2481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Shakur Stevenson on: October 01, 2021, 12:03:41 PM
Both fighters are tough. Their statistics speak for them. With 23 wins for Herring and 16 for Shakur. I expect Shakur to win, his young and still got a lot more to prove despite being the No. 2 in the featherweight division, Herring is also on top of his game and shouldn't be taken for granted.
We can't let the youthfulness of Shakur fool us when it comes to this fight, Herring is more experienced and isn't he from the military too? Pretty sure that the endurance and experience will play a big factor in this match.
If we don't like to get fooled and believe that Jamel Herring will win this fight, then we should take the opportunity to bet on him to get a high odds.
https://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/jamel-herring-v-shakur-stevenson/winner

As you can see, in most bookies, Jamel Herring is +400.

That's very attractive, there's no reason not to bet on Jamel Herring if we believe in his training and being a former us marine. A young fighter against an experienced fighter, who would you choose? I guess we should go with a more veteran fighter although not undefeated, and the two losses of Jamel Herring were during the early stage of his career.

Yeah, it's really hard to decide right now, the experience of Herring and this total package, he is the taller and have the reach advantage. On the other side, Shakur Stevenson is young and brandish like Casimero and wanted to take all the challenge including calling out Oscar Valdez.

But if Herring is +400, then it might be a good bet if he can executed a perfect game plan of using his reach and jab in the distance and not allow Shakur to throw that body punch which is one of his best weapon.

Well, of course, it's always fun to back the underdog especially if we believe that he has a chance to win, that +400 is a gift, and if we believe that Herring would win, we won't feel bad even if we lose because we did not just follow what other people say, we made our own research and we are confident with our pick.

Sometimes bookies make mistakes in making betting odds, and if a bettor would not make research, they would assume that the heavy favorites will win easily.
2482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 01, 2021, 06:52:22 AM
Carmelo can be a plug and play type of guy. He will get you buckets, guaranteed, but he'll probably be replaced if he's cold.
That's the thing, he is not as consistent as he was before, we can understand because he is not the star player now like he used to be when he was still playing with the New York Knicks. Time changes, but at least Melo was given a chance to get signed, first with Blazers and now with the Lakers. Who knows, if he wins a championship here he will decide to retire, at least he was a champion when he retired.
2483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: October 01, 2021, 06:18:14 AM
Carlos Caraballo is undefeated and is definitely going to be a threat to Jonas Sultan. Both fighters have shown impressive performance in their last matches. Caraballo has a good rhythm I like. However, Sultan should not be overlooked or underestimated his got a lot to prove in this match.
He will not underestimate, in fact, he will train more as his opponent is not an easy one. Based on Garaballo's record, he beat all his opponents via KO.

He is 14-0 with 14 KO (https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/773544)
Might be a little number of fights only, but that 14 KO is very impressive as only a few boxers have done that.

It might be very impressive on papers, but all he has beaten is not well recognized, or least have a bad records already. So if he steps up against Sultan is a big challenge for him to continue his winning streak. And Sultan hasn't lost on a knock out, all his defeat is by decision. So Caraballo needs to knock out this guy to continue his hype around his weight class. Otherwise if he losses, I would say that he is over rated and over hype. So if there is someone that needs not to underestimate, it is Caraballo because the pressure is on him.
I believe it will be the case because Sultan will not easily give up his dreams to get bigger fights in the future, and Sultan knows what when he will lose, he he will have to build his name again to be popular, and with the big contribution in the boxing world in terms of market, a rising boxer can't afford to lose.
2484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE CRYPTO MARKET IS SO RICH AND SATURATED on: September 30, 2021, 11:59:13 PM
And some people are holding on to the dream that btc will crash to 20k - 25k in this period, so every little dip that occur in the market they will be hoping for a crash that may never come, btc already past that level where it can crash to that low, too many good things happening in crypto space now enough to sustain the price and prevent it from falling so low, now it can only grow more higher.
We are on our way almost reaching the bitcoin's new all time high but if there will be sudden crash in crypto, then the market value will drop again. But i don't think we will reach to that point of returning into the price range of $20k-$25k. That will be a long waiting game. And i don't think it will still be possible in the years to follow.

However, the market is rich and saturated so whatever circumstances that may happen along the way, it will never stay in dips but will always recover and moves forward because that will be its trend, to keep on increasing not just for their value alone for the adoption too.
2485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't speculation and volatility a problem for Bitcoin? on: September 30, 2021, 10:40:14 PM
Isn't speculation and volatility a problem for Bitcoin?
The two are something different. For its volatility, it will be a problem for people who only expect about rising price again and again without any correction. And if there is no volatility, it means it is like stablecoin, well, we may not be able to see the skyrocket of Bitcoin price.
But on the contrary for the daily traders, scalpers, investors, no, exactly, volatility of Bitcoin is not a problem, except they are panickers.

