- I am interested to convene with HM concerning the peer promotions. As ruled in Rules, King may promote anyone up to Archduke, and GM does not have a veto. However, GM allocated the quota of such promotions available. I am very interested in having at least a Grand Duke in our kingdom by 1650.

Anytime Sat-Mon I should be available.

Senate, Dragon Quest, and Zechariah's Journey:

Senate: There is a motion to move the senate meetings to once a week. The current proposal is to meet Wednesdays at 3pm UTC with moneromooo, luigi and myself in agreement to the time and day. If you would like a different time or day, please lend your voice to the discussion and we'll find a solution that fits everyone's schedule. We are also looking for a speaker(s) who could help move future discussions along and add structure to the chamber.

Dragon Quest: Syksy and moneromooo have agreed to run the encounter and will need ~3 weeks for preparation. In the meantime we would like to add 2 players to the adventure, preferably newer players who have yet to take part in the story aspect of the game. Please inquire here or IRC ##crypto-kingdom if you are interested.

Zechariah's Journey: "Once a King, always a King," is our interpretation of the constitution, and we wish HM luck and success on his journey to far off lands, which are not only entrenched in censorship and hostility towards its own people, but who also fly their misdeeds under the joint flag of hypocrisy and progressiveness. May HM return safely to our lands and be a guiding force for change within our borders and abroad for many centuries to come.

Zechariah, it seems you've added more to your plate just when you've just taken something away Tongue Can you perform the duty of a GM/DM for our Dragon Quest or does someone else have to come forward and take the reigns of those duties--and if so, are there resources available as far as maps, rules, etc.?

Note on Company Creation:

For new public company creation, ask your local ADMIN to create--we are discussing a fee for this, but can't get consensus for a vote in the senate, so it will remain ADMIN negotiating their own fee, if any.

Important information to have available would be the NAME of your company and # of SHARES to be CREATEd. Some of the ADMINs spend extra time to walk players through the process and explain the intricacies of the corporate game--so if you feel that you need this extra attention, please request an ADMIN who specializes in game training--there's no set fee for this, so please negotiate that with ADMIN.

FOC's have been reduced to 10mil--they offer 7 years maintenance. Please contact Zechariah for more details.

Is there a How-to for new players interested in creating their own company?
1606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could Monero replace Bitcoin soon? on: September 23, 2016, 08:51:58 AM

have more trust in cryptography than in accountants, honestly.

Most people trust neither. They trust their own eyes and seeing only one side of the equation when 2 balances are involved I'm afraid doesn't "cut it".

If I mail someone a check, I don't verify that one balance moved in one direction and another balance moved in another direction - that's nonsense. Money is only moving in *one* direction, not two.

This little peice of subjective innocence sounds like a good epitaph for your beloved "privacy coin".  Wink

You've been wrong with your "people need to see cryptography to believe in it" argument from the start--now you're just 10x more wrong about it. When AEON passes your marketcap, please feel free to say hi.

@HMC

I must congratulate Our Wise King on the changes made on his property since my last visit. It is fair chapelry indeed.

PS: I can't update the borough image, maybe an admin could help?

That is really awesome! I'm assuming there are some kind of guidelines as to user art submissions?

AFAIK, there aren't any guidelines, but since it is part of UI, it's likely admins will just remove pics if they become a problem--I'm sure some neighborhoods will be better than others in this regard.

The GM could probably speak more to this as there's a chance that it could be viewed as Senate issue and require the writing of Laws. Counties may have differing opinions on how to best represent their landowners.

Crichton's Fine Books and Collectables:

HM1520p @ 20,000,000m

The Marquess Syksy's impeccable taste in coins has led him to purchase this rare find (https://cryptokingdom.me/marketplace/item/hm1520p). At a benchmark of 20mil, this purchase sets a record for post-alphabay coin price--though it's substantially less than the coin's historical marker of TIE--a piece of land in the Kingdom that went for 5,000mil.

The Marquess of Maple Leaf will be proud to have this in his showroom for many generations to come--as it's a central show piece and talking point for those interested in coins with history and stature.

Matters of State:

When our forces ventured south of Plath, a few things of note took place:

First, the locals were fierce guerilla fighters and didn't take kindly to proactive actions--they rallied quickly and mercilessly--they also managed to use the terrain to lock one of our armies in a pitched battle with another force who had been (unluckily?) in the area. Such people would make great allies.

Secondly, there is large swath of land guarded by a subdued populace--their king boasts a mighty fortress and is said to have a vast military. A siege on such a fortress would aided by aerial power--

As for the Dragon Quest, it looks as though we have 4 brave and noble adventurers willing to go North and attempt to secure a Dragon and the treasure and honors that such an undertaking would provide. If a Game Master could be procured and a Quest scheduled, it would help our Adventurers begin.

