May be down for you but yesterday there was trading from 16:00 UTC.

244  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Valencia: Presentación de BITCOIN INVESTORS TRUST SLU on: August 11, 2016, 06:01:27 AM

@makalu, ¡buenos días! ¿Va todo bien?

Trading activo.
246  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BFX tokens; worth anything? When? on: August 09, 2016, 10:09:06 PM
Why would it keep a minimum value? I don't think anyone will be supporting this token on purpose and making walls to stop it from collapsing, it an perfectly go to 0.

Tokens going to zero value means that no one has even the slightest hint of faith in them. That's not going to happen. Someone will believe that the tokens will be ultimately redeemed for USD, at some price greater than zero. Just look at the altcoin market: for some reason there's lots of useless alts that won't go to zero—that's because there are some freaks out there that believe in them. Human diversity guarantees this.

Y si voy a iniciar sesión, err, no veo cómo registrar cuenta nueva.

248  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BFX tokens; worth anything? When? on: August 09, 2016, 06:10:34 AM
If they start trading their tokens I think their price won't stay near a dollar. Almost everyone will dump.

This. Price will fall sharply the minute people are able to sell them.

Now, considering that 1 goxcoin was valued at 0.1 BTC even when gox was pretty much dead, we at least know that the bfx tokens won't go to zero. They will keep some value (0.1 USD at least?)

When Cryptsy came with the news they were hacked I decided to withdraw all mine funds on other exchanges. Since that I never hold any amount bigger then BTC0.01.

Your profits from trading must be in the millions… ah you don't trade I hear?, then why keep <0.01? Why not 0.00000000?

252  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex HACKED - funds stolen ! on: August 05, 2016, 09:32:14 AM
Well, it seems Zane has now confirmed that BTC holders and USD lenders who had funds tied to BTCUSD longs are taking a haircut.

Can you (or anyone else) cite a reference for this? Specifically the "longs" bit.

In the future, refuse exchanges that doesn't PROVE it has 95%+ customer funds in cold storage.

Well that sure is going to be tricky. As a service provider, you'd have to prove that the keys to the funds are not stored on any online system, however you can't prove that something is not happening.

It's called 3rd party audit.

That is only a proof if you trust the auditor. Granted, it's a step forward but still.

257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Bitfinex Hacked] So , learned the lesson ? on: August 03, 2016, 12:36:41 PM
I'd say no. The people who had lost considerable amounts of money there, are at fault, not Bitfinex. Nothing is unhackable, and online exchanges are generally valuable targets for various hackers. It seems like the people in question (who suffered losses) have learnt nothing from Mt.Gox, Cryptsy and so on.

Do you have any suggestion on how to margin trade without keeping the coins on the exchange? Please don't answer "don't margin trade" Tongue

trade only the necessary, can you use api to send fund automatically, after you take profit?

Trading and taking profit is not like going shopping and then leaving the shop until next week. You enter again to shop more. You spend more time inside the shop than outside. At the time of the hack my position was 10.70 BTC short. How can one be short while having their coins in their personal wallet?

259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WORST decision about BTC on: August 02, 2016, 12:53:21 AM
I first knew bitcoin in 2011. I didn't risk a lot so my stash used to be in the hundreds (had I risked, it could be thousands), then I was hit by a car → broken leg → some months on sick leave → reduced income → had to sell in order to eat and pay bills.

I should have starved a bit. Seriously.

Not sure this counts as a "decision" but still.
260  Local / Mercado y Economía / Re: Limite de minimo de compra en Exchanges on: July 29, 2016, 05:35:05 AM
¿Alguna idea?
