if you people took a quick look on the log-charts, you would see that both in november '10 and june '11 there was faster growth.
Yes but I spent all my coin on a pizza

My take would be, the time to buy back was 15 minutes ago. Hope you did Quoted! I didn't actually, Let's see if I'll have any regrets. IMHO we can buy back cheaper. Nikola thinks it'll go lower. I believe $110.25 was the bottom for today. One of us is right Bitcoin's volatility has impressed me several times before, though. I went +50,000 USD in with speculative capital the day when it smashed from 90->50 about 84 hours ago. No, I did not buy at 50, my average buy point was 86! That was my smartest guess, which was outsmarted by the herd that day. Anyway, half of that position is still long (half sold after a day at 92) and I will sell it according to schedule for a profit. If it goes below 90, I will buy back. I am short term bearish for anything above 130. Yeah well I wasn't able to get any money into Gox until yesterday (missed the $50 buying opportunity). I did get in at $90, sold on the second blip at $130. I bought back in at $120 and I'm going to sleep. People will neglect their health at the hopes of making easy money. Money has no purpose when you're dead (other than to distribute your estate haha).

Too late, going back up... dead cat bounce or not ? Buying pressure is still at insane levels.
No, the bump to $125 lasted 45 minutes. That's pressure? Heading back down....$120..

My take would be, the time to buy back was 15 minutes ago. Hope you did Let's be honest here, all the sensible was money was in at < $70 How dare you come on these forums and ask for sensibility. I'm am relatively clueless about trading compared to a professional trader or broker (although I've been trading stocks for almost 25 year). The professional traders have a bit more insight but you can't try to explain the behavior of some 23 year old pot smoking kid who's got 10 rigs in his garage mining away LTC and buying coins in between puffs. I think it's all luck, you can see all the cups and handles and boobs in the graph that you want...

I'm supplementing my BTC count with my unusual luck at SatoshiDICE, and I tend to come out with 0.15BTC every hour of betting on the 73% and 50%.
The brilliant thing about Satoshi Dice is that it creates this illusion of winning. Lol, don't you see all those winners in Vegas. Poor Vegas, donating so much money to people...

Scratch the gliding, dumped to $117113
If you think it will do $150 get in now If you think it will go back under $90 wait

I want to know who is really buying after a $40 increase in one day? Someone selling to themselves perhaps?
I can explain this, but its a bit convoluted and I am too tired right now. If nobody has explained it by tomorrow, I will take a swing at it. Looking forward to that explanation. Particularly in Bitcoin, no strategy is better than simply holding. Even those people who bought at $32 in June 2011 look pretty good now - 400% in 2 years - except if they were stupid enough to sell at $2 in October. Even those people who bought at $260 a few days back will look pretty good in 2 years when the default of France and Japan pushes Bitcoin to 20,000. That's why you buy the coins you can afford to not touch and put them in a safe wallet. You put your play money on the exchange. Up until tonight I was only doing #1 (primarily due to fears of hacks on exchanges), finally going to start messing with my "monopoly" money.

The slow slide to $100 happens now ($125 and gliding, no crash per se) Go to $60 already

You're getting 2 7970s inside a case to run at 1180 and you're complaining?
Be happy. I have 2 of those same Gigabyte 7970s running at 1110/125 in an open rig running 85C/79C directly on the motherboard (ambient 80F-90F)
Open your case up and maybe put the miner in the garage if you have one, or build a cover and let it mine outside.
Unless you add a lot more core voltage you're not going above 1180 on most 7970s.

All the people who were afk or didn't sell on the way down to $50 now are given a second chance. Most of America is asleep, so I figure come morning for them there will be some profit taking. I put in my buys for $60, and still sitting on all the coins I mined so if goes to $266 I win either way Just gotta decide if I should grab some LTC before going to bed...

Come on it sat at 90 for 1 day. This is somebody just messing with it. It's going back to $100-110 sometime today.

I would love to see BTC $100 by the end of the year. I don't want to see it at $250 next Monday and $53 next Wednesday and $180 the week after.
Who is going to use it as a currency then? It would basically a tool for traders to milk money from noobies.
I'm sure many here would love to see the volatility. I personally would be happy if it stayed still for 7 months.

Ozcoin's DGM model is very much sustainable as long as operating costs are contained. I believe POT is OK too. PPS just puts pools at risk because if you have a sizeable hashrate and don't hit blocks for a long time (77 million blocks) then you're paying PPS miners for accomplishing essentially non-productive work. Even a 8% PPS rate which another pool has might seem ridiculous compared to OzCoin's 3% fee but not even a 25% fee would have saved OzCoin PPS if they went into the last 2 weeks with no buffer.
I have no idea how MtRed was able to hang on for so long - was he subsidizing the pool?

Will an escrow be used to collect the payment? Perhaps John K?
I don't think anybody on these forums should be comfortable swinging 782BTC around.
Tip him 5BTC for the work of documenting the group buy and have him forward the BTC to Avalon.

Wow, just wow. That is the worst lucky run I have ever seen (the past 2 weeks). Sorry to see PPS disabled Graet but it had to be done for pool viability. Now I get to try POT
