Quote
poker still falls under the category of gambling, despite its status as a game of skill

Its absolutely gambling, theres no way even a good player wont have a day he is destined to lose because the cards dont come.   You cannot bluff everything, its a stop gap.   Im nothing close to good at Poker but I just wait for other peoples mistakes, problem is if you never have good cards which is totally possible then you lose the game that day.   Poker you win one day and always keep some because its going to be a loss another day you play, gambling overall is like that in handling the loss is part of the game.
People should have this kind of mindset that not everyday would be a profitable or winning day even if we do say that we are dealing with strategic based ones which we know that
we've been dealing with gambling then it would really be just normal that you would lose certain games on possible day which you should really make yourself that accept those probabilities
so that you wont really get disappointed or something like that because if not then it would really be creating that kind of desperation inside.
1782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are people doing except holding Bitcoin? on: September 12, 2022, 11:30:46 PM
Lol what? Rich people are the ones who are working their asses off and are saving their money.  Some of the richest people I know are those who'd you'd never expect it from.  Most rich people don't do any of these things you've listed out or perhaps do but in a limited fashion outside of working their butts off and savings.  Most of the people I know with bitcoin are simply owning and purchasing it along with other types of investment assets.
With just common sense where those rich people been doing then it is understandable that they would really be accumulating and owning different assets and  investments as much as they could. Its true that
they do work hard for that and its just deserving that they do reach out those kind of position where they are on that condition where money wont really be that a problem.Investing with Bitcoin? who knows
if they do accumulate or not but for sure it wont really be the main focus.Speaking about people been doing will really be definitely be varying with your financial condition which whether you would
taking up such decision or would just simply doing no action at all.
1783  Economy / Gambling / Re: Drake vs Stake part 2 on: September 12, 2022, 10:09:05 PM

Drake is advertising Stake,he will get paid for it. I love the way he makes people see that gambling is entertainment and not for profit. Even when losing he is still happy and act as if nothing happened.
Stake has a good business concept in bringing an influential person like Drake with 100k follower to lure people into gambling.

He is used to gambling for long hours too that is why he can spend so much time gambling. I really enjoyed the video
Actually gambling is entertainment so acceptable people understand it in another way because from what I'm seeing right now some people think that gambling is only the best place to make money not knowing that gambling is for entertainment it is cheap people who noticed that the gambling is fine that payment is not a place that you can make a money that is why some people do cry whenever their locks into gambling

gambling is truly enjoyable if you are using your own money without anything to worry about. just look at drake, for sure, he has no qualms spending thousands  of dollars in gambling. but if you are a person who is in tight budget, do you really think you will enjoy while you are seeing your bankroll continuously decline? but i can say, getting drake is indeed a good promotion for stake, even if we say, it is already deploying popular athletes as ambassadors. just look at how many instagram followers drake has.
You could really make out comparison in between numbers when it comes to followers which is something understandable. Its true that nothing beats out on getting the thrill and entertainment when you do make use of
your own money and its been clarified out that it was Drakes money which had been spent on stake despite of having those partnerships or what so called ties. Its been clarified already and its none of our business
if the money had been spent is on Drakes or on Stake. Its their business in between plus they do really mutually benefitted to each other.
1784  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to raise funding for trading? on: September 12, 2022, 08:59:17 PM

I know nothing about  fundraising so please guide me through this process for my better future.

Thanks.

This sounds very funny honestly.  Is their any different ways people raise fund in trading? It is either you are working to earn money , their is no magic about it. If your trading is not giving enough profit,  what you need to do is get a part time or full time job to support your trading.

