1621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Before investing on meme coin or shitcoins consider this. on: May 23, 2023, 02:04:49 PM
-cut-
1. They are not created for long term most of the time shitcoins exist for short term and devs who create it will dump this because they move to their next project to avoid losing your money sell it immediately once you are in profit.
This applies to most new coins and tokens out there. NFTs too. It has been so since i got in. Anon devs have nothing to lose, if they make money with that tactic there's no reason to keep going and abandoning their projects right after start.

Other points i agree totally with. But new people are going to do same mistakes over and over.
1622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT OR MEMES on: May 23, 2023, 01:28:55 PM
Most of the nfts are basically individual collectable meme coins with pictures. Prove me wrong. But in comparison meme tokens might have better liquidity and you don't have to sell them dirt cheap in order to exit the markets. Nfts however can be sometimes difficult to sell and you might have to wait weeks or months to get your sell orders bought.
1623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Cardano still a good investment? on: May 22, 2023, 11:49:40 PM
I am looking to add one more Crypto to my portfolio and thinking Cardano but wondering how high this can really go during the next bull run.

I am looking for a 10x minimum between now and bull run and the current price is £0.29 with a £10billion market cap - the chances of Cardano doing a 10x next bull run are likely right?

I do not know too much about Cardano just that it is current top 10 and many rave about it, would be good to hear thoughts on this both good and bad.
Still? It hasn't been for a long time. And if ADA does 10x most likely whole market does 20x. so i wouldn't personally pick ada. It has followers yeah but that's seems more like a cult. I know that BTC and ETH holders have been considered as a cult but least eth has some super brains behind it

Ada just has money and i can't see any clear vision in it. I know for a fact that some of the best coders out there that have rejected insane amounts of money to work for ada. They rejected it because they don't believe in it. So why would i. I don't even code but that tells me enough.
1624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there play and pay later casinos? on: May 22, 2023, 10:50:30 PM

So is gambling debt one way or other possible without the person taking loan or borrowing money?
I am not sure how regular your friend was in there but big spenders that come back regularly probably have some credit in some physical casinos where you can even get to know the staff. I know that there's a team following big spenders and it just serves casino's interest to give them credit so they keep on playing. As they know they are good for it later.

Then there's obviously credit card i can use, but regular guys would be laughed out from the casino if they started to ask about loan for gambling.
1625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Osmosis or Tezos? on: May 22, 2023, 10:23:20 PM
Hello,
Thank you so much for your reply.
The Osmosis's current staking reward is 20.07%, but Tezos is 5.87%.
What is the goal of Osmosis and Tezos projects?
Excuse me but i thought that you picked these 2 for a reason. So why did you pick these two seemingly random projects if you don't even know what they are eveb about?
But to your question, i would stay away from both of them and choose something completely new. Tezos has good ideas, but i really don't like tezos as smart contract platform.

Osmosis is pretty unknown to me.
1626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next bull market comes in June on: May 22, 2023, 08:50:10 PM

Here is my bold assumption. As the recent cryptocurrency prices continue to drop dramatically, the whole market needs a big time and force to embrace a new bullish period. As the US strengthens more regulations, more money is looking for a new place to flow into. Recently, Hong Kong held the Web3 festival to show their determination to build a crypto hub in Asia. The new rules and favorable policies on crypto will be implemented in this June. I firmly believe that as long as the new window opens, endless hot money from China mainland and all over the world will be flooding into the crypto market in Hong Kong. All cryptocurrencies will see a bull run for a while. By the way, our project FireDAO is in progress and please feel free to contact me should you have any inquiries.

