2501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin private key storage on: February 28, 2022, 08:42:29 PM

1. Should I go with aluminium or steel plates ?

2. Wouldn't it be a risk if I give my keys to the vendor to engrave it on the plates ? What if he steals my coins?
Also, If I don't give the words to the vendor how will he engrave it ?

One solution that I can think of is to find 3-4 similar vendors and give a few words to each of them to engrave on the plate
1. Go for Steel, its more tough and resistant in all things.

2. Never ever expose off your Private keys. If he tends to ask for such information then better skip out and find another vendor.
You could engrave for your self  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHjqAVxtlPg
2502  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: February 26, 2022, 09:57:34 PM
So having a cold wallet for a casino is recommended because that can prevent hacking that can happen anytime.
Cold wallets has nothing to do for security of the gambling website to prevent the hacking.

If you mean it's used to minimize the damage of lost funds taken when a hack happens, then it's reasonable.

In any way, gambling websites should have the same security feature of what exchanges do, it may be a matter of # of funds stored in its hot wallet but it is still a fund to run the business and should be considered in high level of security.
Cold wallet is just a back-up plan and it can’t really prevent hackers, better to improve the whole system and increase the security on every account to avoid any big losses in the future.

I believe on exchanges security are doing great but I think gambling site can so better than them since there’s also a big money in gambling, they should invest more on their security so gamblers will have a peace of mind trusting that specific site.
There are still gambling sites who do only refill out their hotwallets if needed and most of the funds been accumulated or stored would be on their cold wallets yet its true that
gambling sites and exchangers are really that like honeypots for hackers yet this one involves millions of dollars which they could possibly stole. So far there were no huge breach
or exploits happen on gambling sites but we've seen some in the past which do proves out that its possible to be done and having those losses. So only
deposit on the amount which you can afford to lose as a user.
2503  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or altcoins on: February 26, 2022, 08:52:10 PM
~

Altcoins do rise in percentage 2x or even 3x or even higher than that than Bitcoin, yes it is true. But have you asked yourself why that is? The reason is simple. No other coin has the market cap of Bitcoin. Altcoins have small market caps. And when there are only a few coins going around, each sold or bought Altcoin will create a much bigger impact than every sold Bitcoin.

While this sounds good in practice, you must remember that Altcoins are not Bitcoin. And they do not enjoy the same level of confidence in their value from investors. So as much as they go up in price, they go down just as hard.
Thats why people do really love on touching or dealing with altcoins since they could possibly able to make profit on bigger multipliers unlike if they do only stick with bitcoin where it do only gives
2x maximum or more in the future but it isnt really appealing for most people who do love to be millionaires which could only be possible on dealing with low caps which would make out some
decent returns but of course the risk involved would really be higher as expected. Some do love to play with fire thats why they do really ending up with this kind of
option but there are people who do love to stick on whats the most suitable and recommendable investment.
2504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bounty Campaign a Sustainable way to grow your Crypto Community? on: February 26, 2022, 07:56:36 PM
No doubtful, bounty campaigns draws a ton of attention to your community and enlighten potential investors about your project. But at the long run, is this development sustainable? Is it reliable enough to grow your project?

There are some bounty campaigns that have run for months in this forum, it must mean there is a positive outcome from campaign otherwise those campaigns won't keep running, bounty campaign is another
form advertising anyways so it is very possible most of the campaigns beings positive results and also help the project to build a community,
Most social media campaigns are run for this purpose,  to grow and build a strong community.
It would really be subjective and its quite evident on how marketing does give out significant impact into the business.Speaking with those signature campaigns on services section which does
involved sustaining marketing and exposure for long term business then its just normal that they would really be running off specially if they do see off some benefits then they would really
be having that outmost consideration on running a long one but if its not feasible then its normal that they wouldnt really be tending to make it long. For bounty campaigns
then exposure is a must so its up to them whether they would run one or not.
2505  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|✍️Signature Campaign|🎮Free-to-Play|🔋Rakeback & Recharge bonuses on: February 26, 2022, 06:57:44 PM
It is unlikely that Betfury will decide to end the signature campaign after only 3-4 weeks. As far as I know, Betfury has allocated over $20k for this campaign. Therefore, it can be assumed that the campaign will run for at least 8 weeks. Although it would be better if the Betfury manager confirmed or denied this information.
Although the team never said how long the campaign would run, at least the team already smelled a good smell when they saw the increasing user traffic thanks to the referral code used by every user accepted in this campaign.
I see the Betfury team are constantly trying to develop this platform, they can use strategies that are judged to increase traffic on their platform. The large allocation for signature campaigns can benefit them because users can see from the long duration of the campaign. (hopefully)

It's true that the Betfury team will see how far the traffic progress from signature campign if there is a significant improvement then the campaign can run for a long time
Besides that, it is Betfury interest to compete with other casinos. One thing that is interesting is that participants are allowed to put a referral code in their signature meaning it has the potential as additional income.

