Thats why we have taxes. A little money from a lot of people is a lot of money.

But a lot of people like me really don't trust you to handle our money.

I do, though, trust you to handle yours. I believe that even if all you could give them was a $10 bill, they would really be impressed.
2502  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Trump Impeachment Poll: Who's Fault Is It? on: October 15, 2019, 11:06:54 PM
I voted for nutildah, based on my scientific analysis of blame disbursement in this thread.

Could also be that Nixon guy who is also mentioned a lot but isn't an option in the poll unfortunately.

Those are both strong options. Even though Nixon's brain is being kept alive inside a jar in a secret military base in Antarctica, I didn't think to include him as an option seeing as how he was also a Republican. But you could very well be right, who knows. I get all my news through 2 sources: a week-old copy of USA Today that I have delivered to my palm frond hut in the Philippines, and Infowars stories that I hear second hand from my outlaw miner friend, Leroy F.

Haven't they been trying to impeach the president since before he started his first day?  Grin lol

Indeed. But now the shitstraws have just piled too high on the camel's back. It couldn't carry any more shit, and its back broke. Too many shitstraws.
These days, we have trucks.

Big trucks.

Camels just don't cut it, no air conditioning.

Big trucks can carry a whole lot of shit.
2503  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the things you hate about Islam! on: October 15, 2019, 10:55:11 PM
I don't hate Muslims at all but I find some of their beliefs so weird. What I can't believe is that they're not allowed to eat pork or any food with pork's blood. I heard that their reason why they are not allowed to eat such kind of food because their Quran says that pigs are filthy animals. Am I right with that?

Another belief they believe in which I can't perceive is that they are ready to die for their Allah. They are so brave for doing it in all fairness but I still think it was idiocy, no offense but it makes no sense to commit suicide just for their god.
Scientifically it has also been proven that pork meat is the filthiest  diet to consume, because they have different harmful agents like parasites, bacteria, toxins,  we all know that pig meat is high in fat and cholesterol which cause heart diseases.  The Quran proves it,  scientifically it has also been proven too why will a good Muslim wanna eat it

As for the case of those who do commit suicide,  and covering their fake believe that Allah sent them,  it's a big lie,  it's in the Quran that anyone who committed suicide will be severely punish on the day of judgement with whatever he or she used in committing suicide. Islam is against committing suicide

When they fight the enemies of Allah and die, they go straight to heaven according to Allah, you ignoramus.

How can you be so ignorant of what Islam teaches, and what Jihadists actually stand for?  They want non-Muslims out of Muslim controlled lands.  That is what Muhammad wanted, and he would be proud of the terrorists flying into buildings in non-Muslim lands.  In their eyes, and the eyes of people like Muhammad, they are defending Islam.

You suffer from cognitive dissonance.

As for pork, it was first mentioned in the Jewish Bible, Leviticus 11:7-8, millennia before 'Allah' copied it into the Quran. LOL.

There is nothing wrong with eating any meat, including pork.  The ideas in the Bible and subsequently in the Quran were brought up by people (Allah, Yehowah etc) who knew nothing about toxicology.  And you are repeating this nonsense.

https://www.mcgill.ca/oss/article/health/sweating-pig

Next he'll be telling us about those magic toothpicks made from roots that beat modern dentistry.

I think you are being a bit unfair to "traditional lore" relating to something like the hazards of eating improperly cooked pork. Sure it's ridiculous in the modern world, but it had it's time and function. For some to hold such ignorant superstitions today does seem strange.

2504  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Collecting Bitcoin Donations with a recognizable address on: October 15, 2019, 03:32:14 PM
I had an earlier post about Chinese collecting bitcoin as payment and another post about Hong Kong free press collecting donations. One of the things was that they had to use the same darn address for collecting BTC. Now if the addresses for donations were more recognizable I think things would be a lot easier for them.
About two days ago I found this site that gives you a common name like BOB or BitcoinBull or CryptoBull for a bitcoin address. So, I am thinking that things would be easier for large organizations to collect money if they had recognizable names instead of a long string of numbers and letters. What do you think, would it make it easier, in terms of adoption?

