Just one question, what makes coinO better and more unique than many of the other altcoins out there?

Just one question, what makes coinO better and more unique than many of the other altcoins out there?

I like it purely for the possibility of it becoming in actual use for Point Of Sale (POS).
It is a bit unrealistic for btc to be usable by a regular retail chain, 9-15 minute confirmations??? Are you going to stand around at the checkout for 9-15mins? (according to blockchain.info it dropped to 5-8 mins 2 months ago)
If you combine btc with a 16 digit account number then sure, it would work - however it is not btc on its own.
Another way btc becomes practical in POS is when everyone uses the same company for wallets - instant verifiability of coins when this is the case (it is how the games work in the community wallet).

Now with Coin(O), it is possible to create a POS system or add on to existing ones because the time to confirmed has been reduced significantly, ~50seconds.
Regular 16 digit account confirmations range from 1sec to up to 30sec or more (especially when using a pin or signature, time to select account, time to enter pin, time to sign etc).

That's what I liked from day -2 (discovered it 2 days before launch, been mining since day 2) when I found out about this coin.
The Coin(O) community is pretty awesome too. There are other coins with fancier marketing and similarities, pretty hard to beat the great community that has developed around this coin though Cheesy

looking at blockchain.info, looks like as the hashrate is increasing the time for confirmation is dropping? guess this makes sense then. or maybe it is because of the block halving reward, i don't know, perhaps

As you can see above, it is what I like.
Coin(O) is not bigger, better, more than any of the other coins - they are all the same, calculations with groups people agreeing they have some value.
The difference is in the make up of those groups of people.

Hi RichardT

I did get it yes. You need to submit those suggestions via email to community [at] coinocoin [dot] com

I will then include them in the entries.

I thought they were quite good by the way :-)

Go! Coino Go!

Here are some interesting stuffs how other coins promote themselves :

Sharecoin :
1. build an exchange (which same as mintcoin and some others)
2. sell fee share to community, you can only buy (changed now) fee share by Sharecoin
3. multipool buy sharecoin
4. lock coins or feeshare @ exchanges to get higher interests

Darkcoin :
1. darksend
2. first x11 coin
3. strong development

Comm :
1. First pure POS coin with free distribution
2. multipool
It isn't that popular due to the in-transparency

Blackcoin :
First coin that push price with multipool
It isn't that popular right now due to they ask money to campaign, people move to other coins.

Naut :
It push their price hard with their stable funds, and it just get on to the exchanges.
Don't know how will it goes when funds run out..

Vtc/Mon :
They merged mining, with current MON price, I think mining on VTC&MON is most profit.

There are some other coins that quite success recently & not on the list.
The reason why I list these is because I think Coino has it's future.

Hope it help coino community. Smiley

I think game platforms should make coino unique.
Although we have only 1 game right now, which is slot machine, you can login to web wallet & play that.
but smcardle said he will continue working on more games.
btw, join irc on ##coinocoin and discuss with us to make coino more unique.
It's a community driven coin.

Has anyone had problems transferring coins over to Poloniex?

I sent some about an hour ago and they still have not showed up there.

Just a question anyway.

The last few weeks Poloniex is very slow. Don't know why, but the transfer should work

Glad to see this is starting to pick up again, I was a supporter since the beginning of the original development team of Coino, but they went MIA so now it's OUR coin!

As time permits, the community continues working towards getting Coin(O) off the ground with better features.

Rest assured that the community devs are keeping an eye on things and ensuring that the wallet is up to date.  If you look on poloniex, you can see that Coin(O) is relatively stable.

I'm having issues depositing in poloniex as well. After 170 confirms as per my wallet I still don't see the balance show up on poloniex. Anyone else having the same issues? With other coins I'll see it pending and the number of confirms left.

Hi Gangyi,

I just sent 400 coinos to poloniex, it's taking some time to be processed. However I sent some coinos to a secondary coino account and it worked just fine (~7 minutes).  I think this has to do more with Poloniex than with the coin itself.
