2481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: September 24, 2021, 01:08:40 PM

If Casimero will have a good win in this fight, people will forget that he did not KO Rigo based on what he predicted. It's his time to rise again, a good win (KO) will make him more popular, and the more the fans will long to see an Inoue vs Casimero fight.

I think that would be a good thing if he does that because he was so frustrated with Rigo last time. They wanted some opponent who wanted to clash with him in the middle of the ring, not just some old boxer who has some boring strategy to win the fight. Casimero was so lucky that he didn't lose that one since the other officials give the win to Rigo. I hope it will not be the case this time if he ever fights Butler and he will gonna win it sweeply.

It was a controversial fight because Casimero was not impressive in his win, when there's a Split Decision by the judges, people always have their own opinion and though it was controversial, no way they will fight again, so it's still good that Casimero won that fight, he should not fight a boring fighter as it will only affect his name and his future.
2482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 24, 2021, 11:50:27 AM
I don't bet on pre-season games. I rather put money on street games in our neighborhood since the stakes could be higher to be honest but I'm still curious to those who do. How much do you place each game? Is it a significant amount or just left over coins? Disregard the type of bet.
Not a big amount for sure as preseason game is usually to heat up or prepare for the regular season. The rookies and the bench will likely be given more minutes, they don't shoot well like the stars but at the same time the defense could also be weak, so if you consider that factor in betting then take the total instead.
2483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe BTC can be attacked? on: September 23, 2021, 11:26:59 PM
I just remembered the poly network heist, one of the biggest heist in the history.

Is there also a possibility BTC can be hacked?
If it is, I bet every currency will start to declined.
How safety BTC security for you?

Want to know veterans answers.  Undecided

It can be hacked, bitcoin is not a perfect machine not to become invulnerable to such attacks. But there is so much speculation about attackers that so far hasn't really happened. out. The attack can be done in manipulating bitcoin and making regulations about it but when we talk technically no attack can be found. Currently, bitcoin is still one of the coins with high security and especially it is decentralized, so it is very difficult to attack.
A lot of scammers  have plan to attack bitcoin but they have never succeeded because the security is very tight knowing its decentralized. Even the government also want to attack bitcoin but it will never be possible for sure. Maybe with our individual accounts, the attack are much more possible especially if the owners are not responsible with the security of their accounts. But if we know how to handle them with safety and security, then scammers will never see any chances to attack them.
2484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins as collectables in the future on: September 23, 2021, 10:53:08 PM
Like most of you guys, i have tons of shitcoins in my wallets and trying to look at it from the bright site. I was wondering, what if there will be a market for collectable early shitcoins in the far future. I am talking about rare shitcoins that left some mark in the crypto world like most notorious exit scams or hacked coins or biggest pump and dump coins or first meme coins...
I wouldnt be surprised if we see a market for those in 20 years, at least that is how i cheer myself up when i see my wallets Cheesy

You are using such thoughts to cheer yourself up, well it is good to fantasies but don't allow it to get ahead of you because, you might be disappointed in a big way. Most of these shitcoins that are abandoned or that are dead is best to be forgotten than expecting anything good from them, let me ask who will launch the market and provide the necessary liquidity, and even if such happens, there is every chance they will exit scam again.
From another angle, such shitcoins might not even see the light of the day because people are not yet done with genuine and impacting coins, not to talk of going for shitcoins that were known to be dead.
Lastly, crypto can surprise that we are sure of, but don't raise your hopes high on those abandoned coins and tokens.
Your idea might be good OP but i don't see it realistic this time as most of the shitcoins are being abandoned by their own developers because they have no value anymore. So most likely, they will not gain any attention from the community because they are already considered as dead coins, and will not be listed anymore in any exchanges. Just forget them and move on.
2485  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is a game of capital on: September 23, 2021, 08:59:13 AM
It is normal to need capital in trading but in addition to capital you need to be attentive and efficient enough. If you don't have experience You can't make a profit by trading. Moreover, another important point in trading is that excessive greed cannot be allowed.
You are right because trading is not the only way to make a profit. There are many investors who do not make a profit by investing billions of dollars but with a little capital Benefiting.
Trading is not just a game of capital because there will always no guarantee that once you invest a huge amount, you will reap a huge profits. You need to have a good trading strategies and skills too so you will have more chances of winning. And once you have that in you, you will never be afraid whether how high or even how small your capital is. One thing i am sure of, is you will have the positive outcome if you know you are doing what's the right thing to do.
2486  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: September 23, 2021, 08:23:17 AM
Money or wealth is the dream destination of many people in the world

Religion is the total believe of a group people on a particular being.
Most or everyone in the world today in which I am included believe in accumulating of wealth and making money.