I'm calling scam on this and the link it posts to, and the many newly created sock puppets that support the assertions made.
2505  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Collecting Bitcoin Donations with a recognizable address on: October 15, 2019, 03:24:56 AM

Having QR codes is the best approach for such case.

I don't prefer QR code if through qr will be by transfer since they can change it anytime who ever will forward it. Im a QR user of mobile banks and crypto wallets and Im only using it in paying in a store with QR you personally see to scan it, in a person you're with scanning thru their phones to our phone or if the sender of QR is a verified user. But, it is a good solution if the organization will provide a good website that is fully verified by them.

It's not clear what you are saying, but I think you mean that fraud is possible with QR.

This is true, but it should be possible to design a solution around this problem.

But that does not exist in the current method of use of QR.
2506  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 4/20 reform on: October 15, 2019, 03:15:16 AM
I've been inspired by Andrew Yang's proposal to release all non-violent drug offenders on 4/20/2021 but I think it needs to go further. ...I'd love to give each of these people set free but also guaranteed $31,000 worth of cash payments and social counseling over their first year ....

I have an even better idea. Why don't you pick a nearby prison, and stand outside and give each prisoner exiting part of your money?

Maybe it wouldn't go that far, but you might actually impress a percentage of them.

Honestly don't know why she even entertains this sort of stuff. She could come across as a better person by saying that after 3 years the GOP and Trump still continue to talk about me but no she goes into some weird fantasy world where she thinks she beat Trump.

She took a clear opportunity to win -- and pointed back to a time where she lost. What a wacko.

What was lost was not the POTUS, but the entire Democratic power structure that had been carefully built through the Obama years. Which had at the center, the Clintons and their Foundation. That is the reason why the Demos are in such disarray today. They do not know who they are.

They do not know who they are because nobody has told them who they should be.

As someone who has never really liked how weed made me feel, I still don’t think it should be illegal.  It has proven medically beneficial for many people and does little harm.  It should be treated the same as alcohol, don’t use it then drive but make an adult decision if you wish to use it.

And yes.  For Christ sake, take people out of jail for weed related crimes.

As has been mentioned, marihuana law is state law.

Each state that has legalized marihuana has IIRC followed with a release of prisoners for associated crimes.

Right now there are likely to be some interesting statistics develop.

Although I really doubt there is much difference in weed use between states where legal and states where not legal.

That's nice. Some people just try to spread hate and more ignorance and they are not able to see themselves as extremists. I'm not sure if there is something worse than a christian extremist in this world... these people are at a similar level of those guys from Islamic State. The difference is that they were raised in a better environment, they had every chance to improve themselves, but are rotten inside.

Similar level as Islamic State?

Really?

It is true that using names that you have mentioned like BOB, BitcoinBull, CryptoBull as a bitcoin address is much easier to remember than using long and complicated wallet address that has combinations of numbers and letters because it can cause you from making mistakes in entering your wallet address, that is why using this kind of technology would be more convenient for us to enter our wallet address and to avoid mistakes.

Because simple names would require some sort of central registry to translate them into crypto addresses, and that is exactly the sort of thing that can and would be hacked.
2511  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Journey to the Mars,Elon Musk vision! on: October 13, 2019, 11:40:00 PM
How would humans develop and adapt to the lower gravity for long periods? Also living indoors, possibly underground years and decades, rarely ever going out in full space like suits? And what kind of people would want to live there and even pay for the ticket themselves? How would they earn their living there?
in fact, your question is only a technical matter,
and surely ELON had thought about it long before he planned a colony on Mars.

Remember, Elon's intention is only to provide the transport service, he expects the people that goes there to solve the rest. He is thinking the Railroad conquest of the west era, he wants to build the railroad and operate the trains and stations, nothing more. He doesn't even want to go there himself.
no, ELON has already tweeted that he really wants to detonate Nuclear Bombs on Mars (the NUKE MARS project)
so, that Mars can become a place to live, you can see it on google about what he plans to make a colony on MARS,
and not just as a human transport service to MARS.

