1501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Promising Crypto Coins Expected to Make It to the Top 100 on CoinMarketCap on: June 11, 2023, 12:12:38 PM

It's now SUI is number one dropping in 7d% time frame by whopping -34.58% so hopefully you didn't go all in yet. And frankly i see everything dropping again soon after markets get stabilized. This was just first leg.

Also i don't understand what op is basing his ideas. Like highly centralized Bitxgold seems like a paid advertisement. Some of those might make it, but i am guessing it's because OP got lucky with one of them. Those predictions doesn't make any sense to me.
sui even though it already down so much, is still good return for early investors, for those that are already investing after the presale says otherwise.
this is why i would never ever invest in something that's so cheap in presale and raising its value really high after listing, because these kind of coin always leans more towards losing its value overtime, not giving chance newer investors to have profits.
It's frankly mind blowing to me that we seem to be again in the phase where it's possible again get 10x immediately by participating into presale. And we are in the bear market. This means that there will be ton of new idos etc to try to ride this wave and new investors are lining up for profits. We have seen this cycle so many times that it's just funny to watch it unfold again. There seems to be a section of people now investing to new tokens just because they are new, no matter if they come right out of sale with 10x returns.

I am now watching the SUI, but my expectations have not yet been met, the new projects that come out on their blockchain are frankly weak and there are already a lot of scams and new interesting projects yet to be seen. I'm waiting for one, but I'm not sure about it anymore against the background of what is happening now.

1503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC lawsuit caused massive market crash on: June 10, 2023, 11:28:51 PM
The latest SEC lawsuit against Binance has caused a massive market crash, with BNB suffering the most, going as low as $233, the lowest it has ever been in 2023. Bitcoin has also suffered great losses, but it's not as bad as BNB, which hasn't stopped falling since the incident started and got progressively worse for altcoins when the SEC labeled 46 of them as securities to be avoided at all costs. Some of which include BNB, XRP, BUSD, MANA, and plenty of others. Personally, I believe that the condition is starting to become worrying, especially if Binance loses and there's no settlement, which would also have disastrous consequences for the market in general.

The most worrying of all is BNB, which is in freefall and its future might be doomed if no solution is found. What's your take on this? Do you think that a solution will be found to avoid any further losses, or are governments on their way of winning the war against cryptocurrencies?
Why is BNB most worrying? Imho it always was problematic. This is just those problems manifesting themselves.

Everyone knew that it's going to be centralized. Even if it has smart contracts it's still an exchange coin and totally dependable about Binance. Reason why it rises was because everyone thought Binance was untouchable. And for a long time it seemed to be so. They have done so much for some many people, giving charities and most likely lobbying a lot in everywhere in the world.

Still everyone knew deep down that BNB is going to be be paired with well being of Binance. This is what "fudders" were afraid of, and now when it's unrevealing in front of everyone, people will soon realize that if binance loses, the bottom of bnb is going to be zero. And that would make this crypto winter last for ages.
1504  Other / Off-topic / Re: YOUTUBE VS TIKTOK on: June 10, 2023, 11:11:11 PM
I'm glad I never installed Tiktok. CCP spying aside, I think most of it is kinda dumb, mostly just kids trying to do "challenges" and claim their 3 minutes of fame. Youtube does have silly creators as well but as long you keep away from those, there are plenty of interesting channels to follow. On top of my head is Tasting History, Townsends, City Beautiful, etc...
I totally understand the addiction for relatively short videos that go directly to the main point and are entertaining at the same time. It's not all dances and challenges, there is ton of good and fun content.
But at the same time it's totally spyware and China is not even denying it. Because they don't need to, it's not like people care or are against it so much they would leave.

So yeah, i have installed it into my other phone i am using to test stuff to see what's the fuss is about and i get it. But not in the million years i would install it in my actual phone.

Also youtube has way more diversity in content and ton of professionally created material.
1505  Other / Politics & Society / Re: marriage is everybody problems! on: June 10, 2023, 10:42:56 PM
Let's recap on what is marriage based on a definition given by a oxford dictionary
"the legal relationship between a husband and wife."

and the definition of business in a oxford dictionary
"the activity of making, buying, selling or supplying goods or services for money."

both marriage and business has totally ZERO similiarity in this context. However to save the business or marriage, it is not easy, I'm talking about saving a collapsing multi billions dollars worth of business, it is not a one person problem anymore, who is capable to fix a billions dollar problem alone? Is it even possible?
This just made it even more unclear if possible. I really don't have any clue what you are on about. If they have zero similarity, why are you even using business as example? There's no one way to save marriage. There are as many different situations that lead to divorce there are couples that are married. Why would it need to have anything to do with money or "bailing out"? And what do you mean eit's verybody else's problem? It's only problem for a couple that are deciding if they want to divorce or not.

