241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So Solana is 20x up but Ethereum is dying, yet for years ppl shill Eth why? on: March 27, 2024, 04:04:52 PM

I am an Ethereum fan myself but the fact that Solana has made far more returns in this bull cycle than Ethereum bugs me.
In fact I had a decent amount invested in Solana but since it's blockchain started getting outages I became skeptical about it/
Then in the bear cycle the price of Solana dumped to $8 and I sold all of it. Now I see it near to it's previous high.
Although I lose a huge amount of profits but I still feel the value it brings to the table is not as good as Ethereum.
That's the reason why I am still holding Ethereum although it's providing less returns.

Almost everyone made the same decision then when Solana was below $20 because they had crisis then most notably their link with the FTX collapse saga then and the coin was dumping, it was logical to pull out then. The ecosystem is just getting new attention now because of its low gas fee

Feels good to hear that. Gives a sense of relief that I wasn't the only one. I see that a lot of people are into Solana because of the meme coins.
That may be the reason why its getting new attention. I personally lost interest in Solana when the frequent blockchain outages started coming in.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum Ecosystem is better than Solana Ecosystem on: March 24, 2024, 12:12:30 PM
I'm not saying Sol is bad, but I'm trying to point out the reason we need to hold good coins along while we make money

This is the best thing from your post and probably the best thing to do to make decent gains in the crypto sphere.
We definitely need to aim for the long term but in the process we shouldn't miss out the short term gains.
I have made my investment in the long term but I am missing out the short term gains.
This shows that I need to focus more on the short term gains by investing in these meme coins  Grin
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BlackRock Launches Its First Tokenized Fund on the Ethereum Network on: March 24, 2024, 12:05:48 PM
BlackRock definitely has something in it's mind. First they get involved in crypto space by applying for bitcoin ETF then they apply for ethereum ETF and now the tokenized fund.
I must say, BlackRock is slowly tightening its grip in the crypto community and soon it will try to manipulate it to it's benefits.
Things will become more centralized and that is not good for the crypto community.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So Solana is 20x up but Ethereum is dying, yet for years ppl shill Eth why? on: March 24, 2024, 11:46:56 AM
Solana is doing well but it is foolish to assume that Ethereum is dying. Ethereum is far bigger than Solana and its ecosystem is bigger than Ethereum itself. It is because of its ecosystem that Ethereum will not die. The reason why Solana is not trending in the crypto world is due to the meme coins that are in its ecosystem and the way it is going it might get known only for meme coins.

I am an Ethereum fan myself but the fact that Solana has made far more returns in this bull cycle than Ethereum bugs me.

I don't think that the decision to end the FJ signature campaign and the Freebitcoin campaign suspension is somehow related to the trend on the market. There are other reasons, and we should pay attention to why TheQuin has not been very active on the forum in recent months. I guess there is probably something going on inside Freebitcoin.
The issue is that we don't have access to anyone inside freebitco.in's team to ask for answers... It would be great if there were a veteran member and user of freebitco.in on this forum who had direct access to the owner of the platform, wetsuit, so we could finally understand and take notice of what is going on, that is, why their support don't come in public anymore to talk to their community. Linking it to the fact the signature campaign was paused due to the wallet not being replenished, just increases the suspicions and doubts of users about what the future holds for freebitco.in platform.

I know there are veteran users who access this thread and read the news from times to times. Maybe they could try looking for answers and bringing them here to enlight everyone on this matter.

That's why it's nice to have active team members here on the forum, instead of doubting and wondering if everything is fine, they could explain many things. From some of the comments, it seems like it's time to sell off the FUN tokens we have and pull all the money from the site... while there's still time! Should we really do it, or should we wait a little longer?

I sincerely doubt that freebitcoin has come to an end, but that's always an option... they wouldn't be the first, and probably not the last, crypto site to decide to go out of business.

You can surely sell your FUN tokens and take your satoshis out of the site but what about those users who have locked their tokens.
I have locked them for a year which means I won't be able to take them out any time soon.
But I am not worries since the cumulative amount is not so big but what about those users who hold a large amount on the site.
I hope there is nothing wrong with the freebitco.in site and everything goes back to normal soon.
246  Local / India / Re: KuCoin becomes first FIU compliant global crypto exchange on: March 24, 2024, 06:14:01 AM
This is great news, kucoin exited the market and didn't showed any interest too when questions rised to their team but they can back as the first exchange to comply the regulations. Binance still working? They said it's not possible to do that all of a sudden and they are willing to pay penalty due as well but government were strict and didn't allowed.

Is it so ?  Sad Where did you get that information from ?
I thought Binance would comply with these regulations prior to any other exchange but that turned out to be the opposite.
I find the UI of Binance quite user friendly and I have become used to it now.
If Binance doesn't comply with the regulations then it will lose a huge user base which will migrate to KuCoin now.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can bring positivity and light into people's lives on: March 23, 2024, 11:28:22 AM
3. Boosting Confidence and Skill Development

It's nice to see gambling's positive impact from this perspective. But I am doubtful about the 3rd point.
We cannot say gambling can boost confidence because most of the times we lose money in gambling.
That only lowers our confidence and not boost it. What you think ?

