1981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This clearly damage the gambling. on: July 15, 2022, 10:51:47 PM
Well i cant put more words, the video says it all.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsB15QKz9No&ab_channel=EBDSports

I really think this damage the trust in the sports bets , or anything related to the sport gambling, i know a lot can say its a kind of protest but still really unclear.

Nothing new about fix matches and almost all of the gamblers knows about this so for sure many people are so picky on the league they are betting on. This is one of the reason why I stick on big leagues since from there we can see less things happening and never bet on small ones where this incident almost happen there. Also fix matches didn't give any bad effect on sports betting industry so you we don't need to worry anything about it.
Better not to stress yourself out because it was just really a normal thing to happen since there are really some organizers or big personalities which are involved on these arrangement but of course this
is really talking about big amounts or huge funds to be played on thats why they would normally target out small leagues because they do know that they could really possibly able to
execute those rigged gameplays and decisions and since only a few are just watching it then they wont really care most of the time but this isnt really rampant as we do talk because
even on small leauges then it is really just seldom for it to happen but literally this is the right place for them to do so.It cant be happening on huge tournaments and gameplays.
1982  Economy / Economics / Re: Cooperative investing between small investors on: July 15, 2022, 08:59:31 PM
I can only tell you what i know and what we have to do in point in time. Investment that you invest with companies do come with alot of complications and trouble from the company. If you want to enjoy investment of cryptocurrency put your hands together and invest personally, hoping for company investment in cryptocurrency, some times it will end up with scam and you lose your cryptocurrency investment, before you can see a cryptocurrency investment now that is legit is very deadly and i don't the fuck companies
The only ones you could really trust up is only yourself when it comes to investment.Dont really make yourself easily get hooked nor get convinced by any recommendations or some sort because it would really just might
be ending up on getting fucked or losses and make out some regrets just because someone had suggested it and you arent totally sure on the action you had made.
Cooperative kind of investment or entrusting up funds on a single person or company just to make some investment or proposals then i wont really be touching up something like this.
Just on what been said above that the main issue of these things is trust where everybody cant just easily trust people.
1983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Threshold of Loss in Gambling on: July 14, 2022, 10:54:10 PM
I don't really like calculations using tables to accumulate finances in terms of gambling. Because usually it is often done by people who are too economist in terms of spending. The struggle is still entertainment, and in this case, taking into account every time we lose I believe the defeat is much bigger than what we get.
Individual are different, we are not the same, some people can have a book to calculate their monthly income, how they will spend some and how they will save some, there is nothing bad in that, it can go beyond gambling, just that the amount of money that will be allocated on gambling will be included also also among. As for me, I am not like that though, but having this kind of calculations can help in managing finances.
Threshold could really be different and as mentioned that we are on different situations in terms of those things around or simply capacity or capability in terms of finances.
Some does have a high paying job and some do only earn basic wage which is only good for day to day living which means spending on other means or leisure wont really be prioritize
or something like that. Losses could not be always in mean with gambling but also in expenses as well which is really just a typical stuff. The important thing on here is that someone do knows
on how to control their finances so that they wont really be ending up on having a big problem afterwards when everything turns out to be inevitable or unavoidable.
1984  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can trading be likened to gambling and how so? on: July 14, 2022, 09:53:24 PM
Taking risks and looking for profit are two characteristics that are common to both trading and gambling.

