2581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: December 19, 2020, 05:41:31 PM
So, Likely Idean community are getting smaller and smaller. Something very weird happened in validation and now losing it values. Number of validator are decreasing, can we hope more traffic at Idena platform in order to perform more better.

Its not the first time when network is smaller after the validation.

It happens when price is very low and expected payout from mining is not motivating enough. Just like bitcoin ... its hashing power is also going down from time to time, when price is dumped.
2582  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie: What are those mysterious spikes? on: December 19, 2020, 05:34:33 PM
I have noticed those spikes in all stable coins (sometimes with more insane prices > $1.5)

This 1.5$ is "Fat-finger error". Whale wanted to dump 100 000 and dumped 1 mln by mistake. It may also be a bug in algo trader code (most likely triangular arbitrage).

According to this 1.03 $ on binance. I guess that a 10 million $ whale wanted to do fast swap.
2583  Economy / Speculation / Re: We should stop using the term "All Time High" on: December 19, 2020, 05:21:29 PM
I think that all time high is also confusing in that way:

link

But to be hones, I doubt it matters. Of course, you can break down everything into details and analyze it forever, but there will always be someone who will analyze the situation one step further. No one wants to change nomenclature each week.
2584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To all of you who believe it's smart to "invest" in Bitcoin on: December 19, 2020, 04:59:05 PM
Nice video but... we are in different economy age now. Sooner or later people will realize that. Its called hot potato game:

"Players arrange themselves in a circle and toss a small, round object (a tennis ball, an orange, or even a real potato will suffice) to each other while music plays. The player who is holding the “hot potato” when the music stops is out. The game continues until one player is left — that player is the winner" https://www.considerable.com/entertainment/games/hot-potato/

Change "a small, round object" with "fiat money", "music stop" is beginning of global reset and you have current economy explained. if we are talking about new technologies (alts) than yes ... 99% of them are evaluated 100 times more than they should, but since its bitcoin discussion thread I assume you target bitcoin evaluation here. Well its not "new technology" created by company that generates profit that is unpossible to estimate. Its 10 year old technology that was created by satoshi who left it long ago and is one of few ways for not holding a "hot potato"

Bitcoinowi jeszcze daleko do rentowności fang+

2586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: December 19, 2020, 08:06:09 AM
My proposal of handling this human farm issue (if its human farm at all, IMO its another exploit):

1- fork network without farm (identities killed, no funds lost - despite stake - it was ment to be lost when you are cheating network. Stealing funds will make us monsters similar to banks)
2- ask exchanges to limit generating new deposit address to once per day/week -that would force farm owners to consolidate funds from many nodes before dumping
3- create soft that auto detect fund consolidating and makes suspicious addresses public (this will also show all other farms that exist but was not detected before)
4- suspicious addresses goes into oracle voting to be excluded from network (identities killed, no funds lost)
4a - no rewards for voters (we should not promote killing innocent nodes)
4b - proof of stake voting (you are not able to stake bought coins so its more like a proof of age). This will make it harder for farm to survive voting even with the majority of network. Mostly such voting will not do
anything since farm will rather decide to self-kill to run with stake rather than trying to cheat the voting.
5- create farm hunting bounty (coins from lost stake by all farm participants?)
6- flexible invitation limit based on previous epoch network grow - invitations should be rare ... not thrown away to everyone who ask. They lose their purpose if they are being used like they are now. This should make it hard to grow fast for next farms.

All this points should make creating big farms extremely hard, mostly unprofitable, and give network time to grow in a healthy way until we will reach amount of real nodes big enough that it is impossible for one human farm to take over the network. Current farm has like 15% of all network (nodes that we know about). This is dangerous.

We should fight until there is no way to fight. Devs proposal can be implemented after lost fight too. We doesn't need to give up without fighting.
2587  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: IDENA - SCAM on: December 19, 2020, 07:45:28 AM
It cannot be said that it is 100% immune to human farms after the team confirmed that one IDENA user managed to manage 700 accounts and form a pool, and of course this must be assisted by at least 350 people, assuming one person uses 2 IDENA accounts.

