cuda 2.1 supported and optimized nvidia gpu miner would be great !

edit:can anyone compile this for me ? https://github.com/moneromooo/ccminer-cryptonight

I am assuming that you are referring to a Windows version.
Freshly compiled using Cuda 6.5, with support for all compute versions from 2.0 all the way up to 5.2, but untested.
You will definitely need a very recent driver.

Here you go:

I have sold 8 copies of the pentablake and made 2,4 BTC already. I think the marked is full since the profit of mining penta with the current difficulty is only at 200% more profitable than mining quark@nicehash.

But the sourcecode is for sale for 3 BTC. [...]

I know that profits are never guaranteed, be that with private or public versions.
Market conditions and profitability can change in an instant.

That said, do you really think that if you sell the sources now, that there is any chance at all for those eight early buyers to ever land a profit?
With each new sell that you make, for such a tiny market/opportunity, the returns shrink further for those that bought in. It's not as if the pie is large enough for everybody, is it?

Do note, I do not give a flying f@%# for what you make or don't make on this miner, I have a big fat zero stake on this one. I'm only making this comment as it looks to me that you're approaching private sales in a way that will ultimately hurt your own profits as well as those of people buying stuff from you.

I'll be happy to see everyone involved in the green, and the more, the merrier.

Trip report on running the windows 0.9 beta for the past week or two.  Other than the known issue of needing to type exit 2 separate times in order to exit it has been running smoothly.  It has been using <40MB memory Smiley

I've been on the latest Windows beta for ages now, have done quite a few transactions, no issues at all here.
On exit, the daemon looks to have a wait right after stopping some network function. I don't ever need to type exit 2 times. I just type exit once, then after a few seconds, I just hit enter again.

@kama:

https://github.com/moneromooo/ccminer-cryptonight

This should work with compute 2.0 upwards, but to be perfectly honest, I don't think anyone has tested or reported mining status for that card generation. If you need Win binaries, you can search my posts on this thread. I might need to make a new build to ensure that every possible platform is supported, can take care of that tonight.

Mooo's does AFAIK. Just append .xxxxxx to your username, and the pool will set your miner diff to .xxxxxx.

Edit: If not obvious: replace .xxxxxx with some meaningful difficulty value. Could be .5000, .20000, whatever you desired. Note that there is some minimum difficulty value set by the pool, but I don't recall what that is.

SM 3.0 is not SM 3.5 ! Are you sure about your compilation options there bud ?

As far as I know, the miner should be seen as "unfinished work" at this point. I understand that Wolf0 will be resuming his work on the regular Cryptonight miner soon, and along with that, we should also get an update for the Cryptonight-Light variant.

That's all I know of it. I've got no AMD cards and no experience on using this miner at all.

Does anyone have a working Win64 binary compiled for AMD Gpu yet?

Previous page, Arux had posted one.

Custom board would be better.

Agree! But this one is quite cheap, has a sizable support community, and is readily available.
Just saying, custom boards tend to introduce a whole bunch of other problems (accessibility, hardware issues, availability, price, etc...). Avoiding all those obstacles, then absolutely, a custom board would be awesome!

Yeah. Go ahead and change the right file and in the right place this time  Grin
It should build and run without issues on your card.

There's this Tronsmart Ara x5 for $150 which is fanless, has an Intel Atom x5-Z8300 CPU (2MB cache and supports AES-NI!), 2GB of RAM, and 32GB eMMC.

Unfortunately the cache on Atom is 1 MB for each 2 cores, thus not usable for Cryptonight. Well, usable but the performance is poor.

The power usage on those is so low that the mining efficiency still isn't terrible, but it is mediocre.

It has USB ports so when the internal storage runs out you can plug in a drive and keep going.

How about this one:
https://www.parallella.org/board/

A crowd funded project to turn these into Monero nodes would be pretty sweet! The onchip FPGA cache seems tiny, but it also appears to have a reasonably high off-chip memory bandwidth. Any takers? Wolf'?  Wink

I always felt that the CLAMS distribution model was rather interesting (even tough I didn't get any  Cry)
Maybe some similar scheme could be devised, perhaps even incorporating a % via presale also.

@ZeroFossilFuel,

Are you refering to some other ccminer fork, or the one on this thread? I'm a bit confused here with that line reference in Makefile.

If I understand correctly, this is the default definition currently on git:
https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/blob/windows/Makefile.am#L82

You'd need to comment that line, and uncomment the one for your target architecture, just below (me thinks)...  Roll Eyes
