2421  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank of Russia to Pilot CBDC in April on: February 19, 2023, 11:16:59 PM
I am really skeptical if they would make any sensible pilot program working.
But even if they would get it working i wonder if anyone would want to touch it as any proper CBDC needs KYC:ing and most likely people from "unfriendly" countries and members of opposition, people with wrong opinions about Kremilin would instantly get their CBDC rubles frozen and confiscated.
2422  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎉BetFury Affiliate Program is live| 💸Earn with RevShare up to 60% on: February 19, 2023, 10:09:42 PM
Absolutely correct mate, BFG is one of the casino tokens with lots of potentials, for me personally, I think the closest contender to BFG was Owl token, but with some moves Owl.games have made, I personally think they've fallen out from the competition,
It isn't even matter of opinion as BFG has (fully diluted) market cap of $87M and owl $4,2M trading with way more pairs in way more exchanges.

BFG have been doing well in the market, it has kept a nice record of trading volume though not in millions yet, but i believe that as they continue to market the casino and possibly list the token on more popular exchanges, the project will get noticed by more notable investors and possibly could become a major token amongst day traders.
I really don't think exchanges are the solution. They might bring some exposure and free advertisement but listing also costs and at this time i don't think that Betfury pouring tons of free tokens for dumping is a best course of action. Let's first focus on the plan and see how deflationary this is going to be in the future.
2423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's Legacy. Nour Protocol on: February 19, 2023, 05:12:39 PM
You all know that in 2009, only one, seemingly meaningless word, was posted from Satoshi's account: "nour".
All the media rushed to report that his account had been hacked.
I ask all of you: "do you really think that the email account of the greatest of cryptography that ever existed can be hacked so simply?" Do you really believe it or did someone have some doubts?
That was in November 29, 2018, not in 2009.

Why do you think the hack happenede so "simply?"

As the account didn't write anything else after that the reason could be anything from a drunken brain fart of satoshi to a hacker that wanted to test if he could do it and proved himself to someone with a simple codeword. And yes his accounts could be hacked. Cyber security experts get hacked too.

And if this a weak attempt to tell us that he wanted to shill us your "Nour Protocol" that happens now 5 year later after the post then just please stop. (i am referring to your reserved post and i am assuming something is coming)
2424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: reasons why someone wants to pay in tether and not bitcoin? on: February 19, 2023, 04:55:03 PM
What could be the reason for someone wanting to pay in Tether and not bitcoin?
my understanding is that using bitcoin, you will not have to worry about your crypto being frozen.
Could there be any reason for tether being advantageous in such transaction?
Among the many reasons starting from volatility of btc, your usdt is not getting frozen for no reason. And if you are involved in some big heist or something, it's likely that your bitcoin addresses are flag and your CEX fiat ramp will froze your account when you eventually try to cash out. Even washing that money is soon difficult because of fatf rules.

I totally understand that someone is paying with btc or gets paid with btc out of principle. But i being afraid that government seizes your pocket money seems paranoid and give way too much credit for any governments capacity to focus on something like that.
2425  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitnity.com - a community-driven gambling platform on: February 19, 2023, 02:18:33 PM
From what I have understand, they are going to choose 10 people randomly and the 10k $BTNTY tokens will be divided equally, so each person will receive 1k tokens on their account that is equivalent to $5  Tongue
Not 10k $BTNTY, that would be $100k $BTNTY divided with 10 so that might be worth the gas price. Bit i don't think there will be much staking going on yet. So far 0.62% of the tokens are staked.

But i have a mixed feelings about this as they haven't answered yet.
Their telegram announcement channel that has 3k subscribers, twitter has 6,790 Followers but can see from the explorer that they have under 100 token holders. I don't find that comforting. I know that trying to make new casino to combat big ones or even fit in could be nearly impossible job but i feel like buing used twitter account with more followers for marketing isn't a way to go.
2426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of Delisted Alts from KuCoin!!! on: February 18, 2023, 11:28:58 PM
So all pairs from them are delisted? Usually cexes delist pairs that don't have enough volume so they don't need to waste market makers / liquidity on them.
But then again it wouldn't surprise me if kucoin delisted 70% of their tokens. They have a reputation of listing absolutely every shit token out there.
2427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Core vs Ethereum on: February 18, 2023, 10:43:36 PM
Before the recent lunch of core it was speculated that its value would be half of that of Bitcoin which is potentially greater than Ethereum although cores value after lunch was very low compared to their speculation some mining sources say that its value will be greater than that of Ethereum of Which is not promising with the present market cap

I strongly believe that core was not much of a success because their mining duration was too long therefore causing excess supply of the coin during the mining period.
Lol, what an earth even is core? Why in the million years you would believe that some never heard altcoin would touch even the top 10 marketcap? What was so spectacular in it that made the influencers speculate that it would be so high? Wait, don't tell me. They got big bags of it by promoting it? That's really not the question because i am 99% sure that happened. Because that has happened so many times it's insane how people aren't aware of this scam.

