241  Other / Off-topic / Re: PS4, what's your impression? on: October 04, 2015, 11:02:39 AM
This is how it works:

PS4(HDCP) > HDMI Cable > TV(HDCP) : Gets picture
PS4(HDCP) > HDMI Cable > TV(No HDCP) : Black Screen

You can bypass this by active HDMI splitters, however, they are against the law.

Not in the Netherlands against the law, allmost everything uses hdcp, only old digital products dont. In my opinion and basic hardware specs ps4 is better in every aspect, accept online. Microsoft handles that better, but that's it. Graphicwise ps4 beats the xbox on every spec that matters...
242  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-10-04] Is a Corrupt FBI Official Threatening Ross Ulbricht’s Family? on: October 04, 2015, 10:10:42 AM
Is Ross Ulbricht’s family in danger? According to CoinTelegraph, Diamond, the alleged alias of a possibly corrupt FBI agent, has delivered threats of torture towards Ulbricht’s mother and sister, hoping to obtain the password for a bitcoin account allegedly containing 300,000 bitcoins (roughly about $70 million in USD) that once belonged to Ulbricht.

There's no end to the lows these agencies will sink, to deal with outlaws, they've become outlows themselfs....

In the past four years, there's probably never been a safer time to hold Bitcoin than now.

I do so hope you're right Smiley It seems every time bitcoin is rising something happens that fucks it up, latest BS, XT....
244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's KILLER app on: October 04, 2015, 08:53:06 AM
I think that earnit is more of a joke. Piggybanks always had an appeal to be phisical items where you store small amounjts of money like change. Why create such a thing for electronic transactions? The fees involved and the required trust in the third party that has to come in to store them e-money completely negates the concept of a piggybank for me.

The behavior of small children are changing due to the mass adoption of tablets and smart phones, now even 3 year old is playing around with a tablet all the time. They grow up in a digital world so it is natural to use digital money, just like in any game

A bitcoin hardwallet should be the right equipment for this kind of piggybank, it works exactly like a piggybank, your bitcoin only exists in this hardwallet. But if many children start to use it, the transaction capacity should be a concern, so only large saving is practical due to fee (But it is easier to understand fee instead of inflation)

Following the same thought, you can have a piggybank for pensioners, where they buy 1 bitcoin each month for their retirement saving account, and the return of that piggybank will be 16% per year guaranteed. With a good fund manager, the return can even reach 30% per year, so that early retirement is achievable at ease. The fund should be accessed by multi-sig to reduce the risk

Pensions tied together with a brand new, way ahaed of its time crytpocurrency. I'm a strong advocate of crypto, but putting pensions in a coin that may or may not be overtaken by a technological superiour blockchain, doesnt seem like a good idea to me. Offcourse its also possible that it will reach 1000 or maybe even 50.000 euro's/dollars, the exact opposite is also a strong possibility.

Bitcoin and the blockchaintechnology is still in a much to juvenile state, it must first grow up and evolve...
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Pump Group Pump Group, Pegapump announcement on: October 01, 2015, 08:31:32 AM
Tell me this group is aint' real and it's all just a fabrication of your imagination. How do you pump a pump group anyway? Smiley

We all choose a group to pump, and then we all enter group en masse as new members, immediately showing massive support for the group.

After we make MASSIVE profits, we choose another group to pump.

Sometimes we might even pump our own pump group.

We already have over 75 Diamond Septuple Members and counting who have made over 1700% profits.  If you have had a positive experience with our group, I encourage you to say so here in the comments.

Have the other mishaps teached you nothing. If you pump a pump group, that pumpgroup can also exit early, just like past joint ventures have done, one group was laughing, all the other groups crying, the risk and trust factor isnt managable like this....
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MrPUMP - your guide to what whales are doing on: October 01, 2015, 08:26:24 AM
Does anybody have any opinions about CLAM, I personally hold a few of those coins, bought them weeks ago and I`m in for the long term.

For me is one of the most decent coins out there, after BURST of course.

There is no group on CLAM it has real price.
This means - it wont dump, but it wont go much UP. Of course unless dev does something decent Smiley Technology may do a pump sometimes.

