1821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not we donate some Bitcoin for corona virus? on: February 25, 2020, 12:23:52 AM
Others would say that they don't need donation of money because they have enough. But I would say that they still need it. For medical purposes and masks because it's been out of stocked. But aside from money, I think what they really need is man power to handle all cases. And as for using Bitcoin to donate it in China, we can do that if there's someone who'll take action with it. But I wouldn't just donate bitcoin easily because what if it's not legit. How can we give our trust easily? Unless if it's started by trusty people.
Our country already donated a million of a facemask. Even World health organization already donated medical equipment and masks for their use so I wonder what's the purpose of the donation if it's already done by other communities?

Also, our country has already sent volunteer doctors in Wuhan, take note, they're professionals. These things could be done without dragging bitcoin into this, so I find it useless and probably many people will just take advantage of this project if happened.
1822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving Clock on: February 24, 2020, 11:36:57 PM
I wonder what it will be like after Halving? I constantly see extremely exaggerated price forecasts and if after Halving the price drops, it is capable of many people having a nervous breakdown.
there were 2 bitcoin block reward halvings already. After each one of them, bitcoin price skyrocketed. According to Binance, bitcoin price before the 1st halving was around 12$ and went up to 650$ just before the 2nd halving.
Let's hope that history repeats itself.
I hope so. I will hold a lot of BTC before bitcoin halving comes.
But, I think that Binance Academy site is the accurate one,
not sure if we can call it the most accurate as it keeps fluctuating based on the avetage time between blocks and
hence don't give a fixed date!
I think it's the estimated date.
Not accurate but it's possible to happen on that date or near on it.
Agree, that getting blocks per day isn't constant.
1823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Simpsons talks about Cryptocurrency on: February 24, 2020, 11:19:27 PM

I just also saw this on the link you have provided, where there's an episode in season 8 and you can see the word "crypto" barn at the back. It was aired in March 1997 and it's interesting that it was aired a long time ago yet we can see the word crypto.
Source:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnHR0I3kuMQ

Although crypto doesn't just mean cryptocurrency, you can also see beside it a statement saying "a place for codes" which is very related to cryptocurrency.
So it means that The Simpsons partially predicted the upcoming cryptocurrency?

Tho, most of the modern technology now requires massive computing and programming, and that's "a place for codes" means.

Very interesting.  Shocked
1824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not we donate some Bitcoin for corona virus? on: February 24, 2020, 11:00:50 PM
Donation? Why would we?

I mean, China is already a great country, most of the investors and whales of cryptocurrency are from that country.

I don't hate them, it's just weird that me from a third world country, donating to a country of whales.
Well, if you guys wanted to do it, we just need a credible and trusted member from China to start it.
1825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is getting more adopted in my Country on: February 24, 2020, 10:39:15 PM
IMO, ATM is the first step so take a better look if your country is really adapting the use of bitcoin. Even here in our capital, there's a Bitcoin ATM but none of them use it.

If you see that most of the platforms in your country, even stores accept bitcoin as payment, we can say that bitcoin is really adapted by your country.
In my country, I can't still say we already adapted bitcoin since we only have one platform that serves as a local wallet which is coins.ph.
1826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PEOPLE WILL NEVER STOP FALLING FOR SCAM on: February 23, 2020, 10:40:39 PM
Just always do a fact check. Google is there, don't be fooled on such too good to be true benefits.

for now when there is a new gambling website I will also try it with a small capital to find out the scam or not.
You can check the legitimacy of a gambling site without investing small money on it.

Deep checking will serve as your guide to determine if it's a scam or not. Everything is an open-source now, you don't need to waste money on that.
But if the site seems legit, outside and inside, then that's the time to try with a small capital and test to give a review.
1827  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Paolo Tomenes, famous pinoy sneaker YouTuber, nahack ang YouTube account on: February 23, 2020, 05:46:49 PM
*snip*
As far as I know pwede naman atang walang SMS number na connected sa Google account ng isang tao? Might be the case na inalis nya "para di hassle" or something like that. The typical learn the hard way pag security ang pinag uusapan.

Kaya nga kahit yung google account ko, may 2fa at SMS kahit nakakatamad kapag maglologin sa ibang IP, tinitiis nalang kasi for the sake of security naman. And malaking bagay din yung recovery email, kaya dapat meron din tayo non.