This is the first time i have seen any gambling campaign asking to put the referral link in the signature and not the generic site link. What difference does this make?
Do they want to track how many new users got registered through this signature campaign on their site ?
When it comes to those links then it would be on different motive.

1. Ref link for Site tracking
2. Directly put Site Url
3. There are instances on which you could put your own personal ref link if its permitted.

This had been the common ways.
2506  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You don't need to hodl a particular coin all your life on: February 26, 2022, 06:16:50 PM
Yes you are right brother. If you are holding a coin for long term then left it. Don't see it for 5 years. After 5 years it will definitely give you profit. But the main thing is that project must be must.
See, if anyone holding Bitcoin when he was 1$. If he invest only 100$ in Bitcoin and bought it at 1$ price. Now, he become millionaire. Because now Bitcoin all time price is more then 60000$. He has waited 10 years and now he become millionaire. So, think about long term projects
Yes it could possibly give out that chance but no one had anticipated that bitcoin would  really reach out those numbers on which or come to think that there are only a few who had
believe into that project and thats the risk on which anyone should really be putting on specially if they are really going for long term.So its a matter or risk taking because not all
projects would really be worth for you to hold on which means you do need to make out some research before making any step and also dont expect that much that your
choices would really be right.
2507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: February 26, 2022, 05:46:02 PM

Obviously it does not happen to everyone but it happens to a great deal of players, for example on the NFL the average length of a player's career is something like 4 or 5 years, so even if they are paid good money for their services this means that at some point they need to find another way to earn a living, and it is incredibly difficult to believe they are going to find another job that pays so well, so the majority of the players end up broke at some point during their lives.
Obviously this is a sad part for majority of the sportsman, if they are not smart to invest in something that could earn them a living during their prime playing time then they will suffer when their career ends, once they reach the level of luxury it will be hard for them to live a normal life and usually, their wealth runs out faster than they think and ends up filing for bankruptcy.

This is the mindset of another sportsman if when they are in their price years or time they spent their money for their wants and not investing this mindset is not good cause every tomorrow, we can not predict what happens for example if you are in the prime year's/time spending your money in useless wants, and the time has come your career will end and you have a little amount of money and day by day you will spent it in your needs, for sure you will get into bankruptcy. So choose wisely and be practical.
They will think about how much money pay by sponsorship for begin games and not matter how long have quit from arena, I see with all boxing player have been quit almost one or two years and return back to arena because get higher attention and much payment for reschedule match, from Manny Pacquiao match between Miguel Cotto where both players have long time quit from the arena and back again with higher money pay by sponsorship.

Yes you are right that mate every single fight in the arena is a big fight and a big prizes also even the fighter will loss in the match there's a big chances to win a big amount of money.
But if the player did not handle with care in their money and spent it their wants for sure they will regret it in the future cause what I said above if they do not handle carefully for sure they will go to bankruptcy.
There are exemptions on getting bankrupt which whoever you are as long you arent wise on spending on your money then sooner or later you would really be wrekt up.
We know that each fight could really generate out income on both fighters whether they do win or lose but we know that winning does really get the bigger pot which
fighters/athletes would really be doing their best on getting that spot.Speaking about of on how they would use their money then its none of our business since they are
the ones who do earn it, it is  really just sad on seeing that there are people who doesnt mind much in regard on spending.
2508  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run in Bitcoin on: February 23, 2022, 02:14:10 AM
As I am writing this, Bitcoin dropped 6.5k this past week. The reason why because of the tensions between Russia and Ukraine. If this didn't happen, the price of Bitcoin would've been at around 46k or a bit more. I'd didn't see this coming and we are still sitting between 45k-30k. So the Bull and the Bear is kind of in a duel right now and the Bull is losing control a bit.
Expect the unexpected as it always be on this way on which there are several fundamentals which could cause these declines but most of the time it would really be in random
basis which you could even hardly recognize on what are the possible reasons behind these big movements but to say that these percentages isnt really that much of
a shocking thing because price could really move into these percentages so better get used to it.
2509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 23, 2022, 12:47:00 AM

I also think the same that they now pass the struggle of controlling Casimero's condition and right now, they are just maintaining it until the date of the fight. Unfortunately that they need to find a solution to that condition instead of focusing only on his usual practice.