Eventhough the distribution idea of clams was awesome, only the first adopters profited from this, (old btc addresses). In my view totally wrong, allthough it was a fair distribution. But after distribution the price went up, which is really strange...

Dont believe its a natural price, o time well tell...
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: releases on: October 01, 2015, 08:23:05 AM
It is a shame and contra productive that some wallets are still hard to use and there is no community focus. GRS would otherwise be at 500k-700k already so a request to the devs. Focus on community and let it grow.... Let it grow.....

It's so easy to say, but HOW. People dont care about tech, people care about better propositions, better value for money, OR FREE money Wink

This is the biggest challenge for crypto, not to attract the ideologic or technical interested people, hell they were interested straight away, but to attract people that dont give 2 shits about the paradigm that crypto shakes, this is only possible if you hand out substantial amounts of money to newcomers and make it easy to use, combined by easy to earn and spend. No codes, no scripts no addresses, numbers names and ease....
248  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Easy setup and use Coinjoin or Darkwallet on: September 29, 2015, 09:38:44 PM
Blockchain.info don't have your private keys or anything belongs to you on their database , only the wallet files however they are useless without the password that only you have it .
Wallets are stored in Physical servers which are with guards 24/7 so that shouldn't a problem , just make sure to print your private keys and you should be fine even if the service goes down I assume . Beside their wallet is open source so you can check it out without using it online

Thanks for clearing that up, I was clearly misinformed, after researching was you've said Smiley

It seems I have my solution now finally, just how close does sharedcoin come to coinjoin, is it exactly the same or something different?
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: anyonw knows about when mining bitcoin will end on: September 29, 2015, 09:31:54 PM
Now is very hard to see any new project to make ,open a new big farm to go into bitcoin, just some that have balls will try it at the moment, but main question is where is the prediction about when the mine will end? When it ends the price of bitcoin will get the fuel that is missing ?Will workt the theory of demand and supply,or the rare coin supply? What you guys think?

I dont know even how many power is currently involveld into bitcoin,i know its a lot and huge even difficult is getting harder ,i believe when the process ends bitcoin will hit 1000 dollars and break it as we make with egss nowadays,we trade bitcoins every minute looks no one sleep, soo tax are getting out some btc daily, these should moove the price above but isnt making it because some bad news and some bad visions about our precious bitcoin.

Till all bitcoins are generated.

And you think mining is going to stop after then Huh read my post a few post back Wink

Keeping an eye on this thread, for the tips, but also for the popcorn hahahahaa
251  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain or Bitcoin? on: September 29, 2015, 08:13:40 AM
Some argue that banks could just use the blockchain technology to lower their costs related to transacting and recording - and make money on lending, advice etc etc. Thus no need for bitcoin - banks might use an agnostic blockchain that uses dollars etc.

Others say "but wait" - the the downside is still that bitcoin makes banks obsolete and, more importantly, that the supply is limited and cannot be increased like FIAT.

Well.... really those downsides of banks slotting FIAT through a blockchain constrution - are they real consumer downsides, or are they merely downsides from an ideological or political angle? It seems to me it might be the latter-- and if that is the case then they might be irrelevant 'downsides' for most of the world.

I'll probably choose biticoin because I heard so many good things about it and I think it is more popular than the blockchain anyway that's my opinion.

Bitcoin = the Blockchain technologie, just like blockchain is bitcoin. The public ledger itself combined with all the cryptographic control and security implemented, makes bitcoin to what it is. It's could be easily be taken over by another crypto, just like it could be implemented by banks, if that happens before mass adoption, bye bye bitcoin...
252  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Easy setup and use Coinjoin or Darkwallet on: September 29, 2015, 08:10:56 AM
I already made a topic about Darkwallet to revive the project and so the bitcoin community start funding it but that didn't really work so it seems like Darkwallet project is dead and there is no one who is working , and as you can see here , funding is still at 75% an dit being months it has been that way : https://www.darkwallet.is/donate/

and According to their website (check the bold part mostly)  :

Quote
Remember: this is only a alpha preview. Do not expect stable software yet. Right now it is only available for Chrome/Chromium browsers.