The two are obviously different: with trading, you need knowledge and skills to make a profit, while with gambling, you simply try your luck. The profits and risks that come from gambling will be random and you cannot calculate or analyze. But if you trade without knowledge then you are probably gambling.
This is a good one to summarize everything, if you do trading you should be more knowledgeable on how it works and that is more about responsible trading but if you do it carelessly and without any analysis, that’s the time you can call it gambling because you depend on luck. Gambling is not bad at all, its risky but if you know how to control yourself then you can be fine. Don’t confuse yourself about trading and gambling, just know where to focus.
We should put up in our mind that there difference between;

Investment
Leisure/Enjoyment time

Both does have risk but the level of risk would be entirely depending on how you've been dealing with it.
We know that gambling is mostly relying on luck which is not that the case on  trading which does need extreme effort and analysis for you to end up profitable.
You could able directly to determine between the two if you do able to experience it for yourself.
1985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Type of Gambler Am I? on: July 13, 2022, 11:59:33 PM
~

from all the options I read, it seems I'm a casual gambler type (nothing else). I do not make gambling as my goal of making money, not including gambling addicts too, I also do not play with very large capital to gamble

occasionally playing slots, occasionally playing poker but if there is a soccer bet (especially if my favorite team plays) I will definitely place a bet right away Grin

52% of the people also selected Casual Social Gamblers in the voting options, which shows that people aren't serious about making money with gambling. I don't know if they have selected the correct option as most of the gamblers want to make money from gambling and they are not for fun/entertainment only.
For all those who have selected "Casual Social Gamblers", I want to ask them a question. Do you feel relaxed even if you lose in gambling? If not, then you do not fall in this category.

I don't mind losing.  I happen to play this Monday, and allocated 30% of my sig payment.  I played to entertain myself so basically I know I will lose all my bankroll but my challenge is how long will my bankroll last.  With that in mind I played and I enjoyed playing that lasted me for 3 hours betting in a minimum.  Then eventually my bankroll got depleted and end my session with a smile.
If you do accept on losing since from the start or on the time you do make deposit then this is how should people be treating gambling which it should really be for fun and not for source of income.
Majority is really dealing with it just for that kind of sole purpose which is really very wrong because this would really be making you desperate instead of enjoying the game that you are playing.
Me myself is just a casual gambler where i do only play when i do get bored and i do see playing gambling would be the thing that would really wipe off that boredom even though its not
really the same on everyones mindset but people should be thinking or having this kind of treatment towards gambling activity.
1986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Have Donated My Campaign BTC to buy Laptop for Practical Classes on: July 13, 2022, 10:59:39 PM
To the OP:
Allow me a positive criticism.

You are doing an outstanding job there, no question about that. However, if I were wearing your shoes, I would focus more on teaching the properties of sound money applied to Bitcoin instead of teaching the scoundrels of trading. Trading might deveplop the wrong mindset in youngsters as they will be likely to pay more attention to the quick profits of trading, than to understand the economic underlyings of Bitcoin. Trading may drive students to the shitcoinery and create the opposite effect we all seek which is Bitcoin educations, adoption, etc.
Totally recommendable and good initiative on what Op did and hope that others will be doing the same into those remote places on where bitcoin or crypto hadnt been heard off on which on this way at least do spread
up some awareness even on the smallest way or method as possible. It might not really be a huge step but it still something a thing that we do all appreciate because it do really adds up on overall
awareness and recognition of Bitcoin and on whole crypto market. Even myself wont really be seeing on able to achieve on buying a laptop just for the sake of such goal or
target in mind on spreading awareness.
1987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 13, 2022, 09:59:57 PM
Playing with play money or fake funds is never been entertaining or interesting.  Cry

When you are addicted then it would really be that common sense you would really be using real funds to create or gain real funds which you know that you can buy on something
not on playing on a game and trying to waste up your time on something garbage or doesnt have value.Quit gambling if you are willing to do so, so its better
not to engage with gambling at all because it would really be just repeat on the same scenario which you do still attached with gambling.
1988  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin Reduce the Global Wealth and Income Inequalities in 2022? on: July 13, 2022, 08:59:25 PM
There will never be total equality.