Just one more day until the BTC/ETH price prediction ends. I have placed my bets this time and on both the coins.
The odds are pretty decent this time but the only thin we don't know is in which direction would the price go.
I personally think that the price will bounce bank from here and so I have placed my bets on the bullish side.
Well, unfortunately, I think bitcoin is, as well as the entire crypto market is still in correction mode, personally, I think bitcoin may likly touch down to the price of around $55k to $50k, before it starts going up again, and this does happen, the next stop where I think a major a major correction will happen again is at the price of $100,000 and little above it.

I am believing, actually predicting that the price of bitcoin may likely continue to go down with some minor green from time to time, until the halving takes place next month, we are already rounding up on March as today is 22nd already, it's just a few days from now and we will welcome April, after the halving next, it's expected that we will fully enter the much anticipated bull run, so, right now, for the days remaining, we all have the golden opportunity to grab as many good coins as we can find.
So,

That is definitely one of the possibilities as we can see bitcoin price consolidating right now.
Either the price will keep falling downwards and then bounce back or it will consolidate within the same range and then bounce back.
Let's see how it goes. I am hoping to see the price going upwards in a week or so.
249  Local / India / Re: Another Exchange exits Indian Cryptospace - OKX on: March 23, 2024, 09:49:02 AM
On one hand we are seeing another exchange leaving India but on other hand we are seeing that the global crypto exchange KuCoin has become FIU compliant.
So that is a green signal from the Indian regulatory authorities and now KuCoin which is one of the big exchanges will be supporting Indian crypto ecosystem.
250  Local / India / Re: Crypto to UPI transaction advice on: March 23, 2024, 09:23:03 AM
More over some guys here think I bought over 1k merits  Grin You really think someone would be spending $20k for merits here. I have earned them by my hardwork here

Lol  Grin , another lie. You have just received 13 merits till date and the rest of them were airdropped to your account for free.
Hardwork ? uhmm uhmm. If you would have really put in the hardwork then you would have received the positive trust without asking for it.
Check this out.

251  Local / India / KuCoin becomes first FIU compliant global crypto exchange on: March 23, 2024, 06:58:25 AM
Finally the wait is over and among the global exchanges, KuCoin emerges to take the number 1 spot for becoming the first FIU compliant crypto exchange.
I personally thought it would be binance that would take the number 1 spot but anyway, KuCoin got it first.

What this means for us ?

Now that we have a global crypto exchange which complies with Indian regulatory framework there shouldn't be any issues with getting support from the banks for INR deposits/withdrawals.
We will have the regulatory security and can file legal complaint if there are issues with deposits/withdrawals.

I have personally not used this exchange yet but now that it has become FIU compliant, may be I will give it a try if the need arises.

P.S: The only issue right now is that we are still unable to access the site. Let's see how that rolls over.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If everyone is holding their bitcoin, will there be a balance? on: March 22, 2024, 10:47:20 AM
I have read several posts encouraging people to hold their bitcoin for the greater good of bitcoin and probably more reward in the future. I have also been able to buy some for myself and also holding. But there is this concern that usually pop up in my head anytime I am meditating and that is what will happen if everyone is holding their bitcoin and no one is willing to sell. This can possibly happen in the future when mining reward becomes too small. I know some people will say that miners will continue to mine and sell to sustain their business but when there is reduced selling, will mining still be a profitable business?

If this question appear dumb, please pardon me, I just need clarifications.

miners get the block reward and the sum of the fees of all transactions in the block they've solved... Next to this, ASIC's become more and more performant.
Coupled with the fact there are thousands of miners, there'll probably always be some miners for whom mining is profitable. Granted, the total hashrate might drop (so the difficulty might drop aswell), but having no miners at all doesn't seem plausible.

If there are no miners then I will start mining with my CPU happily (assuming that the hashrate drops so low that it is possible mining using a CPU again).
Even though miners won't get block rewards but they will still be getting the mining fees from all the transactions.
So yes, @everyone please stop mining and let the hashrate drop, so that I can finally use my raspberry Pi to start mining those bitcoins  Tongue

Jokes aside, people will still be selling their coins because at one point people do take profits.
If you don't sell then you don't get your profits and so there will always be people willing to sell and others willing to buy.

254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: March 22, 2024, 10:17:54 AM
Very appropriate advice, as much as possible we should limit the money we will use in gambling with the aim of not experiencing big losses and also being very safe for ourselves. By being able to limit the money we use for gambling, we will feel fine when gambling and it will not cause problems in our lives.
It could be that problems and obstacles when our control is simply lost are caused by the greed factor which really encourages our common sense to do it immediately and triggers inappropriate behavior so that gamblers clearly make a lot of mistakes when playing at the casino.
Greed exists in every individual. it might be easy to say not to be greedy. In practice, for example, let's say you get a jackpot when you bet. did you stop then and there? definitely not, your mind will say try again, who knows, maybe you will get the jackpot again or at least you can get more than just now. that's greedy. It's difficult, but it's the main trigger for losing when gambling.

