100 Bitcoin Users Perform What Might Be Largest ‘CoinJoin’ Transaction Ever

Quote
The community behind the privacy-centric bitcoin app Wasabi Wallet recently brought together 100 people to collectively execute a “CoinJoin” transaction on bitcoin in what might be the biggest event of its kind.

Some context: bitcoin itself is far from private, as users can, via the blockchain, see where coins are being transferred to and from. One effort to afford greater privacy to transactions is CoinJoin, a long-standing technology first proposed in 2013 by long-time bitcoin idea man and cryptographer Greg Maxwell. The idea is that transactions can be made more private by jumbling a number of different transactions together and then redistributing them.

Why Lobbying Growth Is a Sign That Crypto Is Maturing

Quote
Crypto is on the march, and not just in terms of market price. Not only does data indicate that the number of ID-verified users of cryptocurrency doubled over 2018, but there are various other metrics that suggest that adoption is gaining traction. As many as 84% of companies worldwide are involved with blockchain-based technologies in some way, while cryptocurrency ownership is twice as high among young Americans than among the general United States population. And at a time when there's plenty of talk about the need for crypto to standardize and regulate itself before adoption can really take off, it would now seem that lobbying on cryptocurrency-related issues is also increasing.

satoshi > New icon/logo / Feb-2010

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=64.msg21766#msg21766

bitboy > More Bitcoin logos, buttons, and also some other graphics / Nov-2010

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1631.0

The raw SOPR is slightly over 1. It seems that current SOPR levels are really decreasing the supply, so prices get a harder time going lower.

Quote
But the really interesting thing this time is the 7d median SOPR. It's closer to 1 now, but still not there. The median SOPR seems to be a better trading indicator, since it removes some of the noise created by random big address moving coins around.

Quote
Another interesting thing is the average output lifespan. It's very low, denoting that mainly short lived outputs are being moved. One more time it implies that long time holders are not moving/selling their coins.

As such, it still remains a key factor for the price and it is not completely priced in.
