Yes site came back online later today.

I've emailed them as well, its just gone 8AM there so they should come online soon.
1522  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling 100 Spondoolies SP30 Yukon miners with hosting on: November 19, 2014, 11:27:33 PM
As soon as someone puts miners for sale here, people always jumps at this: "you have to ask for less, you have to ask for less."
I see it differently-she gave you the price and it is clearly negotiable.
In addition, try to get 0.45 PH IMMEDIATELY with long term hosting commitment-I don't think that it is going to be easy.
The deal does not look great for one miner, but perhaps not bad for a large farm.

Its a marketplace! Haggling is part of the business.

Its in our interests to drive the price down just like (as you have one to sell) its in your interests to try and keep the prices up Smiley
1523  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling 100 Spondoolies SP30 Yukon miners with hosting on: November 19, 2014, 11:25:12 PM
Thanks for the reply, good to see you are taking seriously the comments. They are not meant as an attack.

Actually the last one sold for $3300, take off the 10% that Ebay charges and thats $2970 that was over a week ago.

Before that its nearly a month since one sold, these things depreciate less than most miners but still they just stop being able to break even if too highly priced.

Remember you are not dealing with Ebay here, these are mainly seasoned miner buyers who reject Ebay/Paypal and their "evil empire" Smiley

You are of course free to sell at whatever you like and good luck to you.

If these were going for $2500-2700 without the hosting anchor chain I'd snap your arm off to buy one Smiley
1524  Economy / Services / Re: [www.easy2mine.com] 165$,the sales promotion of used dragon 32M scrypt miner on: November 19, 2014, 01:28:33 PM
Web site is down as well, so you can't actually post the form.
1525  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling 100 Spondoolies SP30 Yukon miners with hosting on: November 19, 2014, 08:37:31 AM
Considering these are selling on ebay for just over $3000 and also considering if you bought 100 from Spondoolies you would have purchased them at a hefty discount on the RRP I think you are overpriced. In fact I think you are probably profiteering.

Try pricing around $2500 and you will have no problem selling them. Especially considering the expensive hosting you are selling them with.

Remember it doesn't matter what you think they are worth, they are only worth what it is expected they will return in BTC over their lifetime.
1526  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining ASICs Technologies Promises 6TH/s Bitcoin Miner And 200 MH/s Scrypt Miner on: November 19, 2014, 12:20:45 AM
why would the facility not be insured?

If you have nothing else to say on topic please consider attacking these other ASIC suppliers:

Bitmain
ASICMiner
Bitfury

I'm sure that would provide even more credibility for MAT.

oh - I have plenty to say - but it's already been said in the threads that have beaten those companies to death - at least MAT is delivering machines!

Come on jjj0923 you cant really accuse Bitmain of not shipping.

question :
Does an SP20 make more noise than a PRISMA ?
I could live with a PRISMA-s noise but anything louder is a pain !

1529  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining ASICs Technologies Promises 6TH/s Bitcoin Miner And 200 MH/s Scrypt Miner on: November 18, 2014, 10:42:07 PM
And it will never break even or make a profit. Ever.

After about a year it will stop earning anything whilst still $2800 away from paying for itself.

Scrypt ASIC miners are worse than BTC ASIC miners for generating positive ROI, not that Bitcoin ASICs are much better  Roll Eyes
1530  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 18, 2014, 09:04:31 AM
Guy,

Thanks for you and your team on taking care of my general issues (from SP31 RMA's to SP30's running in your DC).
SPTech product and service is exemplary and unmatched.

Sincerely,
Miner454

Agreed, best customer support in the business.  Cool

Shame everything is out of stock tho Sad

Guy,
I have to agree with the above comments, though I have yet to hear from Katya regarding the forms required to RMA my damaged SP20.
I did contact support at which point Barbara informed me that Katya would get in touch with me regarding the aforementioned.
A week has passed since I sent my initial request to the support team, I also sent a follow up email, though no reply yet.
Thank you,
Ski

Wtf? your post contradict itself. Are you agreeing that their service is the best yet you're at the mercy of SP-T to help you with RMA?

No wonder this forum is a scammer's heaven. Getting bent over while saying "YES THANK YOU! "

Here is a new idea: You're a buyer, not a beggar.

It sucks. Customer's are afraid to complain or speak up for themselves. I always thought the seller has the duty to take care of the customer the best they can. Like the Dr. Oath. Smiley

Its generally the opposite. Customers rarely praise for good service and often are vociferous regarding poor service.