Aside from that, if his trading result is a gain then it is more logical to just reroll the trading profit in order for him to get bigger fundings.  Honestly, I don't OP needed someone to increase his funding if he is in profit in his trades.  What I see here is that, OP is getting greedy and impatience to make huge amount of money in a short period of time by asking other people to fund his trading venture.  This kind of action carries more risk than any other kind of trading because he might be blinded by greed and since he already shown impatience, then there is no doubt, some trade will fail because of the impatient characteristics of OP.
re-invest,re-roll, compounding profits is the only way that he could really make his trading capital even more bigger because you cant really make yourself to reach out this kind of certain state if you do just rely on others
support which its true that on most people been saying that you cant really get any financial support here on this forum speaking with money or investment because they would rather make you look like a scammer.  Cheesy
Its better to make your capital bigger on your own if you dont really have any source of income or savings to make your capital bigger.Dont expect for some monetary support on any place online
because people cant really just trust you on and what guarantees that you could really give to them?
1785  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: September 10, 2022, 09:57:00 PM
Probably true overall the state of website data handling has progressed some, even ten years ago can be considered an initial period for the monetization of the internet.   Before BTC we used to say advertising was the currency of the internet for allowing the propagation and success of sites via views.  It was a poor proxy but more secure then handling currency directly, websites had to mature before becoming more capable unfortunately there was loss while that occured.
We cant deny the fact that gambling is not healthy activity - no matter how. many forum and event we hold to talk about the posistve impact of gambling
But we cannot say that gambling is inherently an unhealthy activity either, people love to play games in order to entertain themselves or to even learn, so it is not surprising that for example the video game industry has been growing at such an accelerated pace and the same is true for gambling, the problem is that people are unable to control themselves when they do it and they give gambling a bad reputation which is undeserved in my opinion.
Everything that had been created doesnt automatically be considered as bad but rather people really just too excessive on dealing up with things which do really end up on addiction
which is something that we should avoid on the first place.Dealing or engaging on particular things is never been a bad idea as long you do have that control then it is really just good.
You wont really be ending up on a bad path or ways or future if you do know and sensible in regarding with your actions but of course we do know that not all people are really just the same when it comes to
decisions made and this is why we do see different conditions or situations where people do fall out.
1786  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stressful crypto market on: September 10, 2022, 09:14:58 PM
Market will always be fluctuating so that we should never stress, rest assured that the market will soon improve and today it is proven because it rises more than 8%, I'm sure there will be many who say regret when we don't buy at prices below $ 20k, but if we have money then then Immediately buy even though it's now $ 20700, I'm sure in September it can reach at least $ 25K.
We can't guarantee the price of the market even how hard we track and trace the possible events in the market since there are many factors that is affecting how the market reacts. At this time I focus more on having more bitcoin and trading only known altcoins. Before when the market is not this low I tried to invest in some new or altcoins that are being hyped and sold when already in profit but at times like this I focus more in coins that already prove that they can survive their value even the market experience a huge dump.
Even a small news that could go big on the media could change the price of crypto which means that even if we do track everything then it is not going to be easy to predict what is going to happen. I believe that the best way to make sure crypto is doing fine, would be to hold it because even if there are bear markets like this year, I guarantee you that bull markets will come again.

2017 was a wonderful year but 2018 wasn't, then 2019 happened and saw the price go 2x higher. We had the amazing 2021 year and the 2022 bear year as well, which means in 2023 it could very well go to 40k if the history repeats itself and I do not see why it can't.
But we know that not all people does have the patience on holding for too long thats why they are minding on how they should deal with the price on a short span of time or manner. Not all does have that kind a plan in mind thats why they are really that serious on talking and testing out current phase of the price movement basing on the sentiments around. Its true that most of the time whenever media do really make out some
sort of news whether been hyped or some sort of fud then its not surprising that this market is really making out whether it would be moved or cant really be affected.
This market is indeed stressful but at the same time this is really the best place to make profits in short time or long time if you do know on what you are doing.
Just really make yourself that prepared.
1787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: September 10, 2022, 08:53:40 PM
I do not know any nations with 17 dollars per month salary, maybe daily? That is a super low amount, I do not think that even the poorest nations would have such a thing maybe aside from Venezuela, even my nation which is doing horrible in economy, has like 250 dollars per month to 300 dollars per month minimum wage, it is still quite low of course but not 17, that is just too wild. In that regard 850 dollars investment could be found by just signature campaigns and you would be a wealthy person from the income of that alone, plus all the investments you could do.
17 dollars per month minimum wage look unrealistic to me maybe per day as you have rightly said, my country has a minimum wage of about $30 a month and this is 18 thousand naira in my local currency until recently the government increased it to $47 that is 33 thousand Nigeria naira which is still very poor considering the cost of living that has increased greatly since after covid 19. So a $17 minimum wage is quite an unthinkable amount to earn as a worker because that amount will cripple workers purchasing power and the inflation rate will skyrocket in such an economy.
Dont know on where you do get those 17 which $47 is currently the lowest monthly salary.