1506  Economy / Gambling / Re: Profit By Betting on Losing Teams on: June 10, 2023, 05:39:16 PM
I am the only one who believes this is likely some sort of advertisement campaign to some "services" which offers something which is unlikely to happen?  Roll Eyes
Honestly, sometimes it messes with my mind that there is people out there who can actually fall for stuff similar to these and other I have read in the past.

I'll say it clearly: Any person/organization who can get guaranteed profits constantly would not have a reason to promote themselves and ask for other's people money to spoil their own secret

Of course, there are some legitimate tipsters but we should be careful where we put out hard earned money on, for Satoshi's sake.  Tongue
But in this case, was the op even promoting any service? Because i totally missed that. He was just telling about this tactic and seems like OP wanted traffic to a site trough a betting guide article OP wrote.

You can all think what you want about the tactic but op wasn't asking any money for it but published it for free use. It's wasn't a subscribe model or that you would get more by paying.

And tactic wasn't anything special really, just OP's take on it.
1507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: June 10, 2023, 10:16:41 AM
As a business owner, the casino will not let the gamblers win easily even though later the gamblers will use AI, which can provide greater opportunities to win. Kasion will also use AI to prevent gamblers from winning easily because if the casino doesn't update its system, the casino will lose a lot and will not be able to continue its business. So with AI, it doesn't stop casinos from finding innovations that can prevent them from winning to protect their business. And it seems that the development of the gambling business will be more advanced in the future.
Using AI on poker isn't really even new idea, as you have been able to do this with programs already. Ai is just an overkill calculator for counting odds. Because if we go with basics i don't think it's so hard to count your changes. Pros can do that in their head. And it's really hard for me to believe that AI could pick all the nuances pro players can as most of that isn't even happening in concious level.

Maybe it can and it's all about the level of prompts you give to it. But even then, it's not like casino would lose much for poker players having an edge when they are playing against each other anyway. Casino gets tournament participation fees no matter what.
1508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you invest in a project that might take years to outshine the market?? on: June 10, 2023, 10:08:48 AM
I found out in the blockchain world, many people are losing patience when they start to invest in a project. Their understanding about "long term" is no longer years but weeks.

Some project need time to build and shape. What do you think?
Oh boy did i invest to one of those. Waiting over 5 years for mainnet with at the same time, team has total tranparency, constant development, talented devs and original idea. My faith is stuggling sometimes.
But when the product is something never done before, it's so cutting edge that absolutely nothing can go wrong, especially when it's planned to slowly launch for multi trillion dollars industry. I just have to accept that no one can see the unseen hurdles of the future, and it's really hard to set any deadlines.

At least they have been trying to be regulatory compliant from the start so it won't crash right there.
1509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEP20 OR ERC20? Preferred token on: June 09, 2023, 10:30:38 PM
Actually both network are good and very stronger but if we compare with transaction fees about coin transfer than Bep-20 is better than Erc-20 because ERC-20 need transfer fees so high and when we use Bep-20 Networks for transfer our token/coins than Bep-20 Fees very cheap / low. So my best options is Bep-20 selected network is always BETTER and faster transaction also very faster Bep-20.
Except bep20 is famous for all the scammers issuing their trash tokens with their trash idos and no one takes bep20 tokens seriously. And you could just use L2 like arbitrum for the fees until eth scales to more user friendly prices. And faster and cheaper is not always better. Decentralization level of BSC is questionable at best. Also ecosystem in ERC20 is better and more mature and attracts way more developers. So my bet is that big adoption will happen with ETH, not with BNB.
1510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do meme coins have a future? on: June 09, 2023, 06:30:43 PM
I'm new in the crypto space and understanding different crypto projects. While the majority of cryptocurrencies I have studied about have some kind of a solution to the existing problem in Web 3.0, DeFi, etc. Recently, I studied Polygon MATIC, which is solving the problem of high gas fees on the Ethereum-based apps.

In the past few days, PEPE, a new meme coin, has gained massive attention in the community. But I actually didn't understand what could be its major objective. Is there any reason to say this meme coin will work for the betterment of the entire crypto and Web3 realm?

There is another new meme coin called SNEK, based on Cardano. What impact these meme coins will create in the crypto space?

I don't understand why meme coins such as Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and Pepe are so famous and why do people invest in them, wondering about the future of meme coins.
Meme coins have a future in a sense that there will be always meme coins/tokens.

But one memecoin having a long term future is whole another thing. Most of them die, just like most tokens in overall die and most nfts, even most exchanges. And new will come to replace them,
There are only so many community members that when markets get saturated with too many new coins there just are not enough community members for everyone of them
When meme coins will prevail but it's really hard to say which ones they will be.

When it comes to meme coins they don't even depend on devs. Doge has zero development. Just a community of miners and holders.
1511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin's comeback on: June 09, 2023, 06:01:24 PM
After all Altcoins were troubled recently, Litecoin is gaining more confidence again.

