The LATAM Bitcoin conference is in Mexico this Friday and Saturday. Evan's presentation wont be specifically about Evolution, in this presentation we will be discussing Dash's experience with full node incentive and a 2 tier network and the possibilities that opens for cryptocurrency. We will use the opportunity to open up the draft documents and current code of the Evolution features and ideas to the general community so we can start discussing here and in other forums about the technology. We are at a point where the ideas are clear enough to be shared and the dev team can benefit from open feedback and discussion in preparation for the Miami keynote that will be more focused on Evolution. The idea is for Dash as a project and community is to go to Miami with a model that is open and already includes community feedback and discussion, so the time to start that discussion is now. I volunteer that 99% of my posts are in this thread, because this is the coin I'm interested and invested in.
As I've mentioned before, I'm a believer of investing in people. Now, the people involved in Dash are smart, talented and have a vision of the future which I share.
I did not partake in the instamine, but I harbour no ill will to anyone who was lucky enough to be there at the time. In fact, as was mentioned before, the instamine allowed the lead dev to devote full-time efforts to developing the best anonymous coin, and then evolve his focus to creating true digital cash.
I considered the pros and cons, and invested in Dash. I am not #REKT by any means, I'm down a little bit, but nothing substantial. I have not been scammed even though I missed the instamine. I still devote a fair bit of my time to promoting Dash in social media and in person.
The prospects for the next year are strong, and I strongly agree with the consensus that all of these "well-wishers" are here because that scares the shit out of them.
We are going to succeed, and when we do, someone is going to make a movie out of this thread, you can be sure.
EDIT: Monero testing .001 hard these days, if that support falls, it might not be Dash that's going to be #REKT....

Since Evan introduced me to Evolution, I'd be crazy not to. Cutting and pasting a Bitcoin address from a website into a clunky desktop wallet and waiting 10 minutes to buy something is going to seem like green-screen teletype when we release this. I wish I could say more Making a wallet more usable doesn't magically make the cryptocurrency more secure or scale. I'm betting DASH will roll out these fancy wallet features FIRST, before they start the "scaling" phase. This gives them a reason to try to pump the vaporware... I was just talking about you... This is really the best time for "trolls" to get the best bang for their buck. Development is happening behind the scenes, so they have plenty of time to play up the undeveloped aspects of Dash, which, just like most cryptos, is still in beta.
There has been quite a while in between releases, which is unusual for Dash.
The problem for the "trolls" is the reason for the delay between releases. Dash Evolution will be so different from anything else that has been done before, line after line of code has to be re-written. What Evan is building will be revolutionary, and this scares anyone who opposes this coin.
Now, the "trolls" can also counter "Nothing's been documented, so vaporware."
Absolutely correct. However, the details will be revealed in less than 2 months in Miami. So, in reality, the time of plenty for the "trolls" is running out. The world will see Evan's genius at these conferences, and Dash will be stronger than ever.
