1581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won $128,000 and it's been a week waiting for game provider verification on: November 20, 2022, 09:32:02 PM
<...>but after I pressed they essentially admitted that I won more than they bring in.
That's a scam, then. A proper casino should manage its bankroll in a decent way and never allow you to win something they can't pay out. If they do, by action or omission they are a scam. It's a pity that we can't do anything about them from here, as they are not known on the forum.
I don't think it's a scam if they have attempted to process some of the op's winning and maybe that's the only thing they can pay for now while they are still looking for more funds and settled them later on. The perfect term to call them rather, is unprofessional.

I agree it isn't a scam since the casino paid some of the money and I believe they promise to pay the rest when they have enough money.  This case isn't new, as far as I remember there is also similar case where the complainant won a huge amount of money and the casino can't give him the winnings in one go.  So the casino tried to pay him weekly until all his winnings is given.

It's not only about managing a bankroll but a proper/professional casino knows what are the things that is possible like what if some players win huge? They will think of ways on how to handle it, either by injecting more funds or by putting a bet limit on their games. Many casino have this function already. This casino here is not known in the forum before but now that this issue arise. Many are now aware of them.

I believe that casino doesn't think that someone will win a huge amount of money.  I think they are relying that players will lose and they can accumulate huge amount from those losses and eventually their bankroll will have the ability to pay high rollers if incase they hit huge wins.  but it looks like the huge wins comes early than the anticipated funds from player losses.

I can agree that there was a similar situation here, a gambling site which has thread on this forum.
I have read that they arranged a weekly or monthly payment to the user as they can't afford to pay it in one shot.
If the casino offered such payment arrangements, then, accept it. As long as they will pay you in the scheduled time rather than not receiving at all.
You can understand such situation will arise if the casino is not so big, and they can't pay up big winnings.
The casino should have put a bet limit if they can't accommodate such big winnings. I believe this will be their lesson on this situation.
The OP's casino I believe, doesn't have their own thread in the forum, so hard to reach out to them via this forum, better keep up with their site's support.
You wouldnt really be having any other option but you would really be accepting that kind of arrangement rather than on not to be get paid at all. This is a negligence of casinos part
where they should have set out those maximum bet before they do really make out that fully operational because it cant really be avoided that there would really be people
who are extremely lucky for them to hit up those jackpots and if you arent able to set those betting limits then for sure your business would be fucked up.
How you would gonna pay those winners? For sure they would really be demanding on what they have won, and on this case if you cant give out directly
then this is where issues would be raised out.
1582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A reminder about the media on: November 20, 2022, 07:59:36 PM
The media have to sell their products and they need to sensationalise their cover story
especially when it comes to Bitcoin and crypto. The only ones who will be influenced by
these are the same game who will react negatively to the markets. Bitcoiners won't be
affected by what the media report.
Doesnt trust up media since from the beginning.Yes, they might impose up some news but not all of them are precise and honest. Some of them are part of a propaganda which it doesnt surprise me.  Cool
Making ourselves fully aware on whats the trend isnt bad, but you should really know on how to make yourself emotinally strong whenever you do be able to read up some FUD or obviously
just trying to make the market trend even more worst.Usually you cant really be affected with these kind of news or fundamentals if you've been around for this market for some time.
You cant really just easily trust up on what the media been showing off most of the time.
1583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How are Online casino's and sports betting platforms coping? on: November 19, 2022, 01:23:02 PM
How do you think online casinos and sports betting platforms are adjusting to manage the situation?

People take to gambling when the economy becomes tough like we have everywhere in the country now. They think gambling creates more and easy chances of making money and they go patronising them. There are new casinos and gambling sites springing up everyday and I guess this present hardship helps their businesses.

I feel the same way, like they're unaffected or even doing better in this economy.
We have rising prices of goods and services, high inflation, dropping stocks. The average guy who has his habits like smoking, drinking, gambling, is still going to do it. The situation isn't that bad when it comes to your needs and addictions. You won't have enough money to take a loan, buy a new car or travel but you will still have that $50 to bet on your soccer team.