Even if they would manipulate the marketcap high which is super easy to do, it wouldn't be worth anything without liquidity and active users Tongue. That's why places like coinmarketcap wouldn't list it.

I am Crypto Guru as well! Smiley With 14 accurate answers...

Nice and interesting promotion. I like quizzes, and this one is interesting... some basic questions about crypto in general. Well, I joined and shared my results on Twitter, now just to have a little luck and be in 10 random winners.
Me too, 14. I didn't even google anything as i trust myself in general crypto trivia but i can't help wondering what answer i got wrong.
I am really doubtful i wold win this as i never win anything but why after all why not. $100 dollars in bfg would be nice. I would gamble free from time to time.

Good luck!
2429  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitnity.com - a community-driven gambling platform on: February 18, 2023, 09:36:43 AM
Thank you for everyone who is participating in the beta testing. We have fixed almost all the bugs reported and further testing is happening by a big group of people as I write.

As we are getting closer to launch, we have just published a promotion on Twitter that you can find here:

https://twitter.com/bitnity/status/1626647133108719617
In your twitter it says that you are airdropiing 10 x 10,000 $BTNTY tokens. So are you choosing 10 users randomly to drop those or is it 10 different airdrops?
And if it is 10 different airdrops, are you giving distributing them evenly or proportionally between the participants depending how much are they staking?

Also, thanks for fixing all the issues i had problems with.
2430  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitnity.com - a community-driven gambling platform on: February 17, 2023, 01:48:01 PM
I think I have found the fix for this problem.

From what I have experienced, I think Bitnity allows their players to choose their own "client seed" before you are able to make bets. Because as far as I remember the 3 variables that are needed are server seed, client seed and nonce to generate the result. After that, I was able to bet after tinkering with the function.

However, with this, I noticed the website does not show the unhashed server seed of the previous bet making me unable to verify the result to a third party online tool for converting into sha256.

Plus, the spelling is incorrect, it should be "nonce" not "nounce".
I am starting to feel my small high risk investment on Bitnity wasn't worth the small risk. Yes, dividing the bet button works now but if placing a bet can be only done by mcgyvering it, it doesn't really give me a feeling that they are focusing on the main issues.

I understand that this is a demo mode, but if the main thing that this site is supposed to do doesn't work by now i wonder what other issues they are busy with.
2431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CBDC and Regulation discussion on: February 17, 2023, 01:39:26 PM
CBDCs will "kill" stablecoins, especially when both serve exactly the same purpose.
-cut-
I don't see CBDC killing stable coins unless they they would be adopted on chains that allow DEXes etc and we need stable coins for that exact reason..

And DBDC is most likely not being adopted on any chain that's currently available as they are not capable for L1 confidentiality with auditability, Build in KYC etc.
2432  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evil universities promoted the Michigan State University shooting on: February 17, 2023, 11:26:26 AM
o48o Since universities promote violence against me, I will not have any sympathy when they have mass shootings. I will instead call them out for their hypocrisy whenever there is a mass shooting because they have promoted violence against me. I will shame them because they are Nazis. You are also a Nazi who is promoting violence against me because you are evil and you **** ****** ** **** ** **** *** ****. You just want to take Hitler's DNA and make it illegal for anyone to have a child other than a clone of Adolf Hitler. And yes, that means that you want a world that is 0% woomies and 100% Hitler clones. You even want to make it illegal for anyone to own a dog other than a clone of Hitler's dog Blondi. And I have been teaching for a few years after the incident with the threats, and I quit on my own, so I am capable of teaching just fine. The problem is when academic institutions refuse to acknowledge that there is a problem. Stop ****** ******. It is not good.
Dude... (and yes i am presuming you are a man). I am now ignoring your incoherent ramblings and obsession about Adolf and let's focus on your problem:

You have said the phrase "Universities are promoting violence against me" over and over.
Do you know how weird that sounds without any context? That doesn't mean anything to anyone else but you.

As you haven't even explained what that means. Do you think we can read minds? If so, i can try to interpret what i think you meant by that.

Maybe your students might have reported your odd behavior and security has escorted you out in cuffs, which you turned to "promoting violence against you".
Could be that you are hearing voices or someone stole your breakfast.
Am i getting close? Maybe you have a sane answer. Only you can explain yourself.
2433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad feeling like a bomb is gonna go off on: February 17, 2023, 11:15:43 AM
Yes, they went below the 1 dollar pegged and it's really scary to think that it might cause a huge collapse on those stablecoins. USDC is still below at 0.99 as of this writing, so it's not yet recovered,  but in any case though, I think there is a relieved in the last couple of hours, there is a huge jump on bitcoin reaching $25k although it didn't maintain that price.

