(Coinbase $34.2k at the moment) So i threw my last fiat reserves at them  They probably won't get set back too hard, because there was only one buy from someone else between my first two orders. - von einem Dip kann man sprechen, wenn der Preis mindestens 30% runter geht
- bei einer Korrektur fällt der Preis um mindestens 50%
- ein Crash hat man ab mindestens 80%
Alles wird beim Bitcoin auch in Zukunft vorkommen. Dips sehr oft, Korrekturen oft und ein Crash zumindest einmal alle fünf Jahre.
Was wir bis jetzt sehen, lässt sich als "nichts" am besten beschreiben.
Also ein halber Dip? Mann, ich dachte schon Bitcoin wäre jetzt tot! Wir sind im Bullenmarkt, denke nicht, dass wir die vollen 30% runterrutschen. Und wenn auch, man hatte das ganze letzte Jahr Zeit, um zu "vernünftigen" Preisen zu kaufen. Die zwei Dips hatte ich trotzdem mitnehmen können. Für mich hat's nun endlich Ende mit warten, bin mit 25% BTC ca. bis Ende 2021 gebunden, der Rest bleibt für die Zukunft. |

I think coinbase IPO will be less interesting for people/institutions that want to actually own bitcoin, or invest in it with bigger timeframes in mind. This way, they (CB) mainly just maximise profits, at an amount of risk that even bitcoin doesn't inherently carry. When bitcoin goes down, coinbase is history. Plot Twist: After Coinbase IPOs, they announce that they are going to put millions extra $$$ into Bitcoin as their treasury. Stock goes to the mewn. Bitcoin goes higher as well. That, or if they say that you can get some coinbase IPO shares if you buy bitcoin on the platform by certain date. AirBNB rewarded early hosts with some IPO shares, same for UBER and drivers. His point is that for fiat holders it is easier to invest in a company vs bitcoin itself. MSTR is just a very small vessel in market cap, but Coinbase would be a bigger one. Think of this a a flow of funds. If some funds flow would be converted/re-directed to CB in lieu of bitcoin, bitcoin price might temporarily stagnate or even decline somewhat. That's the gist of his argument, but he could be wrong, of course. Put simple, "coinbase" doesn't have this commonly known success story, compared to "bitcoin". I disagree with the opinion of the author. It's a gimmick of the main show, imo, so i'm curious in which way this will play out. |

Looks like the sale is over! Congrats to those who managed to grab some last under $40k coins! Bought £350 worth (0.0125 BTC) at the time. Coinbase was playing up though man, kept freezing. Wasn’t a big buy but I would have got more corn if it didn’t keep lagging. I tried to buy when it was $35,500. Only went through when it was like $37,7xx though  That's why i like brokers. The prices are a tad higer, but they are set on intervals (90 secs in my case), so i can check out the moment the price hits the 1m bottom. Enough time to evaluate manual buys. Missed the low by about $200. This is fine, though. What broker are you using? I can't disclose because of opsec reasons, sorry. Anyway, you would have to be of the same nationality to be able to use it (which is unlikely). |

It's a very quiet place, on a small hill in the middle of a forest. I found it on google maps originally, decided to check it out on a hike. There were also horses. I had to wait quite a time until they had moved their hairy asses out of the viewport.  EDIT2: The upper pic is from the Eos-M using a 10-22mm ultrawide angle EF/s lens, while the lower pic is from a Nikon D70 using the standard 18-70mm AF-s (which i smashed in blind anger, not proud of it at all) |

A few thoughts about the current bitcoin price:
1. With the price at about $40K, bitcoin has to go to $8mil/btc (~160 tril market cap) to replicate the move from roughly $200 in 2015 to about 40K now. This might still happen, but it would probably take several decades and could only happen is at least half of current world wealth would be denominated in bitcoin. M. Saylor has a 15 mil target, which is basically 100% replacement-upper bound.
2. From these numbers it becomes clear that coming right now with a small investment would not mean that you would become super wealthy, or at least not anytime soon, and you need to understand this situation.
3. Having said that, buying about a quarter of btc now ($10k) makes perfect sense as it is more than 89 earthlings combined could have (on average). Invest about $11K and you are in 1% as far as btc is concerned. The $ number would obviously go up in the future. In fiat ($$), you have to have about $5mil to breach the 1% (in US) in wealth, with about $11mil being the median.
4. We are currently observing fiat wealth (hedge funds, family offices, some companies) being thrown into bitcoin, so there is an intense competition to buy. Very wealthy do not need large % gain since they already have wealth and want simply to amplify it.
4. Conclusion: maybe a bit late to make insane gains for a smaller individual investor, but investing as little as $11K in btc at this moment might EVENTUALLY bring you or your family to top 1% in wealth, albeit it would most likely take some time (in my estimation, decades).
Bitcoin is still recognized and taken serious by a minority of people, but this "audience" seems to grow, and on the other hand fresh supply is capped every 4 years, and you can see the decline in free coins on exchange statistics and global analytics (glassnode). Based on this, bitcoin doesn't even need that much fiat inflow from traditional SOV, it just needs to basically run out of current market supply, while buying interest goes up. We saw 2017, how fast demand can grow. Consider that this demands meets rareness of available coins, when all the weak hands already sold for profit and only freshly mined coins could be available for buyers. How would that fit into your long term picture? EDIT: Of course, exchanges will be among the most desperate buyers in the "(almost) no liquidity" phase(s). |