This is actually true and same goes into those lottery bettors as well on which even if we are on that hard situation in terms or talks of day to day living which you do still have the money on allocation on buying a ticket.
Same goes for those gamblers who do really be able to find a way for them to have the money for them to gamble. This industry is something becomes bigger as years passing by, although we had seen
that experience about the pandemic situation where it did really make up some toll in terms of revenue specially on physical casinos but totally opposite into those online ones.
They are indeed coping because if they dont then lots of business on this industry had already closed up their doors.
1584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to prevent cheating in a game on: November 19, 2022, 12:46:02 PM
Playing gambling in a fraudulent way is the same as playing without enjoying and is not professional in playing gambling, and playing gambling without cheating you will find out your quality and skills in playing are much better and very enjoyable, apart from knowing the deficiencies that must be corrected or improved so that you can win naturally.
I really hate and oppose people who play gambling in a fraudulent way, because it is the same as taking other people's rights in a way that is not good and also stupid.
You arent playing on fair way on the first place if you do really think up on cheating because we know that gambling is for entertainment and if you do have
that kind of intent into your mind about cheating or taking advantage against the house if you do able to do so.Then its simply already illegal act or something not that ethical
thing to be done.Just like the rest been saying that cheating or exploiting a gambling site is never been easy even into physical places as well on which it is really
that impossible for you to make such act because once you do get caught then you are fucked up.
1585  Other / Archival / Re: Entrepreneurship or Office job? on: November 19, 2022, 11:35:57 AM
I think the easiest thing for me who has just graduated from school is an office job, and I have been working in the office for about 8 months even with a small salary, of course I plan to become Entrepreneurship if I already have good capital and skills so I can be successful and not tied anymore with routine and working hours.
I did office job for around 16 years and during COVID - I was jobless.
It was very tough time - and I started my small ventures - they are not big profits but they are not loss either. So I prefer small personal ventures with office jobs.

Same likewise I lost my job some few months before COVID but the good thing that helped me was my poultry off growing thousands of birds helped as well with the delivery of those manures and waste dump's gotten from the bird's. It was hectic though but having daily profits trump's office jobs pre- COVID, during Covid and after COVID, there's no way you can settle for office jobs alone.
Yes, but there are people who are really that having ego on not to take those kind of dirty type of business or jobs because its not really something appealing to look at but on general sense
which these things could really save you up on times of hardship specially if it does talk about having an income or salary. Its up to someones choice on where he would be able to survive on everyday living.
Not all does really have the opportunity nor have the position on acquiring up these things on point on the time of problems. The main goal or mindset should we have is to survive our self
and also with our loved ones and trying to achieve on life which doesnt have problems when it comes to finances.
1586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to prevent cheating in a game on: November 18, 2022, 10:30:13 PM
As a gambler we always put winning first in our minds because nobody will want to place a bet when he already knows that he will loose,it is like throwing away your funds. Since winning brings happiness to us and we feel like playing more games for fun,I guess most gamblers can even go at length to cheat if they can.

I could remember back then as kids we get carried away in any game that we play due to the excitement we derive from the game, therefore we look for a way to cheat in other to win the game. So many gamblers have thought or looked for different ways in which they can understand how to cheat  in the game they are gambling on so that they can win, while some so that they can just keep on playing over and over again.

As a gambler what prevention measures will you take in other not to cheat on your game that you know a way on cheating to win or will you go ahead and cheat ?
If I could, I would definitely do it, however, I can't.

I don't think it's likely someone can easily cheat on a gambling game whether they are slots, dice, card games, or even sports betting. Most of the gambling platforms either offline or online have made their games impossible to cheat on and have given all the precautions to avoid it. The only thing we gamblers can do is to minimize our chances of losing through strategies, research, and statistics but still, it will depend on our luck to win these games.
They are running off a business which they would really be get rid of those possible cheating probabilities which would cause huge losses or even bankruptcy of their business which it would really be that
common sense that they would really be getting rid of those things because thats one of the risk on which they got been cheated. Cheaters would really be always there which is mostly
who do have knowledge when it comes to coding and programming specially on online casinos but same as you said that almost 100% cant really be able on doing
so considering that security is really not that something you could easily bypass on.
1587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall still possible? on: November 18, 2022, 08:52:20 PM
now many exchanges are doing public audits of their funds that they have to reassure users.People are massively withdrawing their funds from the exchange because it has become unsafe.I think closer to the new year, the state of the market will be better and the noise around the bankruptcy of the FTX will subside. The situations were worse,so I wouldn't worry and on the contrary,I bought what is now much cheaper.
Correct, they are being transparent with their funds in their wallet for the customers end and people being panic thus moving their money to different wallet is pretty much normal because of this whole situation. Still it's a long time before this situation ends as the bearish market is still going until today by the price of some big coins are declining. Just be prepare for the worst case possible.

