241  Economy / Economics / Re: China are back to mining Bitcoin. on: February 22, 2024, 11:58:45 AM
Quote
Gagon said he didn't see this ban as something concerning Bitcoin at all rather he sees it as politics, currently this ban I think has been lifted and Gagon sees this as an infrastructural development to the economy of china.

Can you provide any valid evidence that the cryptocurrency mining ban in China was lifted? Without any evidence, you are just discussing gossips and lies and speculating about the subject. Yes, there might be crypto miners in China, but that doesn't mean that the mining ban is lifted. The Chinese government and the Communist party cannot achieve 100% control over the entire population of China. There are some people and businesses that are breaking the law. Maybe the government is secretly supporting crypto mining while openly speaking against cryptocurrencies, but this seems more like a conspiracy theory to me and I don't get the logic behind such move.

Have you ever tried something like this situation before?
So what is your thoughts on this, 50/50 good for you or nah?
Will you insist to have an ego battle if you are on the same situation?
If your answer is yes then Why?
And if no then why not?
What are the things you would do to resolve the issue?
How do you think you can handle this kind of situation?

You know the saying "Money changes everything." Grin
I don't know who is lying and who is telling the truth, so maybe the 50/50 split is the best solution here.
If I had won the lottery, I would never split the jackpot with my significant other, but that's just me.
If you suddenly have lots of money, just end your relationship/marriage with your average looking wife/girlfriend and find a better looking girl. This might sound ruthless, but that's just how men are. You can't escape the human nature.
Those two were dating for three months. Are they really a couple? They don't have a marriage, so the woman can't insist on getting 50% of the man's property.
Anyway, this topic isn't about gambling. Why are you posting in the gambling discussion forum?
243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain technology has the potential to transform government on: February 22, 2024, 06:43:41 AM
Researchers and practitioners have demonstrated that the benefits of blockchain and distributed ledgers aren’t limited to cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.

How possible is this ?

Quote from: https://blogs.worldbank.org/governance/blockchain-technology-has-potential-transform-government-first-we-need-build-trust

I keep hearing all those "blockchain has the power to transform" this and that for the last 7 or 8 years. So far, blockchain technology didn't disrupt or change or transform any industry outside the cryptocurrency markets.
It's theoretically possible to implement blockchain technology in the election process to make elections more transparent and honest, but I don't think that the politicians around the world are willing to make such changes.
Perhaps the blockchain technology really has the potential to transform the governments, but are the governments willing to transform themselves?
One blockchain hater said that blockchain technology is a "glorified database". Is this true? Are we applying some "magic powers" to blockchain technology? I don't think that this technology is some kind of magic pill, that will miraculously solve all problems.
244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who buys Bitcoin at $500k on: February 21, 2024, 11:47:29 AM
Bitcoin to rally more than $500k says some crypto analyst.
Bitcoin has pass $50k but for me,we need a close watch. We are expecting halving in April, looking at the daily chart we see Bitcoin moving to $67k but I expect to see  retracement to $40k before any move so as to gather enough momentum.
Bitcoin has more buying pressure on it now than ever because of;
ETF approval which open room for more investors to invest and minimize there risk thereby holding more coins .
Election would also have impact  on it move, because of general election coming up in over 50 countries of the world.
Inflation taking it lead.
Tension in economy of countries,etc.
But holding till September 2025 would be worth it since the bull run will last till then.
My question is who buys Bitcoin at that price..?
Will the value of Bitcoin keep increasing after then?

Who is this "crypto analyst"? Would you mind sharing his name or you want to keep it a secret?
I don't think that the elections around the world have any major influence over the Bitcoin price.
Bitcoin will never reach 500K USD. This is ridiculous. Who is doing to spend trillions of dollars pumping the BTC price that high?
Inflation and "tensions in economies of countries" influencing the BTC price? Let me remind you that the inflation in many countries back in 2022 was way higher, but the BTC price in 2022 dropped from 45K to 15K USD, due to the Terra/Luna crash, Three Arrows, FTX drama, etc.
The theory that global inflation is pumping the Bitcoin price isn't always true(it's not true in the short term).
245  Economy / Economics / Re: My top 3 picks for up coming crash on: February 21, 2024, 11:03:17 AM
Biggest hit will get Luxury goods and yachts and expensive art work.
Then will be cars and real estate europe UK USA and Canada off course.
Real estate it depends but over Southern europe like spain Costa del sol Im expecting one of the biggest real estate  crash.
But Luxury goods and brands will take first hit i think biggest hit will take expensive art work.

Everything what's not traded in exchangers are dangerous assets to hold.

Im expecting the crash will start in few months.