I guess not in the next 100-200 years for sure... But never say never! I think people will evolve eventually, probably after some crazy big disaster of some kind (and there are numerous threats around)... it's how we people learn, it needs to hurt a lot before we start changing the way of thinking!
You are when you said never say never but there is something that will never be possible if we want to be realistic.
Even in the next 300 years which you mentioned there will never be total equality and this is because of human greed and lust.
I think the main reason why there is never going to be equality is that people are not equally skilled, even if you were to give the very same education to two different kids you will get two different outcomes, and while one of them develops incredible and valuable skills the other will not have the same accomplishments, as such it is obvious society in general will appreciate more the skills of the first kid and reward him with more material possessions.
not equality skilled
not equal on opportunities
not equal on knowledge
not equal on country conditions
not equal on risk taking
not equal on making decisions

Equality could never happen on this world. There's always those people who would be sitting on the top.
The more money they posses the more power that they do have since they could do things all they want.
1989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People are not only gambling to win but they are buying entertainment on: July 13, 2022, 07:59:29 PM
We can only use gambling for fun and not think we are trying to win over and over again.
In fact, we will lose more often than we win so maybe we should just enjoy our time gambling and return to the next activity after our gambling time is over.
We must change our mindset of wanting consecutive wins because it is very difficult to get them.
But we can win once in a while especially if luck can come to us.
Gamblers who enjoyed playing gambling are the ones who are trying to beat the casino. Gamblers experience producing adrenalin and endorphins have goals and their goals are different, You won't get thrilled because you are just having fun with games. You are being thrilled as well as having fun because of the risk of the stakes you are betting to. Trying to have consecutive wins is a hard thing to do that's why gamblers are keep trying to achieve it because it's challenging. Entertainment differs on every person, Having goals to be achieved, being challenged and winning is one of the factors for me to achieve my kind of entertainment.
Not at all because seeking out entertainment and playing gambling could neither have both things whether finding leisure while seeking money or just purely seeking out entertainment out of those money had been spent.
We cant really make out conclusions since gambling is free for everybody to get deal with or engage on it and since we do have different mindset and impressions then expect that it would really be on having  that different outcome on every end of the line.On the time you are considering to play gambling then you should mind that you are paying for the entertainment that you do get on playing but people most of the time
do really mind off on how to make profits out of those money that they are gambling on.
1990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does staking even make any sense on: July 12, 2022, 11:48:54 PM

Staking very popular and in demand when cryptocurrency market rise. During the rise of the market many people earn more income for staking but whey cryptocurrency market falls many people stop staking and sell their assets.
If the staking reward less than the loss caused by the massive volatility I guess that makes a lot more sense instead of staking, staking is great if the trend lean towards rally otherwise most of the time the APY that you were offered doesn't really surpass the inflation that is caused by the current trend.
so basically only staking if the trend is bullish.