And about speculation, it will be a matter if we only speculate about something without any analysis. We are here about prediction and speculation, but how we speculate and predict will determine the results. There is no 100% speculation and prediction that are right.
Speculation and the market's volatility will never be a problem, but for weak hands it will always be. If you have been here in the market for long, you will probably discover that speculation and volatility are even the reasons why the market is still alive. These what make all the investors get thrilled and excited whatever the result it causes to the market. Either it gives a bullish or a bearish trend, it will not be a problem because long term traders will always turned it into an opportunity to makes profits. Strong hands make it a way to be even more profitable, while weak hands often lose from this market's speculation and volatility.
2486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] JOSHUA vs USYK on: September 30, 2021, 01:24:35 PM

Wilder will have to let go of his emotions first before he will be able to put up a fight against Fury the way he did the first time they met. Their first match was the perfect opportunity for Wilder. And he failed it. This third match is now easier on the part of Fury. Wilder is emotionally and psychologically beaten. I hope he's already gone past his excuses and emotional breakdown and start coming out as a fresh fighter. He'll have a chance this way.

But I'm still predicting a Fury vs Usyk fight in the months to come.

Wilder should learn from the Joshua - Usyk fight even if you are the stronger fighter if you are fighting who knows how to frustrate you, how to hit and not get hit and has the stamina to move around and make you look clumsy then you are in trouble, in his coming fight against Fury he will be a victim of relying on power just like Joshua who waited for a big punch that he can land that never came.
Joshua does not easily upset, he has an undefeated record and lost against Ortiz, but it did not stop him, instead, he train harder to correct his mistakes and win convincingly in the rematch, and therefore I would not be surprised if he will win again against Usyk once a rematch is set.

On the other hand, we have Wilder who can't seem to move on his past loss against Fury, I think he should clear his mind so he could focus on the trilogy and find a way to beat Fury, it's not impossible though if he will try to play using a different strategy.

2488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China says all crypto transaction are illegal on: September 30, 2021, 09:13:20 AM
Any transactions involving crypto are now deemed to be criminal financial activity. The bank told financial and internet companies to stop allowing crypto trades on their platforms. Foreign exchanges are banned from providing services to Chinese residents too. It very sad, china always doing the bad things to cryptocurrency and ruined our party.
My sympathy is on the residents of China that are finding it more difficult for now to transact in exchanges or otherwise, they may be sanctioned. But as we all know, China has been very impulsive on their decisions so whatever comes out today, they might regret it in the future. And probably China will have to change its laws again that prohibits crypto.

However, as for the residents in China, they might hold their coins for long, or maybe sell them in other countries wherein crypto is legal.
2489  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand the market in advance on: September 29, 2021, 10:57:35 PM
For me, the only way to understand the market is through experience. Without experience, getting a positive result will be much more difficult, really.

That makes sense. I just have to say to OP that lurking every day in the crypto market will automatically feed our minds. Reading technical analysis can't be learned by new ones that quickly and easily without them engaging in the actual scene. Technical analysis are not meant to predict what will happen accurately but will just give us some possible cases that will happen next.

OP can also consider reading speculations and predictions and try to analyze the supporting factors why those predictions were formed. Just have to take note too that even professional ones are losing today even how experienced they are. That's how unpredictable the crypto market is.
I must agree on you when say experience is still the most accurate way on how to understand the market in advance. Although there is no way we can understand the market perfectly because of its volatility, but through experience we will be able to learn more on what is really happening in the crypto market. And with various experiences that will also give us varied lessons to learned to help us understand the market more. There are also those fundamental and technical analysis that are also helpful in understanding in the market and you will learn them easier with as you go on with your experiences.
2490  Economy / Economics / Re: Gavin Andresen prediction for Bitcoin in 2061 on: September 29, 2021, 06:13:00 PM
hard to say Gavin is an idiot when he talks about his predictions on bitcoin future, anyway I respect his opinion.  some of the predictions that Gavin used to say might be wrong but at least it will get there.  I hope bitcoin will be $6 million dollars in 2061 because I plan to pass my bitcoins to my children for their retirement funds.. Grin
Well, we'll only get to know it once we're there. But honestly, i think Gavin Andresen has his own way of thinking that is quite unique from us. Who would have thought that in the end, all of these coins and tokens we have seen right now will only end up in the hands of whales, exchanges and banks. I know we are free to create our own predictions and speculations but i just can't believe that in the end, based on Gavin Andresen, we are left with nothing. Well, i respect his post, its just that its not giving me a positive vibes.
2491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum reach $5,000 by 2021? on: September 28, 2021, 11:58:41 PM
Eth is good and nice long term choice. Regarding price till this year I am not so sure. 5000 is possible but depends of btc i think and when will 2.0. be released. Many speculation we have now, hard to predict price. But next year will be great for eth sure.
One thing i am certain, it will eventually reach $5k this year if bitcoin will never experience some serious huge dumps that will cause the market to crash. Because if not, most likely we will end this year witnessing a new ATH for bitcoin and ethereum. And that will definitely make the whole crypto market bullish again.

