Keep up the good work!

2403  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcointalk.org accounts being sold on ebay on: November 15, 2013, 05:40:23 PM
It think such advertisements only attract people who are going to scam people here. Who else wants to buy and old account with a few posts? If it had many posts, the owner could earn some $ with it by advertising third parties in their signature. But that's not the case now.

Unfortunately the account's owners where so smart to not tell their accountnames. Bitcointalk should otherwise ban their accounts in my opinion.
Incorrect. The person who buys them and uses them for the wrong reasons should be banned.

Doing that you are fighting against symptoms of the problem instead of causes. By banning the buyers, the sellers still have made their profit and that would make this business attractive. But, I think it's easier to ban the buyers indeed, as the moderators probably can see an huge change in IP address.
2404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DGC] DigitalCoin.Co | Instant \ Stable \ Reliable | International on: November 15, 2013, 05:37:15 PM

When do you expect DGC to double given it gets cut in half, along with most other alt coins, everytime Bitcoin makes another move up?

Seriously, unless there's a plan to mitigate this Bitcoin effect then there's no way to stop this freefall and the CryptoAve plan will only give DGC so much support and maybe a temporary bounce.

This Bitcoin pressure is too much to handle and it will drive most alts down to zero unless a plan is put into place.

I personally stopped linking any alt. coins future worth or current exchange value directly with Bitcoin exchange sometime ago.

Whilst the BTC/DGC , BTC/LTC etc. exchange value is obviously very important it is certainly not the be all and end all.

The very fact that DGC held strong, stable and level during the recent BTC price rally clearly demonstrates that all is well with digitalcoin.

If Bitcoin is the kernel, then alt. coin are like distros.

Bitcoin is on its way to becoming a de-(centralized ?) store of wealth and Litecoin is probably heading that way as well in terms of 'gold' vs 'silver'.

Digitalcoin is designed for making fast transactions over being a store of wealth. Sure, I'm guessing that holding a fair number of DGC is probably a very good investment for the future. Its unlikely that DGC will ever have a value above BTC, thats really not the aim here, digitalcoin is about making transactions and being spendable. Digitalcoin therefore should see better price stability and as wider adoption increases the price should also rise against both BTC and fiat currency.

Vlad2Vlad had advocated ixcoin to myself in a thread a few days ago, because of its similarity / differences to Bitcoin (which is fine and I do merge mine a few of those myself). My interest in DGC is not just about seeking big returns, its also about continuing to make better, faster and safer 'money' for the masses. What Bitcoin aimed to offer from the outset and what it still does offer people today.

The digitalcoin community understands this and supports what DGC has the potential to accomplish. Just look back in the thread over the last few weeks - new online web wallets, smart phone apps. and portable USB products are being created by the growing DGC community with active marketing and support, outside of crypto forums. I don't see this actively happening with very many other alt. coins currently in quite the same way.

Lastly, If you want a coin thats similar to Bitcoin and stands a good chance of going somewhere, then with the launch of CryptoAve exchange soon you probably wouldn't go a miss checking out Securecoin.  Grin

I totally agree with you. While many other altcoins crashed already, Digitalcoin is still alive an quite strong. The price isn't fluctuating that much, which sounds positive to me. Many altcoins are dead / will be dead before they reach the age of the DigitalCoin. Digicoin didn't. Other altcoins which are quite strong in my opinion are LTC, FTC and TAG.

I'm also happy to see that there's still a Digitalcoin community alive. It makes me realize that Digitalcoin actually has potential. I like it!

Posts:   40

Just a question. If I do not reach 50 posts before the 17th, will those extra posts (below 50) be taken into account as well into December's post count?
Thanks!

Maybe you should actually read his posts in this topic ^^. Stunna has already questioned this question:  Yes, you can take posts to the next month if you don't reach the 50 posts level. But, be aware that the stated returnings at this moment (in Bitcoin) are going to change. You will receive less Bitcoins for 50 posts in December than you do now. That is because of the rising price of the Bitcoin, and I think it's reasonable that Stunna decided to do that.

Alright guys, how do we bring this coin back from the dead and get it added back to cryptsy?

Would be great, but I don't have much hope in it anymore.. Once a coin has crashed, its image isn't fastly restored.

We'll see.

Yes, for example when you need to promote your own products, like Ford vehicles over import cars. That's surely beneficial for local economy and people.

It's crazy how many resources are spent on importing/exporting stuff in the world, which IMO can and would be avoided. But that's a different conversation.

Yes. I agree with you on that. It also brings the society together in most countries. Im not sure whether that's the point in an huge country such as the USA, but it does in for example the country I live in (The Netherlands). This 'bringing the people together' can has some disadvantages too, especially for outsiders who are placed 'outside the society' by some people.

North Korea could have been a really nice state if America (and USSR) wouldn't fuck it over. In fact it could be an even nicer (North+South united) Korea.

I think it's more realistic that the world will explode than North+South will regroup, hehe.

Why would you lend coins? As you have to pay them back with an extra.. Could you explain your tip? I think it's quite dumb or you want the topicstarter to scam someone..
2412  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Forse koersstijging Bitcoin on: November 14, 2013, 03:44:27 PM

I really hope so Jcoin200. Even $250 is a high price, but I still need to step in into the Bitcoin market / world. But, as the price is way too high for me yet, i'm also waiting for such a crash. I don't think it will ever decrease to less than $100 or $150.

In Bitcoin land, the coin owns you!

(As no other coin interested my so much than the Bitcoin. It keeps me hooked on this forum, and the euro or dollar can't tell me that xD)

Opened support ticket & problem resolved with 99.9 DGC deposit in cryptsy. Thanks for your help guys!

Good to hear that Wink.

Digitalcoin is one of the many supported coins on www.cryptogamekeys.com Smiley

Thanks for sharing! Didn't know that website. Have you have any experience with that website? I see they're accepting quite a lot of e-currencies. The website itself isn't working smoothly here, I was wondering how many DigitalCoins they want for Battlefield 4 but can't add any item to the cart. Im using Internet Explorer, maybe that's the reason for that ^^

Mining BTC isn't profitable for you if you don't have any mining rigs yet. You shouldn't invest in mining equiptment now. You might invest in Bitcoins instead, but I'm not sure whether that's a great option to do as the price is very high at this moment.

Mining alternative currency (as Litecoin, Feathercoin, Digitalcoin, TAGcoin et cetera) might still be profitable, but it will take a while before you reach the amount of dollars / euros you invested.

I think so. Great news Wink.

I have been out of mining for a few days, but I'll join your pool tonight again I guess. Saw the hashrate has increased again Smiley.  As long as the total network hashrate is reasonable, TAGcoin and mining TAGcoin is - in my opinion - one of the best Altcoins at this moment.
