So there aren't any more profitable coins to mine with your stolen* hash rate?

Nope, not with CPU power alone..

So you're stealing it?

You are an idiot.

I'm not the one posting that he steals hash rate from his company on a public forum. Especially when he posted a picture months age of "his" high rise office.

And mine them like Primer, because that's a profit getter. Roll Eyes

It's like doubling down on stupid. First, let me mine a coin that's unprofitable to mine, and then, let's pronounce its end in an attempt to drive the price down further  Huh

My guess is TrueCryptonaire Primer is trying to buy back what he sold.  Wink

Ha, I wouldn't spend a single Finney on a shitcoin like XMR... oh and company resources I use for mining are absolutely free. Sugon cluster 250KH/s - 300KH/s depending on the que..

So there aren't any more profitable coins to mine with your stolen* hash rate?

*I say stolen because if you own the company, then you are paying for it, and if you don't own the company you are stealing it. Even in the unlikely scenario that a government subsidy was paying for your electricity costs, you'd still be stealing from tax payers who must foot the bill.

I told you all to dump XMR and buy ETH couple of weeks back.. ETH can and will replace everything XMR does in a couple of lines of code! (btw. my ETH stash is worth a real fortune now, thanks monero!!).
I'm now cost-averaging, every XMR I mine  I dump for ETH, whatever the price. Do the same, thank me later.

I call BS. If you want to sell XMR for the highest value and gain ETH at the lowest value, you would be saying the complete opposite--you are either stupid or a liar. I'm guessing a little of both.

XMR is dead, take profit while you still can, it will drop below 120k soon ..

There aren't many that can take profit at these prices.

Guess it becomes take your losses while you still can then :-P

With the current security force of Essu (10.6m yearly), it would be impossible to continue a profitable business if 75% of projected sales were to go to HM. If the 75% is  to the lease holder, then by all means I will continue on as lord of Essu--otherwise I will have to liquidate my security forces to continue on as lord.

Quick Overview:

If prices reach the intended 1000m VEG and 5000m for MEAT, then we can assume a yearly income of 18-19M in VEG and 15M in MEAT based on current output, which gives a lease of ~8.5M (25%) or ~25.5M (75%) to HM--the 75% number subtracted from a ~34M total allows for a security force in the 4-5M range (max) if units are to be replaced and famines accounted for (though how does one accurately account for a famine?).

1. Yes 75% would go to King, according to the calculation with nominal values.

2. The intention is to use 1,000 for VEG and 5,000 for MEAT in the calculation only. You know that these are far from the actual values - the midprice of VEG has surely been in the 1,500 range instead and MEAT correspondingly. Future prices we cannot know and King has no lever to them (except "extra winter meat" which is scripted to come to market only if the ask > 6,000 (to Farmers). The VEG cannot be transported in the winter because it is freezing, and in the spring the VEG is already about to spoil.

3. The "superveg" is also a bonus to the leaseholder.

4. Famine years are a jackpot to the producers. Even a 25% reduction in production of VEG will certainly mean at least double price, so...

5. I am ok if someone does not want to continue; the greatest benefit of manors now is to gain a foothold for permanent contract, even ownership. At 3% IRR (what buildings usually give), Essu Manor's discounted future production is worth more than 1 billion. But players have different playstyle and each has their own priorities. I saw Roopatra yesterday, and it was funny to realize that we both had been sure that Erin is played by the other one (which was not the case and the real controller is not known). Not only that, there are rumors that me and Roopatra are the same person (that would be quite a double life though..), and probably some still believe that Soul, Heimo, SS and HS-S are fictitious. Well they are real guys, HS-S is already in the 3rd incarnation due to probably challenges with health, need to ask Smiley Soul I meet weekly and he knows Roopatra and HS-S. I have met Syksy IRL as well, he is also not me.

What is the requirement for security? That's the variable that determines if this is healthy or not  Wink
2567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Kingdom - 1991 Retro Virtual World(City) on: February 06, 2016, 08:15:11 AM
He explained the terms to be 75% of the value of the produce, and a garrison (no mobile force) needed for local protection. Five year contract. Half of the fee must be paid by the end of year 1625, the other half in the end of term. All current holders were qualified to continue, and if they take the contract, Cooper and Erin (L4) - who were present in the Throne Room party - would be promoted Baron(esse)s, being the youngest characters in that level ever.

I'm interested in continuing with the Pada manor - assuming I can afford the fee.