The nukes to provoke a nuclear winter and then a greenhouse effect is a very old theory that seems to be dismissed by the current scientific community (as terraforming method). Besides, no one is going to give him the nukes.

The railroad thing was mentioned by himself in one of his conferences, i don't think he wants to get involved in the actual building of colonies or terraforming Mars, beyond "giving ideas" for others to try, just like Hyperloop.

IIRC you are correct, "nuclear winter" was created by some, including Sagan, as a scare tactic. Would it work on Mars?

No, because there is no magnetic field around Mars, as there is on Earth. And without that, the incoming solar will knock out your attempt at a new atmosphere, as soon as you can build it. But few people know these details.

As PT Barnum is supposed to have said, "There's a new sucker born every minute."

I’m by no means a trump fan, but I agree with you.  I don’t know what happened before the last election but both parties shifted and almost became fringe parties.   It became more clear than ever that the 2 party system is ultimately broken.  I didn’t know who to vote for because all viable candidates were way too far left or right for me to even bother voting.

I don’t want open borders, and I don’t want higher taxes.  But I also think women should have a say in what they do with their uterus and think war should be avoided at all costs.   What do I do now?

Go for Trump. That's easy to see. Doesn't at all mean you are a "trump fan."

I don't know, maybe he's acquired some fans by now. If so they are deserved. For me I guess I saw his approach to be interesting conceptually, and to have merit in many situations.

Do they annoy you because you think they're racist?

Or because they call other people racist?

They annoy me because they are pushing their own images and attempting social recognition without believing in the principles.
Stopping the reference to "black" people just slows the acceptance that it doesn't matter. what colour their skin may be. I'd far rather that they placed emphasis on their behaviour and contribution to society. Of course it is all carefully orchestrated by the anglophone empire builders, who need social unrest and discontent to push their ambitions.

I haven't heard suggest we stop calling black people 'black people'.

You know the term 'people of color' does not refer specifically to black people right?  It just means 'people that are not white'.

I've heard both asserted as improper. People that want to control you, want to control your language. It doesn't matter what it was, control means to tell you to change it.

At the 46th second, The president of the United States of America admits (twice), PKK which is a terrorist organisation, worked with the US.

Here is which countries and organisations list PKK as a terrorist organisation:

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by several states and organizations, including the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan,[33] and the European Union. However, the United Nations and countries such as Switzerland, China, India, Russia and Egypt, have not designated the PKK as a terrorist organization.

And I thought the United States never negotiate with the Terrorists. Haha. They weren't negotiating at all bruh, they were in the same bed already! (maybe somebody will try to twist this as a good thing)

The same USA also sells weapons to Turkey.

I bet you'll want proof for that assertion too. I'll make your job easy for this time only, Turkey is a NATO member.
I'm good with your response. Thanks.

FYI I'm no advocate for the actions of Turkey, really was just noting the state of the argument.

2520  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Monthly minimum wage: ~$82 is that too much to ask? on: October 09, 2019, 07:16:02 PM
The Nigeria Labour Congress are requesting for an increase in the minimum wage of her workers from N18,000 dollar equivalent = ~$49 to N30,000 =~$82. There's a law that states that every 5years a new minimum wage should be implemented but for the past (almost) decade no new minimum wage have been set.
Why am I writing this?,  Today there's said to be a planned  mass protest and if their agreement isn't met, the NLC will embark on a nationwide strike and this will lead to the  shut down of the economy of the nation not forgetting that we have our election coming up February.

Nigeria was one (don't know if we still are) of Africans richest nation with a GDP of over $376.4 billion +/- but can't pay her workers a minimum wage of $82 monthly. An average American if he/she works 3hour daily in one month considering he/she works 25days earns a minimum of $525 i.e $7 per hour, An average South African earns minimum of $277 monthly can someone tell me where we got it all wrong? Why is our governments finding it difficult to pay her workers a minimum wage of ~$82 monthly when the average governors earns a minimum of $50,000 not including his monthly allowances.

What is the output of the country's production? That must be higher, several times higher than whatever you think minimum wage should be.