Ofcourse it is. Greed is the single reason why many gamblers turn into gambling addicts.
But I wouldn't agree with your example because if I were to win a huge jackpot, I would be so thrilled that I would take the money and exit right away.
I would chose to enjoy the money I have won rather than to try to win more money. At least not at the same time.
255  Local / India / Re: Crypto to UPI transaction advice on: March 21, 2024, 04:45:26 PM
I am looking for someone whom I can pay in crypto and he returns the money with UPI to me.

You have been sending me DM to give you a positive trust for a an amount. You even went ahead and asked me to bid a quote and offered me a minimum price of $10. The next thing that I see is this topic which is so much shit as everyone knows how to get crypto to UPI done. You are not someone who is Indian rather you are trying to behave as an Indian. I would create a topic on the reputation board to ban you. Remember deleting the topic you have created won't help you.

I guess he is targeting all Indian users because I received the same ping from him.
Lol, who would event think of giving him any trust that too for money. It's something that should be earned.
There seems to be something very fishy about this guy. Why does he want UPI when he can directly use Binance P2P.
256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Feelings on losing the match and the bet on: March 21, 2024, 04:35:04 PM
Do you feel sad when your favorite team loses a match and the bet (if you had placed a bet on that match)?

because I am part of the fans, feeling sad and disappointed because your favorite team lost is normal. even losing a bet also gives feelings of sadness and disappointment. but that won't make me continue to regret the bet I made.
There is a special pride when you support your favorite team. Even if you lose, you will still appreciate the team's game as a fan. It will be different if you are competing and you are betting on a team that you do not support as a fan.

That is very true. It doesn't hurt very much if we lose a bet where our favorite team is playing a match and loses it.
We appreciate the efforts put in by the team and let go our losses for the match.
But that is not the case if we are randomly betting on any match or any game.
The fact that we lost the bet and the money hurts more in such case.
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake it all put of over confidence in your club on: March 21, 2024, 04:20:57 PM
Have anyone ever had confidence in any match that he was willing to be huge amounts to back up the confidence in a match that features his club. A friend of mine recently shocked me with how much passion and confidence he had in his club, man u vs liverpool  that happened on Sunday I guess was a very hard match cause Liverpool was already stomping 0:2 to man United but my friend was telling that man United won't lose the match, so I told him that if he has much confidence that he should stake life, shocking to me he went on and staked 5k on man United win to qualify which was about 7 odds at that time, and yeah it turned out right for him. Can any one do this or was it a foolish move?

May be your friend was just lucky and won the round. It doesn't always happen like that.
May be your friend knew something about the match that others didn't know.
May be your friend is an expert when it comes to sports betting.
It can be anything but one thing that is firm is that the odds are not in our favor all the time.
258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws? on: March 20, 2024, 04:31:07 PM
legality of online crypto-gambling in countries like the UAE or Saudi Arabia, where traditional gambling is illegal, is a complex issue.
Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws?

There are people who try to find loopholes when it comes to following laws. Many people consider that if there is no law for anything then they are free to do it.
But it depends on a lot of factors in such cases. Talking about Gambling, if your country doesn't have a law for gambling and you are able to access the site freely then I guess you are good to go and gamble.
But if there are restrictions on the site then it means that you are not allowed to gamble on that site and should avoid it even through VPN.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not place to make money is place to lose it? on: March 20, 2024, 04:27:39 PM

Is this true gambling is not place to make money is place to lose it?
It was not TRUE. Gambling is not mentioned that we lose nor do we make money from doing this but it was been advertised to make fun of it. If we gamble thinking we multiply our money, then that is very wrong. Of course, we don't think we gamble for loss but this seems to happen because we rely on luck. We know that this never comes to us always which is why some gamblers claim that gambling is a place to lose but they should also understand first why they gamble if this will happen to them. Honestly, people should not blame how gambling works but rather ask themselves why they spend money on it.

Almost everything has some kind of risks and so does gambling. With gambling, there is a risk of losing money and the risk is high.
The more frequent you gamble, the higher are your chances to risk more money and people fall for it because of greed.
This is the simplest example of why and how people lose money in gambling. We should all take gambling lightly and not consider it as a method to make some money because it isn't.
260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football teams create a kind of community on: March 20, 2024, 04:24:01 PM
Recently I've been reading about the tension and division that football can put amongst people making it look as tho they are part of a different community or even county, like when two famous clubs are playing, and members of the same family or friends would be against each other forgetting other bonds they once had and going all out to support their club or née family they belong to.

The point is why does football create such a tension and division that can even result to fight and dispute sometimes.

I guess it's mostly because of their choices and their likes. Every individual has their own likes.
While some people like Messi, some like Ronaldo and some like Mbappe. This was just an example though.
This is why people within the same family might stand against each other when a match is going on.