The number of millionaires and billionaires around the world is growing. Why do you think that the markets for luxury goods will crash?
Do you really believe that most very rich people will suddenly lose their wealth? I'm not so sure about this.
I agree that the real estate markets are overpriced in some countries, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they will crash.
You expect a crash in a few months? Did you see that in a crystal ball or did you use tarot cards to predict the future?
Thousands of such "doom & gloom" predictions were made in the past 15-20 years but the USA, Canada and the UK are still holding on.

Even with a rich guy gambling, still has this regret he just made, so how much more for an average guy to take the risk of spending his hard earned money just to gamble?

Have you experienced this kind of situation wherein you spend huge amount of money and then regret after the loss? Is your reaction the same with that guy on the video?

Why do you even care about this "famous influencer"? If he really is that famous, he would recover this 4000 USD loss pretty fast.
Is he paid for endorsing a particular casino? What is this blurred sign on the left side of the image?
Influencers are supposed to be entertaining. He is most likely overreacting in order to be entertaining for his viewers.
I agree that losing a decent amount of money is painful(even when you are rich), but should we feel sorry for this guy or something?
Nobody forced him to bet 4K on gambling. Losing money while gambling is something normal.

Maybe 10 years from now in 2034 someone will be doing this same calculation, that 10 years ago in 2024 if we bought Bitcoin we would have made 34600% profit. At that time maybe the price of Bitcoin will rise at 8 digits! Maybe I won't be around then but Bitcoin will be fine. Smiley

There's no way the Bitcoin price could hit 8 digits, because the BTC market cap would be bigger than the global GDP.
All those "What if you bought BTC back in 2010?" forum posts are pointless. Nobody believed back in 2010 or 2014, that the Bitcoin price in 2024 would be 50K USD. You could make the same "what if you bought" posts about every big altcoin as well. What if you bought ethereum back in 2015, when the price of one ETH was around one dollar? Such questions doesn't make any sense anymore.
It's like asking, "what if you picked the same sequence of numbers, that won the lottery?"
The prices of Gold, real estate and BTC are going up mostly because the fiat currencies are devaluating, not because Gold, BTC and real estate are becoming more valuable.

In my opinion, if it's very impossible for bayern to get zidane as he never talked about the possibility of going to the bundesliga. As far as i know that if zidane prefers to go back in la liga os serie a instead of bundesliga, Bayern has not yet tried to approach him but i guess that bayern will do that soon.
I was also feeling so upset with the performance showed by tuchel. It feels like that tuchel has no place anymore in the squad. This makes officials are hunting the new coach.

The rumors about Zidane replacing Thomas Tuchel in Bayern Munich are just clickbait lies. I wonder why Zidane stayed without a football club several years after leaving Real Madrid. He must have some serious reason for this decision. I don't think that the owners of Bayern will be able to convince Zinedin Zidane to become the new coach of Bayern Munich. Maybe Bayern will join the competition for signing with Xabbi Alonso after the end of the season. I also hear rumors about PSG wanting to buy Marcus Rashford from Manchester United as a replacement of Mbappe. This doesn't seem serious to me. Rashford is definitely not a leader and he's in a bad shape.
249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Wins: Your Money Was Returned to You. on: February 20, 2024, 07:32:17 AM
There have been saying that before you win a game in gambling, you would have lost enough funds and that means you didn't win any new or extra money to yourself but the casino return part of your money which you have lost before to you. And some will still say that what about those who have not playing gamble before and they won in their first day in gambling. Well those people newly converts to the gambling system will still dash the casino company that win again because the first time win is always to lure them to the system and making them to perpetual adoration to gamble. And I don't think someone in the gambling industry has as a win win gambling history. Or you wins are bigger than the loss. And all the experiences I have in gambling I have not seen that and also those of my friends who are gamblers have not to me that they only win and there is no loss record in their gambling history. And all the ones I have seen and known, the loses are more than the wins. And when I carefully look at the argument I also accept the assertion that what you win was part of your loss. Is that true? Make your input.