Cuba. 47.33 USD.
Congo. 82.94 USD.
Tajikistan. 133.68 USD.
and so on....

https://www.paylab.com/top-salaries/rankings/top-20-countries-lowest-salary?lang=en

So just like you do said that it was really indeed impossible unless if it wasnt really that an actual permanent day job.?
1788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines" Is this a joke? on: September 09, 2022, 11:44:55 PM
Playing before bed when you are already lying in bed with a smartphone seems like a convenient option to play for half an hour or an hour, but from my own experience I can say that gambling can throw me off balance (win or lose) and eventually I will have trouble falling asleep. In my youth this was not a problem, but now I have to take it into account. It's quite funny how age and marital status affect our attitude towards gambling.

that's because you need a balanced brain chemistry to sleep
usually serotonin is transformed into melatonin that makes you feel relaxed and asleep
gambling will usually flood your brain with exciting neurotransmitters, it can definitely ruin a good night of sleep

I know very well the chemistry behind it all. The problem is that we can't do anything about it and end up back where we started - it's not easy for a family man to find time to gamble. And the advices in the first post that seems absurd to some people (who are obviously freer than family people) actually makes sense.

It would be great if that happened to me. I would actually avoid playing before bed. because I was worried that I would lose the game and it made me want to keep playing. When I'm not in control, then I will make more deposits, and this will bother me even more to be able to tide comfortably. This is what I experienced, of course it will different from what was experienced by other members in this forum.

Do you mean changing marital status or not gambling before bed? I didn't understand what you want. In fact, I don't even know what to achieve easier, haha.

there's always the option of taking a break from gambling or not gambling at all
in the end there are so many healthy hobbies to pursue other than wasting money for a little bit of excitement and very little chance of earning more
Some people doesnt really feel out some excitement when it doesnt really involved money thats why they do really end up on engaging with gambling because of this intent. Some does really have
good self control and some doesnt really have this kind of discipline which do really ends up on spending more.1% in overall salary or income wont really be bad thing but just what
been said by most people about spending 1% wont really be that enough for you to justify on the leisure or entertainment you do seek off thats why
ending up on spending more which it isnt that surprising.
1789  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid loan apps, a word of advice. on: September 09, 2022, 10:33:29 PM
You cant really just borrowed up something and seems like there's nothing happened. You should obliged yourself on repaying those with interest.
The loan is a curse - it makes person miserable.
You take it and it's hard to pay back the loan - and the interest and the installment - especially when you are scammed and lost for good and get nothing at the end.
It is indeed a curse but only into those people who doesnt really repay those loans. You havent been forced ou taking a loan and they didnt reach up into you and saying that take a loan
and will provide it on which you would really be deciding on taking but on the time you would really be repaying then this is where problem begins because you do need to pay up on the exact date.
If you arent that a good payor then its better not to take up some loan and just better to spend your extra money on whatever things you are tending to buy or invest on.
Avoid loan as much as you could or possible.
1790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are all crypto gambling charges expensive when it comes to USDT? on: September 09, 2022, 08:56:57 PM
Its using up erc20 which it wouldnt be a surprising thing on why fee is really that high compared if it do use up Tron then it would really be just too cheap.
USDT could have these chains.
Ethereum
Tron
Algorand
Solana
Avalanche
Polygon
https://www.coindesk.com/learn/2022/06/01/what-is-tether-how-usdt-works-and-what-backs-its-value/

