2561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Delaware gave IBM a Blockchain Contract for $738,000 to o create a blueprint on: July 09, 2018, 04:39:35 PM
To create a blueprint for their blockchain based corporate filing system. IBM continuous adoption of new tech will keep them relevant, awesome to see an industry leader working hard on getting such public and private contracts that will  show real life use cases for Blockchain

Very interesting news. Do you have a link or something to verify the news?  Smiley
2562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: So Much Scam Bounty on: July 09, 2018, 04:28:17 PM
Why are there so many scam bounties out there and how are we to know which is scam or not

The fraudsters only want one thing, your money! So they make fake ICOs and false bounty campaigns to raise money and to disappear with it. Therefore, always have a close look at the ICO and bounty campaign and do your own research if both are serious. Here in the forum you will find many useful tips on how to discover a scam ICO or bounty campaign and do not rely on websites with ico rating. You can buy these ratings.  Roll Eyes
2563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Community Management Costs? on: July 09, 2018, 04:02:50 PM
Hello bitcointalk,

Does anyone out there know the industry standard cost per hour for community management? both from the big guys and small guys.

Regards

I think the hourly rates are very different. It always depends on the manager or which agency leads a campaign. For example Moonbounties.io want from 2000$ to 4000$ per month for leading a campaign. But some private bounty managers are definitely cheaper. But whoever is better is written on another page. Wink

https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitCore/releases

und dieser Anleitung folgen, und sollte passen?

Quote
Befolgt dazu bitte die folgenden Schritte:
1. Öffnet Eure Bitcore-Core / Bitcore-QT-Wallet.

Smiley
2565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Should we limit members in one campaign? on: July 08, 2018, 02:45:46 PM
in my opinion better in each campaign limited number of participants, I have been following the campaign for 3 months and only get $3 rewards  and it is very sad .. for now, I prefer a campaign that limits the number of participants, hopefully later many bounty manager do it.

I have the same opinion. There should be a limit for participants in a campaign. It would only be fair for the participants. This could also prevent a campaign from being overrun by alt accounts. Although I can understand that a project like to have many people in the campaign, so they can do more advertising, but still they should be fair to the participants. Therefore, I try not to participate in campaigns that are already totally overcrowded anyway. It's usually not worth it.  Wink

https://limxtec.github.io/btx-convert/
Danke fuer deine Antwort.

Smiley
2569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - Are you ready for the future? on: July 06, 2018, 03:09:12 PM
Isn't it possible to just import old private key in new wallet to get new public key? Huh

That should be possible. The private keys do not change. When you import your private keys, you get a new public key, for your old private key.  Wink
2570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thailand Legalize Crypto currency on: July 05, 2018, 10:43:40 AM
That is a good news to the market. More countries will accept Bitcoin as more and more people join Crypto. That enhances the popularity of Bitcoin

That's true. It is really good for Bitcoin that the list of countries that legalize and accept Bitcoin is getting longer and longer. For Thailand, this step will certainly not be bad and it helps to spread Bitcoin in the Asian area. That's why I'm so excited about this news.  Smiley
2571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Syscoin Hack Disrupts Binance Prompting Temporary Shutdown on: July 05, 2018, 10:31:04 AM
Binance stopped it as soon as possible. Imagine if hackers had stolen 1000 BTC...tremendous!!!

the hacker takes 7000BTC off binance ICYMI.

7000 Bitcoins are quite a lot. Sad for Binance to lose so many coins. But I've read that Binance will now save some of the trading fees to reserve for such a fall. So that the customers do not have to pay for such a loss. Personally, I find this decision very good from Binance. But what I am most pleased to read is that Syscoins blockchain is not affected and the chain works as it should.  Wink
2572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Scam scam scam!! on: July 05, 2018, 09:56:50 AM
Some red flags for the beginners in the crypto world! Make sure to check these red flags before investing in any ICO.

1.CLAIMS OF HIGH, GUARANTEED RETURNS.
2.CELEBRITY ENDORSEMENTS.  (check their SNS where announcements are made to make sure they are genuine).
3.CLAIMS OF “SEC-COMPLIANT” (guarantees that their coins will trade on an SEC-compliant exchange where you can buy and sell them for profit)
4. INVESTING WITH A CREDIT CARD.
5. PUMP AND DUMP SCAMS.(Tempting you with guaranteed gains with pumps and dumps during pre ico to crowd sale)
6.Team members without any social profile. if they provide be sure to check the genuinity on basis of followers and background.
7.Language( grammar is correct or not)

and if you have done these (or not)  BE SURE TO READ THE WHITEPAPER!!

