2581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A logo for Satoshis, the smallest unit of a bitcoin. on: July 21, 2019, 11:01:20 PM
Satoshis are the smallest unit of a bitcoin. 100,000,000 Satoshi is equal to 1 bitcoin, 1 Satoshi = 0.00000001 bitcoin. In the future (where bitcoin is way more valuable), it would be much easier to use Satoshis as a unit of price, but unlike the BTC logo where it is the bold B with the two slashes, there doesn't seem to be a logo like this for the Satoshis unit. Can we as a community create and settle on a logo for Satoshis and start maybe test using it? It will take a while for it to catch on but it is for the better.

TLDR : Create a logo for Satoshis, the smallest unit of bitcoin, like the BTC logo and start using it.

Satoshi is a part of bitcoin, he can use the logo of bitcoin anytime. It's not a different currency, so I think we don't need to create a logo for satoshi. If they really wanted that then the founder itself will create it, not us. Why do you think a logo is very necessary and come up to the point that we need a logo for satoshi? lol. Stop thinking complex things because it will just end to a lot more error, this is enough.
2582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Explaining the consequences of KYC on: July 21, 2019, 10:57:16 PM
KYC should be discouraged within the blockchain space. It saddens me that more exchanges and platforms keep requesting it. User privacy and anonymity is something we shouldn't have to bargain for. With increasing data breaches, the security of personal information is something that is often taken for granted; that an exchange was hacked and no funds were stolen doesn't mean nothing was stolen, user data could have easily been stolen.

Agree, those platforms are very greedy that they all wanted to conquer a lot of personal information. If that is the case, find something that doesn't require KYC so you can freely trade your currencies. Obviously, personal information can be used in fraud and the worst case is to be stolen by some anonymous hackers. You aren't sure about the platform itself if they have really maximum security, your life is at stake too.
2583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's strength is that nobody can crack it yet on: July 21, 2019, 10:53:28 PM
And it will remain so for a long time.
No government, no parties can effectively ban it and put their hand on it. They would have to ban internet first. Not likely.
That would be the end of free world we know.

Yes, bitcoin transaction cannot be cracked and destroyed yet it can be stopped by government's putting regulations or serious damage to it that amy hinder its use and may lead to people's lose of interest to it. If no one uses bitcoin ever again, its strength and invincibility will be useless.

The blockchain itself is the good technology that will give strength to bitcoin. The only thing bitcoin will be non-sense is due to the government's decision to ban or internet shutdown. So as a bitcoin user, don't support the currency, support the technology itself.
2584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao Now Stands as Favorite vs Thurman — Sportsbooks on: July 21, 2019, 10:49:05 PM
I could not watching live match because it wasn't available on my local channel tv and only can watching through youtube for the first round when Pacquiao knock out Thurman and apparently after that Pacquiao can dominated almost for every rounds

You should have continue to watch because apparently the fight is close around the middle round and Thurman won some of those rounds.

However, it was not enough though, as Pacquiao shows why he is a 8 division champ and withstand the pressure from Thurman, specially that body shot in 10th if i'm not mistaken.

So congrats for a well deserved win from the fighting senator of the Philippines and all those who bet for Pacquiao.

An 8 division champion vs an undefeated boxer? It's quite a good fight.
I only watch it on facebook live and it gives me goosebump because I'm waiting for Manny Pacquiao to knocked out Thurman. Pacman deserved that win and hoping that he will focus on his job.
2585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A new kind of scam in telegram using gambling site on: July 21, 2019, 10:43:31 PM
Devs will not message you in telegram. Probably they see your account in the community of other platforms and will send you a PM. It's very unprofessional if they will do that and It's very obvious that its a shady action. It's easy to create a dummy account on telegram because you'll just buy a new number then register it to a telegram. Never trust people especially on a social media platform.
2586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Strategy on: July 21, 2019, 10:23:40 PM

When we talk about gambling, strategies were much into discussion. It gives a overlook strategies were the one that gives the winning, which in reality gets a 50-50 chance. To me even when we apply some specific strategy in between the game and if he/she doesn't have luck it will be a loss. Gambling strategies were just a hint that can be used to increase the winning chance.
This is where you are wrong. Gambling strategies won't increase your winning chance rate. If you are playing dice and say that your win chance is set to 50%, no matter what strategy you apply, you win chance won't change a bit and will stay 50%. Strategies just help you to reduce your losses in short run. But, in the long run, the results will always be the same.
You're wrong too, how about in poker where bluffing is very usual, it's part of the strategy too. If that goes well then I might say the bluff is working. Being intellectual in every game/rounds are part of gambling strategies. I already been in a game physically and digitally and come up with different strategies that can win me straight through.
2587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: July 21, 2019, 10:19:17 PM
About Mayweather fight? I don't really expect too much maybe this time after manny won the fight he might retire this time now.