Exchange is trying to calm the investors and the traders. The situation is still unsafe from panic sellers who are fearing to get stuck with the situation. They are trying to assure that they have the fund to keep the exchange safe.

With the collapse of FTX, it's no longer new that there are many people who invested
to this industry are now re-assessing their position, either they will continue to buy
and support or they will move their money away from the market and abandoned
this industry.
Confidence is currently be greatly affected as of this moment which i couldn't really blame the community since we've seen the worst cases specially on events attached with exchange
platforms and issues which is correlated to it. Trust is really been greatly affected but we know that when the dust settles and if everything do really looks back to normal
then this is where people or investors would be starting up on ignoring the risk and would really be going back again as were before.
Speaking about downfall then its always been possible and there's no changes on that.
1588  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto raffle game idea | feedback required on: November 17, 2022, 11:29:21 PM
People would like to buy a ticket if they wanted to chance to win $10k the next 12 hours or less. And I doubt you will manage to sell 10,000 tickets so fast.

That's too much numbers to imagine Smiley, I even doubt that he will able to sell hundred tickets in few days. Even if he does not take any fee from the pool, this kind of raffle/lottery game is not attractive and it will be very hard to survive. Raffle that will be drawn after all tickets are sold can be called as a waiting game, it can be a very long game especially if there is no expiration time of each round. If there is an expiration time, lets say 24 hours, high likely the draw will not happen as the tickets are not all sold unless the raffle is limited with few tickets only for the draw.
^If you have a few tickets only and let us say only 100 or 200 tickets, it is very easy to manipulate the ticket if this is very cheap but if you will increase the price for sure no one will help you. I already said, this kind of game is a boring game in which you need to wait before knowing the result. Look around here to take an example, if you see, it is rare that there is a gambling casino that exists through raffle games. I think most of them did not survive.
Looking for an update by the OP too if the OP still wanted to continue this kind of game.
Filling the slot before the round do make a draw then it is really a tiring kind of thing which you do need up to wait and just like been said by other that not all
could really afford nor have the patience on waiting up for some time before they could know the result of the game or draw. Its true that if we do look around
then there's no much sites that been offering lottery games. There might be some who do offer but as you can see that there are no players or bettors
would be playing on that game which does prove out that interest isnt really that high or zero at all.
1589  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: waiting to buy lower? on: November 17, 2022, 10:52:53 PM
You have a point because any price Bitcoin is bought in this current market or below the ATH price is a good investment but there's nothing bad in waiting for the bottom price either to maximize profit-making chance since from the last 2 months of the bearish market year till the first 2 months of the next year are always the time where the bottom price is achieved.
With that being said. What matters is the decision made during the opportunity the market presented.
According to coingecko, the bitcoin price is still -76% off at the moment. Investors can take advantage of this momentum to buy a lot, but I would tend to see most of them cautious rather than buying at this point. There are a number of issues to consider at this time including a crisis of confidence in exchange centralization. Many users started withdrawing their funds in online accounts which made FUD more and more.