IMPORTANT The wallet is Not Stable or Safe, and at this point you should use it with real money only at Your Own Risk.

You can use it with testnet coins so it's safe to test like that though. Choose testnet network when creating the identity.

Now for what comes to CoinJoin and according to Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CoinJoin :

Quote
here are several implementation of anonymous bitcoin transactions inspired by CoinJoin: SharedCoins,[2] Dark Wallet,[3] CoinShuffle,[4] DarkSend in Darkcoin and JoinMarket.[5]

So for SharedCoin : https://sharedcoin.com/   (It's related to Blockchain.info as far as I know , so you can just go to your Blockchain wallet and go to Sending tab , you should find something there)

Thank you for these options. Really looking for a service such as coinjoin or darkwallet, only without all the tech knowhow, just ninstall and run Smiley

I really like the sharedcoin application, only it talks about trustless, yet wants me to open a account on blockchainwallet!? So I have to trust Blockchain... If they go belly up or decide to dissapear, bye bye Smiley

Since we're talking about substantial amounts, around 7 to 12 btc, I wont be taking that gamble Smiley
253  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Do You Earn Free Bitcoins? on: September 28, 2015, 08:21:48 AM
I would take a real life job for 10 usd an hout, after 3 hours You can buy 0.1 btc easily Smiley

And then how you will live? What do you eat?

Really, you're into bitcoin, have a computer, have a job, but you can't miss 3 hours of pay....

Not really believable, if you really cant eat or live as you put it if you miss 3 hours pay, maybe think about relocation or a carreer change Grin
254  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you estimate the bottom value of Ethereum at? on: September 28, 2015, 08:03:21 AM
Fellow bitcoiners,

When I first heard and read about ehtereum, I was very ciked. A protocol to which every online service can build a layer on top to make use of the trust the p[rotocol brings with it, think about contracts, governing, everything can be decentral as a result Smiley

Yet I knew the price was very much inflated at the start, as usual with pre-sales. Eventhough I know Ether could be worth much more than 0,05, since it has the possibility and ambition to encorporate EVERYTHING into the blockchain!

I'm still waiting, lurking to buy at the right time. I allmost bought a shitload @ 0.003, glad I waited, since this morning it was yet lower again.

I'm interested in views others, positive negative and any predictions on price, based on your views or arguments.

In crypto it's not allways arguments that win, but I want to know what the community thinks about bottom price, and the protocol ehtereum itself Smiley

This is the bottom now.  I suggest you all buy today.

Bet you would have said that @ 0.01 too Smiley Yesterday I thought was the moment, but today proofs me not Smiley

When mining will stop? Uhm never.... If the mining stops, there is no bitcoin, because there are no transactions getting signed anymore.

Once all the bitcoins are in circulation, the miners only recieve fees. By that time, another crypto has taken over, the world as we now it will have ended OR bitcoin is so extremely high in price and the miners are so efficient, that it's still feasable to run Smiley

Just my 2 satoshi's Grin
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's KILLER app on: September 28, 2015, 06:53:28 AM
What is your vision of this killer app?

In my vision the killer app consists of trowing some of bitcoin's anonymity options out the door. Purely based on choice. You can register with an layer build on top of Ethereum, which tracks and saves it for anyone to check. Every address you make from that account will be registered to you. That way people can find eachother easy. The masses dont want to donwload a client, donwload a blockchain read into tech shizzle and such. They want to log in and transfer funds to someone they know. Much like a banking apps nowadays. Also this killer app directly has to deliver a significant amount of bitcoin or any crypto for that matter in order to motivate people to actually try it. So not pennies, but tens of dollars at least Smiley

Most important of all, this all needs to be done with a few clicks, not that people need to download whole blockchains and such Smiley

I absolutely agree for shares bought in December.
But I took the risk and paied the fee on some small accounts and I got my roi on them.

Nobody knows it it will work out when you Pay the fee now, there are a lot problems like pending payments

The problem with paying this fee is that I pay a sum to someone who ows me double that some in back payments....

Someone that's known for not honering the contracts he sells, ask for yet another fee.

I still dont get why this person hasnt been arrested or convicted yet!?

Why is that?
