Rev2 has been released. atcsecure has released a functioning rev2 on mainnet and is working on further updates to bring the trustless mixer into the UI. Everything has been delivered as promised. It's not fully finished I don't believe we were told it was going to be 'fully finished.' This is beta software. Why are you expecting fully finished beta software? We were delivered what we were told was going to be delivered (full anonymity with trustless mixing is what was promised on the roadmap and that's what we got.) I haven't seen an announcement from Dan saying here is REV2 complete. There is no anon UI. |

I unlocked my wallet with "for staking only" checked. Yet, it still allowed me to send 1 XC?
I'm using the most recent wallet on windows, XC-v0.9.2.3.
You mean withouth Password? Yes that happens to me as well.. Anyone knows why? to me in VER 1.5. Yes. It would be nice to be able to unlock the wallet for staking only, with the "send coins" feature still requiring password. It would make the wallet a lot more secure, as it stands if someone has access to your PC and the wallet is staking they can send coins without a password. |

Yeah, having a team to frequent trollboxes (and anywhere else) is an awesome idea. However I'd construe the role of a trollbox team not as controlling information (since we have no monopoly on it), but as fostering community.
Our mode of interaction with others accounts for 95% of communication; the information supplied is 5%. So when we interact, we don't just give out facts, we give out a way of treating others, of being together.
This suggests that communicating and being a person effectively come down to the same thing: how we come across, that is, how we are in relation to others.
It also suggests that to be valuable to the world, XC requires its community, since we're what is presented to the world. Furthermore, the way XC appears to the world depends on the way we are to other people.
Therefore, be gracious to people (especially "enemies"). Be generous in your interpretation of their statements, especially when they're not generous to you. If we don't do this, then we just take on their mode of interacting instead of imparting our mode of interacting.
Be aware of the difference between what you perceive and what you infer from your perceptions (e.g. statements vs. the intentions suggested by statements). Be aware of the value of community and the value of how you come across, rather than defending the value of XC's tech without considering how you might devalue yourself by being aggressive/insulting/etc. Foster community. Remind people of the value of their role. Be to others what you'd have the XC community be to itself.
Basically what I'm getting to is that good tech without good ethics lacks value. If the XC team and community were a bunch of arseholes, XC would lack sufficient reason to exist.

ATCSecure (Dan) how is your progress with Rev 2/mainnet and EM, are we expecting another release this evening or tomorrow as planned?
Progress is pretty good. You can expect to hear from Dan with a Rev 2 update before long. EM is already finished for initial test, so we just have to release it around the end of the week. That's all sorted already. Much appreciated for the update. By end of week do you mean by end of day tomorrow we should be able to test EM? That would be awesome. We've been intentionally flexible about the date since we don't want to impact Rev 2's coming out. But you can count on it coming out around the end of the week. Not really what I asked but hey I'll take it and understand where you're coming from. Look forward to it dude! I think the team has already mentioned that "end of week" doesn't mean Friday. It's more like by "end of week" which includes the weekend. Let's not "hype" it so we have a new round of FUD again.  I'd be happy if it came out by Sunday, I hope it's not much later than that otherwise people will start dumping. |