I am assuming that you meant altcoin bullmarket aka altcoin summer. (since you were writing this in altcoin discussion)

How deo you think you prediction has went so far FireDAOJackie_Z? Usually good indicator for altcoin bullrun is total crypto marketcap minus btc, that seems to be down since you wrote this:

Other one would be just looking how eth is doing

That isn't doing great either. So what were you basing your prediction on if i may ask? Only on China fundamentals?
1627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose altcoins you buy? on: May 22, 2023, 08:34:30 PM
I've been around for a while so my tactic has varied a lot. I have choosen my coins and tokens by the fact they have:

Real world use case: When i came in i was told buy coins with actual real world use case. I tried to find those but so far i haven't found any real world adoption for anything other than permissionless transfer of wealth that's been done with bitcoin from the start. Maybe some smart contracts can be useful but they have not been adopted in any significant scale. There's potential in many of them, but most of them are now going to be adopted ever. And even their devs know this, yet they can't really say it as they want to sell their snake oil. I a still looking for even one that might be adopted.

This is not necessary at all. In most cases, it makes absolutely no difference for the token to give a great return to its investor. The PEPE example proves this statement perfectly. The most important thing is to consider the narratives and what kind of hype is around right now regarding the coin's category. The same TRON has a strong fundamental and useful utilitarian properties. Except that it hasn't updated its ATH in the last 5.5 years.

I am strongly starting to agree on this. Although i didn't see tron having strong fundamentals. Imho it was like a centralized lego version of Ethereum. Something to play with but it would have crashed to scaling too. Sure, it was fast, but so would be eth with less users.

Still hope that some crypto tech will get breaktrough adoption and not just hype. I am uncertain what it would be. Most likely tech still needs development for it and some cutting edge new solutions.
1628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano (ADA) Sees Immense Price Bump as Ecosystem Grows Exponentially on: May 22, 2023, 04:19:21 PM
So is the big thing behind the pump Djed stablecoin? I feel like i am missing some point here as it's backed by ADA coins. I mean what could go wrong? Cheesy
I think this is worst idea ever that might make sense when ada is stable but let's say the price crashed. How much crash can it handle before it's going to unpeg in epic way?
I am not an expert in this field but common sense and history itself tells you a story. I mean FTT were used in FTX reserves. Using ADA in Djed reserves is going to be different how?
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coin - PEPE on: May 21, 2023, 11:57:12 PM
Do any of these "meme" coins matter? What use cases can they provide to the world? People are only getting into the hype with the hopes of getting rich quick. Good luck with that. PEPE may be the hottest "meme" coin around, but that doesn't mean it's worth it. The "pump" in market price will be shortlived, especially when the coin doesn't have any real substance to it. I cannot use PEPE to pay for goods and/or services the same way I can with BTC or even ETH for that matter. It's all speculation to say the least.

I think Dogecoin will be the sole survivor of the "meme" coins group because of its tried-and-tested blockchain network over the years. The others are just clones or failed attempts to copy the original "meme" coin. At least, it will be a fun ride while it lasts. As long as you don't put all of your money in "meme" coins, there should be nothing to worry about. Just my thoughts Grin
If we are going there, do altcoins matter more? When some coins have made up solutions that doesn't need a blockchain i feel that those are way more dishonest and bad for the crypto scene then random meme tokens.

Meme tokens are honest and no one takes them seriously. They are not selling snake oil and say that banks, health industry and governments are going to be replaced by them. They are just for having fun and gamble with markets.

If something needs more light, it's the shady projects that are lying so that people think they are needed and they are relevant. Those are the real bad actors that are sabotaging any credibility this field has.

Cool

And in other news it was reported that Bigfoot was sighted with videos on you tube to prove it, and the earth is flat as reported on that bastion of truthfulness and credible links, Bitcointalk.org  p+s board

...chuckle Cheesy
Don't give BADecker new ideas. If something isn't real, it goes to BADecker's own wikipedia of deliusions as an evidence about the real truth-truth. Smiley

That's what happens when reality doesn't make you feel significant. You'll have to make your own reality where you "won". Reality with an interesting plot and BADecker as a centerpiece who somehow understand the secret truth.

QAnonCasualties in reddit is a place where you can see the aftermath what happens to friends and relatives when people go full BADecker and reject the psychiatric treatment they need.

1631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chinese coins pump coming? on: May 21, 2023, 11:36:37 PM
Hello, with Hong Kong looking to lift ban on crypto in a few months June 1st 2023. Could we see huge gains coming from the next bull market from the following coins: Filecoin (FIL), VeChain (VET), Neo (NEO) and Conflux (CFX).

