2502  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 17, 2014, 01:53:00 PM
Looks like Bitmine will stop shipping its Rev.2 systems.

http://bitmine.ch/?p=5402

Same kind of system that AMT has yet to ship a single unit of.

Reads to me like Georgio, Joshua Zipkin and Tyler Lummis are off to Amsterdam.
also on the same day as the other news that was posted here about bitmine.

http://bitmine.ch/?p=5329

and

http://bitmine.ch/?p=5404

Doesn't look like Georgio is going anywhere. Can't say the same for AMT.

I wish someone else in was in the PA area who could make a quick trip.

LOL pictures taken on the 27th Feb.

Where do I get on line NOT to buy them??

I guess you are already at the head of that line Smiley
2504  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.992 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 17, 2014, 08:38:34 AM
Those of you who live in US and order S1 regularly, could you please give me an estimation on expenses (import taxes, handling or whatever)and if you have any problems because of the fact you order them regularly?

Thank you in advance

There are no import taxes to the US.
Handling charges usually only come into play if the carrier has to deal with paying import taxes.
Shipping is included in the price.

Why don't you just order one and see.
2505  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: up to 800GH/s [Non Self Moderated] on: March 16, 2014, 11:28:13 AM
So, now since they've specifically stated that they would denominate refunds in USD and have specifically stated that a refund in the event of a shrunk BTC value would result in *MORE* bitcoins, that means that a refund could be initiated now by people who pre-ordered back at the $1200 or $1000 mark, for a *positive bitcoin* "windfall," which would guarantee them a positive bitcoin INCREASE in a way which is guaranteed to give a better BTC ROI than mining with any HashFast equipment ever will.

Seriously, people who pre-ordered at the higher value should be asking for a refund now that they're not delivering basically at all.
Too bad that people who ordered in late november/december are locked in in a "we own your soul and we can unitarily change the terms" kind of tos.
(i can't find a reference in the tos to backup the claim that they can now unitarily change the terms, but i remember to have found it once)
Posted from Bitcointa.lk - #pypmofcJ6UA4t0MG

Really what all these miner manufacturers should put in their TOS is "if we do give out a refund it will be in whatever denomination is worth less at the time of refund"
2506  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) on: March 16, 2014, 08:58:15 AM
Doesn't shipping with a PSU make it more difficult when exporting? Doesn't the supplier have to get the entire thing through some sort of US or EU approval?
2507  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) on: March 16, 2014, 08:01:17 AM
also for customs

bitmain

what you will have to write as value?

Will you shut up about customs ffs. You think they can't read a public forum. Anything like that you should take to the supplier directly and privately.
2508  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) on: March 14, 2014, 05:09:11 PM
They had a good system. Charging Btc lowering the price to reflect market value, selling only from stock etc.. This is a disappointment really cost wise and configure wise. Just IMHO of course. But it will still sell
2509  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ntek 1.2th/s miner? on: March 14, 2014, 01:16:15 AM
Who says the chips are stolen or cloned or counterfeit? Even Bitmine have withdrawn their veiled allegations regarding this matter from open debate.

Unfortunately it looks more like you have been misled by Giorgio, Bitmine don't own the IP on the chip, they paid for Insilicon's IP and ASIC. They have been stringing you all along for months, then ripped off most of their pre-pay miner customers by not delivering and promising a completely false CPP, and then in a last ditch effort to keep the money flowing in ripped off all their chip customers by charging 2-3X the cost they paid for the chips from Insilicon.

Apparently Bitmines PCB designs were so bad, that one of the Chinese companies had to show them how to make a PCB that worked.

You guys should be very careful about throwing around accusations until the legality of the situation is actually resolved, and trying to scare potential customers away from competitors by scaremongering guess work is just low.

As I said before, way too early to know whether this is a scam or not....

J

p.s. people may have their own agendas though in trashing others.....

True.

Im with the others.  As soon as there is proof im in. But here there isnt anything.

If it was my company and I had started production id be all over the place where itz being made taking photos and videos so there was no doubt in anyone's mind.
2511  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 28nm ** 1T ** 900W【JingTian miner】 in production !!! on: March 13, 2014, 12:37:28 PM
Bitmain and their Ants are definitely what all vendors should be aspiring to; good price performance and 100% legal. It goes to show that not all Chinese companies are the same and that one should be vigilant against companies like JT, JianTian, Dragon, etc who have no qualms with using stolen technology in their products.

Frankly I don't see any reason why anyone would want to purchase anything based on the A1 as currently it simply isn't a competitive option.

Lesson learned. Don't use Innosilicon ever.

So you're not going to buy any A1 chips from them for your Wasps then? Smiley
2512  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 28nm ** 1T ** 900W【JingTian miner】 in production !!! on: March 13, 2014, 10:18:16 AM
So you say.

Still, this does not change the fact that Innosilicon does not have the rights to produce and distribute the A1 chips without bitmine's permission.

There's more than one IP inside the chip.

All stakeholders must unanimously agree on the conditions of use. There is no disagreement between stakeholders regarding bitmine's right to sell the A1 chip. There is disagreement between stakeholders regarding Innosilicon's right to sell the A1 chip.

Now these two love birds may work it out in the end with Innosilicon also obtaining the rights to sell the chip. But as things stand, Innosilicon does not have the right to sell the chip and therefore all Chinese miners based on the 28nm A1 chips obtained from Innosilicon are the product of IP theft.

