No. To me that individual comes across as a clown. It is the combination of him and the lottery spammer that triggered it for me. As soon as there is interesting technical discussion going on those two appear in the middle of it all bumping their nonsense and posting the same garbage. If you care to look it is memorialized in black and white on this forum. While everyone is discussing a good technical discussion uninterrupted, those two see fit to inject their b.s. right in the middle of the discussion. This happens on all forums everywhere. Self serving selfish pigs as soon as they see action and discussion insert themselves to grab the available eyeballs. Every time the twitter clown posts I picture him in a top hat with a walking cane in his hand shrieking 'step right in...'. Sorry I cannot be a part of this circus anymore. And that unfortunately is the direction it is heading to. From a technically stand-out coin with zero direction to goofballs surfacing to promote it. Wrong direction in my view. For anyone who's interested, a sneak peak at the next release of Darkcoin:
TLDR:
- Next release will go out in the next two days probably, I'm going with the community and calling it "The Onyx Release"
- It features mandatory, non-exploitable Masternode payments.
- Masternode payments are completely predictable now. I.e., if there's 2000 masternodes you can expect 1 payment every 4 days (divide the amount of nodes by the blocks per day to get your ROI).
- Masternode payments will go to 25% one week from release (non-manditory)
- Afterwards I encourage the community to find the pools still paying 20% and contact them to make sure they update their stratum before it's too late
- Masternode payments beyond that will increase to 30% in November, 35% in December and continue on until we get at least 3000 masternodes.
- Huge security updates to Darksend. It's much more robust and can take a beating.

I have changed a lot since the beginning, based on feedback. My tweets post every 45 min.(it was 10 at the start) and interaction happens whenever I get a chance. Have you even looked at my Twitter feed?
My follower list continues to grow, check it out, there are more than a few surprises there.
I am gaining followers from all walks of life, bankers, radicals, BTC startup CEOs, and have attracted interest from OKCoin (you know the Chinese Exchange can you say DRK/CNY? ).
Check my thread, my efforts are NOT being wasted, and I am relentless. This initiative is net positive for DRK and I'm not about to let some whiners stop me.
Evan Duffield and Fernando Gutierrez are firmy behind this initiative, and it will continue, so join me, or do not, I don't care, but get used to it.
We are spreading the word here. We have an awesome coin, lets show it off!

Many, many months ago there were discussions on how to get DRK to "the next level"... Now that the code is public, tweeting isn't going to do shit for the coin in all reality. What really needs to happen is: 1. Increased adoption as a legit currency, whether this is Open Bazaar or other places, I don't know. 2. I think I was underwhelmed by Kristov's analysis and while I can't wrap my head around why, it still might be worthwhile to get some other trusted voice in cryptography involved on an audit.. maybe I was just looking for some sort of definitive statement outlining the effectiveness of the privacy/anonymity stuff... 3. Another thing discussed was getting Evan out into the public eye, via conferences... this was the only one I recall seeing: I'll be speaking at the Cryptocurrency Convention on Apr 9th in NewYork, detailing how DarkSend works and promoting DarkCoin. If anyone will be in NewYork at that time I'd love to meet you!

I've started to see what Darkcoin is all about now. It never meant to be for every one Worldwide currency like I thought when I invested in this coin; it's a good coin but it's downfall is it's distribution + community hates negative comments about this coin and ignore you without really debating with you. Also this mess with Mintpal biggest Darkcoin exchange took out volume and it's like scattered everywhere some went to Bitfinex others to Cryptsy or Bittrex it's sad really.
Bring a vaguely thought out point to debate, we'll debate. It's difficult to have an intelligent conversation with idiots. Not a single thing you just posted makes any sense whatsoever. Tell me why? please do because I really do want to know if there is something I am missing that you know and I don't. I presume you invested in DRK because you believe there is a market for financial privacy, anonymous transactions... I did, and DRK is the clear leader in the field. And with upcoming InstanTX and other innovations, that lead will grow. Oh, and easily completely compatible with BTC API's. XC is closed source, nobody knows if or how it works. All the CN clones have big technical problems and are a dead end as far as adoption goes, have you ever tried using one of them? What's left? Croak? If you want DRK to succeed, stop complaining and do something about it. Rejoice, open source means complete freedom to contribute! Stop sitting on your arse hoping someone else's hard work is going to make you rich. Or sell your DRK and go somewhere else? I don't know how many posts I've made on technical / economic subjects in the last 2 months. 2-tier architecture vs 1-tier, support for legacy commercial interfaces vs revised ones, the economics of fiat vs crypto and which cryptos are in a position to benefit, the merits of counting vs not counting masternode holdings towards marketcap, privacy vs anonymity and the "libertarian argument", speculative vs real value.... I could go on and on. Theres a ton of things you could be challenging. Yet all people ever come up with is: - "the price keeps falling and everyone on here said it was going to the moon" - "we can't take any criticism" - "there are big holders due to instamine" You people sure know how to give a guy a migrane. Change the record ffs or come up with some semi-informed commentary. I for one am not responsible for the price and unless it goes to zero, I don't really give a sh*t what it is at this point in the coin's life. Also be advised this is an [ANN] thread and if you don't expect holders to be championing the coin for all it's worth during a big rise then go and read the Financial Times for investment advice. I look forward to your posts Tok; they're quite insightful and of great interest to me. I'd be very happy to keep reading them. Your assessments on global financial issues and the games being played out by the central bankers (and all the other manipulators of currencies) I think are spot on. Thanks Plus one.
