2481  Other / Meta / Re: Does Forum Advertising Considered as a Formal Work? on: October 08, 2022, 03:10:32 AM
Would it be considered as formal work even though I think it's more like freelancing? I mean, in formality can you include that on your Resume or CV?
You could include that on CV since you are doing it and also it could boost your experience and profile when applying for real job. Doing freelancing is also a work but with a different context. Some would call it a hobby since its not their profession, but if you do something and earn fiat ouy of it then might be considered a job. If you are getting crypto and can convert that into money then its almost the same. But not the typical job of course.
2482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Earn Token by liking, following sharing and growing your social media account on: October 07, 2022, 01:51:04 PM
Not so good for investors who are looking for utility. Yes its nice but think about the purpose of their platform. It can help users to earn free tokens by engaging on social media but does investors would be interested in thatvkind of service? Maybe for hype it can be but in the long run, only few would be interested with it. There are better ways to earn but associating with a token, usually its not stay for long. Ive seen other platforms like this and end up dying.
2483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB Blockchain hack! on: October 07, 2022, 12:53:34 PM
One thing I know for sure is that, the Security architecture of BNB Blockchain has improved following it's hack.
You mean the latest hack? For sure they will add extra layer of security or any means to improve the defense as much as possible to avoid such panic and chaos on some of the holders of bnb. A hack could create panic selling and CZ and his team are fast to move and handle the problem. But shutting down the network is completely a big failure to a big chain like them. Well thats a con of being a centralized project but thumbs up for CZ doing a counter measure to the problem right away.
2484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit coins era is going to end on: October 07, 2022, 10:22:37 AM
As much as we wanted to remove them I dont think it will lessen as other people keep investing on those shitcoins expecting a multiple gain reward from pump and dump. Id still see a lot of nrw sproung shitcoins and they are always on the green mode when they launch. Meaning people still love doing shitcoins. Yes utility is also good but nowadays due to recent bull market people become so naive that they expect to get rich easily with shitcoins.
2485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: This move saved millions of dollars but there is a catch on: October 07, 2022, 10:00:44 AM
While this time CZ used this for good, you never know when this would be used for bad things or just simply against you.

So the only "hats off" would be in order because CZ has revealed the true nature of BSC (for those still doubting it) in order to stop hackers.
He will definitely do it. With his reputation right now, I dont think he can do blindly a rug pull and scam a lot of users. It maybe a centralized situation but imagine if they didnt freeze it and watch it get stolen easily. More trouble for them and also for the people.

People are  probably feel secure now, but must always remember the concept of not your key, not your coin. Good thing CZ has his head, imagine someone from Binance got swayed with the money involved and try to do it.
2486  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dusting on: October 06, 2022, 07:45:41 AM
If you're using an exchange wallet, there's nothing to warried about. Just keep your account security hard. In this case 2FA can be used. And update your passwords occasionally. And if you are using a personal wallet and noticed anything about it then you need to create a new address for every transaction.
I think theres a lot of dust attack on centralized exchange. But somehow we could see that its not a dust but a reward ona probably active staking youd already forgotten. Like on Binance, there are some little tokens we received and I just checked that it comes from their one tap feature staking. But of course there are also other tokens that probably came from dusting since the reward on the staking method doesnt include that particular that I received which means someone send it.
2487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin + MetaMask? on: October 06, 2022, 05:39:58 AM
After being exposed to metamask and logging into websites with your web3 identity, Bitcoin definitely starts feeling a little bit behind the times. I hope that at some point we do get widespread adoption for this sort of tech using Bitcoin instead of other options like Ethereum, Polygon, Solana…
On that thought you are right. But is it possible for bitcoin network to do things as what being done on ethereum network and other L1? I doubt a big changes could be beneficial for bitcoin. Its primary purpose will remain as it is, as store of value and used on transaction with peer to peer or even other institutional firms. But having a defi application could ruin its historical and main goal of Satoshi. But who knows what would happened if someone able to manage to improve bitcoin in the future.
2488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there something I don't get about USD possible losing it's value? on: October 06, 2022, 03:10:57 AM
In China, the digital yuan e-CNY is in circulation, but it is not available for purchase on cryptocurrency exchanges. Despite the fact that the purchasing power of the dollar is declining, keeping money in the yuan is absolutely not the right decision. The yuan is also subject to inflation, but at the same time it depreciates against the dollar.
Thanks for this info. I am thinking too about it, which currency will hold its value even with the inflation ongoing. But its kinda hard to choose or which country will be strong or stable against it. But we cant put so much trust on btc as it has volatile value and could further down our asset value if its continue to go down. In your opinion, which one is likely to at least be good to have (currency).
2489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please help LUNC coins stuck in Atomic wallet on: October 06, 2022, 02:56:40 AM
but after several days its still not fixed, I tried to import the private key into exodus wallet but exodus wallet gives me an error unable to moves funds Invalid private key even tho it is the correct key.

Any suggestions?
Probably try all the wallets that support their network. Whats the network that supported on atomic wallet maybe, its native terra classic, you need to check it to see which wallet fits. Then look for the wallet supported it and import your private keys. Im sure there are others not only atomic. If still doesnt work then there must be problem within the keys you arr importing or yet within the project.
2490  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My quick advice to my fellow newbies on: October 05, 2022, 01:19:40 PM
I am never going to accept the advice of not mining as a newbie, who told you that you need to be a crypto professional to start crypto mining? The tastes thing a newbie can learn about crypto is mining, I bought BTC miner before knowing anything about crypto investment and trading and I've never regretted that decision.

