Now we are in a thread where we can be a little off topic I thought I would mention I have come home from work

if you're still working you've been failing as a legendary imo. and that vomit thing is not gentleman even. You should have a platoon of wet nannies serving yourself and the kids now.
Because being breastfed is better than a cigar.

Whoa whoa whoa.

Failing?  My first bitcoin was bought between $100-$200 and the most I have ever spent on one bitcoin is $400. I accumulated some coins during the bear market after gox. To not work I would have have had to invested around $50k at this time. (Which I did not unfortunately)

I wish I was earlier in to bitcoin believe me.

Anyway, I feel I am in a decent position right now.

Now we are in a thread where we can be a little off topic I thought I would mention I have come home from work and had a nice shower, put some clean clothes on and feel good.

My wife says ok, one has the kids and the other does dinner. Of course I opted for kids, I hate doing dinner. I then ask my 2 yr old to go into the living room and I then pick up my 1 month old baby boy.....

He then projectile vomits 3 times all over me. We are both totally covered and I mean absolutely drenched.

I had 2 options and I should have chosen dinner.

Man, "declare" and "war" must be words that the robo trading bots look for to spike a massive buy order, lol. All perfectly timed I'm sure.

Shorts just shit der pants.

Let's hope this does not escalate to a full blown WW3 or we can all stick our bitcoins we know where Sad

Internet started as military DARPA project for continuous govt/mil communications during a WW3 type scenario.

Bitcoin runs on the internet.

So...

......gentlemen?

Toknormal have you sold all your coins and going to buy back at $200? Or are you going to wait until after 5k before selling all?
248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 25, 2017, 09:21:54 AM

Big Picture Elliot Wave Analysis:

Bitcoin going back to $200 in next great correction prior to reaching the $20k range. He counts the waves differently and gets the same pattern each time.

I know there are no fundamentals so it is difficult to put a price on it but $200 does not make much sense to me... It's common sense knowing that as soon as we approach 2k people will start buying...
Ask yourself a question, what would you do if BC gets to 2k?

Sell it all and buy higher?

That is savage. If it goes to $200 do you not think we will be done?

I haven't heard that before! Very good!
251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 24, 2017, 07:01:12 AM
So way back in 2013, I devised a little unscientific theory as a way to measure the growth of Bitcoin and thus it's supported price floor.

I didn't have an accurate way to measure the exact number of participants and accounts across the world, so I just used Coinbase as a reference.

I surmised that for each 5X multiple in number of accounts, the price would be supported at around a 10X from the last price floor.

In 2015, Coinbase had around 2M accounts, and the price floor was found ~$250/btc.

Now they have approximately 10M accounts, and the price floor probably sits around $2500/btc (a rough guess).

So to extrapolate, in order to reach a support of $25k/btc, Coinbase would need to hit around 50M accounts.

Can we do it in the next 2-3 years?  I think it's possible. In 4-5 years I think it's a lock.

This is a great theory here Torque. I like your thinking!

Just don't

I think it will be sidelined until them, going up and down in the 4000's.

Are you liking the current bear market, gentlemen?

We will go down slowly to $1500.

This bear market will last for five months.

The pigs will get slaughtered, eventually, and we will have a small bear run, followed by Amazon announcing they will now accept bitcoins by December, right before Christmas. Then bull run + bear correction + official announcing = 6k easy.

up and down in the 4000's --> slowly to $1500 bear market for five months (into Feb?) --> 6k easy by December

Man, Nostradamus ain't got nothin' on you dude.  Cheesy

REKT as the kids say

I have the white. So did you just insert the seed of the 1st into the second to use it as a back up?

Sorry, but if a noob with hardware wallets.

I haven't done anything with the second one yet. In fact I haven't even broken the cellophane wrapping and seal on the box. I have it as a ready-to-go hardware backup replacement, should anything happen to the first. I'm gonna just roll the dice and assume that it works.

I'd say that's a fairly safe assumption. Looking forward to setting it up later.

Today is a big day.

I am moving from being a paper wallet bitch to hardware wallet whore.

Trezor?

Yes Torque

Good man. I have one too. Love it. Couldn't imagine not having one now.

I have a backup one as well.

My two Trezors are known as 'Gandalf the Gray' and 'Gandalf the White'. Lol.

Can I live on bitcoin for a week?

I thought I'd lost my wallet on a family day out today and I've cancelled all my cards and business cards etc. And now just as I put the phone down I have had a call saying my wife's friend accidentally took it home with her in her baby change bag.

Fuck sake.

I can't even imagine the scenario that results in my wallet ending up in my wife's friend"s baby's change bag or any scenario requiring 3 possessives in a row for that matter!  I have not lived...
I can sympathize though; it's a pain in the ass having to get all new banking/credit cards but on the bright side, you don't have to worry about identity theft.

Typically I was informed of her having the wallet as soon as I'd made the last call to the bank cancelling my cards.

Unbelievable

We need some news to spike it. Is the LN ready?

No, all is going nicely. But here's some news:

50k??? Well that would do. I was hoping for 32k like Adam promised but 50k is acceptable also.
