Consensus is organised by Coindesk, the speaker panels are also moderated by Coindesk.
Coindesk is not exactly pro-Dash and seems to focus more on startups, industry newcomers, ICO's and Bitcoin itself.

There are also not that many older altcoin cryptocurrencies represented in the form of a speaker,
Ethereum is boycotting this conference due to high cost per ticket and Coindesk accidentally promoting a scam project
(Coindesk used a wrong link in one of their articles) and other older altcoin cryptocurrencies are absent as speaker as well.

Hopefully with just the Dash booth over there enough important connections can be made and valueable networking can be done for Dash.  

Edit 1 : this is just my personal opinion, there could be far more logical and/or financial reasons behind it.
Edit 2 : i just came across a datasheet that contains those altcoin projects that are scheduled to speak, there are more altcoin speakers either in panels or through presentation than i anticipated.

The biggest advance will be implemented when Dash introduce Dash Evolution later this year, it is a major update that will bring Dash
massive on-chain scalability, userfriendly wallets for both users and merchants and it adds another layer to Dash current two-tier model.
It will introduce a decentralized api that will enable merchants to easily adopt Dash in their payment options and it allows the storage
of encrypted customer data on Dashdrive.

Eventhough Dash current roadmap is outdated and in the process of getting a major revision, it does provide some technical information on

Its considered "safe" as a respectable Dash community member & Dash core member are running these services for some time now, without any issue.
It is however not a trustless solution, meaning you will have to place some level of trust into it.

Yonton is talking about the April 2018 bounce and is stating that Dash is the most under performing cryptocurrency in the top 15, that is simply not true.
We can also look at the 5 months charts or the 12 months charts for the top 15 cryptocurrencies,  each will provide a totally different picture .. but that is not at issue here.

As you can see Monero, Bitcoin and Litecoin are currently the actual underperformers here.

Maybe you don't know the Dash advertising very well.
Also Dash downtrend is pretty consistent with Bitcoin's downtrend. Most altcoins (including some if not most in the top 15) are in the same downtrend.

I do start to wonder if you picked the right cryptocurrency to invest in, you seem to be lacking patience which is a key factor when playing the long game / investing long-term.

I'm not even sure Dash should be included as it has as default open blockchain just like Bitcoin, it just offers optional privacy to those users
that want to have privacy on their transactions.

I suspect most of the transactions through the Dash network are fully traceable transactions and are not mixed with other transactions to provide privacy.
Dash is focussing on becoming a decentralized platform to run decentralized apps / services on, its no longer just a privacy-focussed cryptocurrency unlike Monero and Zcash.
This does not mean Dash will abandon its privacy option to users, it just means it is offering a lot more then just privacy these days.

By the way, using the word ZERO can be easily seen as an attempt to spread fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD).  

To conclude : There will always be a battle between users seeking privacy and governments seeking control

Coinmarketcap does not list Poloniex with a ETH/DASH pair, it does list the following exchanges : https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dash/#markets



Binance seems the most reliable and has more Dash traded volume, but i guess Bittrex is okay too
(i have heard nothing bad about Bittrex)

When Bitcoin takes a price dive in the amount of $300 or more, then pretty much all altcoins take a dive with it. Also the second most traded Dash volume takes place on Huobi through Dash/USDT (tether), most likely to hedge against Bitcoin's current volatility.  
Dash should correct once Bitcoin concludes this downward correction (as will most altcoins).