Dapat iba din yung business email sa email ng ginagamit for youtube. Yung ibang youtuber kasi, ibang email ang ginagamit talaga lalo na for public use.
1828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto whales hacked, lost $15M BTC and $30M BCH on: February 23, 2020, 04:58:31 PM
Is it true? There's a possibility that this is false news since many people wanted to down BTC.

It might result in drastic changes since whales have a great factor in the flow of the cryptocurrency market.

Even if you have expertise in cybersecurity, hackers can get what they want especially if it's a group. That's why it's one of the disadvantages once crypto was adapted to be the main currency or use it as a huge business. One of the results also, people will give negative thoughts about crypto regarding this situation.
1829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Simpsons talks about Cryptocurrency on: February 23, 2020, 04:18:00 PM
There's a lot of vision that came true from that cartoon show.
The recent vision of that show was when Kobe Bryant die.

Try to read more here:

Even it's a show, there's a probability over 50% that the content of that episode might happen in the future 'cause why would they make a joke with specific details of what happened? It's too accurate.

The Simpsons' author said to be a time traveler, I wonder how that is possible? Anyways, I'm excited about the revelation of the real Satoshi.

1831  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Consider these 12 things before joining a bounty program on: February 18, 2020, 09:45:46 PM
7. Test them the first week, to see if they reward what they promised.
Most bounties as i know don't even pay weekly. They pay bounty hunters their worthless tokens several months after the end of ICO/IEO which is kind of unfair but bounty hunters also cause such situations to exist. They are so many bounty hunters out their who are desperate to do anything to even just earn those worthless tokens
Agree to @jeromeTash.

Back those days that I'm still joining bounties. You can't easily check if the campaign is legit since the payment is after several months. So most of the effort spent on altcoin campaigns is getting into waste. It's hard to tell in the first week of the campaign 'cause if it's a scam, they will probably hide their malicious intent until the end of ICO/IEO where they earn investments.

So if you're bounty hunter, more effort and time are gonna be a waste but if you get a jackpot, it's huge money.
1832  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Roadway from zero to hero (with 22 topics). I reached it today. on: February 18, 2020, 09:40:50 PM

1833  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best guide so far... on: February 18, 2020, 03:35:06 PM
Is it really for the money or development of our community?
Those stuff just makes this industry sound like a religion if you ask me. Too unnecessarily cheesy for my taste.
If the point is more likely a religion, then I think I have forgotten to specify that we should be worshiping all day long to bitcoin, if that's "cryptocurrency in our life" means. I just thought bitcoin especially blockchain as the solution in the future, the point is to make bitcoin a better use or be more innovative on using bitcoin and the idea discussed here shouldn't be a waste.

A waste? Not really. You just described education as a waste.
I hope we aren't speaking for ourselves. Think of those people who're participating in discussions but didn't even give a fck or give importance to the information they read, more likely it's a waste, it's a fact that we shouldn't deny. We aren't really forcing them, this is supposed to motivate those people who're still confused 'cause unlike some of you that already knows what to do even at the start of the journey. Also, I didn't even say or pointed out that education is a waste, that's too general.

just having the will to study and participate, even if it is for income, is already quite enough IMO.
We're on the same boat when I still didn't appreciate the technicalities and the use of it. I thought it's enough to just learn for the money, eventually, I appreciated it and realize to make more use of it to gain bigger and reach a better goal once you've applied it to your life. That's what I meant and the only point of my statements, don't take it too deeply.

1834  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Use Discord with caution on: February 18, 2020, 02:38:43 PM
I thought discord has some security issues when I read the title.

Well, discord isn't really for business purposes, some projects adopted it due to its good features but in reality, it's used for gaming and streaming due to its mic and audio feature. So I think it's your friend's fault for trusting someone easily on discord like that. Every platform has holes where clueless people can be targeted easily by scammers. Try to consult and always ask from experts, we can do research on google how each application work. In discord, there's a unique number after the # on the profile, it can't be changed.

And please, don't do money first transaction, if the person didn't show any good reputation or proofs of legitimacy then don't.  Wink
1835  Other / Beginners & Help / Best guide so far... on: February 18, 2020, 02:19:19 PM
All of us have different reasons for staying here on this platform.
Most of us have targeted posting to make income and some are here to learn cryptocurrency.

I have realized recently that we should make a goal that's affiliated with cryptocurrency 'cause it's just a waste if you learned all those facts and information about crypto on this platform for income. Some are not giving any attention to informative topics but in reality, knowledge is power and more important than anything else.

So, questions came up to my mind...