Pual Butler knows that issue and will do everything to make that Casimero's condition to his advantage. Since he's the one hungry for the title, he will do everything to win on that match too.

If that's the case on Butler's side, it would be a great challenge for Casimero.

And knowing this guy, he wanted that call, a toe to toe exchanging of punches will delight him. Casimero always wanted to impress
his fans, if Butler will try to aggressively finished him due to his current condition, he will respond and will bring also the best in him,
the last fight against Rigo is a boring one, let see if this will bring different scene to all viewers.

If Butler is really thinking that he is already on the advantage side just because of Casimero's current condition then just let him think that way so that he will go and charge head-on to see if he's indeed right, let's see who will pass out first. Besides, we already know that Casimero would really want that Butler will go at him and exchange punches until the bell rings. He wants an interesting match so that he can entertain his fans this time to at least make up about his match against Rigo.

Well if he think that Casimero will be an easy opponent for him just because of his past condition well maybe he will lost since Casimero will not put his guards down towards his opponent. We know how Casimero became a beast when he's opponent taunt him up so I guess this is bad for Butler if he try to get on Casimero's head. Lets just see here if he will now show the same like Rigo fighting style.

There's no statement released by Butler that he considers Casimero as an easy opponent. Butler is not the type of boxer that does statements like that. He is a humble boxer and respects Casimero as a champion. He will do his best to win and that's what matters to him. It's also a sign of showing respect to Casimero, to give the champion a good fight.

It's an opportunity for him to become a champion. He will stay on focus and not to treat Casimero as an easy opponent just because of the medical issues that the champion is facing.
"I wouldn't go as far as saying Casimero is the next Manny Pacquiao or anything, but he hits hard and I know I'm up against it, I've got to be at my best to beat him," Butler told ESPN.
https://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/story/_/id/32811828/manny-pacquiao-second-chances-new-boxing-brain-paul-butler-looks-upset-win-world-title-shot

He would be doing his best on beating up Casimero and even thinking about being next Manny Pacquiao?
2510  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto will rival or replace fiat in 10 years? on: February 22, 2022, 11:48:30 PM
Have these people imagine on a world which is only been having only Bitcoin as a main digital currency? I couldnt even think the probability or chances that fiat could be replaced or would totally

on which people do really being that unrealistic on things that they do have in mind without even thinking that if it could be that possible? Government wouldnt let that thing to happen.
Also, we do need governing bodies which do make out things in organized and arranged manner because decentralization isnt everything.

You've said it yourself. Governments will NEVER allow a decentralized cryptocurrency to take over the existing financial system. That's because a crypto-only economy will empower people to have financial freedom (something that would take down governments' autonomy/sovereignty over people's finances). As long as central banks exist, Fiat won't be going anywhere. On the contrary, Fiat currencies will adapt themselves until they're in-par with decentralized cryptocurrencies. We should just "turn the page" and focus on making crypto the best kind of money the world has ever seen. As long as crypto remains a strong alternative to existing Fiat, nothing else matters. Who knows if crypto and Fiat live alongside each other for generations? Just my thoughts Grin
People does really love on going into things which it isnt really possible to happen considering that government do exist and wont allow decentralized things would take over.Come to think that what
if we do really come into that point? Is everything would really be in order if there were no government that do handle out some sectors which is something that needs someone who do lead out?
Decentralization is good but its not everything, we do still need government and fiat of course yet it does have specific function.
2511  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gamdom.com - 3 Million+ users - Jackpots, Rains - unique games modes on: February 22, 2022, 10:49:58 PM
It would be preferable still on having some representative which could make out direct response on some potential users on here.

You are right and if you are really a potential user and really want to ask something about their website why would you post in a forum where in you can have a direct contact with their team with the contact support you can find on their website itself. I still prefer with the social media in terms of updating but as what I see some users prefer the forum I think it wouldn't hurt if they could be a little more active in the forum.
They are running off with some business then they should be at least versatile in terms of marketing and having some people on making out some response on this thread
would really be a great thing because most of crypto traffic is really lurking on this forum which it is really just dumb not to consider on putting up some focus on this place.
Well, they are the ones who do ran off the business but they are just wasting off some potential recognition that they might get on this place.
2512  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A guide for beginners to learn trading on: February 22, 2022, 09:53:40 PM
A demo account of Amarkets broker seemed to me a good option for teaching a beginner. As for me, for a beginner, this option is really beneficial for a beginner.
For familiarizing things then demo trade would be good but the actual learning would be starting on live account or simply using real money because you would really be that careful
on executing your trades or simply does follow strict risk management compared into trading with virtual balance which you wouldnt really care if you do lost it or not since you do
know that you wont lose nothing since it is just demo.Learning up trades would takes time and effort which some people arent really that patient when it comes to this.
2513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: February 22, 2022, 08:52:01 PM

I don't know about you, but sometimes I get the impression that they just want attention, when they talk about money and that they didn't pay him for the exhibition fights, it is something that attracts the attention of many people, even non-fans, He is also directly messing with Myweather, and I understand that he is very jealous in terms of his reputation and does not like people to speak ill of him, so this does draw attention to the fact that he made it public, another type is shown here show really.