If you don't know Manny and Mayweather meet again before this happen is even a thing and I think it may come. Again, Mayweather getting out of his retirement and fighting Manny Pacquiao, fans want it, some analysts think it may come but still we don't know. All I know is that if Manny will be getting up again in the ring, it will be Floyd Mayweather he will be facing.
It's interest many fans and speculators as this rematch will bring a big noise back to the boxing industry, after Manny defeated Thurman it's showed up that he still have something and with the expected fight with Mayweather surely it will again bring more interested fans and gamblers to place their owned opinions and predictions.
Yes, I think he can easily fight for 3 or 4 more years, because he's still a great champion.
But everybody want to see him fighting again against Mayweather now.
He knows it and I think Mayweather knows it too. The pressure on the 2 big stars is growing, they can't avoid it.

Knowing Manny Pacquiao, I don't think he will fight for more many years. He is a Senator in our country and according to an interview here in our local news, he will focus on his job. If that happens then it's a good thing though, the tax that we pay are his salary.
2588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: decisions of traders and investors on: July 21, 2019, 05:31:02 PM
Definitely will go to another exchange. If they don't have maximum security how will they assure that it will not happen again? Also, I doubt that the exchange really been hacked. They just get the money of their users and will just announce an excuse for hacking. It's very hopeless for those who are valuable users that lost a lot of BTC.
2589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC vs USD - Which one is better? on: July 21, 2019, 05:01:48 PM
For now, maybe we can choose BTC for its decentralization, unlike USD that is being controlled by the government. If they oppose the bitcoin and do everything to diminish it then BTC is done for. USD for lifetime and BTC is for the hype today because it has a lot of profit we can make to it.
2590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin so valuable just because it was first? on: July 21, 2019, 04:43:41 PM
Bitcoin was very valuable because of its advanced and precious technology called Blockchain.

Well to be honest dude, there are some altcoins that are much more good and better than Bitcoin just like Ethereum.
But since Bitcoin was established the big community in the entire world, now wonder why lot of investors embraced it maybe
because of its unique features it has that's all what I had noticed.

To be honest also, Ethereum has the ability to be sided with bitcoin but Ethereum is way far to bitcoin when calculating the gap. You didn't noticed the blockchain itself in bitcoin that's why it's the greatest and leading cryptocurrency of all. Ethereum is like bitcoin but with when talking about features and platform who adopted cryptocurrency, bitcoin is the best.
2591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the price of Bitcoin if Donald Trump can ban Bitcoin ? on: July 21, 2019, 04:39:17 PM
I think the prices will most definitely drop if Trump would ban bitcoin, simply due to the fear of people owning it. I have no doubts that majority of the Americans will sell, while the others will just hide their coins on their wallets and not use them for now.

P.S. Governments can't ban Bitcoin per se, just as they can't ban torrents, but they can definitely make the ownership of bitcoin illegal. Probably by giving penalties like jail time and such.

I don't think the price will drop if Trump bans the bitcoin. Most of the platforms and users are not in the US, most of them are in Europe so I think it'll affect it a little bit. If OP is just referring about the bitcoin then Ethereum and other platforms will lively go pump in the market.
2592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You cannot win in gambling on: July 21, 2019, 04:25:57 PM
Basically, we can't win in gambling because we win in gambling by luck, without luck no chance to win, even in this stage, we can't say that our experience will be counted. Because we have only one option to win in gambling by luck and nothing more.

I agree on that, gambling is really a luck game. If you don't have luck then It might lose a lot of money in the game. No one can easily acquire luck but I know that being intellectual also is part of the game. You may use it against your opponents as long it's legal and through that, it will make you more money.
2593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What 🛠are the advantages 🔝of playing poker💵 on: July 21, 2019, 04:21:04 PM
There are a lot of advantages on playing poker especially when you're good at bluffing. First one is you'll develop on how to bluff or fool the opponent through your actions. It will enhance your behavioral actions towards the game and will learn to control the game. I think poker is the only gambling game that will definitely help you to enhance your math skills, especially on the probabilities and possibilities.
2594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: July 21, 2019, 04:16:04 PM
I think that the result of this fight is one of those cases when it is professionalism that wins over youth.  Everyone wanted to retire a forty-year-old fighter, which was constantly expressed by observers, which is ordinary in professional sports.  But Ranqiao brilliantly had a duel knocking out an opponent in the first round and this is probably a good opportunity to go on a well-deserved rest at the height of glory.
It's determination to proved that age is not the deciding factor, once a fighter always a fighter not even age Gap have a big difference Manny showed how determinated he was to win over this young Thurman, after this win he's expected to fight again not yet for any retirement talk he loves to still be here so another match to be expect from Pacman.

Age doesn't matter if you're dedicated to your passion, no matter what happens it will lead you to success. I always keep saying that even Manny Pacquiao is very old than Thurman, experiences will be your factors to win the fight. I already watch a lot of fights and concluded the same thing. If you're really gifted in that way, the experience will easily conquer those. Pacman will not give up in boxing, this is the passion he wanted, he gained all of the wealth through this.
2595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler's mindset! on: July 21, 2019, 04:11:49 PM
I have tried to think what goes through my mind when ever I am trying to place a bet. I think something strange do happen to me and that is I always have this thinking that what if I lose, how am I going to feel! I have never want to lose in my mind I want to win always but I think this is impossible. Gamblers here did you always want to win all your bet? If you win all how will the gambling company makes profits?

