Ethereum doesn't use the same format.  The addresses are in hexadecimal and would need to be converted to ASCII to  see any words.

I guess there a few words you can spell with hex:  cafe, babe, abba.  There must be others.

Anyway I would like to add that tspacepilot is a highly trusted
This is not true, the OP is a scammer who will attempt to exploit weaknesses in sites in order to steal money from said sites (in addition to potentially other scammy behavior), will refuse to take responsibility for his actions and is a professional troll.

I would suggest that anyone considering to do business with the OP to avoid him like the plague, and to not do business with him with or without escrow or even with him sending first. I also believe it would be ill-advised for anyone to act as escrow for any trade involving the OP.

Nice, the trolls have arrived.  Interested parties, see trust page (mine as well as his), for the full story.

TLDR: QS has been harassing me nonstop since I had the audacity to disagree with him over procedures for escrow over a year ago.  Eventually, it turned out that he had all kinds of interesting ideas about how to cheat people out of fees by using your own alts as a "trusted third party".

Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled auction and thanks for the bump, QS.

TCP mode seems broken again.  UDP is working.
244  Economy / Auctions / Re: Betcoin AG freeroll tickets on: May 18, 2016, 03:27:19 PM
Okay, ghost was right, I guess the price was too high.

Let's try this again.

Opening bid: 0.005BTC
Bid increments: 0.001BTC

These are tickets to a tournament with a prize pool of 0.25BTC (!) distributed over the top 4 positions.
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: blockchain not confirming on: May 17, 2016, 10:28:34 PM
thanks for every ones help I need to get the coins to my faucet so what my best option how long wil it take for he coins to come bak if I do nothing or how do I do the  start zapwallettxes in my core wallet
thanks

You still haven't provided the wallet you're using.  You may be able to get more specific help if you do so.  In general, what you want to do is back up the relevant private keys but discard the transaction.  I think if it were me, I'd probably import the relevant private keys into another wallet and just take the original one offline.  Then I'd do a spend of the relevant funds with a good fee and that should get you on your way.

EDIT:

Sorry, if you are using core, that is, if you used core to broadcast the original transaction, then do exactly as --Encrypted-- suggested, start the program with the -zapwallets flag.

Hi, I just created my account on your site and I'm playing around on it.  I'd love to get the bonus:

247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: blockchain not confirming on: May 17, 2016, 07:09:59 PM
the trans id for the one I paid a fee for is
873a0d1156da19572785f2b576c92876fe88d91b3d0ab082c9de3236af42a3e0-000
I looked on blockchain as it say invalid id.
how can I cancel a unconfirmed trans witch I did not pay a fee for
I can't find that transaction anywhere.  It's not on any block explorer, nor is it available on my own coin daemon that runs with txindex=1.  What wallet are you using to create and send these transactions?

Indeed, I concur, I can't find any information about that txid.  Are you sure you are using bitcoin (not litecoin, doge, CLAM, some other alt)?  What's your wallet?
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: blockchain not confirming on: May 17, 2016, 04:44:23 PM
Your question needs a little editing, it's kinda hard to understand you.  Probably the best thing you can do is post the transaction ids here so that even if people can't understand your English, they'll be able to see what you're talking about and maybe the context will help.

Dogie, can you clarify what you meant by using *.?

I think he meant searching like so:
Code:
ted*

the dot at the end was used to denote the end of a sentence.

Thanks, got it.  FWIW, that doesn't actually seem to work.  If I search "ted*", I see, inter alia, "unsolicited" (ted at the end of the string), "tedstein" (ted at the beginning of the string) and "twistedtime09" (ted in the middle of the string).  It would be nice to be able to constrain the search, I think.
250  Economy / Auctions / Re: Betcoin AG freeroll tickets on: May 16, 2016, 10:27:37 PM
if you do not find a buyer; ghost15 is my username on betcoin.ag thinks sharing a ticket with me and I share 50/50 the profit generated on Sunday.
it'll be a generous action from you. Smiley

Thanks for your offer, but it won't happen.  If no one wants to buy these, I'll probably just wait until the betcoin devs fix the freeroll tab to work on chromium using GNU/Linux.

Let's constrain the rest of the posts here to actual bids or discussion thereof.

Cheers.  Also, roslinipl adds that the positions 1-4 are all in the money on this freeroll.
251  Economy / Auctions / Re: Betcoin AG freeroll tickets on: May 16, 2016, 09:49:10 PM
Ah, cannot edit the post in here ... I usually forgot about that ..

Anyway I would like to add that tspacepilot is a highly trusted and all info is correct so I wish a successful auction to everyone!

PS. 250 GTD Weekly Freeroll offers a prize not only for the 1st place so it's a real fun!