You could really see this guy to be that greedy via making these kind of claims.Who would be the bullshit one who wouldnt really be paying him off after that exhibition fight against Mayweather.
For sure they have earned that much or millions on that fight and now he do make out some claims that he wasnt paid? Why now? Its clear that this dude is really just trying to seek out
some attention to make out some talks but for sure on this one he would really be hated up that much with that kind of behavior.
2514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun alone? how true? on: February 22, 2022, 06:50:26 PM
Have you heard that some people gamble for fun and not necessarily to make money?

I find it hard to believe completely because who doesn't like to make some more money even if it is not needed.

If you knew the exact sum you were going to loose gambling, and you are the type that they say " gambles for fun", will you find it fun loosing that money still? will you return another day in awareness of how much you will loose and still want to loose for fun?

I do not really see how this is something amazing or impossible to explain, obviously we would like to win but if you understand the math behind the games then you know that over the long term you have no chance to win it at all.

But then why those people gamble when they could save themselves their money? For the same reason people pay for their entertainment, if you go to the movies not only you spend money on the tickets but on food or the gasoline to get there and yet you do it, you are losing money as you state to pay for a few hours of entertainment, and gambling for fun follows the same principle.
Following the same principle but different way on how they would have done it and we know that people does have different preference when it comes to things on which some would be dealing
with those things which involves ordinary ways on spending out their time with leisure or into those times on where they do gamble for the sake of fun. Both ways could really means about
spending up money, it is just people do always have that bad image when someone do deals with gambling as if it was a sin to do so. lol
2515  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or altcoins on: February 21, 2022, 11:55:50 PM
It depends on how you want to invest. You need to plan and decide properly before you go for such an investments.Having some money in bitcoin is a good idea, but investing in altcoin is also a good way to make money. However, altcoin can give you a negative returns and is more riskier than bitcoin.Choosing the wrong altcoin might have ending up losses and no one wants that.So invest carefully..

Base your investment on your knowledge, it's safer than trying things that you don't understand.

Both Bitcoin and ALt coin have that same chances to bring decent profits, but like what you just mentioned, risk in alt coins
is far higher than Bitcoin.

In the long ride, Bitcoin is what most traders are holding, the support still strong for this asset. It's all depend from how you foreseen.
the market and how willing you are to take the risk.
Trying to focus out on how we do all sorts of things trying out to accumulate bitcoin on our portfolio even though we do deal up with altcoins but still we do target out on accumulating or converting
out to bitcoin as long we do make out profits whether on stable coin or other altcoin pairs but most of us will really be looking after on making our bitcoin balance big which it is something that really
very common motive or plans we do have in mind.So its up to someone whether which one you would choose but its common sense on which one is worth.

1xbit paid all my withdrawals very quickly ( in 30 minutes). I will make a new withdrawal tuesday, when my open bets are settled.
I am sure they will process this one as well quickly for me. They only limit me a bit with betting limits,  but thats not unreasonable and happens at all bookmakers.
Yeah right, remember that being associated with them and promoting them in any way is going to earn you ire and distrust from the other people in this forum right? I hope that you know what you're doing because you're going to be causing some naive newbie to go to this website and end up getting duped and not getting the same experience as you.
Let's be frank here, 1×bit had shown us that they are working absolutely to keep their platform suitable for every gamblers. Normally, some do come here to complains of one or two issues with their experience on the platform which is obvious on every gaming/gambling platform. If you think 1×bit is not working enough to clear all issues then, why can they write the manager rather than camouflaging to be a scent when you're receiving wages for your writeup.