It's not clear whether the 75% go to the King, or to the holder. I have my own guess though Wink

Assuming 75% to the King, if we go by the King's own estimate of 25mil yearly profit, 75% of this for five years goes to 94mil, so I'd need to pay 47mil upfront, which I may be able to do, if all remaining produce sells at high price, and shedding as much of the guards I acquired over the last two weeks as possible. If this doesn't happen, I'm unfortunately unable to continue. I will not know until year end, though.

It's also not clear either whether the 75% include the costs already said to be paid upfront in the original post. There was no indication of amounts there, just that it was "already paid in kind".

everything has been bubbling but XMR.... why is XMR such an ugly duckling....?

Shouldn't XMR be beating Dash... but Dash volume is respectable, XMR volume is heading into Megacoin, Quark territory, shameful.

Explain

I pretty much have the same question. Although I do hold a bit of hope for Monero. It has just always been in the back of my mind, just a feeling.

Meanwhile dashguy's wondering why Bitcoin Devs slam Evan's (genius?) tech, why they don't have a video game, and why their marketcap has stagnated....

The whole "masternode" voting system is a farce. Everyone knows who owns enough masternodes to control the result of every vote. HINT look at who submitted budget proposals and compare that to the proposals that pass or fail.

https://www.dashwhale.org/p/soda-reimbursement
https://www.dashwhale.org/p/transform-pr

It is more centralized than the US banking system.

It's funny that when you actually use the dash "innovations," you see the flaws everyone said were inherent in real time: twenty hour mixing with darksend and people seeing first hand that was purported  to be decentralized is nothing more than a way for Evan and his cronies to ram through their agendas unimpeded by those who are masternode poor.

Two-year report for Essu Manor

Year one: Produced 17.5K in VEG and 2.4K in MEAT for ~35M gross

Year two: Produced 17.4K in VEG and 3K in MEAT for ~44M gross

Security: CAPT 1, LT 1, MSG 1, SGT 1, PTE 5 for ~12M annual cost

In search of Dragons

My men and I have been at it for months in the southern portion of White Cross's fire borough. It seems our area is void of Dragons--though we hear strange murmurings in the night and it always feels like someone (or some thing) is watching us. My one man says the land is cursed, while the other says it is blessed; as yet I am undecided. Unless the Dragon is on the move, it seems our searching is at an end. I decide to break camp and make way for the rendezvous point in the center of White Cross--hopefully the others will have had better luck.
2573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 31, 2016, 01:08:53 PM
No one is using this shitcoin.
I'll keep exchanging xmr for ETH
Are you actually implying people are using ETH to buy stuff? Lol

No, ETH is not a currency its so much more. Anyone actually using XMR to buy stuff ? Blocks are empty so no... Name one merchant that accepts xmr ...
People are holding ETH for two reasons, speculation or development, mostly the former; its the same situation as Monero right now.

Monero and development are two words that don't go together. I've been around since the bytecoin fork (April 2014), very little has been done in TWO YEARS...
I've seen shitcoins with a 3 month lifespan do more development-wise than monero in two fucking years..

So why are you even here and keep mining it if there is better stuff around.

And why would you slam a coin you supposedly hold 40k in and continue to mine? Not exactly smart unless you are lying and really think your investment opinion matters--though I think it is more that primer is lying to himself about the latter. If you believe a coin is going to fail, you pump it and sell into the hype, not vice verse.

Saint Patrick's Day  Huh  Roll Eyes

4-leaf clover or a bowtie.

Smooth you are out of your experience zone.

And you're projecting your shame at the fork, spoon, plate comment onto the current favorite. Do you always sit on your annoyance for a week and repackage the slight as your own? Think of it as negative re-gifting. Hardly original and hardly a real criticism of this design which neither looks like a bow-tie or clover--you're reaching too hard as any group of simple symbols could be made into an object association (I would say pills in this case, maybe), but the problem with yours was that it was complex and looked more like the symbol for the food network than a design for a new age currency.

AEON: Serious About Privacy.

AEON: Strength in numbers.

AEON: Alternative Blockchain Privacy.

AEON: Serious Blockchain Privacy.

AEON: Alternative Economics (relates to æ symbol)

AEON: Advanced Economics (relates to æ symbol)

AEON: Anonymous Economics (relates to æ symbol)

Why not trade Economics for E-cash? I always think of classrooms and theory when I read the word economics.

