I updated to 0.1.5.4e and entered my seed from the ICO site but my balance is zero. The address matches what's on the ICO site. How can I see my balance?
You can use the block explorer: kpx.io Did you already request a payout? If not, then you won't see your balance. The address won't show in the block explorer because it has no transactions. I didn't realize I had to request a payout. I've done that using my original seed. When is the next payout? Should be next friday. Payments were just recently moved to a bi weekly schedule due to lack of requests. However if you have just requested it expect it around next friday. |

Now I got confused, despite the instruction on the first page, you told me on personal message that we can not send coins directly from ICO to exchanger, we need iguana for that. I dont, because i dont have the technical Knowledge. But if people ask for money for a project, they should know what they do, right? I dont say it is easy to build something like that. It is certainly not. Its a really hard business. For me (and some others here too it seems) it looks like the team is unable to cope with the situation and (what is way more disturbing) to get a realistic view on it. The situation has already been dealt with. So what is the issue? The realistic view is KMD has been out for about 1.5 months, the scope of what it is trying to accomplish is large and experimental there are bound to be issues along the way. The team acted quickly and professionally in dealing with this. The initial ICO distribution was delayed a couple weeks due to implementing the btcd swap. At this time no one received coins, so no party benefitted, there were no exchanges accepting kmd so no one lost out on trading. It just another case of idiots making a big fuss over non-issues |

Wooh! I had a very long back-read. Been disappointed with the buggy wallets but I felt very glad at how main dev will spend his own money to refund some of the victims.
And btw what are other effects on a rollback that I saw lots of people screaming? Not an IT guy but I felt devs made the right decision.
Thats about all the effects of the rollback, the hacker unlimited coin creation chain will fork off into its own thing, komodo chain will update illegal coins are removed and tx that happened will get reversed. james is doing compensation for legitimate tx that were reversed. This shows the strength of a division of powers and delayed proof of work. With delayed proof-of-work you can look at the btc blockchain for the last legitimate block hash, with the notary node system solutions to problems and updates can be quickly deployed. |

Wondering why Nxt and Vericoin are not part of the wallet anymore.
Any important reasons why? Both coins were the main reason why I had used the Supernet Wallet before Iguana was released.
NXT afaik will not be a part of iguana. Vericoin ( and its reserve, Verium) is more than welcome to part of iguana, the issue surrounding this is that vericoin has made enough different changes to its code that messes with compatibility, if vericoin devs could provide a solution for this then it could be in the coin lineup. |

The FUD being pushed out here is ridiculous. the bug has been fixed, and james is putting KMD from his own personal funds up to compensate the few people that may have been ripped off due to the hacker dumping onto an exchange. The fact this the bug was handled swiftly shows the strength of Komodo, all code is going to have bugs in it its how you deal with the situation is what matters.

No , the attacker found an exploitable bug, and the blockchain is being rewound to undo it, but now we all can ask, 'what else would warrant rewind of blockchain', and this is the problem. You said it yourself an exploitable bug. Something that should not have been there. No reason to keep it in when It was not supposed to be there in the first place Comparing this to the Bter hack is disingenuous as well as that was a 3rd party exchange that got hacked and not the system itself. |

since 3 weeks komodo team says that next update will come but nothing happened...no news...no newsletter...nothing...whats going on there in komodos cave??
An experimental release was announced and put out but i do not believe it has installer built for it so you will need to build yourself. Many of the bugs have been fixed and the GUI devs are always squashing more, the next release ( with installer ) will have more additional functionality, such as a few assetchains and jumblr. |