If investors are confident and believe that -76% is the best price to buy then I think they will make a decent return in the next 2-3 years for their current risk. I'm trying to stay optimistic that the market will recover, but ATL might happen again during the panic.
I check Coinmarketcap the data was also -76% off the ATH price which is still a good time for accumulation but I am optimistic about the market making any form of recovery now not to talk about making ATH price during this panic because what happened in the FTX firm is something that triggered the loss of a lot of giant company in the crypto market.
Apart from that, the last bottom price of the BTC market is always within 80-90% since the market hasn't had a downtrend of at least -80% I am not optimistic about any bullish trend now.
Make yourself be that versatile when it comes to possible conditions that you might faced on specially on this very unpredictable market. If we do check out the statistics in speaking about ATH and ATL
then we could really make out some comparison on which we do really base up our decisions in related to it.Each person does have their own analysis and ends up on different approach when it comes to
price condition or the situation that we are facing on the market.Buying opportunity for this time wont really be that a bad idea but there are people who do really wait up for further lows
and dumps which they do really think up about maximizing possible profits on the time that the market will really be making out some recovery.
1590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Game Have You Won The Most From And How Much In Total? on: November 17, 2022, 10:07:23 PM
1. Do you believe there are some games that carry ill luck with them, that no matter how long and how much the player wager, he or she never win significant amount of money?

2. Which game have you won the most amount of money from?, and how much in total did you win from that game?
Maybe you can also mention the game provider(Pragmatic, Evolution   etc.) so we can search for the game on our respective casinos and try it out.

1. Luck isnt something that on your side always and there's no way for you to find out if you are lucky or not unless if you do know the outcome or results.
This is the time you would really be able to tell yourself whether you are lucky or unlucky.

2. I dont remember yet i do play different variety of games basing on my interest.I cant remember on where i do win big the most because i do usually
ends up on losing in the end of the line after some sessions, this is why im not really that minding much whether i do lose or win big on certain
games.Whats important is that i do really enjoy those times.
1591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not your key not your coins is real, not just quoted. on: November 17, 2022, 08:56:39 PM
There are already wallets where you can keep the private key with free and open source, I don't know why they don't think that. I don't know why they believe the exchange than himself?
The reason some people leave their coins on exchanges is because they are ignorant. Some people do not know the differences, all they know is that they want to buy and hold some bitcoin or any other crypto. Some people will even tell you that Binance is a wallet.

My advice is that if the amount to hold is large, cold storage is better (because it is secure and safer) than hot wallet that can be hacked. If cold storage wallet can not be created by newbies, they can get a hardware wallet that is open source.
Having cold wallet is one of the most secure storage methods so definitely, it’s way better than other wallets that are connected in the internet. Whether the amount to keep is small or large, it’s best to keep it in a private or in a cold storage. Not your keys, not your coins, this is really true as you don’t have to trust other wallets or exchanges, except from your personal one.
People had just made out decisions on using up online, exchange platform and other wallets which are centralized and non custodial due to some obvious reasons. It is really just they do really
make themselves really that confident when it comes to safety or security of their coins but to mind off on what are the things that happened in the past will really make you tell that its never
been recommendable on making them as a storage.Nothing beats out on a wallet which you do possess its keys. Its never been that recommendable on trusting up that
much and forget about security.
1592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing $350,000 because of a friend, what would you do? on: November 16, 2022, 11:50:51 PM
I know this is likely not to happen in real life. But let's say it did. What would you do?

1. This is not losing 350k, it's.. not winning 350k.
2. This cannot happen because afaik nobody is allowed to touch your chips, even if that one is with you/your friend. An I wrong?

Let's not confuse movies with reality.