However, we cannot say this is sure to happen as there might be sudden negative attacks that will cause the market to dump. If ethereum will not be able to make it up this year, then we still have another year to come that will definitely make the crypto market a roller coaster ride from the start until its year end.
2492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you sell ethereum and btc to buy Solana/SOL? on: September 28, 2021, 10:48:54 PM
I think you can sell ethereum to buy solana and it might be long term or short term whatever, that is profitable strategy i think.
Btc is future gem in strong hand, i don't think you should to sell btc to buy instead of solana or any token.
solona is still very new. sometimes people feel hesitant to enter solona. that's because the hype is very strong, especially for a project that sells with the solona network. they soon found a good market.
if have more ETH I guess it's ok to share it with solona to keep up with the market hype. quite an attractive strategy for short profits. because solona is still a lot of development.
I'm not totally convinced selling some of my bitcoin and ethereum for Solana. So i won't have to deal with it and all its ups and downs. I'd rather focus on acquiring more bitcoin and ethereum when there are sudden dips than taking the risk of investing into an altcoin that has still no guarantee that it will also be a promising gem in the near future. Other people might take the risk of investing into it but never will i take that risk too unless it will make sense to me why i have to invest it because of its own worth and not just the hype that controls its value.
2493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Gold: Superiority on: September 28, 2021, 03:41:59 PM
Bitcoin and gold are equally profitable when we invest, many people invest in gold because they think saving gold in the long term can be profitable and people who invest in bitcoin they conclude that currently bitcoin is one of the most valuable assets in the future so they store bitcoin in the long term long means that they will reap profits in the future and there are also those who save bitcoins for their children and grandchildren using bitcoins as inheritance for their families.
Yes, they are both profitable but the amount of profits is different. Investors are now looking forward to invest more in bitcoin because the profits is incomparably huge than gold investment. I think people just can't get rid of gold because its a traditional investment that has even brought to this modern times. And since the value is more stable than bitcoin which is highly volatile, so it cannot be easily replaced by another investment. So if that is the case, then we can have them both for long term investments. Its not a matter of superiority, but it all matters on the profits and benefits that it can give.
2494  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be too desperate to make earning on: September 28, 2021, 01:41:51 PM
In my point of view, you should only get money if you acquire patience. Tolerance is the most important thing in trading and in many other aspects of lives. If you rush to earn money in short time of period, then it will become difficult to earn money. Because your mind cannot think good and reliable in short time. Trading needs time. You must concentrate on your strategies and trading plans. Don't be in a hurry to make money. It can lead you to loss money.
Trading is something that you have to work out to develop your own strategies and skills and it will only be possible if you have the positive mindset and patience. And being rush in seeing your profits has no place in trading because a good trader will always have to wait for the right timing, otherwise you'll end up losing. There may be long term and short term traders and they are both profitable if they will always go with the right coins and with the perfect timing when to sell. If you are not good in waiting, don't bother to trade.
2495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Im going to buy solana at 80$ on: September 27, 2021, 11:33:45 PM
Yeah as explained by other forum members, we highly likely missed the train but you can wait for the correction on charts before going to buy in batches. The potential of SOL is well-known by gem hunters so I doubt you will be disappointed in the long-term investing but never put all eggs in the single basket for your own safety.
Don't forget the volatility, the market can go down in few minutes and your trades will be underwater for a long time. So trade with caution and invest in the right choices unless you have a huge trading capital to manage. The SOL and other alternative NFT tokens have huge potential if you can make the right investment decisions.
SOL has its own potentials that is most likely to create more value when holding it as an investment. But looking at its current price, i think its not suitable to buy it right now. Yes, $80 will be more ideal to buy but it will be a long waiting game for you knowing SOL today is still $100 plus. Unless the market will experience a price correction, then SOL price will eventually drop.