But can Litecoin outperform Bitcoin or is Litecoin dead in your opinion?
Well technically it's not dead, it still gets developed and works like a test platform for bitcoin upgrades. But frankly only fundamental reason i see for price growth would be that halving. It's just not exciting enough or cutting edge enough for majority to jump in. Obviously there will be influencers shilling it again after it rises as they need to get rid of their bags and people will believe that hype again, only to realize later that they were part of sucker cycle and new bag holders trying to dca their way to surface.
1512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Im coutious about xrp warning on: June 09, 2023, 04:10:53 PM
Im caotious about xrp ,why ?
Becouse i make my financial decisions based what the big guys and whales do it.
What i see ? It doesnt apply for the benchmark legimate rules to be trusted enough.
I see xrp not favoured by them it's secret but If you can read the info and you know rules also of SEC then you get the idea.
Instead of XRP i'll choose XLM stellar.
To be honest i don't put any money on xrp it's one of the coins from what i stay out XRP does not seems to me legit project.
I just don't like to take unneccesary risks.

So no matter how much FOMO and hype xrp has...Im out of this project.
I don't think you are following big guys and whales. You are following *some* selected big guys and whales. Because there are whales backing XRP as well. You can literally see that on their block explorer and trough activity. I don't think many of them are actively shilling it though. There used to be whale influencers in twitter talking about it but people are smarter now as no one with any knowledge about legal issues doesn't really wants to get sued or jailed for shillng.
1513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There A Time That You Calculated All Your loses In One Year on: June 09, 2023, 03:48:50 PM
Is There A Time That You Calculated All Your loses In One Year One Online and Offline

This is the most depressing thing to do, you'll be surprised at the amount,  I did this 4 years ago on offline number betting and Lottery I kept all the tickets I sometimes win 3rd and 4th prizes but every time I won consolation I increase my tickets I consider this a sign that I will hit the jackpot soon but unfortunately it never happens.

When I count all my losses on numbers and the lottery it's enough to buy a small parcel of a lot and build a bungalow type and we're just renting a room back then.

Again I did it 3 years ago when I become active in online casinos and the amount is also depressing I could have bought a tricycle that I can use for a living.

So I stopped counting my losses and just minimize my betting I just tried to be happy on the thought that I have good times betting and I enjoy the thrill.
Sure i have, with trading and gambling. It can be depressing, but also eye opening as that money and small bets adds up. Good thing about this is it usually forces you to make plans and a budget.
And next time you'll do it you might even pleasantly surprised that your expenses have been managed. That is if you are on loss. If you are winning, you'll be pleasantly surprised anyway.

I totally understand the impulse of stop counting totally, but to me it's like pretending everything is going to be different without making any changes.
1514  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is hodling top 10 Marketcap coins a good tactic? on: June 09, 2023, 03:42:39 PM
Of course holding top 10 rankings is the safest thing than holding at a lower level, but in my opinion the best thing to get big profits is to dare to invest in new projects, holding top 10 is safe and profitable but it takes a long time to be profitable, while new projects are more easy to profit 10x even 100x within a year.
That depends if the new project start from over valuated marketcap or not. i've seem many projects only coming down from their starting valuation like ICP . People somehow keep investing to projects that have too high cap from the start. They are never going to learn.

The second anybody mentions investing & hodling in the top 10 coins , what comes to mind is playing it safe!
If you looking for less risky and less volatile coins this is the right place to look, but if you want higher rewards with a touch of risk...then you need to look beyond the top ranked coins, probably go even beyond top 100 coins to catch the perfect storm!!
Btw history has shown that over the years, months or week coins with the best positives(Return on Income ) usually come from the little known coins as these have low liquidity, cheaper to buy and whales will be out to buy such as they will have much control of how these small coins behave.
Playing safe has a whole new meaning in crypto. Anyone who comes from tradtional markets doesn't see any of this as "safe". Maybe after another 10 years people will see this field as fairly normal and mature coins as "safe", or we are living the last golden days of crypto and this will be all over somehow.

1515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what happened to the market today? on: June 09, 2023, 03:40:25 PM
According to Ben Armstrong on Twitter, Binance decided to give a fitting rebuff to the actions of the SEC:
"I spoke to a Binance attorney and they are earmarking $1B to fight the SEC. They could basically hire every major law firm at once to fight for them. Just imagine @ripple has wiped the floor with them with only $150M" - https://twitter.com/bitboy_crypto/status/1666968425229369344
Those are going to be some high paid lawyers. But it's good to know Binance (or CZ) is taking this threat seriously. Underestimating SEC would be worst thing they could do right now. And many of the cases against them that they are going to win (and they are going to win at least some), can be used by coinbase as precedent for their defence.
1516  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: June 09, 2023, 03:24:14 PM
The price of fun token is largely controlled by the price of bitcoin, if you have followed the price of fun token for some time now, you will realize that when ever bitcoin goes up In price, the dollar price of fun token also goes up, and when the price of bitcoin comes down, the dollar price of fun token also comes down, I guess this is because fun token is majorly trading against bitcoin in the exchanges where its listed.