That movie can only fool those who do not understand roulette and physical casinos if we take the scenario seriously he can protest the results because his friend who is not the bettor touched the chips so his action is invalid, his bet should be the one that is counted and should go home with the $350k, but if the bet is invalid his friend just burn the bridge on their friendship, it will take years to forget that $350k is such a huge amount to forget easily.
Could neither be forgotten or would really be as good like forever on which you would definitely cutting your friendship. For some 350k might not be something worth but
honestly this is already a life changing amount for most people and if someone do touches up your bet and missed out that opportunity then you cant really avoid not
to punch him on the face on what he had done. You would really be cutting off ties on making him as a friend but its true that this one could really be debated on
considering that casinos arent allowed for sudden changes of bets unless if the bettor itself do make out such changes on the go.
1593  Other / Off-topic / Re: Time management on: November 16, 2022, 10:50:07 PM
Time management is indeed very important to be able to carry out all the activities that we have created. And if we still can't manage our time properly, we just need to try it continuously and start to be disciplined. It's a bit hard to start or try it because we are used to what we are doing now, so this requires more effort to make new habits. Thus, we can leave old habits and have new habits that are better than before where we can have good timing for our lives. I am also still trying to learn about time management.
We do all know that time is gold and we should really properly be managing our time as its finest or the most possible right way on making ourselves to be that productive so that it won't really be that
a wasteful thing to be consider on and finding yourself on the right track on achieving your goals on the fastest and efficient way as possible. Not only on time management but also in emotional aspect
as well where these things could affect out on your decisions right ahead. Lots of factors which are really that needed and if you do able to follow out then you wouldnt
really be finding things to be difficult when it comes to making decisions.
1594  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 - The copycat epidemic within crypto casinos. on: November 16, 2022, 09:49:31 PM
I read some incredible comments in this thread by people who has absolutely no clue :-) Exit scam of the casino... What ?

In regards to all the blatant copycats I can say only one thing, stay away. I opened this website "punt" and this is nearly a copyright infringement in my humble opinion. A business that cannot invest in it's own original design is simply laughable, the person who came here to this forum to promote this joke of a website should be ashamed of himself
These copycats do really believe that they could really be able to get some marketshare which the original site is gaining currently which is a bullshit kind of idea or belief on mind.
People on this community does really hate up copycats but cant really be denied that there are still people who do easily get hook into something which is similar to this.
Its never been good on looking or dealing up on a site which had obviously copied out other popular sites design which is almost identical but people should
really be watching it out because being new does mean that reputation and credibility isnt proven out yet.
1595  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reminders to all Crypto Lovers on: November 16, 2022, 09:14:48 PM
This means that we saw a lot of money put their money as a whole, the "business" worked as intended for many years, but then one day suddenly they just stopped and took our money and left. That’s the scary part and it could happen and that type of scam is horrible.
therefore, we don't need to put much trust in any exchange platform. never put your money there, especially if you are going to leave it for a long time. scams like this are scary. but with what's been going on, it's sure to be a rewarding experience for anyone putting their money into the exchange. be more careful with the assets we have. own assets by having the keys in our hands.

Yes, it's true that saving our assets on the exchange may not be wise.
Let alone putting everything on exchange for such a long time, really can't imagine how terrible it could be.
Of course there have been a lot of frauds that have occurred, even though we are always vigilant and careful and store assets in our wallet with our own key.
Even not just beginners but even advanced ones sometimes still fall into the traps of hackers.
Hackers always have many ways to try to find loopholes to steal our assets.
But differentiating newbies to veteran ones when it comes to awareness and steps been made then it would really be that noticeable. Its true though that there's no such thing about 100% safe
but having that awareness then you are more that aware on how to deal up with these things along the way. Some might really be able to end up as a mistake but most of the time
you would be able to avoid such risks considering that you are really that fully aware on whats happening around.
Always be vigilant with your crypto assets, and you should really make sure on making use of your common sense.
1596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling techniques on: November 15, 2022, 10:54:11 PM
Strategies don't work for everyone, someone like me relies strictly on luck, sometimes i try applying some strategy but nothing works so i make random decisions especially on dice. I have to monitor the pattern of play and draft out a strategy to use sometimes it works sometimes it fails
Actually strategies don't work for everyone since it's luck based games, there's no strategy at all. It not because your strategy if you ever get huge win, it's just because you're very lucky at that time. Even though you're not use that strategy, you will win and get that huge multipliers. It's different with skill based games e.g. poker, sports, etc that really need skills. If you're not familiar and have enough knowledge in skill based games, you will loss more.
Even if you do make use of the same strategy then it doesnt mean that it would work on you and its true that luck factor would always be playing a huge role when it comes to these kind of conditions.
We might really be seeing that others are winning but not into you which does simply imply that there's no fixed strategy that would really be putting yourself into such advantage condition.
Dealing with luck based games and having some strategies doesnt ensure or assure winning chances on higher basis but rather it would be relevant if you do deal up with
strategic based which it would be sensible if you do get in line with that.
1597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the Bear take control long-term? on: November 15, 2022, 09:49:27 PM
How will the crypto market perform post-market turmoil? Will the bear take control long-term?