This is very unlikely, even I myself can't imagine 350 people can work in one command on a project that is still in beta. But if this really happens, then the voting process through voting will have big problems that will be faced by the entire IDENA ecosystem.

It looks like he doesn't need 350 people if his soft is well enough and optimize demand of humans by creating one big flip pool for all people in farm, sorting out duplicates, sorting out known flips, solving easy flips with AI and passing hard flips to farm only.

Team already presented solution for this case. They decided not to fight with farms but give them super priviliges that gives them financial motivation for showing up and being banned from voting in oracle. IMO its not good solution for this case but this thing is so delicate that there is no good solution. There are only bad and very bad but... this is not place for such discussion. Its scam accusation thread not "current problem that innovative coin have" thread.
2588  Local / Polski / Re: Pospekulujmy o aktualnej i przyszłej cenie BTC. on: December 18, 2020, 05:55:25 PM

Czyli jakbyś chciał sprzedać srebro to też dużo taniej niż cena rynkowa. A tak nie było. Obie ceny (skup/sprzedaż) odjechały powyżej ceny kontraktów.
2589  Local / Polski / Re: Pospekulujmy o aktualnej i przyszłej cenie BTC. on: December 18, 2020, 12:37:40 PM

JPMorgan settled a $920 million fine with U.S. authorities on charges of precious metals price manipulation last week.

Gold Suppression: It’s Not a Question of IF but to WHAT EXTENT

Scotiabank fined US$127.5 million for gold manipulation

JPMorgan fined $1.26 billion for manipulating precious metals

a to afery jakie znalazłem po 5 min szukania po wpisaniu w google "gold manipulation by banks". Jest tego duuuużo więcej.
2590  Economy / Economics / Re: So where are all the normie Economists, Bankers, who said it was over in 2018? on: December 18, 2020, 09:27:41 AM
They get it long ago. To buy big you need FUD... as much as possible. Can you imagine trying to fill bags as cheap as possible in the same time saying how awesome bitcoin is pushing bitcoin price up with every good word you say? Saying good about bitcoin and in the same time buying bitcoin is a conflict of interest
2591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: HELP Getting CEL out of Coinbank Wallet on: December 18, 2020, 09:14:15 AM
I have asked Coinbase Wallet this questions numerous times never getting an answer that works.

What answers did you get? Maybe you are doing something wrong.

Celsius is just an ERC-20 token. Should be easy to dump to ETH and deposit to any exchange that will allow you to dump it to $ and withdraw to US bank account (linke binance.us, or coinbase).

I would go with:
1- creace ETH wallet using metamask
2- withdraw cel to this wallet
3- use uniswap to dump cel to eth
4- deposit ETH to cainbase on binance.us
5- dump to $
6- withdraw $

Or use build in DAPs in coinbase wallet, find any DEX (not sure what is there) and dump CEL to ETH there.
2592  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Concept of volume as an indicator on: December 18, 2020, 09:04:30 AM
There are so many things going on that fakes volume/ makes it hard to read that you should rather avoid this indicator or treat it with a grain of salt.

1-if price break support on your exchange first than price will go up (stop losses, over leveraged shorts etc.) arbitrage traders will buy from other exchanges dumping on yours filling orders making big volume while same breakout on other exchanges will affect in smaller volume and this is the same breakout, just observed on 2 different exchanges.
2- you, as a whale, can hide volume using futures/options
3- fake volume is not that expensive. If you are vip5 on binance its 1 000$ per 1 mln $ fake volume. This is enough to cheat volume for 90% of altcoins.
4 - its hard to read volume on high volatile market. Just take a look at that:

Volume is more a less constant? Nah it was 600k BTC at 5k$ BTC - $3b its 500k at 23k BTC now - 11.5 B$. What is more important? Growing volume in BTCs or in $?

