No here is why

THE FACTS ABOUT DARK COIN

1. released without windows QT so that only dev and pals could mine it.

Quite true, but this would only affect solo miners wouldnt it?
I guess if you were pool mining it would have been OK, or do i take it that there was no pools?

A bit poor though that no windows wallet was released at launch.

Looks like NVIDIA is now king for GPU mining, as far as X11 goes anyway, it will be NVIDIAS turn for business Cheesy
There will be a flood of ATI cards on Ebay.

Interesting to read everyones comments regarding NXT, i think its so under valued ATM.
Megacoin is the only other coin im looking at investing in, especially since in live in New Zealand! Grin
2404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why has vertcoin risen back up? on: May 17, 2014, 12:52:22 AM
From what i was reading, it is the ultimate scam instamine coin, yet i see it has gained ground?
Does this show that even scamcoins have a future? Huh
2405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM Darkcoin instamine 2 millions DRKs (50% of darkcoin in circulation) on: May 16, 2014, 09:51:04 PM
Should i sell all my DRK now while the going is good?
2406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WIll Darkcoin reach $1000 by the end of 2014? on: May 16, 2014, 09:39:54 PM
Darkcoin definitely offers a lot innovation in comparison to most new currencies but that alone isn't enough.

Its allegedly anonymous transactions seem a great selling point but they do not offer solutions to many of the problems of the currency it it ultimately based upon i.e. Bitcoin. Darkcoin is also heavily premined and this is not a good for its image.

$25 is plausible but $1000 is absolutely preposterous.

With that reasoning is it safe to say that investing in currencies such as NXT is not a bad thing?
Im hoping it will pay off in time, but im not expecting a quick return like with what Darkcoin is doing.
I think NXT is a long term investment that will really take off once people get wind of it (or believe in it)

It almost seems too good to be true with darkcoin, but, people possibly have made millions from it already.
Such pump and dumps do alot of damage to crypto currency as a whole.
The other thing (to the developers advantage) is if Him and his friends hold a huge instamine balance, there is no way of tracing their dumps into the exchanges when they cash out.
Of course, we will probably see in the blockchain the large deposits made, but no way to verify who's address they came from.
2407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WIll Darkcoin reach $1000 by the end of 2014? on: May 16, 2014, 11:57:11 AM
Honestly? 1000$ Why?

All those pumps to the price were organised by it's own community... I thought it was quite obvious. Their cheap trick seems to be succeeding though. Some people are stupid.
Well i do have my doubts, but i dont like to be too much of a troll on it, everyone on their community seems to go on about how its going to get to $300 and $1000 very soon! Tongue

yeah they should keep their scam coin to their own thread, i see enough drk spam on the main board already. There is NO larger scam ever pulled on this board than drk.

I hope your correct, because i feel like ive missed out on something big, i only got a small amount.

I just find it odd how such a new coin can spike so high is such a short space of time.

LOTS of buying and selling going on looking at the charts, it could be a zig zag for some time before it stabilises .

I wasted all my time mining mint for a mere 100K mint.
This coin is crap, i should have mined darkcoin instead, ive sold all mine and bought DRK Cheesy

Looks like DRK is on its way back down....
Will be the right time to buy when it settles! Cheesy

I think the sustainable limit for any coin, including DRK, BTC, LTC etc, is the money required daily to buy the production and keep the price steady.

Bitcoin requires ~1.62mn USD per day (3600 coins X 450$)
Litecoin requires ~288k USD per day (28.800 coins X 10$)
DOGE requires ~81.3k USD per day (180.000.000 coins X 0.000452$)
DRK requires ~24-30k USD per day (4000-5000 coins X 6$)

If DRK goes to 10$ (0.023 like LTC) and block rewards falls to 5 due to the new nvidia miner which can bring tons of hashpower, it'll be 10$ x 2880 coins per day =28.8k USD per day - which is still 1/10th of LTC.

From a financial standpoint, we are seeing something new for PoW coins: The rise of Dark is kept relatively stable in terms of daily money requirements because coin supply diminishes to compensate for the increased price and difficulty. At the same time future quantity / max limit is also taken down the sooner we hit min block reward (from 22mn max coins to something like 16-17mn).

Are you saying that Nvidia cards can mine DRK faster than ATI?
That would be interesting.
2414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [COINO] The Coin(O) Community Discussion thread on: May 16, 2014, 05:03:06 AM
Just one question, what makes coinO better and more unique than many of the other altcoins out there?
2415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 16, 2014, 05:00:38 AM
When will masternodes be brought down to 500drk each?  Grin
Yeah i think this is necessary, even 100 DRK would be good.
The problem is that too many of the coins are being bought for masternodes, and in turn is making the coin extremely scarce, driving up its price.
I wouldnt be surprised if there will be 1000 masternodes running before long, thats 1 million DRK!
2416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 15, 2014, 09:41:10 PM
Double top forming.
***Waits for someone to post "my" graph!***** Cheesy
2417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else have a feeling NXT is about to explode? on: May 15, 2014, 09:36:46 PM
What do you think is going to happen with darkcoin?
Im killing myself i didnt mine them earlier and their price ig going up fast!

They are a bit innovative over the rest of first gen cryptos and now people are realizeing about this fact, so the price could go up, could you imagine what will happen once they realize about what nxt can bring?  Roll Eyes
For which I see heavy investors always work with lag lol
I, personally, expect some crash in darkcoin, but they have potential to grow.
PD: I didn't mined them in time too, only have 100 Sad , but when nxt do the same, will overtake bitcoin and everything and darkcoin grow will be despreciable compared to nxt  Cheesy

I hope so, im feeling so depressed about DRK right now.
I only have about 40, but want to buy more when things settle down.
I think megacoin has a big future too.
2418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 15, 2014, 09:35:16 PM
Guy get ready for bull run to 0.02 shortly
It looks like we have hit the "bull trap" lol
2419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoins will hit $1 by the end of 2014? on: May 15, 2014, 09:20:32 PM
MEC already hit $3 once as said before. Dr. Kimoto Chan created Megacoin and the Kimoto Gravity Well, now used by over 200 alts.

Kimoto says something big is going to be released in advance of MEC in the very near future. When this indeed is something big like the KGW, expect MEC to rise hard. So 1$ at the end of the year seems pretty plausible. Maybe even more  Cheesy

MEC is on sale now.. $0.10

Yes i will be buying into megacoin
 looks exciting

Help, just checked the graph this morning!