More than Half of the life span of the human race is centred on making of money or wealth.

Making money legally or illegally, accumulating of wealth is the believe of most people in the world.

I stand to be corrected or cencitize

In one sense everyone tries to make money and wealth but money is not everything in another sense money can't make a pure man in the world if his own personality doesn't work for good work. But I agree money is the main goal of every people.
Money is considered the basic of our basics. I'ts relevance is incomparable since people work so hard for the sake of money, and to feed their family's needs. But money should not be considered as a religion that drives the spiritual aspect of a human.

However, there are a lot of advantages if you have the money and wealth. That's where you can be a good samaritan that is always ready to help others and a very good provider that you can sustain not just the needs of your family but you are much capable to give some willful donations especially in times of unexpected calamities that may arise.
2487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: September 23, 2021, 07:20:07 AM
The odds are now out. From FortuneJack, Terence Crawford is a heavy favorite at 1.19 and Shawn Porter the underdog at 4.83. Other bookmakers and betting platforms have yet to release their odds on this particular match.

I was somehow expecting this because Terence Crawford is the undefeated and obviously the better boxer between the two. But Shawn Porter is a good boxer that will give Crawford a hard time.

https://fortunejack.com/sportsbook?page=%2Fprematch%2Fhome%2Fevent%2F8711822

I guess the odds for Crawford is a bit overvalued, I still believe that although Porter is not anymore undefeated he has the skills to upset Crawford. I will definitely bet on Shawn Porter with that odds, and I don't mind losing it, probably a KO win also in less than 6 rounds if the odds is too attractive
2488  Other / Off-topic / Re: GGG will have a fight this year! (BOXING) on: September 23, 2021, 06:51:11 AM
Ryota Murata is not a popular boxer, only had 16 fights (https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/657422) while he loses of that fights.

This fight will be in Japan, so it's good for Ryota Murata as he is in his home-court advantage, but I doubt it will help him win because GGG will not make him last 12 rounds, most probably a KO win by GGG will be witnessed in the fight day.

I'm just impressed by the promoter of the fight as they also consider bringing the fight to Japan and Asians would be happy with that.
2489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Dogecoin survive without Elon Musk? on: September 22, 2021, 11:56:36 PM
Off a truth Elon Musk is the face of Dogecoin he made it more popular and his tweets and announcement makes the coin come out among a other altcoins, but even if Elon musk is no longer marketing and promoting Doge I think Dogecoin will survive because it's has gain alot of adoption which will be able to sustain it for a very long time. Elon has impact on it, but the coin will survive without him.

Dogecoin is an old project that still survives today, meaning that Dogecoin always has demands. So without Elon Musk promoting Dogecoin, I believe
Dogecoin will survive till now. Elon Musk just created Dogecoin hype and hit the ATH price, but if Elon Musk finally decides to leave Dogecoin,
I'm sure Dogecoin will survive. I even got to know Dogecoin in 2016, which was when I got Dogecoin from faucets. Dogecoin's long journey
in the crypto world makes Dogecoin have supporters, that's what will make Dogecoin survive.
Dogecoin has seen to have its own potentials even before but the people were not able to noticed it. It was only became popular when Elon hyped its price and eventually seeing its value keeps on surging. And now that Elon has stopped talking about dogecoin on his tweets, its value starts ceasing too. But since it has already been accepted in a wider community, its value might chances to fall but not end up as a shitcoin.
2490  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading skills on: September 22, 2021, 11:27:38 PM
From my own experience, I can say that the best option to increase the level of knowledge and experience is to work on a demo account. This can actually allow you to gain knowledge directly in the working environment. When I started working with a broker from Amarkets, I did just that.
Demo accounts do help those people that are not yet fond of trading. There's always a way to learn trading without risking your own money but once you're done, you have to play with actual money so that you'll have that experience with actual trading and with real money as you trade. But you can keep on learning with demo accounts and practice there until you think that you're already prepared to deal with the real thing and it's all about how you'll make your own strategy.
The demo account does give us experience in trading to hone your skills how to trade well, but what I feel when I'm on a demo account and a real account will still have different challenges, it will be more difficult when using real money so I think it's better with real money so you will feel the sensation for real so it won't be awkward when you are in big money, but still for the beginning we have to be in low money to reduce risk.
So every experience must be properly applicable to real trading, no matter how experience is your learning.
Demo trading account is helpful for new players looking to grow their skills and experience, but again it does not guarantee real-time trading skills in some cases and different exchanges with their unique trading accounts features.
I think its best to be knowledgeable on the market first and know all its basics before indulging into the real field of trading. It will give you more advantages to some newbies who only trade and often resulted into losses. And might be very helpful if you have this demo trading account as it will teach you in some ways that a real trader should know. And of course, gaining experience in trading that will teach you the most and help you build your own strategies that will only work on you.
2491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Future? on: September 22, 2021, 06:07:50 PM
Every market has its ups and down, bitcoin went through the same phase in 2018 but look how quickly it recovered. 2021 wasn't bad either. Yes people like Elon used their influence not in the right way that resulted in this plunge. But the future seems bright.

