2501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Grow my Bitcoins. on: July 08, 2016, 01:12:41 PM
Investment is always a reliable option.

I suggest planting the Bitcoin in a rich, loamy soil, taking care that the roots remain largely undisturbed during the transplant process. After packing the soil firmly around the rootballs, water the bitcoin into its new pot and place it into full sunlight for at least 5 hours a day. Your bitcoin will grow quickly with adequate moisture.
2502  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: July 08, 2016, 01:06:27 PM
First you need to get all the online retailers to start accepting bitcoins and then spreading the word out in the local business industry. Maybe workshops and seminars might help with this, online you can stream a seminar on youtube or any other video streaming site and out in the public you can invite people from the business industry to attend too.

I also think that we first need to have a lot more online stores accepting the bitcoin only on that we can also encourage other locally company's.
The bitcoin also needs to get more used before this is gonna happen!
yes that is also a fact. and our area that is such a difficult job i think because in our are the local business men are mostly ignorant and they do not have any idea about computer and internet. they also have no idea about bitcoin. so it is really a difficult job.
you might be right, but i think i would say it other way.
They are ignorant, but you need to not forget about that it is not probably worth to launch something like this,if their client's even dont ask about bitcoin, why should they do something like this? stupid idea right? hahaha

This. After a while, they asked merchants that had started accepting bitcoin how many customers were still paying in bitcoin. It seems after an initial burst of spending, the novelty wears off and people go back to spending fiat. This was seen in UK, and that little town that had the 'bitcoin bowl'.
2503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why Etherium price is decreasing day by day ? on: July 08, 2016, 12:59:33 PM
Well i think it is because of DAO issue thats why the price is decreasing day by day and also thats why the price is decreasing its because ethereum investors are converting their eth to bitcoin because block halving is nearly come..

I do not think the Ethereum holders are converting the eth to bitcoin. If so, the bitcoin price would not drop 10% yesterday.

I could imagine that it is the other way round. Btc users are converting into ether, at least the next few days. Till after halving.
To avoid the uncertainty of the upcoming halving.
This could give ether another push!

Given all the coins in this space, ether might literally at the moment the most uncertain bet you can place your value into. If I had to choose between a halving event that has already elevated the price from 450 to 650, or a hacking event that has recently devalued a coin from 20 to 10 dollars, hell, I want the first choice.

TLDR: ether is not a 'haven' asset for bitcoin holders, ESP in its present condition.

It's like acknowledging the uncertainty of the Halving, but ignoring the elephant shaped Ethereum hard fork in the room.
2504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: July 08, 2016, 12:51:37 PM

Ether is too big to fail because its premise hold endless opportunities and benifits. Understand the business and you will understand the product! Understand the product and you too will invest with knowledge, not forum gossip.

Nothing is too big to fail. Observe the past American housing market, or banking industry. I'm pretty sure those guys percieved themselves as 'too big to fail', right up to the Congressional hearing.  And we are talking about serious market capitalizations.
2505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: July 08, 2016, 12:46:30 PM

People shill BTC everywhere FFS. Look at r0ach and all the Spoetniktard gang. Anyway how many times has BTC been declared dead. ETH development is just following the same pattern with one critical exception ETH has a fantastic community spirit.

Those Ethereum trolls do not control the mining power to destroy the Ethereum. So it is very fortunate.

Roach and Spoet definitely aren't shilling btc. If anything, they might be hyper critical of some of the alts and offerings, but shill they are not, at least currently. Can't speak to historical posts. The huge difference between this and btc is that this happened very early in the coins life, and that this is a caveat of poor programming, not of theft/mismanagement/fraud, which are people with bitcoin issues, not bitcoin issues. I don't think eth is a bad idea. I think it's a risky investment at the moment that the majority of us shouldn't ass with for lack of investor experience.
2506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH being dumped now! on: July 08, 2016, 12:33:08 PM
I think the bitcoin price will rise a lot after the block size issue is resolved. But Ethereum is a different story.

That could be true. The Etherum developers have to do a lot of work to win the trust of the investor/users again.

Also after they get back the Ethereum from the hacked DAO, they should hold them for the long term, and do not dump.

I don't think this is the case. Why hold this asset, knowing at the very least it's going to be cheaper in the immediate future? Smart money says sell now, and rebuy in the dip. Also, we are not considering if a large dumping entity might possibly cause a panic.
2507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Soon Back To Sub 1 Dollar on: July 08, 2016, 12:26:49 PM
All time low since ipo (May/APR 16) was less than $7.50.

- If Ether goes down, then the possible hacker is losing too
- The best solution is to show some respect and give those coins back -> then soft fork

If the Ethereum price drop to that level, and bounce back, that could be a good sign for the future price.

If Ethereum drops to this level, below it at least, this will actually be a sign of extreme loss of confidence in this asset. Even from the speculative camp. It's been holding 9 with all this uncertainty, to lose two additional dollars on stale news would be surprising but not impossible. This DAO shit has shown me anything is possible  Grin Specifically if it pops back up, Id be wary of the dead cat.
2508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAO Fail!! Sell or hodl? on: July 08, 2016, 12:19:45 PM
I sold Everything! Angry

Exactly, and this is what we think will happen en masse as soon as everything is forked. As soon as people get their coins/value back, the majority of folks are most likely going to USD or btc. Consequently, the price is gonna tank again, but most likely without that odd 'I refuse to die' hovering price action this time.
2509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Reality on: July 07, 2016, 01:43:11 PM
I think the speculative value will elevate it above 10 eventually,  not so much production cost, but as I said yesterday, ETH will be sub 10 until the fork fork fiasco. We will see the greatest volatility right before or after the hard fork. I would be surprised if we stayed at 7 for more than a day/a few days; guys have been zany about holding this asset and I don't think that's changed. But now that the market isn't being propped up, we are starting to see the decline that I was expecting closer to the original bad news.
2510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: July 07, 2016, 01:35:34 PM
DAO will recover along with ETH. Buy when its at rock bottom, buy up, then sit and wait. $$$$$$$$
Bitcoin was once in bad shape for the first couple of years, Up and Down Side to Side. Ether is smart and so is DAO. They just need more time. However..... ETH and DAO are not day trading currencies.  You will become very wealth if you buy into ETH/DAO now and park it for 5 years!