No company is 100% perfect, especially smaller companies such as this one, but these guys, in my experience, and I've purchased from just about everyone legit, are the best I've experienced not just in this business but in many others as well.
1531  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 18, 2014, 08:54:09 AM
Does anybody have an inexpensive solution to SP-20 noise?
My house does not have a basement, so noise reduction or elimination is a must.
Thanks.

No choice but to host it. I had the same scenario with my SP10. I had the electric, but no matter where I was in the house, no matter what tricks I did, the noise was always going to be there.

Its not as bad as a SP10 or even a SP30 but its too loud for having in a living area.
1532  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining Asics Technologies Question? on: November 18, 2014, 08:51:26 AM
Jimmothy.

Good links for sure...

However may i refer you here.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=565415.0

This is well after the FPGA prototype had been finished.  Which means that alcheminer white labeled the MAT gear.  This is a VERY VERY common practice in tech period.

http://www.topbitcoinmininghardware.com/war-machine-gaw-miners/

We all know that is a zues miner right?

Another thing to keep in mind.  Other companies do tape outs...

Let me give you an example...
Remember this thing?  http://bitmine.ch/coincraft-28nm-asic/
This was done by a company called Innosilicon.  I have visited Innosilicon in china personally.  And the owners are now good friends of mine.  However, Innosilicon also made their own chip... called the A1.  In fact it is the same chip. Also, they made something called a2.  Which is a beast mode scrypt miner.  But regardless who cares.

So my question to you is how does this matter in anyway?  Regardless on who made the chipset.  I am looking at this purely from an objective standpoint.  Does it matter who is using whose stuff?  I mean if innosilicon would give me free chips and let me laser over it and put my face on it i would.  Because let's be honest... a chip with my face on it would be BITCHIN!... lol

Sorry "bud" but the more you type, the more you really come across as not having a clue. All you are doing is spouting off bits and pieces of non-technical hearsay you have picked up listening to others.

If you are so buddy buddy with Innosilicon you would know that they were contracted to make the A1 for Bitmine and had a non-compete agreement for a specific amount of time. Unfortunately Bitmine were so monumentally incompetent and building a working miner around the chip (I mean months!) that the clock ran out on the non-compete agreement and Innosilicon were free to sell their own and to OEMs. Go check the Bitmine thread if you want to see a bunch of unhappy customers.

It matters because MAT set themselves up to be making their own chips, priced their products accordingly, set an unrealistic, aggressive schedule knowing full well they wouldn't be able to keep it, then tried to resell someone elses products as their own.

MAT is no better than AMT in my books. Just a reseller of other peoples tech who took loads of overpriced pre-orders and didn't deliver citing production issues for a non-existent production line. Horrendous communications with customers, shill accounts, lies and deception.

What he should have done is just been straight from the start, told people he was just going to screenprint his logo on other peoples hardware, but its hard to run the sort of scam that he has run and get the pre-order cash in his pocket that he has without pretending to be a chip manufacturer and developer rather than just a box shifter of OEM systems.

Thats how its played out in these threads, and that's why people are rightly pissed off. Too many customers have been ripped off by these "ASIC" sellers. Most of us understand the difficulties in starting your own business and sympathise with an actual manufacturer having tape-out issues or pcb redesigns, but even then people have their limits, hence the lawsuits and federal investigations around Bitmine, BFL, Hashfast, KnC etc. So when someone comes along pretending to be of that level of production but really isn't then it makes it even worse.

1537  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Home mining makes a comeback: check out Spondoolies new offer, the Jackson SP20 on: November 17, 2014, 12:03:09 AM
I can't tell you what a sp20 does I don't possess it yet.  but on the website they claim 1100 watts at 1700 gh or just under .65 watts

Check again. In the "PSU recommendations" tab it says: "Maximum power output – each SP20 requires 1152 W RMS continuous power. Spoondoolies-Tech recommends adding a 20% margin to handle power peaks."

An output of 1152W with a gold PSU would be ~1280W at the wall.

at 1.68TH mine was pulling 1133W at the wall using a EVGA 1300 G2

My SP-31 RMA arrived and it's running at less than half-speed.   Angry
Colo is reporting bad PSU.  Not good.  Do I need an RMA for the RMA?

Now running at 1.57 Th/s (Expected hash rate of the SP31 is 4.9TH/s +- 5%)

If there is any chance to test with a known working PSU from another unit then let support know they will ship you a new PSU, thats what they did with my SP10 that had a faulty PSU. Only took two days to arrive.