But the rate or number of issues or complaints that been posted up on this thread alone excluding on other places is way too fast or not comparable on most popular site nowadays.
You are the ones who are trying to camouflage on trying to support into something which had been shady just because of some few bucks.Dont try to be saint or trying
to be clean if you are also marketing out a scammy platform.
2517  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Words of advice on: February 21, 2022, 09:51:26 PM
Caution is always a duty, caution is required when dealing with unknown sites, as well as beware of phishing sites that use Internet addresses that are very similar to the addresses of famous exchanges, and when you connect your wallet, you will lose everything. You keep a list of trusted sites in your favorites and also you should beware of Telegram channels because it is full of scammers who try to steal your private keys, the golden rule is not to give your private keys to anyone in this world no matter what.
Save your favorite links, double check everything once you are doing something and never click any link from unknown sources since they can corrupt your files and you might be on a bigger risk, especially if you download fake files. Connecting your wallet should be done on a legit site only, if in doubt better not to try or ask someone to confirm if its legit or not.
Luckily we do really have this forum or community on which you could really ask out some questions on some manner or situation you are dealing with which you could really get
real time or real experience kind of responses which could really be helpful on your part.In terms of security then you should make yourself a bit paranoid when it comes to that
which i dont see for it to be bad looking but rather its just right to have those kind of measures because we are talking some money on here.
2518  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fun Stats about Bitcoin Casinos | Infographic on: February 21, 2022, 08:49:08 PM
This is a great infographic! It really puts things into perspective.

I have a few questions, though. Did you only consider casinos that have an ANN topic on bitcointalk forum or did you use other data sources? How do you differentiate between crypto casinos and online casinos that accept crypto payments?

I considered a casino as a crypto one if they have only crypto payments, or they had only crypto payments first and then added fiat payment, or casinos that position themselves as crypto casinos (mention in in titles and allow use crypto as an account currency)

Ah, that explains it. I thought the total number was a bit low. I know for a fact that many online casinos that previously only accepted fiat are now accepting cryptocurrencies as well. With online gambling being so popular nowadays, it seems only natural that all providers in this space would want to take advantage of it.

We've seen already some old or typical fiat casinos had made out some crypto integration which it isnt surprising for a business to adapt on what the current trend and they have seen that
there are some crypto gamblers who do really gamble heavily which means that they shouldnt really miss out those people and trying to get one.For those who are solely focused
on crypto casinos that we do have today then they are the ones who do really get much attention on this crypto space community and its evident.
2519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why a single bet is better than a multi bet. on: February 21, 2022, 07:35:35 PM
Multi bet could be their way to burst their frustrations, because if they are not gonna let it out, then the outcome could be worst.
It can be or it cannot be. It's a choice so whether frustrated or not, a gambler will definitely choose it depending on what he thinks and if he thinks he's at his best.
If he just wanted to vent his frustration by using multiple bets, he would regret it because he didn't analyze before making a decision. He will lose in every bet because without analysis, he will not get the right team or player who can help him win. But if he used a random selection and relied solely on his luck, maybe he could win. But then again, if he didn't analyze properly, then it would be difficult for him to win.
Yeah, that's what is likely to happen. When someone is frustrated, you're not thinking if you just did that out of your emotions. And that's why whatever you do, you gamble, you trade or you work.
Don't put your emotion at the top when you do any activity because that's going to make you unproductive and as well as you're in the possibility of failure. That is because you're not checking and thinking correctly but only relying and doing things due to emotion.

I dont know but its kinda weird (for me) to resort on multi bets during frustrations kick in. I have been into a physical betting place several times before (not really a casino, but a place where you gamble), once I get frustrated for not being able to get enough win while I am diversifying my bet, I'd rather have one huge single bet to make. In that way, It's gonna be a win or a total lose situation, a kind of situation wherein you're already playing against your emotion like what you guys have mentioned.  So, If I win, I'll get the chance to pick my pace and begin with a calm way of placing bets, or If I lose I'll head straight home and face the fact how pissed and frustrated I am (happened to me many times).
Going all in kind of behavior is something that is really not that recommendable because instead on trying out to prolong your gambling activity then you would just simply
cut it short on the time that you would lost it all on single bet.Yes, it is really just a common behavior to have because people are way too emotional and does have that
kind of reaction on where you do need to break even for you to get back on the pace that you do have earlier.
2520  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IS it possible to let your BTC work for you ? on: February 20, 2022, 11:57:10 PM
BTC represents capital, because its not a fractional reserve system or a central banking ledger it is worth something for you to lend your capital to companies.  Most obvious example is a casino for their bank roll against winners while longer term making a profit.   That would almost always require you to trust that company to keep your capital available.
There are some casinos that are worth to invest into their bankroll but you really need to pack yourself with patience.

Can also lend it to exchanges but I don't think that I'll be doing that if I want to have some profits from my bitcoin. I just find it not worth it at all when I'm putting my funds into risk that could change my life forever.

It will still result to idea of holding is still the best.