Anyone with intimate knowledge of Church and Swedish strategic aims and political posture, please Bless us with your insight--this is a delicate time within the larger international foray.

Signed, House of Crichton

I'm wondering if the Noble titles are still related to CKG owned instead of CK?

Good question,

CK days, game, king  and peers determine leveling--the latter two could use whatever game information they want to determine leveling. The complete RULE can be found here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1616976.msg16248896#msg16248896

For my part, things like recommendations, game participation and work performed will figure most in my decisions. PJ was my first promotion and that was a process of: GM's recommendation and worked performed.

It should be noted that  investment also shows confidence in the game and will be considered as game participation.

Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

XMR is botnet

Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

Thanks for reminding me.

- ASIC neutralizing proof of work - (XMR check)

How hilarious that people whine about ASICs *AND* also whine about botnets, in the case of PoW for which no ASIC exists!   Cheesy

Some people don't understand the concept of tradeoffs and how tradeoffs effect technology--these are the same idiots who don't get why speed increases usually add to data limits and data decreases usually result in decreased security, but I guess botnets has a nice scare-appeal, "WOOOO! Bot-Nets!"

So reb0rn21, how do you propose any coin to be ASIC resistant and not be botnetable?

My points that you missed:

--when I mentioned barber shop, I was talking about wannabe expert opinion, not your meme's haircut.

--that when confronted about your bad opinion, you ran away from it by saying that you don't care about Monero or Zcash.

And my points:

-- I've never said that I am an expert.

-- I'm not running away, I never do that. Discussing Monero with you is a waste of time and it is not the first time I'm saying that I don't care about what happens with Monero (but it is the first time when I'm saying that I don't care about Zcash). Simple truth is that I don't believe in the future of anonymous coins and the readers you are referring to can see that in my post history.

/discussion

Thank you for admitting your opinion isn't expert--and comes from someone who doesn't care about privacy coins and sees no future in them--the first step in growth is being honest with yourself.

Reader can read it for themselves here:

He probably meant Z.cash. Btw, some serious guys invested in the project and I will not be surprised if it even surpass Monero. Check here: https://z.cash/team.html

Because people who want private transactions love 'em a good ol' boy corporate structure--(winces)

I think you need to get back to your barber shop and ask for better pro-picks; the time to short monero would be when LOOOONNNGGG MOOOONNNEROOO threads start popping up, otherwise you come across as a bad poker player who can't bluff for shit. There's a punch line here, but like the dude from The Princess Bride, you're gonna have to go all-in to get it.

If you bet your house on anything anyone says on BCT, you need to spend more time meditating, or whatever, as you're likely gambling your life savings on the advice of someone who has too much skin in the game and wants you to take their seat before they run out of chips--as they say in Rome, " https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caveat_emptor ."

Funny thing is how 2 ETH shills already discussed my haircut in another thread and now we have a Monero worshiper doing it. Like my opinion should matter if I was with a different one. The only difference is that this is indeed me and you guys are just a bunch of forum "Brad Pitt's of Economics" (that's how I named one of the ETH "professors") who are probably uglier than Kardashian's ass. Maybe I should repeat for the 100th time that I don't care about Monero and same goes for the Zcash.

Barbershops are where "experts" show their prowess for misinformation. But thanks for sharing the very opinion (or convenient lack of it) to illustrate the very observation I was making--usually when you corner a barbershop expert on their fundamentals, they back track faster than well....

Here's the number that needs watched: http://coinmarketcap.com/charts/#btc-percentage

market cap has turned into a worthless thing to watch in crypto currency markets. because it is being manipulated so easily.

I can make a new coin named PursuerCoin hype it up to the price of 0.0001BTC which is nothing for new coins and be the number 2 on coinmarket cap list of top markets by simply having 150,000,000,000 PursuerCoin with 100,000,000,000 premine
now if I were rich and could manipulate the price myself too I could reduce the available supply to 84,148,151 and price to 0.02BTC and be number 2

simple as that!

Read the link again and focus on the part that comes after the hashtag.

O Harvest Moon! Bless and maintain these Noble few
who proudly step forward in fairest view:

Red Erin, who deals subtle magic, enough to turn
pigs into manored arms--a pistol no less
Might or Magic--her di must decide.

Moon, who hangs Fall from Summer--Sysky
Bless this Noble traveler as he vetures forth
reward his Noble steps--a Phrophecy

From MoneroMooo'n, a great hoot
that blows up Adventure from blustry path
may his game reward our group--an ancient

Moon--tell of New Liberty's song
wise as the crickets who serenade
Swans swimming Black on Moon lakes.

Noble Moon, guide us, your Kingdom
that grants us our song--freedom.