Best regards.
ok we trust you; but how we can got this ticket and participate at this tourney?

You'll need a betcoin account.  If you win the auction we can arrange payment through betcoin (you tip me the payment to my betcoin account) or you can send the money to me directly or through an escrow.  Once the money is transferred, roslinipl has told me that I only need to send a message to the betcoin folks and they'll transfer my tickets to whoever I say.
252  Economy / Auctions / Re: Betcoin AG freeroll tickets on: May 16, 2016, 08:07:10 PM
Okay, and I can now verify that I actually have 2 of them, not 3.

Also, let me provide some structure to this auction.

Minimum bid:  0.01BTC (10 chips)
Bid increments: 0.005 (5 chips)

I'll close the auction 24 hours from this post.  There are two on sale here, so you can bid for one of them (in which case I'll sell to the two highest bidders).  Or you can bid for two of them (in which case you can buy both tickets for x2 of your bid).

Hopefully that's clear enough now, and good luck.

too costly for a freeroll ticket obtained for free.

I think that you get these by being a member of the signature campaign for over a month.  Since the price is .25BTC, 0.01BTC seems like a fair starting point for that.  But if you're right then no one will bid.  Cheers!
253  Other / Meta / Re: viewing all members temporarily disabled? on: May 16, 2016, 07:47:42 PM
What do you guys would like to see the Members list for? Smiley

I often want to look at the profile/recent posts of some member who's account name I know but where I can't remember the last threads I saw him/her in.  For that reason, I'd like to be able to use the find members functionality better.

Dogie, can you clarify what you meant by using *.?

Yikes, I can't find any EDIT button.  Perhaps you're not allowed to edit posts in the auctions section.  That would make sense, I guess.

Anyway, the tickets are for the 250GTD freeroll.  I believe it's weekly on Sundays and that's 250 "chips" or 0.25BTC.
256  Economy / Auctions / Re: Betcoin AG freeroll tickets on: May 16, 2016, 07:28:55 PM
What tournament does the ticket go to and what is the prize pool?

Sorry that info is missing.  I'm double checking that and I'll add it to the OP shortly.
257  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dooglus is supporting ponzis on: May 16, 2016, 07:26:07 PM
@Hippie Tech - I am not sure I am understanding the context of your quotes in relation to dooglus supporting ponzis.

These and the posts that followed depict how he manipulates people and/or their coins/ponzi.

The easymine/stakes, the fork and "the digger" are examples as to how he goes about his business.

I don't know if I understand either.  Are you saying that dooglus caused or was "the digger".  As I recall, that digging whale, as he was known, caused clam price to drop by an order of magnitude.  What would dooglus stand to gain by devaluing his own money by 90%?

The insiders almost never lose.

They ALWAYS know when it is time to jump on or off that proverbial rocket "to da muun". Roll Eyes

So, that's a nice, cynical comment without much context.  As far as anyone knows, Dooglus, being the biggest holder of CLAM, took the biggest loss when the price dropped due to the whale digging.  If you're saying that he was the digger, then you're saying that he was crashing his own investment by selling so rapidly.  If you're saying he's some insider who knew about the digger, then you're saying that he took a huge loss while the digger sold.  I really think you're going to have to provide some further content to your cynicism if you want anyone else to understand whatever schemes you're imagining.
258  Economy / Auctions / Betcoin AG freeroll tickets on: May 16, 2016, 07:22:18 PM
Hi, I have three (I think there are three of them) freeroll tickets for the betcoin.ag poker freeroll.  I've been told by roslinipl and the betcoin staff that I can sell them and they'll transfer them from my account for me.

So, I don't really have an opening bid, but if this auction doesn't reach a price which seems worth it for the rigamarole of transferring them, then I reserve the right not to sell.  On the other hand, I'm not able to use these tickets myself for now, so I'm happy to sell them for a fair price.

I just dug up my first CLAM, never done it before Cheesy

Congrats and welcome.  What's your plan with it?
260  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: May 13, 2016, 06:25:52 AM
I can't seem to get online every time I launch the software. Keeps trying on connecting . Looking at all these problems why don't you guys just go back to the old software ? I don't play no more as I can't do so in a web based client. I don't understand the decision in leaving out on all those players just to upgrade the software which makes almost no change to the number of players on the site, except for seeing a massive decline.

EDIT : I have decided to go play someplace else right now. Saying this because it should make you realize the importance of changing the software back to the old one or bring in a web client for the new software. Else you guys will likely just lose players.

I'm basically in this same boat.  It totally blows my mind that they don't seem to understand the importance of the web-based client and login for the casual player.  I think they underestimated how much their universal accessibiliity was an asset to them in the old setup.  People said that mavens sucked,  I dunno, it worked.