You have lost your Battle. Cant imagine whats your motivation to keep up this silly fight... you cant win this.
Who ships out miner gets the sales. Innosilicon secluded rights to sell the chip. Bitmine has failed and keeps on failin. What ever they make china makes x10 of these miners with 50% of the costs.

Nothing stops production in China if there is $ to make. They do not have copyright laws, you can cry all you want eaven multibillion companys have failed in China to secure some of their IP

Bitmine is out of the game. They screwed their customers, they had weak contract with the maker. Lesson learned time to move on. This stuff happens all the time. Who can keep their customers will win... Dont look too good for Bitmine. Looks hell of a better for Chinese makers who can cut the costs and bring up these miners with 2500$ and lower eventually..

There is no point arguing with him, he obviously works for Bitmine and is being paid to try and spread as much FUD as possible, he doesn't listen to reason, he's got vague ideas about law, contract law and the legal process, all he does is regurgitate the crap that comes out of someone elses mouth to fit his own, and Bitmines, agenda.

What it comes down to is who you believe, a bunch of incompetants and scammers in Switzerland who can't ship their own overpriced product, or a bunch of unknown guys in China who are shipping them at reasonable cost.

My dealings with China (Bitmain) have so far been excellent, I wish these guys could get their act together as well as Bitmain have and have as slick a production run of in-stock, reasonably priced product, they would have people crawling all over them to order. I imagine that they were trying to do a similar model (make loads, mine the crap out of them and then sell them as in-stock product and a gradually reducing price) but got a bit ahead of themselves.

2514  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: March 13, 2014, 07:52:49 AM
Hello,
Is X3 have software onboard like Antminer S1 ?
I need miner that can :
1. Sometimes my place got power down for 10-15 min, I wish it can power up themselves after my place's up
2. X3 can change pools if the priority pool is down
3. In the end I need miner that I can sleep without worrying it

Thank you...

No-one knows because they don't exist yet.
2515  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: March 13, 2014, 07:52:03 AM
...
I had already cleaned it, plugged it in and mining on it even before I posted this message. That's no big deal, just that it was supposed to be new. Also it may be a sign of things to come. If they are starting to ship out their running pieces they may be running all out with no new pieces in production. That could also mean the S2 may be closer.
Actually that could even mean the S2 is already working.
If they have a farm of S1s, it wouldn't make much sense to switch any off (and ship them to customers) until they could replaced them with the new S2's

.
.
.

Though, I'd certainly expect a discount if I got a used one ...
Yes they should actually say on the site if they are selling used ones ... and they should be for cheaper ...

They are selling them cheaper everyday.

And yes it is true, they are/were using them to mine before they sold it to us.
The question is: Do we really care?
We get miners delivered to us 3 days from order.
They work exactly as advertised.

I know they have been using my miners from before, but I have them here NOW Wink

+1

Sure....

Plus sending miners that were mining before doesn't increase the overall hash rate Smiley

Thank you for your clear and concise response.

are you joking?

I'm not commenting on the content or intent of the response, but at least the response is clear, concise and leaves no room for mistake from anyone reading it.

Whether it is right or wrong is up to the customer to decide (both current and potential)
2517  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: March 12, 2014, 04:06:05 PM
I ordered a 800GH machine in the Jan #2 batch (supposed to ship Jan 15 - lolz).

As of today my machine is 46 days late (first 10 days of being late don't count according to CCP, otherwise it would be 56 days late). So already I better be awarded an additional 40% hash power according to CCP (10% per every 10 days late). This is assuming it would ship today of course, which it won't. In 4 more days it will be 50 days late, which at that time I better be awarded 50% more hash power as promised by CCP. This will mean they have to fill my 800GH machine with a 5th card, and also and me an additional machine with 1 card.

In 14 days from now it will be 60 days late, at which time I will request full refund + 10% guaranteed by CCP.

Am I understanding this all correctly?

Hi,

Yes your calculation is accurate.

Thanks for the clarification. Do I need to contact support to request my additional hash or will they add it automatically?

It is automatically added based on your CPP coverage on the day of shipping the unit.

What happens on Day 61 if you do not want a refund? Does the CCP (10%/10days) continue?

The CPP was meant to be a compromise between and acceptable risk for our customers and an acceptable risk for us. The concept is this: we could possibly delay, we understand this is a loss for you so we are compensating this loss with additional hashing power (+10% every 10 days). If we are really so much late that waiting would make no more sense for you (the famous "61 days"), then you can cancel your order, get the money back and even get a 10% free gift from us for the troubles you had. So the answer is no, after the 61st day we are not giving more than 50% of compensation because that would result in a plain loss for us, you can either wait for the 50% compensated order to be shipped or cancel the order as per above.

I'm not aware of any other Bitcoin mining equipment manufacturer in the world that offers such a good customer protection. Our primary goal is customer's satisfaction and we are working hard to achieve this.

Thank you for your clear and concise response.

So have these knock-off chips been reported to Chinese authorities?

Maybe you should contact Innosilicon and order your chips from them, cut out the Bitmine middleman seeing as they are just a reseller of Innosilicon chips apparently.

There is no customs fee for the US, right?

It didn't come up on the one I purchased. We also have no VAT/etc to worry about in US.

I'm glad I don't live in UK!

Its not just the UK, nearly all of Europe has VAT: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_rates_of_Europe

My understanding is 50% additional hash is all that will be given no matter how long you wait after 61 days.

I don't want a laymans understanding, I want a clear definition from the CEO