Your listing is really good and definitely useful for beginners. What I personally noticed is that bounty campaigns that are accepting newbies too are to 99% scam. Maybe that would be another point that you can write about your list.  Smiley

Smiley

2575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Unpaid bounty on: July 04, 2018, 11:57:14 AM
When you have followed some bounty then at the end of the bounty they promise to distribute their tokens based on the time they have specified. But in fact, after waiting some time token not sent. What's worse, it turns out bounty that we have followed is a scam.
How do you deal with this while your time has gone to work on bounty to promote their projects.

Unfortunately, you can not do anything but you should have learned from it. I do it like this, too. Next time I try to find a bounty campaign that is not scam. Gradually you learn so which ICO you can be trustet and which not. Unluckily, there is no other way. This is learning on the hard way. Unfortunately you can not always recognize scam ICOs before. The scammers are getting better and better and it's really hard to spot all scam ICOs. Falling into a cheater can also happen to very experienced users. Should something like that happen to you, do not let that put you off and look for a good ICO.  Wink

2577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty campaign, really a lot of cheating? on: July 04, 2018, 10:45:16 AM

Everyday I see a lot of complaints about cheating concerning bounty campaigns.

The rules edict by the BM always remind that - obviously - cheating is forbidden (multiaccounts, bot, etc..).

But when I see the quantity of work and organization necessary to do things "legally" I find it hard to imagine that it is so interesting to cheat by multiplying false accounts for
(And it must be very visible)

Would it be possible to get Bounty manager's testimony on this subject?

While I'm not a bounty manager, I've learned from my experience that there are several types of bounty manager. Some are really strict and removing cheater from the campaign. These also pay attention to the quality of the post or other things. But there are also other managers who do not care about the quality of the post and these also accept shit post like weekly bounty reports. They also do not care if cheaters participate in the campaign or not. If attentive users would not point out these cheaters, the cheaters would not be removed. Sometimes you can see the cheaters in the spreadsheet very obviously, but the managers ignore them. These managers just want to do the work as fast as possible and collect their salary. These managers harm the project, what they represent, I think.
For cheaters, it is interesting to farm with many accounts a campaign. Especially if shit post are allowed and they do not earn money otherwise. With 30 or more accounts, it pays off for smaller amounts. They just make money with the mass of accounts.  Shocked

Is this a hack? Quite a serious coin with good prospects. How did this become possible? Maybe it was an attack of 51%?

No, it was not a hack. These are all misunderstood information. Please read post #3161 on top of this page. There the dev answers that it is not a hack.  Wink

That block is transfers back and forth in the same block, not mining new blocks, there were no coins generate other than the regular mining/masternode/superblock schedule.
2579  Economy / Economics / Re: [Survey] Have you ever heard of cryptocurrency? on: July 03, 2018, 08:49:26 AM
It's a survey conducted by ING Bank and the respondents are from Europe, The U.S.A, and Austalia (15 countries in total ~15,000 respondents)
The results are not bad for the reputation of cryptocurrency. I mean, look, in Europe, 66% have heard of the technology, 25% indicated they expect to own cryptocurrency, 35% in Europe agree Bitcoin is the future of spending online.
To me, cryptocurrency is more mainstream than what we can think and hear. Sure, it's not yet in each house but it isn't bad as of now
-snip-

The numbers I find very interesting and from my personal experience i can say that they are quite suitable. If already about 66% of people in europe heard about crypto, i would like to get to know the numbers from asia or the whole world. I think it's because of the last hype from the end of 2017, early 2018, when Bitcoin and altcoins also got a lot of attention in the mainstream media. I can imagine that the numbers will rise in the next few years and we will soon see 99% in europe.  Smiley
2580  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitMEX’s Arthur Hayes Predicts Bitcoin At $50k By The End Of 2018! on: July 03, 2018, 07:56:42 AM
What is your opinion as per Hayes prediction, For the well-known businessman, owner of the largest crypto trading platform by volume, the idea of reaching a value of 50k is not an exaggerated or impossible prediction. "I think something that can go up to 20k in one year can have a correction down to about 6k. I think it definitely found a bottom … but with one positive regulatory decision away, to climb to 20k or even 50k by the end of the year."
Im really hopeful. I want to hear from knowledgeable individual what the future holds. Do you think that prediction is a Crazy Idea?

Always this whole price prdictions. There will always be people who say the Bitcoin price will go up and some people say the price will fall. I no longer listen to these predictions. Although I believe, the price will rise again, but not because someone has previously said. One part of the people will be right with the predictions and the other half has not right. So there is a 50% chance of being right or wrong.  Wink