No one is guaranteed about the bitcoin future as we saw earlier that after 2 years Bitcoin price pumped and cross the $50k but now it's again down to the price of $35k and still the market trend is not confirmed.
But we people understand how bitcoin popularity spreading in the decade for past a few years and giant companies accepted bitcoin. Bitcoin dumped 3k$ back in 2018 and how it will cross 50k$ in 2021? you can think for the 10 years in future.
Bitcoin has been a roller coaster in the past 10 years and with no doubt, bitcoin comes to increase its value in every passing year. So from there, its credibility has been proven a lot of times. And with bigger institutions and some developing countries who are now behind bitcoin, then i can say that there is more probability that it will eventually grow more. Just keep the faith because there's more way to go before it will become a mainstream.
2492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SOL is already $144, can still buy it? on: September 22, 2021, 04:31:14 PM
of course you can buy it and also now the market is in a down condition, so this is a good opportunity to buy, but we don't know for sure when this decline will end.and will start bouncing up. so you should analyze the market, or ask the experts but if for the long term then there is nothing you need to worry about.
As we keep on seeing bitcoin continue to decline, then we will see more altcoins or meme coins price declining too. As well with Solana which is experiencing also its price going to the dip. Well, this is definitely a good time to place buy order particularly for those coins who have potentials to recover. We can only witness then for the market to start recovering if bitcoin starts to surge again and by then, we can witness altcoins to bounce back too.
2493  Economy / Economics / Re: Why would people ever use bitcoin if its expected to always go up? on: September 22, 2021, 08:05:09 AM
Each person has different living conditions/economic conditions, and of course this has something to do with their living conditions, some are after it for profit in investing, trading, and some are making it a steady income which of course is done with certain efforts. I think the demand will indeed increase, and Bitcoin price is indeed more likely to increase, but not everyone is only focused on investing their money in long-term profits in Bitcoin, on the other hand... Bitcoin has become a means of payment, I think this does continue to fluctuate because of the large number of the different activities carried out within the Bitcoin sphere itself.
Bitcoin is purely based on its demand and supply. If you see the price increases, its because there are more of its consumers or users are using it for investment or for payment purposes. And i don't think we will live our entire life investing the whole time. People will definitely end up using their bitcoins either just to enjoy the profits or use it for some uncontrolled emergency events. Its a matter of choice anyways. And bitcoin will definitely not become stabilized because its nature will always be highly volatile.

2494  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Continuously Loosing money in Trading!!!! on: September 21, 2021, 11:50:21 PM
I think if a particular strategy is not working again them I believe you should change it, maybe due to current market situation that's why your strategy is no more functional
True. His trading strategy doesn't work well anymore. Not sure what his trading strategy is, but if it is no longer effective then should be changed. The current market situation may be one of the reasons leading to the ineffectiveness of a particular trading strategy. I recently changes my trading strategy and my goal in trading. Now, I set lower profits and only holding 1-2 days after I bought a coin.

When you trade, you are open to profits and losses of course. But if you do trading and just keeping losses within that 2 long years, i must say its very alarming already. There is something wrong with how you trade or the strategy you are using. Try to work on it and definitely change your strategy and observe if it will change your status. If you still lose every now and then, maybe its not with your strategy, but the problem is you. Give yourself a me time and try to figure things out why do you keep on losing. Don't just update your strategy, but change your behavior as it is also a big factor to be successful in trading. Changes are inevitable so learn to adopt with it too.
2495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crash or new sunrise of crypto on: September 21, 2021, 09:26:03 PM
the crypto market is unpredictable, sometimes it goes up or down and this has happened a long time ago. we just need to deal with it well in order to protect our assets. after a crash there will be a bright spot in it so we just need to wait for time to be able to get that bright spot. It's also not an easy thing to be able to follow the crypto market, even for people who are mentally unprepared it will be hard. we have to believe that the time of light will come and it does take time to wait for it, we just need to be more patient.

