Uhh, Seattle.

I've been to Seattle 10 times and although I usually don't go downtown near dusk I don't remember it looking like that.  Guess I'm going to have to start exploring.
1822  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movies that you recommend to watch on: June 11, 2014, 01:35:24 AM
Contact with Jodi Foster.

Still one of my fav movies of all time and probably the best opening of any movie.
1823  Other / Off-topic / Re: Favourite cartoon show on: June 11, 2014, 01:34:26 AM
Nowadays I'm watching the cartoons my kids are watching, but back in the day it was Transformers, Voltron and He-man and later on Animaniacs.
1824  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the weirdest thing that happened to you today? on: June 10, 2014, 06:15:10 AM
I saw an idiot on the LA freeways drive off the shoulder while texting. Made my day.  Did I call 911, nope.  I cheered  Cheesy
1825  Other / Off-topic / Re: which dish you like to cook for yourself ? on: June 10, 2014, 06:13:36 AM
The best I can do on my own is probably some fried rice or blueberry pancackes.  Fortunately got the wifey to keep me alive  Grin
1826  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Buy antminer S2 or not? on: June 10, 2014, 06:01:20 AM
If the funds are not there to buy better valued hardware then I would just sit on the $ or even buy BTC with it.  SP30 (if you can host it) now looks like a better option.
1827  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Buy antminer S2 or not? on: June 10, 2014, 05:33:15 AM
S2's price is not competitive at the current time so I wouldn't recommend it.
1828  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Browser You Use on: June 10, 2014, 05:16:29 AM
Firefox and occasionally IE.  Chrome only to grab deals or with pages that won't load on other 2.
1829  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst Movies You Have Ever Watched on: June 10, 2014, 05:02:11 AM
Blair Witch Project.

Got dragged into watching that with some friends during med school.  I don't normally watch horror or paranoia films because they just don't scare me.  This one was a snooze fest - checked my watch about 20 times during the movie and actually considered asking for my money back.

Nothing outside of EU and Asia will impress.

did you see the picture i posted of los angeles, california? what do you think? does that mean you aren't impressed? that's my home, man! haters gonna hate, i guess.

haters. gonna. hate.

Hahaha, rep LA!

But damn, look at all that morning fog.. and I can sense the 91 fwy and 405 fwy traffic.

Wait its not fog.. its smog! lol.

Well it's better than 20 years ago but you can still see the brown layer if you fly into LAX.  After the rare rainy day the sky is blue.  When we have out lovely wifldires it snows ash like a nuclear winter  Shocked

I would ask if they could convert me to one of them.  If you can't beat 'em....
1833  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 6BTC investment into mining, worth it ? on: June 09, 2014, 08:08:22 PM
You call it an investment.  Typically people expect investments to earn them money.  If you spend 6BTC buying hardware and mining it's almost certain you will end up with less than 6BTC (unless you have a good connection with cheap ASICs).
1834  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: A suggestion for any well known pool operator. Run a second pool as solo on: June 09, 2014, 08:02:10 PM
Yeah I can see noobies mining on there and then crying for the next 3 years when somebody scams them out of 25BTC.  When a pool owner says trust me there has to be a foundation for that trust.  Running a large pool for a couple years is a good place to start.

While I don't 100% agree with all his ratings, Dogie has a pretty comprehensive list here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=456691.0

Agreed.  I don't always agree with him but he is pretty objective with his analysis.  Good place for beginners.

1838  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's talk about how hot Asian girls are. on: June 09, 2014, 07:52:11 PM
It's weird when your browsing the forums and find random Asian pictures here and there
One more for today Tongue
Take your pick
<img>

Thanks! Grin

My pick:

Yep.  She was easiest to spot in about 2 seconds of scanning.

And if that was the TSA lineup, I would be ingesting BBs to set off the metal detector, wand, pat down, search....  Grin

What's that, a hot asian girl for my Avatar  Grin

Haha I would've chosen the same one. <3

What's not to like:
Hair - simple
Face - damn cute
Smile - probably the best in the lineup
Complexion - nice - no crazy warts or hair
Breasts - just right
Legs - could use a little more tone
Posture - perfect

Damn I'm gay now.  Or am I  Huh

C&C

Oh god bless C&C Series.
Remembers me... Does anyone knows if C&C RA:2 stills free anywhere?

EA bought Westwood and killed off another good publisher.  You can buy the whole EA collection on Origin now for $5 though.  RA:2 is not going to run on Win 7 without some tweaking though.
1840  Other / Off-topic / Re: Apollo 11 fake or real? on: June 09, 2014, 06:59:51 PM
Other than needing Helium-3 for potential fusion reactors I don't see any exploitable materials on the moon.  I'm sure the worldwide petroleum industry would bribe and payoff enough people to not see that happen in our lifetime.
