I know things have been quiet in NFD land, but there's been a lot of hard work under the hood. As an advance notice, I wanted everyone on this thread to know that NFD has entered into a strategic partnership with BTC2Nxt to implement Automated Transactions (AT) into NFD. The way things are going, NFD will implement AT before Qora.
Wow, this really came out of no where...good news and good luck with the implementation. I remember reading posts between CIYAM and Cfb from NXT regarding AT across 2 POS coins not possible: Yes Nxt-to-Qora would of course be possible (assuming Nxt AT goes to *mainnet*)...
I believe it's a wrong statement. I quote it to reserve a place for "Told Ya So" or "Sorry, I Was Wrong". It will be good to see which dev giant prevails. I'm rooting for CIYAM, NFD and Qora of course.

Well one thing is for sure, If Qora ever gets out of this bear market and gains momentum, no one can justifiably claim that qora distribution is poor.

Only 1 address finding blocks (Bter)...pls forge people.

@Qora: will there be any updates before OS release?

Finally a moderated thread...long live Qora!

Any news on the BTCD client?

Agree with recent comments...it is a very bad idea for Sia to create the additional assets and dilute early investors' position. Justification is weak and long term effects to investors will be a killer imo...(of course from your point of view, short term would be great for Sia team...and this comes across only as greed).
Please produce a product before even considering raising more money.

Been reading a bit about what TOR is going through regarding attacks and site seizures by the EU and US Feds. One comment on the thread states a possible vulnerability to BTCD and superNet IMO: "My speculation about what happened follows. The attacker floods a particular hidden service with random/innocent GET requests at a chosen time. The network links are monitored for that flood pattern. Then the suspected servers are unplugged briefly, and the attacker checks which HS goes down at the exact same time. Now the search for evidence actual begins. It is a very simple and effective attack, particularly against low-traffic servers." TOR discusses some points of attack in the following thread. Worth a read for thinking about if any of the proposed issues may affect the BTCD network: https://blog.torproject.org/blog/thoughts-and-concerns-about-operation-onymous/

It was outlined in the previous forum, but it's for the best that I post it here as well.
Thanks for the explanation Pizpie.

5 days ago, 50 million NHZ moved out of the poloniex@escrow account into the escrow payout account. 10 million then went to NHZHeroes account and apparently distributed to various personal accounts.
I know NHZ distribution model is bounty-based but these huge distributions should be noted somewhere at least in the forum imo. Is everyone okay that this is not discussed?! Can someone explain why escrow is moving that much NHZ and to whom? Please send links if I missed it, thanks!

What happened to the NHZAdult asset ann post...deleted by mods or issuer? Nothing on the forum either. Is it a scam or what?

Good to see that Sianote has rebounded a bit on the NXT AE. Looking forward to seeing what you devs can do with Sia after all. Good luck.

So, 'Blocknet' is in the above announcement subject for NHZ. What's going on with blocknet? I've been reading a lot about it being a scam and such. Is that news FUD? Probably not a good idea to associate NHZ with blocknet if it's a no go imo.

3. There is no 'sublinear consensus'. Sia is a single blockchain and will need to deal with blockchain bloat in all of the same ways that apply to other altcoins. This shouldn't be a problem until we have multiple millions of users.
Have you considered cryptonite's (XCN) mini blockchain protocol as a possible solution?

I am slightly annoyed to see that especially one wallet is taking the majority of the fees - obviously due to the 32mill balance in that wallet!
It is the funds from the Blocknet ITO that were purchased using NHZ. The wallet is no longer staking, but is still forging. I will inquire about having it split up to break up its weight. Any update on this? Yes, staking + forging has been disabled. Forging kept getting switched back on, but I believe it's permanently off now. Hasn't forged a block in 35 minutes. http://explorer.nhzcrypto.org/?page=account&id=5964032036011944163I will continue to monitor. Thank you sir.

Just updated the official bootstrap Download http://www.bitstarcoin.com/bootstrap.datBackup your wallet Delete everything apart from wallet.dat, and config (if you have one) from your %appdata%/bitstar copy bootstrap.dat into %appdata%/bitstar restart wallet Edit: Very important ... Make sure your on the current wallet i followed these instructions. I opened my wallet 20 minutes ago and it's still at the orange Bitstar wallet loading screen. It says it is importing the bootstrap blockchain data file. how long does should this take? It takes quite long but it's faster than loading from online. I have done it several times. Just wait patiently. You can go watch %appdata%\bitstar to see it progress. There are two files that grow in size. Don't remember them now. Well, it seems like it's not validating anything, it seems like it's downloading stuff, its really slow. Where do I add the bootstrap.dat and do I need to rename it? Also, this file should work on mac ok, right? Thanks.

So, the wallet (mac osx) keeps *freezing* either after a day or so and recently, as soon as staking began. I have not upgrated the beta services. Still can not stake. What's up...any ideas how to fix this?

I deposited BITS in the client and staking not happening "not mature". How long before coins begin to stake?
v Thanks

With this page 500 I want to say some words:
I want to thank the Qora dev for his dedication towards the community and the development of Qora. Thank you Qora.
I also want to thank the initial stakeholders and other community members. Thank you.
Because of the trust of the stakeholders in the Qora dev this coin is alive and kicking and there is a lot more to come.. We are not even open source and there is a huge trust in the future of this coin, the dev and the community. The community is also strong and growing everyday with more people that are finding out Qora is sustainable, strong and has a lot to offer.
Hopefully the stakeholders keep being patient, because the stakeholders and the community are together with the dev the force behind this succes.
+1