The cryptocurrency market is very volatile. Therefore, only experienced people who have been engaged in earning cryptocurrencies for a long time can predict its behavior. We should all follow the laws of the cryptocurrency market and try to adapt to them in order to achieve good success with small capital losses. But you need to be very careful and patient to succeed.
I will say that even people that have been here for a long time and obtained profits cannot really predict what is going to happen, the market is simply too volatile and unpredictable for this to happen, the good news is that this is not necessary, the only thing you need to do to become a successful bitcoin investor is to buy it and then hold your coins, I know this can be difficult to do during a crash but if you can endure it then you are surely going to get profits as it has been the case of all of the people that were capable of doing exactly that.
With bitcoin, there's no problem even if it show any price fall back, as long as you are holding it for long term, then it will still be profitable in the long run. We will only find it hard holding long term for altcoins because while others tend to recover after every dip, some may eventually fall into dead coins. So there's no easy way we can predict the market bull or bear season. The market will never stop its price fluctuations, but if we are holding coins with great potentials to grow in the future, then the volatility of the market will never be an issue.
2496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Should be in Syllabus of Students? on: September 20, 2021, 11:16:30 PM
It may be not as easy as we think if we are going to add something to the syllabus. It should be under the law or Euridice of the country, especially related to the educational institution and regulation.
And we must also know what kind of students are they?
I don't think that it is for Senior high school and under.
But it may be for college students. Moreover, if there are some relations to the technology.
We know that crypto is very promising. BUt we also know that crypto may be also too risky for those who are not ready yet for crypto and don't know about it exactly.
It will be more appropriate for college students because it will be a preparation for their career after college. But i think  investing and finance are just related to it so it can  still give the students some ideas about investing in virtual currencies. This might confuse some students particularly for those who have not heard cryptocurrency since they have always believed that its only fiat that can be good for payment system.

However, young generations today are more resourceful and would explore a lot of things in front of their monitor or android phones so it will not be hard for them to research more ideas about cryptos. And everything is possible with goggle because it will give them more videos and demonstrations that will be more easy to learn than just relying with an old school professor.

2498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legalization. In Ukraine and now Laos on: September 17, 2021, 04:14:29 PM
Quote
"From now until 2025, Vietnam will purchase 3,000 MW of electricity from Laos at a price of 6.95 U.S. cents per kWh. It is expected that the amount of electricity sold to Vietnam will rise to 5,000 MW between 2026 and 2030, with the price to be re-determined," he said.

Laos is simply selling energy at 7 cents per kWh, directly to a country, clear contracts, why should they offer it cheaper to some miners that might not pay a dime on profit, maybe even not pay their bills on time and also flee next day if a better opportunity arises or go outright bankrupt. On the other side, why would a miner go to Laos if they can have better rates in other countries where they are not required to first ask for a license to mine on top of every other documents.

Very useful information.
Laos is making a wise move. Maybe this is their new policy for miners. As far as I know, the Chinese live in Laos and make up the majority here. This will attract miners in China to move in without having to travel far.
Laos has changed its policy since September 9 allowing six companies to mine and trade bitcoin on a trial run. This is really a wise move for Laos because its own place is definitely one of the most hydropower resource rich countries in Asia so its really ideal for a profitable and sustainable bitcoin mining.

And knowing Chinese are the majority residents in  Laos so this this will be a perfect time for miners in China to move into Laos where bitcoin mining and trading is fully supported by the government.
2499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zimbabwe minister urges citizens to embrace Bitcoin on: September 17, 2021, 03:30:02 PM
It's just about urging and encouragement and I think there's nothing wrong with it. Although their country is also dealing with other important matters.

Just like the people in Venezuela that are surviving because of bitcoin or with crypto in general, this should also be a big help to them when their citizens become knowledgeable about it as an investment and if they learn how to effectively trade it.
Zimbabwe is in struggle to save their economy from its high inflation that has even increased this time. And maybe just like El Salvador who find bitcoin a solution to their problem, then probably it will not be surprising anymore if Zimbabwe will be the newest country to adopt bitcoin as a legal tender. The Prime Minister has been a pro crypto ever since so if he takes this chance to encourage citizens to accept and adopt crypto, then in less than a year or two, its country's economy will definitely recover.
2500  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that it is said that South Korea will close many trading platforms in on: September 17, 2021, 02:53:03 PM
I don't know if it is true that South Korea will close Cryptocurrency exchange but what I do know is that a Cryptocurrency exchange that I use regularly which is based in South Korea sent me an email advising that I withdraw all my asset from the exchange as they have been instructed by the government to close down their exchange! I think in every rumour,  there is an iota of truth!
This news is definitely legit. South Korea requires all crypto exchanges to acquire a license from Financial Intelligence Unit because this is part of the country's regulation. And will also have to partner with banks to continue their operation. But based on the news, it seems that only 28 out of 66 identified crypto exchanges meet the requirements for a license so most likely, those smaller crypto exchanges who don't have the license will be closed. And this news might totally saddened all the crypto traders in South Korea.
