Monero (XMR) was already a trending crypto currency and an accepted payment method in the dark web. Therefore, it comes as no surprise to me that the hackers are demanding Monero in exchange. The hackers appear to be pretty smart as from their tactic of doubling the ransom amount if not paid in 48 hours, it is clear that they want to make a quick clean trade.

Moreover, asking for Monero instead of Bitcoin makes sense as XMR offers a much high level of privacy than BTC. It is basically a privacy coin which also focuses on fungibility and decentralization. Therefore, its superior to Bitcoin in terms of privacy and security.

Just because our future will involve a lot more crypto doesn't mean that crypto is the future. I am sick and tired of people who think that crypto will be the only currency one day when we reach the mass adoption, it can never be like that, it can't scale to that level and its a failed project from the start.

This is why crypto will be a good part of our life and we will be using it in a lot more places and it will be adopted more so in theory yes crypto will be bigger and important in the future, but that doesn't mean that bitcoin will be the only thing, it doesn't mean that crypto is the only way, there are a lot more options which will continue for a long time as well. That is at least what I believe and hopefully that would be for a long period of time as well.

I think it would be pretty easy to touch 15k within this year because we are already moving so positively and much quicker than expected and there are still so many months to go, I am actually expecting the price to 15k around November-December and then a quick drop around the new year and then again some solidity rise slowly in the next year.

I don't think anyone should sell now days looking at the market unless you desperately need some money for daily needs because you might be missing out on a easy 10-15% profit the way the chart is moving upwards, although I understand some people need money badly because of lockdowns and all so yeah some might cash it, but not worth it if you can hold on.

I understand that when there is an increase in the prices people are reacting like this is going to be the greatest increase in the history of bitcoin and they do it all the time. I have been in the bitcoin world for over 7 years now and I have seen it all, I remember the times when people talked about these type of increases and they have said that bitcoin will be 1 million dollars very soon after that 20k increase as well and we went down as low as 3k after that, I have told people not to hype bitcoin this much because it would hurt them but they didn't listen.

I think the increases will continue and I feel like the increases could eventually break the all time high and create a new one but I do not believe that we are going to have anything close to 250k anytime soon.

The lesser amount of projects might have something to do with the pandemic because almost no one wants to start a new project since they cannot do any meetings or gather together to promote or discuss their project publicly.

It also has to do with the amount of scam projects coming up, investors are now hesitant to invest anything in genuine projects as well and the whole altcoin market is completely bullshit now.

I am honestly happy that there are lesser ICOs and hopefully the golden days of altcoins will be back soon with lesser projects being thrown into the market.