If there's some hover on what chain should be used then it would be always better on choosing the other option around.
1791  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are candlestick patterns overrated? on: September 09, 2022, 07:59:23 PM
How can it be overrated ? Everything in trading depends on candlesticks. By looking at the candlestick charts, you can determine when it is good to invest or when it is bad.  How would we get the signals if there was no candlestick? I think this question has no logic because trading analysis fully depending on candle stick . So I can't agree with that it's overrated.
Candlesticks are very important, this is our basis for our indicators and with this, you can also know when to buy and sell. This is not overrated and actually the purpose of the candlesticks missed by most of the trader because they are too focus with the other indicators, and they forgot the fundamental of other indicators. Candlesticks works perfectly on it’s purpose, better to focus on this as well.
Personally I used candlestick patterns for forex trading it is the best technical indicator particularly when using higher timeframe where there is less noise with a naked chart at the close of each candlestick it always give a clue for the next line of Price Action, it's either price continuation or reversal with the help of RSI indicator for indentifing overbought and oversold, I also uses trend lines for breakouts after the candlestick had indicate a likely price continuation or reversal, I don't rely on lagging indicators for trading because of their false and inaccurate signals in most cases.
Not only on forex but also in other markets as well which candlestick patterns is really that relevant and the main thing you would able to deal when you do step your foot whatever market you would really be into.
Since technical indicators are your first tools on making use since not all would really be that anytime we do have some news which we would really be able to deal with.
Patterns arent that overrated but rather its mainly needed because you have to deal with technical analysis most of the time which means it would really be that relevant that
you should know on how to read up these candle patterns so that you do have the idea at least when you do make out decisions on your investment.
1792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: chance to win, so you keep holding on? on: September 07, 2022, 08:59:36 PM
Playing gambling doesnt really fully rely on whats the market trend or condition whether bullish or bearish yet casinos online do still get significant numbers of players  who do hang on the site
which does simply imply that there's still demand despite of market condition which causes for their coins to deplete when it comes to its value but since you would be still basically able to earn
on the same number or amount of coins basing on the current value of the coins you've been using thats why it wont really be that much of an issue for those who do gamble
actively whether they do earn less or more on coin value or count.
1793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Netflix bans ads Bitcoin or Crypto, Human Rights Foundation Donates. on: September 07, 2022, 06:41:55 PM
What I thought is that the thread is really all about Netflix banning bitcoin specific ads but I've come to realize that whenever I watch a series or a movie through Netflix, there's really no ad at all.  Grin

But if they're going to make that model with their new feature then, it's totally fine.

And for Indonesia, AFAIK, they're also too sensitive with digital things. They have banned Steam and other gaming platforms on their country.

Is Netflix a supporter of bitcoin? I don't think so, so them banning? not a big deal.
I think no one knows but they've got some documentaries that has the topic about bitcoin/crypto.
After all the months i've been watching netflix then i dont see any ads and whenever they do talk about banning bitcoin ads? Well so be it.We arent seeing it on the first place.
Cant be sure if this one would really affect overall recognition but just let them be.They can ban all they want yet adoption would really be something that cant be stopped.
Each country does have its set of rules and laws whether it would be ending up going into the positive side or going into negative. We cant really just stop them on doing
on what things that they do have into their minds.
1794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play online/offline without your wife or family knowing it? on: September 06, 2022, 11:59:21 PM

This OP speaking. I have to indicate because it seem only the first post is being read.

Majority seem to advice not to keep secrets to their wife. Its nice that you guys share same view of relationship to your wives. I'm not however that very open to her about my activities whenever its about my sports betting.