If you want to trade using volume as indicator make sure to observe it on highest volume exchange. Binance futures currently
2593  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cionbase IPO going publick any buyers? on: December 18, 2020, 08:41:24 AM
Huge news. I will not buy it but I think it will be big. Especially with media hype around bitcoin pump. Wonder if its coinbase only or new trend and every big and decent exchange will do IPO. Wonder how it will affect unility tokens distributed by exchanges (like BNB or KCS).
2594  Local / Polski / Re: Pospekulujmy o aktualnej i przyszłej cenie BTC. on: December 18, 2020, 07:23:55 AM

Trochę pomaga tutaj kursowi w USD dewaluacja dolara (względem m.in.

2595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin reaches its highest price since 2019 on: December 17, 2020, 04:07:32 PM

I don't see any ATH in here. Its slightly going up thanks to huge BTC pump. We had 140$ in jun 2019. Litecoin was also not established in 2019. It was established in 2015 as i remember correctly.

2596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving: Things you need to know | Crypto Publication on: December 17, 2020, 03:56:00 PM
I would only add that each new halving has lower fundamental impact and higher speculative impact on price. Since the very first halving decreased inflation from 25% to 12%, second halving from 9% to 4,5%, third one decreased inflation from 3,8% to 1,9%. Fundamentals behind current halving were like 15 times lower comparing to first halving. Next halvings will stop to have any fundamental influence on price since decrease from 1% inflation to 0.5% inflation is like nothing. Both are close to dust.
2597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What price point will retailers buy up to (today) and do retailers even matter? on: December 17, 2020, 03:48:19 PM
Still I'm wondering who is going to want to buy bitcoin at 25k, 30k etc (in the near term say the next year or so)
who didn't load up already? Maybe stack some cash and if I have to pay 30k a year or even 6 months from now at
least I'll have been shown some stability.

Thats because we made +100% in 3 months. Price will stop sooner or later, indicators will chill out, we will see 3-6 months consolidation and you will see "buy bitcoin now or regret forever" all around the place after braking new ATH at 25-28k.

Same will happend at 50k range, 100k range etc. This bull run will take years not weeks. We were waiting for new ATH for 3 years. Give 3 years for the bubble to form to the final stage now.
2598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $20 000 BTC. We did it on: December 16, 2020, 02:31:15 PM
ATH. Congratulations to all storng hands that didn't dump bitcoin before. We've been waiting exacly 3 years for new ATH to be confirmed. 3 long years. 20 000!

Strong hands. You are awesome.
Panic sell to 3k$ after breaking 6k support (11-2018)
Covid panic sell to 4k$ from 10k$ (03-2020)
We survived.
2599  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Competitions with Zero Deposit? Contests? on: December 14, 2020, 09:15:09 AM
He said, using API from a popular exchange but to track every participant who joined the competition did we need to give your personal account API Trade to him? Everyone will think it not safe to give your API to a random guy.

When you generate API key you are choosing permissions for this particular api key. It can be info only, trading only, withdrawal only, all together and many other different options. So you can safely enable others to see your trades as long as you know what you are doing handling you API keys.
Lots of apps collect info only API keys from clients (f.e. Crypto App, Blockfolio, CoinTracker)
After competition you can terminate your API key. So its pretty safe and easy to organize such competition with a little of coding. But as I said ... i doubt there will be much traffic in this.
2600  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Competitions with Zero Deposit? Contests? on: December 14, 2020, 06:53:40 AM
Anyway, a few questions want to ask about your plant to held competition trading :
- If this plant-based on your own, how you can track the competition?
- Using real money or not ?

All these answers were already provided in post quoted by you...

- If this plant-based on your own, how you can track the competition?
"I could monitor the participants with API on a popular trading platform"

-Using real money or not ?
"on a popular trading platform"

@OP
I doubt that there will be much traffic in such competition.