What are your thoughts?
Well looks like it was exit on the rumor event. I personally don't trust chinece coins anymore. People are afraid on what sec does to crypto in the west but with chinese coins we have experienced even worse back and forth dance, and there's no end coming.

"Is it already that time of the year when China bans crypto?" is a meme already. And it's funny because it has been true for everyone who has been here longer. Fud and fomo has been too strong and when fundamentals are so shaky, you really can't build future on top of that. You can seek pumps but that's all.
1632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: May 21, 2023, 11:19:53 PM
This is just the basics, but anyone should be aware of it:

Budget: set it BEFORE you start gambling and stick to it.
Have a break from time to time, it is important to let your brain stop and consider.
Avoid drugs / drink as much as possible, they will make you loose some control innevitably.
Seek help if you feel you are no longer in control. Make a phone call to a friend or go out and speak with someone.

Anything else anyone can think of? Like... read this post before gambling? Tongue
Good advices, i would like to add some:

When you are losing money, comfort yourself. Don't try to act tough because it really hurts and you need to be aware of what you are feeling and take care of yourself.
By comforting i mean doing something just for you. What ever that is or how silly it is, it doesn't matter as long it brings you comfort and joy.

Have other things in life that bring you joy and excitement, so you don't automatically get every rush from gambling. But have something else to look forward to.
There are cheap or even free activities to fill your time from climbing to gaming with your pc.

If you want you can set days when you don't gamble and try to fill those with activities that are enjoyable and productive. Productive because they bring self-esteem and that's a good balance when you had a losing streak.

1633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker coming to stake.com in the near future ! on: May 21, 2023, 10:20:53 PM

On yesterday's stream Eddie said Poker should and will be coming to stake some time soon.
He didn't mention a specific time though.
-cut-
Excellent news! I've only tried pokerstars for now and i didn't like the user experience in there so much. I am betting stake will build a better one.

I also kinda hope that they will start to host big world tournaments, as they would have gravitas to do that and casino infrastructure for money would be in place already. All they need is as sleek user experience as they have in the casino and i guarantee that people from other poker sites would come running.
1634  Economy / Gambling / Re: NFTonSPIN.com - Leading Crypto Casino With Get Full Refund If Not Satisfied on: May 21, 2023, 10:14:16 PM
BTC NFTonSPIN.com is the first and only casino to have a refund policy, if player is not satisfied.
This is a bold option which is not provided by any where online in crypto or non crypto gambling.
What does this even mean? Your terms of service doesn't cover this so it could mean anything. I can camble $1000 and ask my money back if i want? And you will pay (for some weird reason). How long can i play? A month and decide it's not for me, give my money back. You haven't explained this at all. Right now that sounds very much like scammy nonsense.
1635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose altcoins you buy? on: May 21, 2023, 09:52:21 PM
I don't agree with all the points done by the OP. Specially listening to friends for profitable coins and jumping into new coins that are launched.
-cut-
In short, altcoins are less likely to give you stable income in long term than bitcoin.
You don't have to agree with me, tactics i've tried are not advices. And i don't agree with you Smiley. I don't see it as simple as staying in bitcoin. But it's a free world and i am not judging anyone, no matter are they into centralized altcoins, bitcoins, meme coins or matured altcoins.

If you want to buy any Altcoin, I check the following points:
4) on which blockchain the token is starting;
What blockchains you prefer? And what if it has their own brand new blockchain?