I give everything to my wife and kid thats for sure. My salary but I also take whats mine to maintain equality. When you are married and have already passed the phase where you have quarelled already whos the boss in the family, you might really set aside something for yourself. My advice is to take a wife for 10 years, you might understand why some dont want everything shared to the wife.

My solution might just be to buy a separate laptop for myself and not share anymore with her and maintain privacy between us.

If you have that point of view there's nothing to argue about that, it's also your decision to make if ever you pick and choose not to tell your gambling activities with your wife, I agree on your point about having a wife for that long time I just smile when you mentioned your example about who's the boss as for sure many will relate to that.

About buying a new laptop and have privacy, that's a call that will depend on how civil you and your wife are in taking that kind of action,

maybe we do have differences in terms of experienced and how we treated the situation, but if there's no obligation that being taken for granted and all your responsibilities are completely covered, the chance that your wife will respect that decision of yours is considerable.
If you're wife do sees that you had just fulfill your obligations well and been responsible into your family then for sure you wife would really be approving or wouldnt mind on what are the things you've been dealing

as long it wouldnt really be attached on 3rd party relationship or speaking on other girls then it should be fine.Actually this is really that subjective because not all wives are the same which even some do say
that it might really be just be fine in this case but there are women who cant really just able to avoid on not to mind bad things or impressions about gambling.
Yes, i cant blame other people no matter what the gender because we do always  hear up negative things when it touches about gambling.
There are some wives which are selfish and doesnt mind about the happiness of their husbands specially on other activities and its true that not all would really be that opposing on what you would gonna do as long
you had fulfilled your duty and responsibility as a husband and a father but just like on what most people been saying on here that you should not hide something on your wife so that you would not end up on hiding
and stressing yourself and keep on hiding on the activity you've been doing but also you should be mindful on not to exert too much risk or putting huge money on gambling because sooner or later
it would be resulting into something negative which might you unexpectedly for it happen.
1795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The right time to invest on: September 06, 2022, 09:59:13 PM
As a newbie one finds it difficult to know the right time to invest. I really want to know if I can actually invest into Bitcoin at this moment.
Almost any time is a good time to invest, but it is best to invest in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency during a bear market, which occurs when the prices of the coins fall due to market conditions. There are many good projects in cryptocurrency that are now suitable for investment due to the low price; take advantage of this opportunity to get a very large investment for your bright future.
When you do hold for long term = Anytime
When you do make out some short trades = Then it would vary on technical analysis knowledge and experience you do have.

Right time to invest does really vary on someone because we do have different considerations or factors that we've been eyeing on before we do make out
some decisions. Each person does have their own perceptions on particular conditions on market condition thats why right time
cant really be determined but its common sense that if market is on bear then this is also a sweet spot.

1797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good bounty on: September 06, 2022, 07:15:25 PM
why failed to pay each bounty participant and who did not pay the bounty participant?. of course they are not paid by the prize manager!
Well, in my opinion, to know a good bounty is because it is managed by a team that has a good reputation and has a clear road map with its usefulness in the future
How to know their reputation?
How to know that they would be following that good roadmap?

This is the toughest challenge on where you do ensure yourself that you've been dealing with the right team but we know that its not really that assurance
that you are really that joining or supporting or advertising a legit team until in the end of the bounty. This is the risk of bounty hunting on where
you cant be sure that you would really be getting paid in the end of the line.
1798  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: September 05, 2022, 11:52:05 PM
But most casinos always offer bonuses for first-time users and that is not a new thing we all know why they do that it is because they want to attract new players. But most time players also go for unique games so they always look out for platform that gives such an experience.