1. Is the miner profitable?
2. Do you have cheap electricity bills?

These are two things anyone should understand before buying a miner and the answer can be found online using google search engine.
I think he doesnt mean to offend or lecture others with such boasting message. He just reiterate that mining should be done properly and mind that he is also a newbie who probably not have much knowledge or tried mining. I think what he is saying is isnt simple to set up on a pc without any useful or efficient accesory for mining. But what you said is right. Its about factors like you mentioned.
2491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: celsius on: October 05, 2022, 04:09:15 AM
Is it possible to resign on your own company? Lol. He can just say that he abandon the project already. I don't know if what is that celsius you guys are talking about but based on the comments above it seems like it's a defi platform? We all know defi's are very risky and yet you confidently invest huge money on them.
Maybe he is just the ceo that have certain amount of shares aside from the other investors or board members. If he resigned means he might also sold his shares, of the company. Most likely he doesnt want to get involved now that the company is at worse situation.

Its not a defi as far as I remember but a cefi who also works like a defi in a decentralized space. Cause I remember I wanted to put some funds there and I needed to do a kyc so obviously its not a defi.
2492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Popular projects and none popular projects on: October 05, 2022, 03:08:44 AM
If I invest in a popular project does that make my money safe from scams or popular projects can turn to scam as well?
The latter could happen too and its proven in the past. Best example is bitconnect. Also some others well known projects that collapse and got their dirty tactics exiting the market.  It doesnt mean that if you invest on a popular one then your safe. What you need to invest in are those big projects with a lot of proven legit and has a major background. Well for that you need to check top projects, some of them arent popular but indeed more trusted than those popular one.
2493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Crypto Twitter reacted to Kim Kardashian’s $1.26M SEC fine on: October 05, 2022, 01:59:46 AM
I think its nothing to her. SEC just reminding that dont aabuse your stance or position on social media to earn money. Well its not that isnt allowed but we are talking about cryptocurrency here. She just promoted it without probably knowing what it is or at least do some background check and review of the project.

What if there are some who buys a lot and loss a lot on the process, can Kardashian be liable on that provided she told a lot of good words about the project? The only thing is crypto is decentralized its your choice to invest here. But its not the reality now. If you are in the wrong investment youll get suffer a lot.
2494  Other / Archival / Re: Q4 2022. What to expect from bitcoin? on: October 05, 2022, 01:31:03 AM
What are your expectations for the end of this year? In what price zone do you expect this year to close?
I think on Months of November and December it will start to bounce. Based on the past, these are the months that usually go up. Im noy expert on technical analysis but basic graph shows that its on consolidation and there will come a time it needs to break those hard resistance that weve been seeing these past few months. Of course Im not sure but accumulating now is good while everything is down. Well Im hoping for a good time it could recover and if not this year maybe in the next 2 yrs prior to bitcoin halving.
2495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen in the crypto war? on: October 04, 2022, 07:22:09 AM
Obvioualy government will hunt anything like tornadocash. Why? Simple crimes happened on mixers even how we can defend it. Even popular mixers except tornado are beind for laundering. Yes we have people concern on privacy thats why there is service like this. But there are people who blend and simply hiding their wrong doings with the use of these mixers. Any government would be alarm on that.
2496  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paper can easily get ruined, fast. on: October 04, 2022, 06:00:40 AM
There is no paper wallet or books that are water resistance or fire resistance, how are you protecting yourself from natural disasters that can affect your recovery seed when you wrote it down in a book, big note or paper...
Doesnt really mean you need to write it down on a piece of paper. It could be somewhere durable or anything that could withstand any possible scenarios such as flood or fire.

Therr is a simple one or lamination. But to think a very high act of hazard could happened. It alsways better to have back up. Or to be more secure then write it on paper, cover it with something strong bury it on a place no one would find or dig it below and put it there. There are some ways to remedy this, you just need to be creative and wise to protect it.
2497  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a seed phrase precisely, and why is it significant? on: October 04, 2022, 05:18:25 AM
As the name suggests, a recovery phrase acts as a password for your wallet

The seed/recovery phrase does not act as a password. It should never be used anywhere except to recover a lost or damaged wallet.
Maybe a key instead of password. Key is something you can use to unlock something. So its more appropriate term, hence password is sometimes avoid since it could misinterpreted as your password for any dapps or application youve used. Anyway knowing its important to be keep safe at all times matters.
2498  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I secluded to beginners board only for now? on: October 04, 2022, 03:08:30 AM
Am I free to comment on any other boards as I do here and also ask questions there too?

Yes you are allowed to comment and post on any boards except those with restriction or limit to such rank like serious discussion. Also you can comment on local boards of your own or if you can talk with other language maybe thats allowed sincr you can write or understand that linguisitic.

Newbies typically post on BH for such guidance so youll definitely noticed a lot of newbie posting here.
2499  Other / Meta / Re: Why forum search taking years to load on: October 03, 2022, 12:23:56 PM
Ive also think it will crash or end up with error. Since the data on such keyword especially the one youve used is probably many or have been used multiple times and common words like this probably more used than simple inquiry. Maybe add up some additional word to it to lessen the traffic when it loads.
2500  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's alright to lose and learn on: October 03, 2022, 11:10:35 AM
4. No shame in starting from scratch: using myself as an example I am starting fresh and going back to the very basics and I am not ashamed to admit that. The good news is that I am better experienced and more mature.
No need to be shamed. You dont need to impress other people to see that you made it. Someone is only doing that to make himself visible. A true crypto enthusiast doesnt need to brag anything he founded or aqcuired. Learning in crypto could be hard but if you are open to a lot of criticism and even accept that there are people who are more succesful than you then it will be okay. Remember that we have our own success story and yours are just yet to start so be patience.