As soon as Iguana wallet start releasing the new versions of the wallets, People need a way to transfer between each other stealth money, especially the drug market in the deep web. If there's is not a full functioning wallet, who the hell will trust in this coin, not even the holders are trusting in this coin and that is 1 of the reasons, they prefer to have their coins in high-risk exchanges and that's why they are selling. That is the problem with this dev team, they are working but not fast enough. The technology is good but the computer wallet is trash.
Next time any DEV wants the create a new crypto, make sure you have a 100% functioning wallet before releasing everything.
It's actually weird they are continuing to develop lots of features and platform improvements at the same time while its wallet is very very problematic.  The native command-line wallet is pretty stable and Iguana GUI wallet and JavaSwing wallet are both receiving much in the way of stability increase with the soon to be released next version. Jumblr has been added to KMD pretty smoothly, now the methods of doing other coins like BTC is being tested. Id say the development team is doing pretty well. |

I would like to address concerns regarding marketing:
The first thing to keep in mind is that marketing has only begun one month ago. In that time period, we have seen an increase across all channels in numbers of users subscribing as well as increased traffic to our website. On the content front, 8 articles have been published on SuperNET, as well as several others that have been published on 3rd party channels. There are articles that are still in line to be published as well. The Website has been reworked and is about to be switched over to the new version. The amount of back links to the website has doubled in the past month what it has had all previous years combined. Information gathering and reaching out to crypto influencers is also ongoing. This is just a partial list of what has been done from the top of my head.
There are plenty of things in the works as well from different members of the marketing team to work in expanding our influence. We have chosen a slower approach so that our marketing efforts are built on a solid foundation. So that when opportunities present themselves, we will be able to make the most of them.
In addition, there will be a big announcement at the end of this week regarding marketing, so stay tuned!

Why should you do this? - you will help the development team; this is another usecase for KMD - you will conceal your funds; gain privacy - as a community we all need to JUMBLR as much as possible to enhance its privacy effect A million KMD deposit would keep the JUMBLR service busy for over a week, and the more participation we get the more privacy the service provides. Once there is a critical mass, then it becomes the most private way to mix funds, and since it is not subject to any of the normal risks it should become self-sustaining. The use of Jumblr costs about 0.3 % Message from jl777: need some people who are able to test JUMBLR. at least 2 people to start JUMBLR of their funds at approx the same time. Then to make sure it completes and then to verify that using block explorer it isnt possible to know who controls the destination KMDjumblr addresses. JUMBLR is unique in that all the "mixing" happens without any other parties directly involved. you are always in control of your funds, there are no multisig, multiparty tx. yet we end up with fully anonymized funds in the KMDjumblr address. My next step is to add the DEX of BTC <-> KMD on top so we get a BTC jumblr, but if we can get people to test the JUMBLR core (working with KMD only) in parallel it will speed things up.

When I input my wallet seed to log in I get the message "Opps ... something went wrong!".
Same message appears when I create new wallet and confirm the seed.
Days ago I successfully logged in.

Can someone shine a light on the revshare asset.
What I understand so far: There should be a client for that asset chain and you somehow import your btcd private key int here and done !?
So I do not need to have to deal with the Komondo ICO page to get rev shares corretc?
Second what are they good for?
Do they generate interest in kmd or something or is this just another coin/asset with 0 interest and 0 value because no one uses it?
I try to figure out if it even makes sense to claim those shares. When there is no value attached to them I don't see what they are good for and why I should even bother to get them!?
Revs asset has 5% of supernet crypto777 and instantdex revenue streams being paid to it when those projects come online. |

Zcash and Dash are shooting up pretty fast the last couple of days. I wonder if any of this will help KMD price eventually? It is just sitting there and dropping and seems like no one cares. But could double or triple in a day out of nowhere, so I'm not selling my KMD at these prices. Of course it could also continue to trend downwards, and it's a calculated risk, like all investments.
Dash adoption has grown recently Here is only the merchants list https://www.dash.org/merchants/ Till now Komodo adoption is to rise PoS interests, and to trade - that probably ends with a no-staking/no-adoption but throw. Maybe someone will prefer Komodo to Dash when stealth transactions will be available. The problem with that merchant list is that not all those businesses listed are still active. |