also, better stake coins that are promising or has the possibility to increase their value over time. because if not, you will just lose in this process. some people are into this earning type because some are just waiting for the right time to sell off their coins. while waiting, why not increase the number of your coins, right? but definitely, not all staking coins are worth waiting.
Not really that worth if we do  talk about future gains because it would be better if you do trade it up actively which you could earn more than on the percentage that you could earn on Staking.
Considering it do offers 10-12% APY or lesser but it wont really give out assurance since coin value does decrease which means it is really on high risk that you wouldnt really able to gain on
year time.So proper planning and choosing of coin  is really that much needed or relevant on doing so. There are still people who are really that fan on engaging into Staking
and some doesnt really get some interest or consideration on touching up this area because it isnt really just worth.
1991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 12, 2022, 10:59:17 PM
This really was an interesting thread because of the subject matter but after trolls and signature spammers started doing what they do, the thread has somewhat derailed. Gambling with fake money as an alternative to help those with gambling addictions defeats the object of trying to rehabilitate those in trouble.
Totally contradicting on what they are trying to aim, right? rehabilitating but still trying to play on using fake money or funds? that wont really able to solve out problem but instead it would even make it worst.
There's so much difference in playing between real money and fake ones and its a wrong mindset or belief that in avoiding addiction you should play with fake money?
thats not how it works. You would be finding yourself to be that desperate on using real money specially if you do find yourself to be profitable on the time you do make use of those fake funds.
So it would really just be on the same story on where you do still end up on playing gambling.
1992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Would you advise a focus on indicators or the market itself for a newbie. on: July 12, 2022, 10:18:35 PM
Indicators aren't 100% accurate but it provides a big help, especially for those who are struggling to analyze the market as well as the possible movements of coins. A newbie could rely on indicators but he must know the basics first and the importance of dealing with the volatility of the market as well as the fundamentals of trading so he would basically understand how indicators work.
There's no such thing about 100% accurate and we know that it cant be possible but its true that indicators do provide a great help at least on foreseeing things which you cant see on just staring up on a chart.
You could really have the basis and able to make analysis based up on what you do saw.So to speak about fundamentals and indicators then it would be ideal or good to have both. You could always combine
the two and just by said by others that not all the times that the market will create some news and events which you would tend to make use but if you cant see something then its just
right that you would make use of indicators so that you could make out decisions on different market conditions but of course it wont really be easy as it sounds.
1993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is for big bag holders on: July 12, 2022, 08:59:39 PM
After this experience I believe gambling is for the big bag holders, if you're in urge of making a win. Very much disappointed, because it is the last few dollars I had as a cryptocurrency holding. If I had more funds I wouldn't have encountered this big loss. Martingale once again a failed strategy when you don't have big bag of money.
I don't think so, rather I do think is more of greediness in gambling that leads people to loosing money whether it involves playing games or it involves gambling in trading.
The only secret to be successful in gambling is your right strategy and understanding what you're doing very well before betting your hard earned money.

I get what you're trying to say but even that so called secret of yours will not give you a guarantee to make you win, losses are really part of the process and that's inevitable except if you know what time and day is luck. Until then, you cannot really predict the outcome and it's also best to pick the fight you wanted, a fight where you have the most knowledge because that can increase your probability but again, it's won't still guarantee you a success.
We can differentiate in between;

Luck based
Strategic based

Type of gambling on where someone could really apply whether their knowledge and skills or having no skills on playing at all. Luck cant really be influenced by anything on this world so dont bother yourself
in related to this one.Gambling isnt just only for those big bag holders but its for everybody, as long you do have the funds then you are free to do so but of course there would be noticeable
difference in between to those who had bigger funds compared to those who do have less but in overall its a thing which you could spent out your time and money to enjoy.
1994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many Crypto Projects Will Die on: July 12, 2022, 07:59:27 PM
Specialists believe that Bitcoin and good ecosystem projects will survive the crypto winter and grow, but many won't make it. Some fiat money will also die.
https://www.vanticatrading.com/post/many-crypto-projects-will-die
Have you ever seen Bitcoin can't survive all seasons? for me, it is not necessary to require an expert or specialist in deciding a statement. Even beginners will know that only Bitcoin is truly compatible in all seasons. No matter how deep the bear market is, Bitcoin remains the only one that survives. If you look at the winter impact on altcoins, almost all of them cannot recover 100%.
Only noobs and fudders are the only ones who do say that bitcoin would be dead or this entire market is over without even thinking that this market had passed through lots of storms and unfortunate events
but still end up on recovering because not all the times we would be staying up on a bear market forever. There's always a recovery but people do really easily  get freaked out on the time they've been seeing
that everything is dropping or plummeting. It is really just common sense that there would be lots of projects would die and wont able to survive this specially on a bear market but of course
lots would be surviving too thats why its not an assurance even if you do put on several projects in the market to survive.
1995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Grand Lotto Winner on: July 11, 2022, 11:31:36 PM
Being mentioned the winner's name in public or not, there are always people who will try to do bad actions. We don't know what's on the mind of these people. Let's just hope that there will be no cases of inappropriate actions that these winners will experience at the hands of these types of people. I also think of that too once I become a jackpot winner (yes I always bet on the lottery here about 4-5 times a week). But before that safety procedures, I like to win first as that safety can be planned later.