Trusting a tip from a friend: For some weird reason my newb friends have found some gems. They don't even necessary understand what marketcap means or how to do research. They might have bought because they liked the name. I see no reason buying them but they are making a killng with them. These days i throw some money on what ever they say. That might not be smart but i might as well.
I couldn't find this would be one way of choosing altcoins. My bad experience in the past due to a recommendation from a friend makes me think that trusting is somewhat difficult this time. I lost my hard-earn money because I assumed that trusting a close friend could assure also that I was safe but not knowing he is also a part of the scammers.
That is exactly what I would say if we have to invest in any form of investment, especially in crypto must be done with research first. We can decline an offer from our friend or to any person if it is necessary.
Any of my tactics are not an advice, i was just stating what i do. At this market space i wouldn't recommend any of my solutions to others. It's more like combination of experience and pure luck.
1636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metamask Implemented Crypto Tax on their ToS on: May 21, 2023, 08:01:57 PM
The issue now is that these so-called DEFI apps are the ones doing the bidding of the Centralised governments, Uniswap and MetaMask are pure evil and I am surprised that people are not turning against them, things have really changed in this space maybe people have made money and are comfortable with this, so,  if you decided to withhold my funds but you claim you are a DEX then this is crazy since they started monitoring people's transaction and I believe they give this information to IRS or other government agencies, we need a truly decentralized wallet that is not tracking you
Ok, hold your horses. What part of this is "pure evil"? The fact that they offered the service to buy with credit card? I guess that makes every shop out there pure evil. Or is it the fact that they follow regulations because they are a technology company based in NYC and have to follow rules or possibly get jailed for not doing so?

If you think they are pure evil by developing free services then by all means find a copypaste dex with anon devs that only offer pure dex services. Preferably one that doesn't rug you and is audited by same company who did uniswap v3. Or build your own one.

I really don't get this hate.
1637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Before investing on meme coin or shitcoins consider this. on: May 20, 2023, 11:06:36 PM
Can you define a shitcoin? Because back in time everything else but bitcoin was a shitcoin. And usually everythign other than i hold is a shitcoin. There's a wide shade of brown in shitcoins and many of them have been launched with good intentions. Not everything has been a scam from the start. Many of them are but not all low cap altcoins. They just later failed as they didn't got any hype or developers.

Probably due to the close source feature of the google app which makes it risky in some way in case google is storing our data. Think about it, If google have access to your authenticator key. Your security might be exploited when their database was breach.

There’s still some good Authenticator out there that is open source. Open source is the typical choice of forum user since everyone can check the code. I’m not that kind of meticulous in 2FA since all my account is protected with multi layer security. I’m also using google account for a long time. Changing now for an open source Authenticator is not for me.
Yeah, but can you name and link one event where google 2fa was compromised because of that? I would take link to any hack event at all in where google 2fa was compromised because of the program itself was exploited. Because i can't find any. Other 2fa hacks i can find plenty. But obviously open source should be always preferred. I am not talking against that by any means.

I have bought 50k FUN tokens a few months ago and locked them for 1 year with 25% APY. Each FUN token price was around 36 satoshi when I bought it. But now the FUN token value is 19 satoshi. The reward of the WOF spins won't be enough to recover the amount which I have lost for FUN/BTC pair drop until now. I think that the FUN/BTC pair will decrease more in the upcoming months.
If you think it's an useful and cool token with good fundamentals, and you thought 36 sats were a good price, surely you are buying them with nearly 50% discount to recover more easily.
Because since they are locked, only thing you could do is DCA more of them until price recovers, unless that decrease you are predicting is going to be radical and you think it won't.
1640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins airdrops you received so far for the year 2023 on: May 20, 2023, 10:39:00 PM
Some say airdrops retroactive arent profitable. Maybe for some its a waste of time but for others thats plenty of money already and could been helpful to their financial status in life. Im giving of my airdrops receive so far and hoping to gain with other protocols too.  Can you share yours?

*Arbitrum 1500 tokens (free)
*Sui Network 1500 tokens ($45 for joining allowlist at $0.03 per tokens)

I'll update the thread for the next drops that I would receive from doing testnet and retroactive tasks.
Were there even more real airdrops yet? Those were most famous ones and i totally missed out on both of them. But i can't win every time and i was lucky with IMX and GODS airdrops back in day. With those i didn't get any heads up. I just managed to get them by being early at the right place. It would be fun to know about any hot ones and how to get them. I mean i tried to get ARB but i guess i didn't do enough to be eligible.