The next 10 CKers who follow the twitter feed will get a gold coin! Grin

https://twitter.com/Crypto_Kingdom

You can PM here or Crichton on IRC ##crypto-kingdom.

Does it count if I un-follow to re-follow?  Tongue

I was already a follower and re-followed now on @TDLaajala Wink
I think there should be an extra reward for people who were following even before incentives!

If you re-enroll, you will get the gold coin. BUT if you stay with the original sign-up, you will get something better.

So does Syksy have a time machine?

I would argue that since I only did a double-click on the unfollow/follow button which happens within an epsilon time window (epsilon being an arbitrarily small number, as I am known for quick clicking), this would count as both being follower all along and/or being a new follower, depending on the precision of time we use here. We're dealing with Schrödinger's Twitter here - Syksy both being a new follower as well as an established long-time follower simultaneously! I'm also the only person who has posted on CK reddit in addition to Crich, so I plead mercy of the interpretation on my case ;(

My intention is to get new players involved and help out CK as a whole, which in turn helps everyone out. So no leniency will be given. Don't fret--the original bonus will not be that extravagant, especially since this is coming out of my own pocket.

What he's missing is that Zerocash is essentially vaporware. It is too inefficient and too immature to be considered a viable approach today. No one argues that a zero knowledge blockchain is superior in terms of privacy, the crux of the argument is how to balance that with everything else about it.

But then "certain people" have a certain affinity for The Ultimate Vaporware. Others make good engineering tradeoffs to build and deliver real usable systems.

I think also missing applies as he mentioned that people would just use solutions built on top of Bitcoin. Another point to be made about zerocash is would anyone with millions of dollars (or more) in transactions trust unproven cryptography to use in their day to day business? I doubt anyone with the assets (or need) to meet this qualification would be so stupid.
2579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: January 29, 2016, 08:48:47 AM
Great work putting together a 'branding pack'.

I nominate two unofficial slogans based on approval in this topic:

"The Perfect Blockchain". (Go ahead and prove us wrong, Streisand effect).

and

"Tomorrow's money, today." (Actually quite accurate given as how Cryotonote remains the most advanced money tech on the planet, and Aeon is a more experiemntal Monero at this point.  It would be more accurate to say, 'the day after next Tuesday's money, today.")

I'll put together a slogan pack later including text files containing both of these slogans, and upload them to Dropbox.

You just willy-nilly decide that this is the best?

You did the same thing with the logo which turned out to not be the final version.

To me both sound corny and similar to what you said about TPTB's logo drafts.

Which proves we should take our ideas with a grain of salt; we all have them and luck as much as anything else, determines which blossoms (with the right care) into a good one. IE. can't we all just get along?

We can decide on this or revamp it later. The technology and marketing contacts will determine the near term success of this coin more than any logo or catchphrase (though I love the logo cryptodromeda designed), so any word on those?

People who have nosy wives will figure out anonymity.  Tongue

They already have. That is why they don't tell their wives their secret BTC address(es). It logically follows that the entities that have a sufficient economic incentive for block chain mixing will also inspect the technology with a fine tooth comb. Again I don't care, because I only care what speculators will throw their lunch money at.

And as soon as divorce attorneys realize that they can inspect the Bitcoin blockchain with technologies already at hand and make correlations to mistresses, prostitutes and camgirls, that dog and pony show of anonymity will be at an end. We both placed a bet on which way this will turn, so either we are both proved correct, wrong or one of us is on the wrong side of it. It's not a big deal--though given your stance, I wonder why you even follow this debate?

That is when they try using Cryptonote and it fails (even once per 1000 spends) due to their fumbling of meta data, so these mere mortals give up and pay in gold, gifts such as jewelry, or cash (if it is still available). Business can spawn which pretend to sell computer software but really ship jewelry. "Oh honey, that was some software for my business". Humans are very ingenuous and prefer to use methods they understand because they can't trust what they don't understand.

Or they learn how to handle their meta data and using decentralized exchanges to launder money in which case they do not need Cryptonote.

Or something more robust to meta data arrives.

And yeah I don't care in terms of my speculative investing here. I care if I am considering a long-term investment, and so far nothing qualifies per my analysis but to each his own.

You're missing that Monero is building not just a currency, but a one stop shop of privacy solutions. The tokenization of assets is just what forms the network, and the more private this is, the better. Layering Bitcoin with ad hoc solutions is inefficient and will offer subpar performance in both network and privacy. IE. Icing won't hide that the cake is dry and moldy.