But with this recent news about winners, I have never seen yet a worst-case scenario happened to these winners.

It's all good and hopefully, it will keep that way.

Mentioning the name is a very big no-no and its just that common sense that organizers wont really be doing that because they would really be thinking of the safety of the winner
because winning millions on a jackpot lottery is just too big and we know that there are indeed criminals which would really be thinking neither abducting or something in related
for that someone if ever they would really be getting any hint on where he/she do lives.Mentioning the place or city wont really be that much in concern
because no one will really be intending to find every person who do live on that vicinity.
1996  Economy / Economics / Re: WHY ITS SO POSITIVE THIS BEARMARKET. on: July 11, 2022, 11:27:42 PM
Quote
Very basic thing I believe upon the market. There is good understanding about the market, if not whenever the market turns bearish automatically fear accompanies and people tend to sell in bunches. This time this isn't experienced much and the same is out of real understanding, which lets them hold believing in the future growth of cryptocurrencies.

Yes, Many traders has learned from their mistakes never to sell their coins during bearish season than to hold and watch for the bullish season to appear before they can sell to make a good profits. It will be difficult for traders to miss this opportunity of bearish season that is flowing from last two months till now for people to buy at low price because the price of the coins will soon increase higher for those that embraced the opportunity to buy a huge amount of coins to get ready for a massive rewards.
Only a few would really be having the courage on doing so specially to those who do have already the experience and also does have the money for them to do so.Not all would really be
seeing on the same perspective and having the same impressions towards bear market. Some could see some opportunity and some could really see  that this is the demise or end of this market.
This is why people should make realize theirselves that on a bear market doesnt automatically mean that it is really pertaining to losses but rather you should really be thinking off on the
opportunities that it do gives on a certain investor/trader. So its up to someones taking and decision whether they would make out such step or not.
1997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any changes experienced within body - Gambling??? on: July 11, 2022, 10:59:14 PM
Personally, I get an urge of greed like every other human, which is natural. That's what makes us win more? or I lose if you are bad at it.
Humans are born with a survival mentality, we either win and exit, or we lose and exit. There is no in-between for sure.

If you are facing changes like "Addiction", you need to stop gambling and even get some help.
Not really good for your mental health.

Having some sense or urge of greed is pretty normal as a human being but that specific attitude is needed to be tamed and controlled because that could possibly put you into a risky situation where there's no turning back, you know, greed is always a factor and most of the result when you let greed control you is not good. Which is also why it is pretty much needed to have a goal in mind and know where to draw our lines if ever we decide to gamble.

from what I could observe from people in my country who are close to me and who have been playing games of chance for years, greed was something I saw that they didn't have, but they had something more dangerous: "not knowing how to give up" this factor of the person not accepting that he is losing a lot and that it is time to stop? this is something that many people who are in the gambling world don't have. few people know when is the time to stop, to give up
Stopping or giving up would only be just possible or would happen when they dont have anymore money from their pocket for them to spend and this had been always the case and its not surprising.
About changes on the body then it would neither be an old or existing kind of illness and just come out when you do get yourself too stressed with gambling or worsen up the condition.
which on the time you've been losing then it do really create some problems to be more obvious or could really be seen.We cant tell precisely if there would be changes just because
of the activity you've been dealing with but we know that how much can stress could affect a certain persons body on general perspective.
1998  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading really worth it? on: July 11, 2022, 09:59:01 PM
Trading is definitely worth the effort. The question is a bit different - the trader's readiness to work. For example, I tried my hand at working on a demo account of Amarkets broker. This allowed me to understand whether I should use such an industry for work.
Trading is ok as long as you know what to do, it’s all about your effort to learn things about trading because it can make a big change for you. You can only say its worth it if you already experience it, trading can be more profitable once you executed your plans so better start planning. There’s a lot of successful traders here, they all started from the scratch, use it as your motivation.
But you should put up into your mind that trading doesnt really guaranteed out or making those things happen on whats into your mind.Expect the unexpected and this should people treat trading because its not really
simple as it sounds yet not all would really be that successful nor do really  takes a very long time for you to have a good grasps on trading and people should really be mindful in regarding on this one.
Is it worth it? Yes of course but it depends on how much effort  and time you would really be putting and you would normally be facing lots of trial and errors before you could able to have a good
grasps on it.Never ever make yourself that too confident that you could make a good grasps on everything because trading isnt really that easy.
1999  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which crypto sportbooks are VPN friendly on: July 09, 2022, 09:46:39 PM
From your story, I think that if you want to access gambling sites, you can use a premium VPN instead of a free VPN because it can help you access gambling sites. Even on premium VPNs, you may find IPs from your country that are not blocked by your country's ISP (if your country allows gambling). But if indeed your country blocks gambling and your country are on the blacklist of casino sites, it is better not to try to access the casino because it can cause problems for you.

