...
Gone from 1.3x to 1.5x 1.665TH and climbing now, back temperatures gone from 37 to 67°C 77°C!
Keep your room cozy and warm in the winter ...

I am going to have to do something about the fan though, this thing is loud! Louder than all my other miners combined.

If I can't do anything about it I'll have to sell it I think Sad

already updated before it became inaccessible.

just installing google remote now.

i sent you a skype request a few minutes ago

e2a - myminer does not seem to work at all now. i can see neither SPx

2nd edit - Much Thanks to Zvi, 15minutes and im at least stable now at 1.5TH/s

needed to up the max watts & fan speed (its quite warm here)

Did you set max watts to 288?

[edit]Trying 288

I'm using an EVGA 1300W G2 so power shouldn't be an issue.

Still no sign of the 6TH miner then?

SP20 with SP10 PSU (Emerson DS1050) and an adapter board we developed.
The picture was taken at Inside Bitcoin TLV this week.

Bit of a wider angle shot to the right would have been nice Cheesy
1588  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [$0.35/GH] Bankrupted HashFast Hardware Sale on: October 24, 2014, 08:59:56 AM
I think that one way this would work would be if buyers could pay like a deposit, 10% to secure their miners and then when the miners are built and ready to ship they could pay the remainder.
Well, if someone wanted a quick % out of a half million dollar investment, maybe this could happen.

The onus and majority of risk should be on the manufacturer/supplier building the machines, the xx% deposit idea shows the manufacturer the customers are serious about purchasing. Using an existing known manufacturer, as is the case here, should add credence to the deal, however the weight of responsibility needs to move back to a normal supply chain system where companies are shipping from stock.
1589  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: October 24, 2014, 08:36:58 AM
- Most of the refunds were done
- SP20 and SP31 will be shipped next week
- Spec update early next week, I'm waiting for SP35 build and test.

We were busy investigating and tuning the firmware to handle various issues found in the field.
We've shipped huge amount of machines and it's expected to encounter some issues. Most of them were solved.

Guy

Thanks for the update Smiley

well this whole slip sliding away till the next panic dump every couple weeks is getting quite old imho Sad

just saying

but things will be better when KNC attains its long term goal of 20% of the mining network with their data hall projects

right? (ducks hey don't throw stuff in shout box)

you keep talking about KNC, the funny thing is that no one really cares about them here, some of us here don't even know what is KNC or what are their products.

Searing is worried that if they are mining 20% of the network, they are dumping around 700 BTC a day at whatever price they can get, constantly driving the price down.
1592  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [$0.35/GH] Bankrupted HashFast Hardware Sale on: October 23, 2014, 07:55:45 AM
Anyway, in order to try to raise trust towards the manufacturer Simon was authorised to share their name; the company is Bitcrane, and they do their manufacturing in Shenzhen.

The thread about their already existing Hashfast powered rigs is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=718383.0

1594  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] Prisma 1.4Th/s group buy @ 1.42 btc with coupon on: October 22, 2014, 09:04:47 AM
Please use caution when unpacking your prismas as the unit may shift inside the foam capsule...
I do not recommend pulling it out from one of the sides.  Remove the side foam caps and then separate one of the lengthwise foam sides CAREFULLY and lift the prisma out of it's foam shell.  You will see upon closer visual inspection that the lengthwise foam panels are glued at the corners.  That would be a good place to separate them to get to the prisma.

I think there's a chance to snag a component if you just pull the tube out from the side of the foam casing.

Surely they are in antistatic bags inside the foam casing Huh
1595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 22, 2014, 08:38:58 AM

"KnC generates bitcoin at a cost Cole says is “significantly below $400” per unit."

How much were neptunes again? 10,000 USD?  Shocked

He means that it costs them significantly less than the current BTC cost to mine a single BTC not that it costs less than $400 to make a neptune.
1596  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] B's Moderated Biased & Opinionated Miner Sellers Trustworthiness Guide on: October 20, 2014, 07:36:52 AM
Please kindly add BitCrane to your list of manufacturers. http://www.bitcrane.com/

They have a phone number and a business address and they respond readily to e-mail and also have shipped their products out with no issues.

I've had extensive dealings with them and they're a stand up company with a track record of at least two iterations of miners (the T110 and T110S) which actually are still selling units. They also ship from stock.

Leaving them out would be unfair given their thus far excellent business practices. I think Dogie, bobsag3 and maidak all received their units as well.

For transparency sake, you really should disclose your business relationship with them perhaps in your sig or wherever you post about them.

Hi I am an actual paying customer. For full disclosure one of my gadget companies GeekZen is also now an authorized distributor of BitCrane as well. I only entered into the distributorship after I had purchased the miners myself and was happy with it.

Set the difficulty manually to 2048.

tanx for quick answer , can you explain some more how to do that  ( Set the difficulty manually to 2048 ) , it is my first real miner , so some help would be great

i set my miner configuration , url , worker , pass and it works but that is all i know off this machine , but i love it a lot
1598  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: October 14, 2014, 01:51:03 PM
Are the coupons transferable?

yes they are I have $900 or so worth of coupons I will let go for ~700 -800 of bit coin

Is it possible to use more than one coupon per purchase? I might be interested if it is.

Peace  Smiley

You can't use more than one Discount code per order, but you can use multiple gift cards.

You can request they change a discount code to a gift card code, YMMV with regards to whether they will do that or not.
1599  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: October 13, 2014, 11:30:09 PM

I just thought I'd point out a few things on these. First, you'll note that the low performer is only using 1176W (DC) whereas the high performer is using 1254W. This means you're getting 0.857 J/GH (DC) on the slow machine and 0.832 J/GH on the fast one, so your fast unit clearly has superior ASICs. Second, you have slightly higher voltages on the fast machine on average, which is probably responsible for the lower power consumption. There might be a way to increase the voltages that the firmware settles on by changing (increasing) the initial voltages, but you also might brick your miner by trying that, and you'd only gain at most around 80 GH/s and you'd lose efficiency as well.

As for the waviness of the line, if you look at the graphs you'll notice that the one running 1.5.8 has the graph scale go from 1.2 TH/s to 1.5 TH/s, but the one running 1.5.4 has the graph scale go from 0 TH/s to 1.6 TH/s. The reason for this scaling difference is that Zvi made this modification (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=521520.msg8356336#msg8356336) in the more recent firmware after I showed it to him. Consequently, the graphs on 1.5.8 just show more detail than on 1.5.4.

Thank you for the detailed response jt. Smiley

Have you limited the maximum A the chips can draw on the slower unit?

What percentage are the fans running at?

I actually had increased the start and max on the slower unit befor posting here to see it helped but it did not.

Fans are set to 80