Every gambler(including me) is visualizing the moment, when he wins after making  a big risky bet.
The gamblers get addicted to the dopamine that gets produced in the brain,so they just want more and more.
Everyone knows that we can't simply win all bets, but this dopamine hunger of the subconscious mind is leading the gamblers to taking bigger risks.

We gamble because we are hoping that one day we will get the fortune that we want. However, that moment is very elusive from happening. In our minds, we want to win but most of the time, our fate says otherwise. So use money in gambling that you can afford to lose. In case you lost, it's not hard to accept.

If you gamble just put in your mind that you will lose because that is the fact, if you will think for a profit that is the time that you will need to settle down betting, the more you think you need to win the deep you will fall. If you win then go for it if you lose then stop. Just put some funds for gambling if we cant afford to lose in the end.

If you're a gambler, you know yourself that we can't avoid losing in the game. Losing is already part of the game because it has only pure chances to win. We should be intellectual and spending money especially on using it in gambling because it might be gone when spent due to greediness. If you wanted to win the game, you will risk a lot of money there but It will just increase your chances.
2596  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to start learning programming? on: July 21, 2019, 03:49:32 PM
Start in C+ or maybe python because it has basic codes that you will easily understand when coding. Python has a different kind of codes and github, you can browse those if you want to learn on different levels. I learned MATLab/Octave, Python, C++ during my programming subject days, even there's a prof that will teach you those, It's really hard. There are also youtube tutorials you can watch for you to learn basic programming codes.

https://github.com/python here's the link.
2597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: July 21, 2019, 03:05:02 PM
~snip~

Even without that knockdown, Manny still going to win. He almost dominated all rounds except in the later part where is he's tagged by right straight of Thurman. This still a good fight with both fighters not backing down and keep on pounding their gloves on each others face.

That I have to disagree with you and the judges scorecards says it otherwise. Aside from the judge scoring it in favor of Thurman the ones who scored for money only has him leading by two or three points which is just 3 rounds where if not for that knockdown like I said may go the other way around. Aside from a very close fight Thurman himself outbox Pacquiao in terms of punches landed where we usually see Pacman land two or three times more against his opponent, Thurman really showed he can fight toe-to-toe against a offensive specialist.

If you're really watching boxing. The scoreboards don't really affect the game even Manny Pacquiao dominates the score. Thurman can win the fight via unanimous decision because he is a defending champion and a holder of the title. Even Thurman landed heavy blows to Pacman that we can say It's a good fight. That's why It's good that Manny Pacquiao knocked down him in round 1 of the fight and win via split decision.
2598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: July 21, 2019, 02:37:23 PM
I knew it, Manny Pacman will win the fight!

CONGRATS MANNY "PACMAN" PACQUIAO!!
PROUD TO BE A FILIPINO

Thurman was knocked down in Round 1 so Pacman has a chance to win via split decision even Thurman is a defending champion. Congratulation for those who bet for Manny Pacquiao with a lot of BTC. I win too but it's a small amount of BTC only.  Cheesy

What do you mean Pacquiao has a chance? Thurman is the underdog.

As the casters said, this should not even be a split decision. I agree with them since we are seeing Pacquiao retaliating whenever Thurman make a move. Also, MP owns a lot of rounds, this should not be a split decision, should be a unanimous decision. Any "balato" I can get here? Hahaha. I won against my cousin since I bet a lot to Pacquiao but that is just 500 pesos, like $9-$10

I thought Pacman is the underdog in this fight because Thurman was currently the title holder of WBA welterweight champion. Then after this fight, Pacquiao defeated Keith Thurman via Split Decision and claimed Thurman's WBA (Super) welterweight title. That knocked down in the first round made the split decision in favor of Pacman.
2599  Economy / Economics / Re: Another good news for cryptocurrency in the Philippines on: July 21, 2019, 02:28:38 PM
If that's the case then I might go to Iloilo and buy a property now.  Cheesy

It is nice to know that some people in the Philippines started to use cryptocurrencies like bitcoin as a payment in selling their properties. These people, no doubt, are well informed on the use of cryptocurrencies and knew where to use it. The Philippines have already made a significant progress in adopting bitcoin as mode of payment and investment and I hope it can sustain it.

It really is good news. This is one way to show that cryptocurrencies are really being known across the country. Our government is also cool about it and with this kind of simple way of acknowledging crypto and adopting it, I'm pretty sure that it can be sustained. Let's just be positive about it. Grin

Let's not just be positive, we should support the community here in our country so the government will try to learn at least the basics and the advantages of bitcoin so they can implement a nationwide transaction of cryptocurrency. And also wish that the development of the blockchain itself will help us to make a better economy with advanced technology.
2600  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Are Women Slowly Leaning On To Crypto Trade? on: July 21, 2019, 02:22:28 PM
If you're a trader, gender is not being taken seriously since everyone can do that simple thing. But simply having a debate with a man is very unusual that's why they keep their distance and doing some trading without us knowing. If a human is interested in the knowledge then let them be even if its a man or a woman, when it comes to learning in cryptocurrency, there's no gender.