So hopefully we can go and see that this stable coins are going back to it's pegged or at least their will be no withdrawal runs.
I wonder where are you guys getting your numbers from.

According to coinmarketcap USDC has only once gone under $0.99 and that was 18.3.2020.

I guess some exchanges do have spikes if they don't have enough instant liquidity but Kraken (which has main trading volume for usdc hasn't got under 0.99 with usdt ur usd pair for ages.
So where it's under 0.99 and can you share the screenshot?

If making NFT art, make it from your own head Wink
Quote
The jury awarded Hermes $133,000 (£110,000) in damages, rejecting Mr Rothschild's argument that his products, which he began selling in 2021, were works of art commenting on the market for luxury goods and should be protected by laws governing free speech.

A lawyer representing Mr Rothschild said it was a "terrible day for artists and the First Amendment".
Well this is just insanely stupid lawyer then. This isn't a NFT or Free speech issue, it's a copyright issue.
If i sell t-shirts or use anyone's brand for making money with digital projects it's a copyright issue and i need a permit to do that. It doesn't mean anything if i say that this is just commenting the brand. That's not free speech, it's freaking piracy.

There's a reason why Rockstar won't use real brands in GTA or fictional tv shows rarely if ever use real products or why porn films blur any brands from the video.
There are exceptions but it's case by case issue and not everything is considered trade mark infringement, but this is so clearly it.

Anyone who has read your texts can see clearly why you got kicked out from your job. So far you have associated most people here with Adolf Hitler and you just said you have no symphathy for gun violence victims. You know, like a sane person would talk.

A bit surprised to see that with only making an NFT market with a different UI could make a big hype like that.
-cut-
Right now it was purely because of the airdrop and for a short time it was making people rich. I am guessing that this thread is part of marketing.
https://stockhead.com.au/cryptocurrency/top-claimants-of-blur-nft-airdrop-rake-in-millions-of-dollars-worth-of-tokens-is-it-too-late-to-participate/1

Blur has been surpassing opensea's in term of volume.
Most likely people were buying and selling nfts back and worth because they were preparing for the airdrop.

Only few countries Will develope CBDC -s like ukraine and russia and some latin america countries CBDC-s are for emerging Market countries mainly.
The Western countries Will relie on more USDT standard and bitcoin standard.

Get ready for many banks are Also not needed anymore many Banks Will disapeare overnight.
Many Banks just not needed anymore in this new btc digital world the biggest public btc success deniers are those who secretly buying up all the btc and crypto

Nothing on your text seems to make any sense. What does Google cloud and Bitcoin have to do with each other?

Why would banks disappear overnight? That could collapse whole countries. Why haven't they disappeared already?

Everything you wrote was nonsensical.
2438  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitnity.com - a community-driven gambling platform on: February 16, 2023, 01:13:02 PM
If this token represents the bankroll and the casino has not yet been launched, then shouldn't its liquidity and its value be somewhat stagnant and relative to what the investors purchased the token for?
Token doesn't represent the bankroll.

And i don't know the sale price that people bought this token originally, it seems to happened in pancakeswap before the swap or something like that, but that's all i found out. If you know it, please share it and don't just hint about it.

But there are numerous cases where price immediately drops after the sale. There could be several reasons from bounty hunters dumping them, other freebies dumped in market to plain boredom and buyers not being interested.
2439  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitnity.com - a community-driven gambling platform on: February 16, 2023, 12:41:16 PM
If the token represents the bankroll, does this mean that Bitnity has lost over 70% of its bankroll to players in the past year? The price has gone from an all-time high of $0.04 to fluctuating between $0.006-$0.008. If Bitnity is actually profiting, then why is the token de-valuing?

Casino isn't live yet. The gambling happening on the site happens with play tokens (PTKN), not with BTNTY, So the token value isn't based on dividends but mainly speculating if there will be dividends worth holding it. Devaluation with placeholder tokens happens when people aren't hyped enough.

And they told us that casino goes live in 1st March 2023

The truth is, staking is a vital piece in the puzzle of the future of the crypto world. The rewards of staking, such as increased security, decentralization, and profitability, make it an important tool for building a better, more secure, inclusive, and profitable crypto ecosystem. But overregulation threatens to disrupt all of that.

Stiffing the Staker: The SEC's Latest Crackdown on Crypto Innovation
The article also seems to think that this is a move against staking as in PoS but it's not. It's against CEXes paying interest for their users locking their tokens. Because that's an actual investment. That has nothing to do with the innovation that's Proof of Stake.

-cut-
Though SEC is performing their devil part here, we should not be afraid of their actions. They can only thrive their rules when we are in the centralized market. They can not enter their jurisdiction into the decentralized market.
Technically not, but FATF is a whole different beast. It doesn't matter if you are not dealing with fiat money in dexes, because eventually you will cash out and that's where they get in. But if you haven't done anything illegal and kept a log of your finances, you are not in trouble.