I understand the logic behind your post, but you have to bear in mind two things:
1.It's close to impossible to have only wins and almost no loses in gambling. The gambling games are designed that way(and yes, some casinos have rigged games). If having more wins than loses was the norm in gambling, most casinos would simply go bankrupt.
2.Gambling isn't a way to make money. Gambling is just a fun escapist activity that, can help you forget your existential problems for a while.
And yes, gambling can cause you even more problems, when you get addicted, but addiction is something bad in general. You can get addicted to video games, porn, drugs, alcohol, etc.
250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Warning: Cryptocurrency Theft Involving Kaspersky Password Manager - My Story" on: February 20, 2024, 06:49:03 AM
Quote
On July 12, 2023, I became a victim of cryptocurrency theft in the amount of 1.32605552 BTC. I had access to my wallet only on a paper medium, as well as through Kaspersky Password Manager, where 12 secret words were stored to access the wallet in the Trust Wallet application on my iPhone XS Max. Amazingly, my funds were transferred to another wallet, despite the fact that I did not receive any phishing or spam emails. Kaspersky suggested contacting the police to initiate an official investigation, which I did. A criminal case was opened, but, unfortunately, Kaspersky does not respond to police requests.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Unfortunately, I don't think that you will get back your Bitcoins.
I have never used a password manager in my entire life. I don't store important passwords even in my browser's password manager.
Why would you store your 12 word seed phrase in a centralized password manager? This is like giving your credit card details to a random stranger. Never trust anyone when it comes to your private keys/see phrase. Trust yourself and keep the private keys/see phrase in a piece of paper that is hidden in a good place. Maybe having several cold wallets and not keeping all eggs in on basket is another great advice, but I see that you already did this. I would totally freak out if I have all my BTC stored in only one cold wallet.

- is it right to sell ones casino account, most especially when the account is KYCed?
- Do casinos have any policy against account sells?
- If you have the opportunity of buying a casino account, would you buy or build yours from afresh?
- Would you sell your casino account if you decide to leave gambling completely, most especially, your KYCed account? If yes, how do you trust the buyer?
- Over all, is casino account trading legitimate? If yes, should I create a thread where gamblers can easily post their casino account sell ads?

1.Why don't you read the Terms of Service of most crypto casinos. This will answer your questions.
2.No. I wouldn't buy casino accounts. There's no point spending money on this sh*t, since the account can be banned in no time.
The casino customer support can see that the user is logging in from a different IP address. Isn't this suspicious?
3.No, account trading isn't legitimate. I guess that many scammers are selling "VIP accounts" on some shady social media groups and the people should be aware about those scams.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gary Gensler: "Bitcoin is not that decentralized" on: February 19, 2024, 07:14:16 AM
Quote
We're essentially selling our BTC to companies driven by mainstream governments' own interests. With this, Bitcoin's true value proposition has failed (banks win). At least, the code is open source. If BTC becomes compromised, what's stopping us from moving to a more decentralized chain in the future (Litecoin, Monero)?

It is theoretically possible for the governments and central banks to make Bitcoin centralized. What makes you think that it would be impossible for the governments and central banks to take control over any decentralized altcoin like Litecoin or Monero?
I guess that Gensler is mistaking decentralization with redistribution. A few big corporations can hold most of the BTC in existence, but the BTC blockchain will remain decentralized, as long as there are multiple BTC miners and nodes. Anyway, the process of concentration of capital and resources in the hands of a few major corporations is completely natural. Bitcoin is no different than any financial asset. It's normal for most BTC in circulation to be bought by several big banks and corporations. BTC is a scarce financial asset with big potential for a higher price in the future.
253  Economy / Economics / Re: Step up your game before the game steps you down. on: February 18, 2024, 11:05:15 AM
If only we know how bad the economy is degrading globally, we would want to push ourselves to our limit and focus on that our skill or business. Taking it up to the next level. Some persons are still skeptical about the business they own, while some are waiting for the opportunities, they were promised to them by friends or relative and others are comfortable because they have rich people around them that if they place a call, they will answer them.

As the economy is getting worst it is difficult for a responsible adult to go to bed without planning on how to grow his business or how to attract new customers, not just new though but potential customers and business partners that will have big influence in his business. Time waits for no man. Yes, the life is filled with ups and down, but we won't stop trying so that we can have that impact on the existence of man just like how other nerds have done.

The economy is degrading globally? The global GDP had a growth of 2.7% for 2023 and it kept growing the past several years.
I don't know about the current economic situation in your country. The fact that your country's economy isn't going well doesn't mean that the global economy is in a downfall.
I don't get the point of your forum thread. Getting your sh*t together is the most generic advice ever. It seems to me that you are just wining and complaining about the current situation. Was is easier for the business owners in the past? I don't think so. Running a business has always been hard.
254  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK SHADY/SCAMMY BEHAVIOUR. WATCH OUT GUYS on: February 18, 2024, 08:09:47 AM
So basically this isn't a scam accusation and you are just complaining about having to deal with all the KYC bullshit before withdrawal.
I totally get it, but unfortunately almost all crypto casinos are going this. Asking for KYC before withdrawal, instead of asking for verification right after registering your account or before you deposit any money. Maybe the crypto gambling industry should be required by the laws and regulations to change this sneaky behavior.
It's kinda hilarious to see the words "FREE MONEY" in a promotional email coming from a crypto casino. Nothing comes for free in this life.
Is anybody actually dumb enough to believe that any crypto casino is going to give him free money? This type of misleading marketing is insulting the intellect of all gamblers.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be very careful and attentive when selling your bitcoins on: February 18, 2024, 07:18:37 AM
I haven't used a centralized cryptocurrency exchange since 2019(if I remember correctly). I'm selling my BTC outside the centralized exchanges and I don't have to deal with buy and sell orders. I never had any problems with selling my BTC so far. I guess that this Novadax exchange isn't very convenient and user friendly, so this Bitcoin investor had placed the wrong sell order. This is yet another Bitcoin horror story about losing your coins due to your own mistakes. Some people lose their private keys, other people place the wrong sell orders. Sh&t happens... Unfortunately we can't do anything about this problem.
256  Economy / Gambling / Re: What would you like to ask a crypto casino owner? on: February 16, 2024, 11:30:55 AM
Hi everyone!

