I think the "luck" you need. Allthough we've had more coins that had random block rewards.

When do you want to launch this coin? You should have a couple of working pools at that moment.

I have to pay €308 for the Gigabyte 280X here in the local hardware store, so your prices aren't too bad. Allthough, I think there won't be a warranty right? That warranty might be worth the premium though.

I think some of them will survive, but the most will die.

I think the older altcoins (such as LiteCoin and DigitalCoin) do have a future, together with a bit newer coins such as TagCoin.  The newest altcoins such as DogeCoin (unfortunately) will crash one day, in my opinion.

I agree with Cyberlight: I can't wait untill that exchange has died.  It harms the value of the bitcoin. I don't think it will take long untill it dies anymore.  And then the price of the Bitcoin will increase again.

Als je een abonnement hebt met een verschil tussen dag- en nachttarief, dan betaal je 's nachts inderdaad minder. De prijs per kwh is dan lager. 

Hier wordt daar helaas geen onderscheid in gemaakt en betaal ik ook redelijk de volle mep. Zodra ik ooit ergens een gunstige financiële injectie vandaan haal (zoals het winnen van een leuke prijs met de lotto ), dan leg ik ook graag het dak vol met zonnepanelen.  Ik heb een kameraad werken in die branche en die stellen dat het je tegenwoordig 9 à 10 jaar kost om de investering terug te verdienen (met de huidige energieprijs, en met redelijk optimale omstandigheden; dus de zonnepanelen op de goede kant van het dak geplaatst etc).  Al hangt dit ook af van waar de zonnepanelen vandaan komen; de Chinezen zijn stukken goedkoper.

I did buy since the price is about $600 now (on Bitstamp). If you watch the history of the BTC, it allways increases after it was about the $600 .

I still have faith in BTC. We'll survive for sure, and I expect the $1000 in a few weeks.

Are you scared? Don't watch MtGox, I'm glad when that exchanges dies as it negative affects the BTC price of today. Watch the price of BTC at for example Bitstamp. http://www.bitcoinity.org/markets/bitstamp/USD.

It's about $615.- now. I would love to see it back to the 1000 again. I think it will in a few weeks. This might be a good moment to buy some more BTC (like I did )

Indeed. It's sad to see such low prices on MtGox. I'm glad I haven't used MtGox once, but this affects the price of BTC on all exchanges unfortunately.

I know about the N-factor; but it didn't affect my hashrate the last days, and the difficulty did decrease a bit.

Indeed, I think the price will be higher soon.

However, what caused the drop of the difficulty? It went from 2,6 to 2.0 or something.

Indeed, you can only mine Scrypt algoritm based coins (such as Litecoin, TagCoin, Dogecoin, DigitalCoin) and not Scrypt Jane algoritm based coins (such as MicroCoin, QQcoin and AppleCoin) with the announced devices.