If you've been here on this market for years then you wont really be ending up on this kind of question. This market had experienced lots of bear and sideways movement in the past even up to now
which means if you've been here on this market for a while then you wont really be that get shocked nor get surprised on what we are currently experiencing now.
Its is really normal for a market to have this kind of trend which we cant really just be staying up to be bullish forever, there's always a balance in between bears and bulls
which you should really be wise on taking up decisions whether you do buy or sell.
1598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not Quitting only a break on: November 15, 2022, 07:57:52 PM

It has come to my notice that these people don't actually know what to do. instead of saying that they have quit they should know that they are actually  going on a gambling break..

More like somebody making a new year resolution at the beginning of the year especially the last minutes of the previous year not to continue with some nefarious attitude again in the new year but because they are only saying it by the tip of their tongue and with previous experience, they find themselves going back to their vomit when it seem like that experience have gone down. In gambling, I will hardly doubt someone that is consistently making profit easily in gambling to quit it, this is very rare. They quit when they are not having to win and that is drawing them down financially, they could be advised by their wife to quit.
As a gambler then you shouldnt really make yourself do comes into a point on where you are already financially broken before you to quit or make have some breaks. If you dont like on experiencing such thing
then you should really be having that a good control towards self when it comes to decisions you do make.If you do mean on quitting or taking a break then you should really do it, despite on getting
exposed on things that are related to gambling then its really hard to resist. It would really be testing out your discipline or self control which we know that
each people wont really be the same in level when it comes to tolerance which means that outcomes and decisions will really vary.
1599  Economy / Economics / Re: Is long-term employee retention a losing battle? on: November 15, 2022, 06:47:01 PM
If the company is too often changing employees, the company's long -term goals will be difficult to achieve, and of course it is a tiring thing if the company is only filled with new employees, the company must dare to invest by maintaining employees who have potential because if the loss of the employee then the company's long -term plan can fail .
Not necessarily a company that changes employees frequently, is not able to achieve long-term goals, this I often see in the area where I live. One example of a financial company, they rotate employees every two years, but long-term targets such as loans are going very well.
For me, the most important thing is that management, directors or heads of fields can work together to build a more advanced company, the concept lies in these three components in my opinion.
Doesnt matter if they are making out active shuffling or replacing of their employees or not then its still their rights on what they should gonna do into their company. If they do look for it to be relevant or useful then
they would be surely be doing that even it would really be getting those bad feedbacks or negative impressions by others but if it turns out to make productivity to be effective then they would really be sticking into that. They are the one who do run the company then there's no choice but to deal up with their system. So as an employee then you dont have any choice but to deal with it.
Its sad if you've been thinking about long term relationship but it cant be possible for this kind of company set-up.
1600  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Friends and Family members want me to invest for them, help! on: November 14, 2022, 10:55:14 PM
Now they want me to invest their own money on coins and they aren't ready to choose the coins they will like themselves.

After thinking this through and through I started feeling like they are doing this to hold me responsible if something goes wrong.

Is my thoughts right? If you are in my shoes what will you do?

You have to make a difficult decision, because in case of unsuccessful investment, your friends and acquaintances can show you claims that you have lost their money. Obviously, you need to explain to them the risks associated with investing in cryptocurrency, but which coin they need to buy, they must decide on their own.
It's very dangerous for someone make such decision of investing on somebody's, because it's very obvious that if the investment went wrong you that is handling the investment will held responsible, because they won't believe that it's the market sphere of cryptocurrency that caaused the lost of funds. So from my perspective, i will advice you to educate them what's investment of cryptocurrency is all about.
You would really be making yourself get prone on getting blamed when these investments would really be that on the bad side and this is something i dont really like where
there are people who are pointing fingers at me and been blaming on what they had lost. Its better to be quiet and tell them that they should do their own research and
made out their own decisions whether they would invest on their own or not.Just let them do know about the basics and the rest would really be entirely
depending on their hands on how they would really be learning up new things along the way.The rest would really be depending on common sense.