I just don't think the DAO will actually recover. Why would anyone trust something, that was so catastrophically broken that it costs millions of dollars? As you have said, eth over long term, but otherwise, these assets aren't going anywhere too soon.

I agree. If you are after a profit sooner rather than later. DONT buy into eth or dao. But if you can afford a couple of hundred dollars to throw into a eth/dao wallet and forget about it for a while..... DO IT.

The DAO/Ethereum is very risky business. It is for speculation only at the moment. If you have extra money, buy some.

But not yet. Id wait til right before the fork, or right after it. The price is entirely too unstable at the moment, as previously said.

I might enter the market a few weeks after the hard fork. Things might settle down during that period.

The price is low due to the bitcoin shills. But the bitcoin price is also dropping at the moment. They are destroying both.

Observe the current price of ETH. No one is shilling at you, because many of us have been saying the same shit for months at this point. These are observations on reality. Eth price and btc price aren't directly correlated.

Typically, people don't shill bitcoin on a bitcoin board. Remember, eth is the alt here Smiley
2511  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: July 07, 2016, 02:45:10 AM
I don't think the current financial system is at all threatened by bitcoin. Should bitcoin threaten a major currency, I'm pretty sure its government (not the bank) will step in and regulate the hell out of it. Plainly said, at the moment there isn't enough money in bitcoin to affect the traditional banking system. Eventually, but not now.
2512  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CLDmine is a scam on: July 07, 2016, 02:30:20 AM
Cloud mining is entirely too risky to be profitable; legit companies or no. They wouldn't sell you the miners if they could make more money mining themselves. They are getting paid for mining today that you will do, at an uncertain difficulty, tomorrow. The fact that half these companies aren't even legit is just icing on the cake. Given how hard it is to do diligence on these companies, ID look elsewhere for returns.
2513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you support ICOs? on: July 07, 2016, 12:06:35 AM
No, Because mostly is pure SCAM.

Lol, I was about to come in here and be blunt like this, but you beat me to the punch. I figure, if the asset were that awesome, we would have never heard about it because some company that sees its worth would have came and snapped it up. So the fact that they have to rely on the public for VC, instead of institutional VC, makes me feel some of this is simply too bleeding edge to be a sound investment.
2514  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Signature Campaign on: July 06, 2016, 10:16:12 PM
But, as you can see, the Sig campaign brings out the not so great side of alot of cats on this forum. If you accept a Sig, you will field a fair bit of hate from the board participants that don't look too highly upon the effect the campaigns have had on the general quality if the boards. This may bother you, I suggest they go jump from a high place. And everyone feels warm and fuzzy.
2515  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Signature Campaign on: July 06, 2016, 10:13:13 PM
I'd suggest Yobit. Despite delays, they always manage to pay out, and the payouts are automated (self initiated, but automated nonetheless). You will need to have s decent posting history, I think they just moved the starting rank requirement beyond newbie. But if you like to post, and have cogent contributions, why not get that literal penny for your thoughts?
2516  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashOcean Down? on: July 06, 2016, 10:07:04 PM
HashOcean really fucked it up, they scammed us all and I think that we have to do something about it.
I hope the FBI is gonna investigate this because its just insane these criminals has to be behind bars..

File complaints in your local jurisdiction; if enough jurisdictions contact the FBI regarding the issue, it will become a priority Grin

How did you just now discover this? That was weeks ago, Charlie Murphy!
2517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had suddenly 500 BTC on: July 06, 2016, 10:00:21 PM
How would you transfer the btc to your bank account without making the Banks / OECD /  ask questions?

And even if you get cash from localbitcoins someday the efforoties may ask you from where this car or how you bought this house..
What would you do ?

This is the definition of laundering money, ROFL. What criminals learned long ago is that it's easier to just spend the got money, instead of trying to legitamize it. Pay your bills and life expenses with the bitcoin, converted to cash via peer to peer exchange, and save your wages. No one can get mad at you for saving your paychecks.

If you found this useful, since you may have copious amounts of money, send me some. I am not kidding. I have more cogent advice where that came from.
2518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Really End World Poverty? on: July 06, 2016, 09:56:00 PM
No bitcoin by itself can't end world poverty. It can be a useful tool when distance - internet jobs get quite common. In other words internet may help people make some money with btc being the tool. Although ,that would be far in the future.

+1

Bitcoin is more of a tool to facilitate change. With easier money remittance, we can move wealth around the globe faster and cheaper, eliminating the middleman Smiley easier for workers to send money back home, people can work in remote markets but still provide support to geographically distant dependants.Greed is the reason for poverty; until human nature changes, we will always fight things like this as a society. Think of it as growing pains Grin
2519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do to get bitcoins? on: July 06, 2016, 09:51:25 PM
You could do things for bitcoin that your mother wouldn't be proud of.

Go on. We aren't judging, and we won't tell anyone.
2520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When can we buy fried chickens with bitcoin. on: July 06, 2016, 09:50:18 PM
Purchase a Gyft card, purchase a Walmart card via Gyft with that, and purchase all the fried chicken you can eat without stroking out.

That was easy. And sounds delicious.
