ANOTHER 4x SP20's and 2x Seasonic 1250x's are GONE.
2442  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 10x Antminer S5's Hosted with the Lee Group (Mr. Lee) on: June 04, 2015, 04:57:55 PM
Good luck with the sale, but daym that's expensive to take a risk with in China of all places. That's $0.10USD per KWH.

I thought those places were less than 1/2 that.  Shocked
2443  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 10 EVGA 1300 Watt G2 Power Supplys on: June 04, 2015, 04:52:08 PM
I have 10 EVGA 1300 Watt G2 Power Supplys. Escrow is a must. BTC or USD. 2 of them are brand new still in plastic 8 of them are used. Im looking for 160/unit USD for used and 190/unit for the 2 new ones. Contact me asap and if your want to get all of them we can work out a deal. Thanks.

Bring that down to $120 which is the going rate for used ones and you might sell them.
2444  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S5 vs Spondoolies SP20 on: June 04, 2015, 04:47:45 PM
Sorry to rehash the thread, but I just bought a EVGA 1200w P2 power supply I found on sale yesterday to couple up on an sp20 or some S5's.  Debating between the sp20 and the S5, it looks as though I might be better running 2 S5s and get better power use per tg/s than combining an S5 and an sp20.  The S5's are easy to find at about $450, but can hardly locate any sp20's for sale and the price is significantly higher than the S5's.  I'd like to stick in the 2 tg/s range since I'm a noob and see how this goes.  Any thoughts about me thinking 2 S5's might be "friendlier" than an sp20 or an sp20 coupled with an s5?

Heat is one thing to worry about since I'm in Texas, that's why I favor the S5 over the sp20 here because lower watts.

They are about the same at the same speeds. The S5 is 'maybe' 30-40watts more efficient. At that speed you can run 2x of either on that power supply.

But the S5 is WAY louder than the SP20's.

Question .

For the past 2 blocks my status page has shown "Approximately 0.00000000 BTC remaining to enter payout queue. Maintaining your 3 hour hashrate average, this will take at least another a few seconds at current network difficulty of 47,589,591,153.63.".

Also, before the last block was found, my estimated change did not get applied to my unpaid balance, even though it should have been more even.

What's going on with the pay system!?

Just as I thought - few days until max power will be reached. But thank You for explaining Smiley And I must admit, CK Pool is cool Smiley Waiting for next blocks Smiley

Yeah, it is a good pool, when the others fail to get solves and you're left with nothing, this one always recovers and catches up the losses, so it's worth having on.
The payouts are great and quick.

Hello !! Guys I would like to ask about one thing because I can't find an answer. I'm CK Pool user since 2 days and now when block is found I got reward only for ~400 Gh/s (where I have 3.9 Th/s connected to this pool). And here's the question: is that normal? Or should I wait more time to get more shares and then I'll have reward accurate to my hash power? If yes how long it could take to obtain maximum power? I will be really grateful for answer.

It takes a few days for the hash rate or shift rate to count up totally. I know it's confusing (I am confused by it still), but think of it like a backlog. If you were mining 3-4days (Or whatever the hours now are)ago at 4TH, you'd get rewards for that amount right now. If you stop right now and mine another pool, your sent hashes will keep earning for you for days still.
It only really hurts when we don't find a block for 3 days or more (HURL).

I'm sure a much better explanation will be coming soon. ;-)

ps. hash rate is in the toilet for the pool now. Good for payout, but we're headed to 2-3days block solves territory.  Sad

Unless this is happening in a week or less, I'm out. Can't spend a year waiting, sorry.

Wow, How many pools are on the solopool?
I know one I'm in that is sending 400TH, another friend was sending 400TH yesterday, this guy with 800+TH, but every time I checked the pool hash total was around 1.5PH?

This pool is not made of "other pools". It's a solo mining pool meaning, people point their hashrate to this pool hoping to find a block and earns the 99.5% reward of the block. Some rent gear up to many PH and others just point USB stick here.

I'm pretty sure there is no "pool" solo mining here.

Well there are small 'pools' that some of us get together to rent larger hash rates, so that's nothing new.

A Dell Z750P can power 2x S3's without fail. They are amazing power supplies for the price.
I could sell you two S3's and a powersupply/bboard/cables, ready to hook up and mine with for $240+Shipping.
Let me know.

If you have free electricity and you live in an apartment you should consider getting a KNC Jupiter. Those are silent power hogs.

SP20, S5, S3 will drive you nuts if you sleep in the same room.

The SP20s are actually manageable underclocked at 900Gh/430watts, setting 3 on fan in a 70f ambient office.

Yes but aren't those loud? Even when underclocked and undervolted?

Yeah that's why u adjust the fans at lower speeds. Gets down to below s3 normal sounds.

4 hrs after power up a second chip began hashing.

5.5 hrs after that a 3rd has come online.

What settings are you running? Someone else reported similar when starting voltage was too low, the chips would get stuck in a loop trying to initialise.

I got that too while experimenting with too low voltage. Something between the Max limit voltage and the 4 max PSU wattage limits.