I have arranged an interview with the owner of a crypto casino (I will not disclose the brand name yet).

I think the interview will be more interesting if I add questions that other gamblers are interested in to my questions.

So, if you would like to ask anything, drop your questions here.

The interview will be posted here, so you won't miss answers to your questions.

Is this guy an owner of a big and established crypto casino, or he owns a small and newly launched crypto casino?
I think that this casino owner will remain anonymous and revealing the name of his casino would seem like a marketing gimmick.
I don't believe that this guy will give honest answers to the most difficult questions. My questions would be:
1.Does he pay his taxes(and I don't expect an honest answer)?
2.Does he have any business partners or he runs the entire business by himself?
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why in some religion gambling is forbidden? on: February 16, 2024, 07:29:35 AM
When we talk about religion we cannot dine the forbidden things like alcohol, prostitution and many other things in this topic we will discuss why do gambling is forbidden (Haram, interdit) .
So can you tell me why is it forbidden in your religion?
And for the non religious persons what you think ?

Is this a rhetorical question? All bad habits are forbidden by most religions around the world. Giving loans is also forbidden by Islam(but Islamic banking still exists). Borrowing money and giving loans was also forbidden by the Christian church in the medieval ages, but the Christian world became secular and more liberal. Gambling is forbidden, because is leads to greed(which is a big sin) and it can ruin your financial situation(and the situation of your family). All big religions usually have a negative view on money and everything closely related to money.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the Best Option: Because of Dollar Rate Cost of Living is on the Peak on: February 16, 2024, 06:50:24 AM
Quote
In my own understanding if bitcoin is adopted as a legal tender in my country the cost of living will reduce.

The cost of living in any country around the world has little to do with Bitcoin. If you live in a small and underdeveloped country, which has a low value national currency, then switching to BTC might provide some benefits, but I don't think that the overall cost of living in your country will drop. I still don't see any mass adoption of Bitcoin among the small business and the majority of the people. Bitcoin will keep being "digital gold", which would rather be adopted by big institutional investors. The retail businesses will stay away from BTC, due to various factors.
The transaction fees and the Bitcoin price volatility are the biggest problems, that represent a huge obstacle towards mass BTC adoption.
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: WILL BITCOIN CONTINUE TO RISE on: February 15, 2024, 10:55:42 AM
Hello guys, I was just wondering on what could be the true position of bitcoin in the next few months to come, considering the fact that bitcoin recently hit a mid term all time high of $50k,  indeed this was a mile stone and could have been the target of most investors and retail traders ,
so From the look of things from a fundamental and analytical point of view their are diverse possibilities. will bitcoin continue to rise up to the 59200.00 and 64302.83 price level only to break down to the 29637.99 price level to gather momentum or will the upward  trajectory move Continue to take bitcoin to the moon in the near future,  or will bitcoin be trapped in the 59200.01 And 42730.420 price zone 🤔
Whats your take on this matter?

The real bull run is going to happen several months after the halving. The current price pump might be a short term price bubble, which is going to pop in March, April or May. I can't measure the impact of the Bitcoin ETFs over the BTC price, but I guess that the institutional investors will help at forming new FOMO phases in the BTC market. Last month, I thought that the BTC price will drop below 40K USD and right now the price is going above 52K USD. I'm not the best trader and Bitcoin always finds ways to surprise me.
260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: February 15, 2024, 07:36:23 AM
The recent Champions League matches were pretty boring. I wasn't impressed by Real Madrid against Leipzig and Bayern is definitely in a decline. Manchester City won without any problems, but I don't think that they are in their best shape. It would be nice if Lazio wins(or makes a draw) against Bayern in Germany. I really like it when smaller teams eliminate the bigger and wealthier teams from the big tournaments like the Champions league. This proves that football isn't dead and money aren't everything in this sport. And yes, Thomas Tuchel isn't a coach for Bayern. He must be sacked.