However, if you have high hopes that SOL will be the biggest investment in the future, then why not take the risk of investing right now. After all, you are for long term holding so it won't be a big loss for you anyway.
2496  Economy / Economics / Re: How has inflation affected your savings and investing? on: September 27, 2021, 09:06:55 AM
Inflation does affect people's savings. Many countries in the world have experienced inflationary economic problems. When inflation occurs the legal currency will depreciate and savings will decrease. At this time, the price of goods will also rise, so you have to spend more money to buy things. Consumer spending must be increased to meet daily needs. It is possible to protect funds from inflation by investing in Bitcoin.
Yes. Investing into bitcoin might be a good option to divert inflation into deflation rather. And especially in this time of pandemic, where the people have almost lost their jobs so its hard to earn a living, and yet the prices of common commodities are much affected with this high surging inflation.

I myself has been affected with this, i guess everyone else, so i have to keep my expenses tight so i can still cater to all my necessities in life. My savings and investments finances were affected so what i did now is eliminate all the unnecessary expenses and focus on bitcoin which i think will definitely give me the huge profits when the price is at its peak. And once i start making profits, that's the time i have to diversify my investments to maximize my profits as much as possible.
2497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The difficulty of explaining Bitcoin to people is massive on: September 27, 2021, 08:27:16 AM
It is really difficult to explain Bitcoin, but it is even more difficult to accept Bitcoin. Personally, accepting Bitcoin consumes a very large amount of my experience. During this time, I searched the Internet for knowledge about Bitcoin, and the results were indeed mixed. The main reason for this problem is that it is too difficult to obtain knowledge related to Bitcoin. If it weren't for someone I particularly trust told me what Bitcoin is, I might not understand it at all.
I can attest to that. Bitcoin is definitely a broad one and if you just keep reading its articles, it might be very hard to understand. Demonstrations and videos will definitely help if you have the willingness to learn. Its just that the learning will be easier if someone will be able to guide you.

There are really instances that some friends of mine will ask about bitcoin and how its becoming so profitable these days. I just tell them to that bitcoin has definitely high potentials to function as a currency and at the same time a good investment. And advise them to just google the rest so that they will have a full idea on what is bitcoin really is.
2498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin a threat to China? Is China deliberately imposing sanction on BTC on: September 26, 2021, 11:45:39 PM
China wants to make their digital Yuan as their reserve currency of this world that is the reason why they are banning the decentralized cryptos which will become a threat to their centralized digital money in the future but they don't have any plans to let the US dollars down but they're just waiting for it to happen since covid and further economic crisis all around the world.
I also believe that this is the main reason why bitcoin continues to threaten China because the Chinese Communist Party have big fears that if they won't give sanction to all bitcoin users, it will reach to the extent that the whole China population will be covered mostly by crypto enthusiasts and that will make their own digital currency to collapse.  And knowing how selfish China is, they won't let other currencies to conquer their own country just because bitcoin has almost reached its borderless transactions that makes China even more threaten about it.

2500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 24, 2021, 08:19:07 PM
I have a feeling that Luka will win the season MVP, Durant will still play like he usually does, but having Harden and Irving in the same roster, that will divide the production while on the other hand, Luka could easily make a triple-double every game.
Great analysis, sorry I forgot that fact. Division of production. But it was the same thing at Olympics and he was with offensive players but they are still depending on him.
So, it could be Joker again or Luka stepping up his game one more notch. He is the third in my list after Jokic and I didn't even consider Giannis as Jrue is also getting better and there's Middleton.
Jokic @15.20
Giannis @7.45
It looks like there's still a lot of doubts about Joker's skill set.  Grin

Joker will have Jamal back so the production will also be divided between him and Jamal.

While with Luka, if KP will play the same way he's production is more likely an MVP contender,
but I am also looking for KD to win one for himself while playing with the Nets.

Also, Curry, LeBron and Giannis and all the rest of stars have the same goals trying to add
this title to their resume.

Still, far to conclude but bookies already have their odds and if you have your early pick, placing
your bet now will give you better amount to win.

Exactly, Jamal is one of their main stars so he would also contribute on points and that will lessen the stats of Jokic. Not only Jamal actually, Aaron Gordon was also given a good amount for his contract extension with the Nuggets, so probably he will also improve this season.

last season with Denver, he only averaged 10.2 PPG _ https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/g/gordoaa01.html
Lower numbers compared when he was with the Orlando Magic.
