I will be donating 0.1 btc and 500 via in total

Let's get this raffle rolling... I will now refund the entry fee for the winner regardless of any minimum fee, upto 0.1 btc and/or 500 via. Could either be to fund or partially fund the notes, or to a wallet. Winners choice.

I will then donate whatever balance is left after the incentive for the raffle winner to assist via.

Maximum individual crypto coin value that can be put on an ANACS form is $100. Maximum sum of all values if coins submitted is $5000

Really? There is no casascius coin worth less than $600 (unredeemed). I guess the purpose is to limited their liability.

Yeah that's right. They would not be able to insure for full value with shipping.  If you are in the US they regularly go to coin shows and grade on the spot.  Sign up for their newsletter,  and look out for their 'on the road' posts

I seem to remember I did a donation for that, and I did one for my little lad. We should both have credits in there. Great pickup by the way. You don't see these very often

10/27/2017 Update

An nice update from NWTM:

The restrike for the corrected coins was delayed slightly because the mint had to order new silver and make new blanks when we kept the error coins instead of using them for a re-melt. Good news is that the new silver was received, blanks were made and your remakes have all been re-pressed/minted. I’ve seen them personally yesterday and they are correct (first thing I checked). As of now they should be getting gold plated and then enameled. I will keep you informed of more progress when I get it.

Best,

Max-

Ordered and paid at the end of Feb. Some people got theirs mid September. Its now the start of November. I would very much like to understand when I am likely to see mine

Rather than enter I have decided to do something different

If the winner has donated a minimum of 0.1 btc, I will fund their btc note with 0.1 btc

If the winner has donated a minimum of 500 via, I will fund  their via note with 500 via

If the winner has donated both 0.1 btc and 500 via, I will fund both notes

Dig deep. Best of luck

255  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] 1*(BTCC Five Bitcoin, Five Set) or 2*(Five Bitcoin, Two Set), or Block on: November 03, 2017, 05:16:24 PM
I am guessing they are brokering for a customer looking for them ....

I would be interested to know if this is to be shipped into China (given the recent silver coin requirement for collection from China)

**I do not have any of those coins / bars for sale btw **
256  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Is There an UPDATED population report?? on: November 03, 2017, 05:07:35 PM
Do you think ANACS would provide the data for us, say every quarter ? It should be just an easy report from their DB for them .... ?

For us we are building that report up from individual queries - unless some smart sort could use the ANACS references for each coin type we need, and script it ?

Manual seems a lot of effort, for it only to be right for 1 day

EDIT :-

Doing it ourselves would need you to use the public key as the UID. Tie to ANACS ref and grade. (would also show regrades then). Lot of work, never guaranteed to be complete (if those coins do not surface)

Wondering if we could scrape the contents of the ANACS DB, by doing a series of queries against ANACS reference numbers .... Wish they assigned references in any sort of order. Batches are consecutive numbers for each coin, but different batches dont have consistency (ie the next batch isnt guaranteed to have a higher number than the previous)

PS ... I may have done a little regrading of older graded coins (after they shifted the bar)