We do have some gamblers at the loom of bonuses either for registration or referrals while some don't even mind because their main aim is to have a satisfactory experience of the casino and not to make bonus, this set of gamblers have thier money already and are not minding to making profits from their gambling wins but rather to derive a satisfaction in playing games, if you're on a look for bonuses, then remember that some are not redeemable not until you pass through KYC.
Bonuses are just another way to keep our enthusiasm in gambling but mostly, gamblers mainly gamble for experience satisfaction as they find gambling a means to entertain them and make them relieved temporarily from personal problems. This is true to some rich gamblers while others still go for gambling for mainly profiting.
Whether on both things which aims for the money or aims for the entertainment or aims for both things which it would really be just depending on a particular person. We do play whether for
stress relieving or really just aim for the money. We do have different types of casino games and some do even engage on sports betting or on strategic ones.We do really love to see
some other games which havent been offered or seen on the market.Interest will really vary into each person because we do have different liking on what games
we do want to play.
1799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some say Bitcoin is dead but Bitcoin is not dead on: September 05, 2022, 10:59:33 PM
All the news about bitcoin dying has been happening time and time again in my opinion maybe just to get a lower price and to be able to adopt at the lowest possible cost, or maybe they really went bankrupt because of their own stupidity.
and even when bitcoin “died”, crypto believers tried to buy more and slowly but surely bitcoin became a way to store value, not just a speculative asset. Regardless of the price, it's here to stay.
so those who say bitcoin is dead will not be able to affect those who have been in this industry for a long time and also those who study and understand bitcoin well, it's better to just ignore it because eventually bitcoin will rise again and one of the signs is that it is declared dead, as previously.
Perhaps, it never has changed as we keep hearing these things once the market is in decline. Well, I'm not sure how it gives an impact on our mindset but I see that people already know that after this drop and market corrections prices will tend to rise and going to bullish once again. So, instead of listening to these negative news and market attacks, we'd better ignore this as this was not the case to happen. And we have to understand the volatile nature of the market and therefore expect changes in its trend from time to time.
Get already used to it or somewhat being bored whenever we do reach up this bearish condition of the market on where there are people who do really keep on saying things that
Bitcoin is dead blah blah blah or something in correlated which they would eventually shut up their mouths once the market do make out some significant recovery or change of trend.
If you are just new into this market then you would eventually having those kind of impressions that this might be the over of this market but eventually it is really just too early or
cant really be that possible as long we do see huge support from the community and institution's or overall then it is really far from over.
1800  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: September 05, 2022, 10:45:41 PM
I dont think Roobet will ask for another level verification (and that is submitting documents for level 2) aside from the mandatory level 1 kyc. Unless if your account is suspicious or you exceeds the limit that need an additional identity verification. But if we're just an average gamblers, I dont think they will ask us for further verification. But as you have said gamblers who are not comfortable in kyc thing can always switch to other casino that dont require kyc. We have an option.
You can't guarantee that for the future. I mean they may or may not ask that, we didn't know they would ask the current one neither, and even though the kyc level 1 is not asking for many things, they are still asking for some stuff and you have to be legit about it. On the other hand, we are talking about a situation where we need to realize that it hurts roobet, so why would they ask it right?

Well, it would not be a smart decision by roobet to make mandatory kyc where you show your ID and face and everything else. Hence I think it will "probably" not happen but just like I said first, we really do not know what is going to be happening and what is going to surprise us.
Level 2 means providing other documents like Valid ID right? I think many will start to panic again once they asked for this KYC though of course this can still happen since Roobet requirement is quiet unpredictable and they made no announcements before making any changes. If that will be required, I also doubt that I can provide such documents, this can be a big problem to some gamblers too.
Even loyal or long time players too will surely be having doubts on complying those verification specially on level 2..Level 1 might really be that considerable and still not enough for people not to stay away
but if they would really be turning out to be that strict when it comes to compliance then pretty much sure it would heavily affect the numbers that would be playing on their site.
We cant tell though or make out some conclusions yet but its true  that they do make out sudden decisions without making any announcement which they should at least do know the community
on whats up their plans whether they would be integrating these things or not.
