30% buy bitcoins, 30% buy mining rigs, 30% properties (apartments)
2542  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will BTC reach $50,000? on: June 09, 2014, 09:57:17 PM
When do you think BTC will reach $50,000?

After two more halfings!

SP30 will be 2400 Watts for 6 TH/s!!!!

That's simply not true.

One month and a half and it will be true!

No it won't.  They advertise 2500w for 6th/s plus or minus 10% (my guess is minus). They are extremely optimistic with their estimations assuming that they will have 0.43w/gh while overclocked. That is more than 40% less than the sp10 underclocked. A die shrink should only expect 30% improvement in efficiency.

What was your guess about AM gen3 chip performance? I am sure it wasn't 1.1W/GH like it came out. You also guessed that you will receive dividends in May and you failed again. Your guesses seems to be a bit off.

This is the worst explanation I've heard. They have more than enough money to buy all the components for all 3 batches if they wanted to.

They chose to go with preorders because they know that they cannot sell their hardware for ~$1/gh in 3 months and by doing so they put tons of unnecessary additional risks on their customers.

Nobody knows their financing books so please don't speak without proof. This is just a reason. I am sure that there are more which favor the customers.

I'd also suggest never believing anyone trying to sell you something as an affiliate.

Why is that? 1% of the total hashrate sold through my affiliate link will go to charities and bitcoin software developers.

And be honest. I am not the only one with an affiliation. You are affiliated with HashRatio too. Not directly, but indirectly by being an AM shareholder. So at least I let OP know that my sig is an affiliate link while you pretend to not have any affiliation whatsoever.

Spondoolies-Tech SP10 Dawson 1.4TH Bitcoin Miner *Backordered till 6/6/14*
$3,099.00 USD

It seems that some people didn't agree with those calculations and they bought all SP10 miners available Smiley Now only the SP30 is available for order (see affiliate sig)
2545  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I just want to mine to support bitcoin on: June 09, 2014, 09:11:07 PM
It seems to me the 51% threat is very real, and there's not much we can do about it.  Greed will trump common sense every time. I want to do what I can to contribute to the other 49%.  I'm fully aware that the mining-for-profit ship has sailed, but I'd like to learn how to mine as well as offset the 51% as much as I could.

Anyone got any advice for a noob with good intentions?

Get an SP30 and have it colocated!
2546  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How to find Mining equipment manufacturers... on: June 09, 2014, 09:09:56 PM

Nothing about Spondoolies Tech on that website. Better check dogie's list!
2547  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Considering to start solo mining, thoughts? on: June 09, 2014, 09:00:38 PM
I'd think that you'd want around 10 Ths (10 000 Ghs) to make it worthwhile. also you'd probably want to add a THs  every month or so.

Posted From bitcointalk.org Android App
I wouldn't even bother solo with this hashrate only 20+ if not more.

What kind of hardware do you suggest?

I suggest you to get lots of SP30 miner. It has the best $/GH and the lowest W/GH. Check my sig (affiliate link + donations if you buy through it).

Why would they not offer in stock sp30s as soon as they get them?

Because having a a couple hundred/thousand units in stock needs a lot of components ordered first and a lot of preparing.
2548  Economy / Speculation / Re: 50% increase and everyone thinks 10k (again) on: June 09, 2014, 08:23:10 PM
Probably not $10k in 2014 but $5k is definitely possible.

What were your predictions for 2013 after the 260$ crash?
2549  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Noise difference in Antminer S2 vs. Spondoolies SP10 on: June 09, 2014, 07:35:19 PM
The SP10 is already out of stock you you are stuck with S2.
2550  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio, Best $/GH/s ratio on: June 08, 2014, 09:07:53 PM

2551  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio - Shipping from stock on: June 07, 2014, 04:07:26 PM
I was going to do that tomorrow when Im up.

I literally watched it go dead right in front of me.

BOTH miners....

URL    User    Status    Pr    GW    Acc    Rej    Disc    Last    Diff1    DAcc    DRej    DLast    Best
   eu-stratum.btcguild.com    XXX_1    Dead    0    1    1    1

Did I put the GHash.IO addy in there right?  It shows down too :S
Its just too odd.

Another option is to put the alternative BTCG server aa your second pool. Since you have the EU BTCG server as your first pool, put the US server as your second.

Ive tried BOTH BTCGuild servers, both say DEAD.  It said alive for 10 seconds, then DEAD.  This is just too weird.
I tried GHash.IO also, nothing.
I cant understand why out of 4 servers, Eilgilus is the only one that will show alive.  Just not normal.

Check with your hosting. Maybe it's a problem from their internet.

BTW, anyone else notice how they put the component that reports the chip temperature at the very *edge* of the board

Derogatory comment with no supporting evidence !
Look at the photographic evidence KNC provided, which shows the LM75 positioning. On the very *edge* of the board.

Are you disputing those components I circled are for to measure temperature?

Go learn a little about electronics before you start making silly, trolling comments.

^
My last post to you. No further troll feeding.

Where did you get *your* masters degree in EE Avenger ? The Maxim M75 http://datasheets.maximintegrated.com/en/ds/LM75.pdf is used for ambient temperature sensing, not for core temperature sensing. Core temperature sensing is performed by circuits on the die.
Your contrived accusations are intended to be harmful to KNC's reputation

Jupiters never had any core temperature sensing. Only ambient temperature. So why wouldn't that be the same for the Neptune?

I am sending one sp10 to Iceland, to test everything out.
Will report back at the middle of next week, as everything should be set up by then.

I will have direct access to the miner via webinterface, and i will post some screenshots.

Bitcoin Payment soon! I have suggested them to setup bitcoin payment and they told me that they will put pressure on the CFO to do that. Hooray!

This is the most important thing. Sending 1000's of euros to Iceland once a month is not easy for everyone. Everyone except Bitpay offices in Amsterdam, that is. Anyone from Advania or Hydro66 to comment there?

aegirrafn from Advania is here so maybe he will reply to you.
2554  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 07, 2014, 12:14:50 PM

The way I interpret this statement is that FC is working on getting cheaper electricity/space and then AM will go HAM on the self mining.

I thought that he already had plenty of time to search for cheaper electricity/space. Doing it now seems a bit late.
2555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 07, 2014, 11:18:45 AM
Dear bitcoin community,

Please boycot KNC!
Do not give those retarded people from KNC any money.
They are fucking up the community (sry for my language)

Cheers

Well I think that EVERYONE that is lurking this thread has already refunded their Neptun order, except shill s1gs3gv who just like to kiss their ass and who I think that he doesn't even have a Neptune pre-ordered, but he likes the ass-licking very much.

3 yrs ago, you were trolling Bitcoin hard, just like you do now. Wink

I see no trolling in OP post, but some folks haven't forgot that you were shilling for HashFail too which is now bankrupt. So I think that you are worse than OP.

Are either of those options going to keep decibel levels below 70db?
And as a few side questions, will you still be offering any tech support for SP-10's once you stop manufacturing them?
Would Spondoolies ever consider getting into manufacturing Scrypt ASIC's or are they primarily dug in with SHA-256?

Yes, yes and yes
Can you clarify on the last question? Smiley Scrypt - Yes or no?

It's an yes.