And the current price of fun token is no surprise considering that the price of bitcoin has been majorly down lately due to the current happenings in the crypto scene, let's hope that as the price of bitcoin recovers back to its previous levels of $28k, $29k and $30k, fun token will also find its way back to its previous price range of $0.005 to $0.007 or even higher.
Well it reacts to it but not very positively lately. Bounce in 2021 was insane and even the recovery pump, but after that price has pretty much died. I am not saying it wouldn't recover explosively when bitcoin finally moons but before that it needs to discover the bottom, It might even go ATL for all i know so i am not touching it yet.

1517  Economy / Speculation / Re: SEC Lawsuit Against Binance Is Likely To Hit Bitcoin Price on: June 09, 2023, 03:04:52 PM
Securities and Exchange Commission, popularly known as SEC, recently filled a lawsuit against Binance for violating federal securities laws. This made Bitcoin price declined by almost 5%, one hour after the allegation was filled as at june 5th.
As at this morning, while checking Bitcoin chart, it is currently $25.7K. The funniest part is that lots of Crypto and Non-Crypto experts had all made predictions of a pump in price.
SEC can't just stopping firing at all exchange companies they suspect fishy activities. Don't forget that Coinbase and Coinme are also victims, and there court case is still active.
Do you think SEC's lawsuit case will create more damage to the BTC price ?
Is it possible for all crypto exchange companies in the US to avoid SEC's trouble ?.
You can check further stories via New York Times -https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/05/business/sec-binance-charges.html
Why bitcoin though? SEC is saying some altcoins are securities. Bitcoin didn't have a token offering and i don't think anyone sees it as a security. However many "staking" options for bitcoin can have a negative effect against the exchanges.

If anything, this will cause some people move from altcoins back to fiat or to btc. In fact i would be surprised if more and more people wouldn't buy bitcoin after this.
1518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coin - PEPE on: June 08, 2023, 10:07:09 PM
it's still very reasonable to invest with a small capital like $ 10, because if indeed memecoin is a scam then our risk is very minimal,
yes from Shiba and Doge indeed we can't turn away from memecoin because from memecoin if we are lucky then 1000x even 10000x we can get easily ,
so it's no wonder that some people bet on PEPE and buy it only for profit.
When it's still micro or low marketcap maybe, but you are not making 1000x with current marketcap. Sure, you can invest $10m as it's not like you would lose much, but you won't be making big bucks either. It doesn't have room for 1000x in a million years. Devs would be retired before it gets that much attention again.

If you want to play games and be lucky, try that $10 with new microcaps, like you know, pepe, when it was still a microcap. You might get lucky. Changes are that you'll lose that $10 but it's only $10
1519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Algorand dead or can it recover? on: June 08, 2023, 09:57:40 PM
I hold Algorand and not sure if I should buy these low prices or just hold and accept its over ??
It is currently at its lowest price in 3 years and almost at its all time low.
The SEC labelling it a security has put a lot of fear into everyone.
Does it have a future or is it over?
When the price is lowest, the fud will be hardest. If you really believe in it, turn off news and don't listen either hype or fud. Listen to yourself. Coin isn't over just because SEC says it's a security, it just changes how it's been traded. Also XRP has been a security for 2 years now according to SEC. Has it died?

When times are hard you need to have a thick skin. And you do realize that this has been hard always. People are wondering why everyone didn't buy in the bottom before. This is why. It's hard to believe  in the future when everyone is shouting that cryptos are dead. Those who believed made lots of money.
1520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if social media apps start launching their own cryptocurrency? on: June 08, 2023, 09:46:06 PM
-cut-
Let's discuss!
Most of the coins they have tried, like with facebook and telegram have failed. Facebook tried to fight but launching their version of stable coin, even though basket of rather stable assets was a good idea, i can't see how involving facebook to anything like that would be a good idea.

Telegram returned the money they rised on the sale but chose to let people use the code while they are not integrating it to the chat after all, TON is being used with semi active community.
I personally don't see any reasons for social media sites having their own coins or tokens. They serve no purpose. If they want they can integrate other existing coins.

Would make sense / dosn't Reddit have some kind of coin (not crypto) system in place yet? So should be easy for them.
Reddit don't have their own token but reddit NFT avatars have over 10 million users and they are trading quite actively in the opensea.
reddit communities however can launch their own tokens like r/cryptocurrency has "moons", those are being used to buy ad space from the subreddit.