Well, not everybody want to pay for VPN service and they are rather very expensive because they are not pricing packages by country's purchasing power like some other sectors do. I'm pretty sure you don't want to give ~1/20 of your wage every month just for a premium VPN service, most sane people don't.
It's really annoying that governments completely shut the door on such a large industry, it's not just because they can't get taxes. They block such sites due to religious nonsense and interfere with people's lifestyles. There are options like Cyprus and Batumi for physical casinos, but online gambling has a different place and it shouldn't be that hard to go in.
It could really just neither Religious or Tax kind of concern on why government do really prohibits out or make some ban just because they do like it and us citizens then there's nothing we can do but to abide with these
things and its true that no one will really be that willing on spending out for monthly payment for VPN just to access out the sites that we do love to engage on.
For on topic reply then majority of crypto sportsbook that we do have today or into this market doesnt really have that much restriction when it comes to countries that wouldnt be allowed to access
but if you do really love to have that peace of mind then you could really see their terms and conditions and see for yourself about on those sites been listed out
if your country is included and if it is then  its just common sense that you do need to find another one.
2000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: July 09, 2022, 08:52:34 PM
KYC is being weaponized by the casinos. When they think the player won “too much” money, they ask for KYC and then even you give them your data, they tell you that can’t tell you about the process because it is against the law blablabla and your money will be seized by the casino just like that. The exchanges do it too. That’s why people hate KYC wholeheartedly. Most of the time KYC is a tool for shielding the scammers.

The funny thing is that the document verification process can take an incredible amount of time, and while this process is going on, the casino/exchange will use your money for free. Most of all, the asymmetry of the process infuriates me - everyone is ready to accept my money without any KYC, but when I want to withdraw it, various obstacles arise.
Some sire requires you first to fill up the KYC before allowing you to deposit some money so by this, you still have the time to think if you are going to push through and play on that site. If ever you see this as not possible and you don’t want to provide any personal details, then you still have the option to leave. In a case of withdrawal, I think its suspicious if they will ask for any KYC while they allow you to gamble in the first place, and most probably you don’t have any choice anymore because you can’t get your money if you didn’t comply, KYC is becoming a normal thing now.
Asking for KYC on the time you do make out withdrawal is something that a shady act by someone or site to do such thing on which they should have asked out on the time where people do make out registration. This is why
people are really very that keen when it comes to dealing with sites that do ask out KYC.We do know that majority do really loves anonymity on which they arent exposing their identity to any services or platforms out there
but since regulations becomes stricter and just as we do know that gambling site businesses specially licensed ones would definitely need to comply on whats been asked thats why they dont really be having any option but
to comply or else that would really be giving a big effect into their company or simply it would really be closed down. They do know that community doesnt really like that way but as a business then they should really be