"What should be my destination if I learn even more about the cryptocurrency?"

"What if the cryptocurrency disappear?"

This is the reality that some people are very good to make income but can't even remember those single information they read. Most of us don't know how will they apply bitcoin in their life and just wanted to earn more through campaigns. Do you think you consider yourself as part of this community if your desires on this platform are for personal only?

The only way to make our community grow more is to embrace the use of modern technology especially cryptocurrency in our life. It's an opportunity that is given to us and by giving back, we should show to the community that we really admire blockchain and bitcoin because it's the one that supports us now on our financial needs sometimes. If you're asking me what's my contribution to the community, I just simply adapted the technology behind it which is blockchain on academic aspects.

It's just a thought of mine why am I here and you should think about it also. Is it really for the money or development of our community?
I think this is the best guide so far for a newbie to make a better path on their journey here.
1836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your recommended ways of gambling. on: February 18, 2020, 01:48:36 PM
I just have few experiences in gambling in crypto, but I'm playing actual gambling sometimes. If you want to win, be wise, dedicated and strengthen your fighting spirit on gambling so you'll not feel any regret when receiving losses.

If you always pursuing to get the reward instantly then your losses will be frequent. Try to enjoy every decision you make and as time goes by, you'll know the reality behind gambling. Take note that every bet is a risk, be aware of your decisions.

I play gambling for fun and unexpected winnings are coming to me.  Cheesy
1837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't be a hypocrite and admit that you are a gambler on: February 18, 2020, 01:40:50 PM
Actually you have a point, everyone already experiences gambling in a different category, maybe in our daily lives without experiencing it, but that is different when you are spending money for real gambling(On casinos both online and offline), some people take a loan just for gambling, selling stuff and that is gambling addiction, that's a different story, right? Purchasing stuff I consider those as investment or just luxury things, not gambling.
Agree, different aspects and category. It doesn't mean we're having risking something, it's a gamble. Sometimes it's given to us to make us strong and have good decision making in life. But to take the literal meaning of gambling, it talks about risk in money and probably it tackles the actual gambling we knew.

So I can't agree to some people says that we gamble in life, it's just some exaggerated phrases or hyperbole.
1838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among us here has been addicted but successfully cured addiction? on: February 18, 2020, 12:01:45 AM
I read that there are people who are addicted in gambling but they are successfully cured from addiction, I'm interested to know what are the methods they do in order to get cured from such addiction, I use the word cured because gambling is a serious problem, I call it as a disease, so please share you experience so we can also help those who might have been experiencing an addiction right now.
Im an addicted gambler before and it took me some time to recover because honestly its hard to stop especially I always think of my losses and want to keep trying to gamble to recover it.

To overcome this addiction my family had to seek for professional help and take me far from the city for months to stop playing. I dont have access to the internet and there's no way to play physical gambling so it help me to forget.

Now I still gamble but with limitation, I know how hard it is to become addicted but you have to help yourself to overcome it.
I think to completely stop the addiction, you need something to replace those. IMO, taking you out of town is not quite effective because you only rested your mind on gambling but the dark web of your mind still wants to gamble. Learning from mistakes or replacing those and making gambling as entertainment will make you completely surpass the addiction caused by gambling. Hoping for you to get fully recovered on addiction, if you still play gambling even though there's a limitation, a time will come that you'll go back on your addiction status.
1839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Leave gambling, if it destroys you. on: February 17, 2020, 11:56:03 PM
Fun fact, you don't have to gamble just cover up your debt.

you wont believe what happen to me before.  before whenever i have a a debt , i always win something big   . take not i dont borrow money to gamble but i borrow money to be used on the house or as allowance because my salary is short   .

i also have a job so i dont depend on gambling to earn  but i only play gambling for fun  .  i just cant believe that i can win  .  ill then wd and pay my debts in advance but if i dont have a debt , i hardly win  . strange  .
But still it's not recommended 'cause not all of the people have the same luck you have and that luck of yours are not always there to make you survive. I also experienced the case you have, winning or making money instantly especially when there are many funds to cover up. Luckily, these things happen to us but expect that worst are coming soon, people are equal and experiencing the same thing.

If we are in debt, then try to grind every day to cover those. If you can control yourself for not borrowing money or can avoid loans, then it's better.
1840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't be a hypocrite and admit that you are a gambler on: February 17, 2020, 11:51:07 PM
Lol. It doesn't mean you're risking something, you will be called a gambler. Sometimes in life, there are difficult problems that require good decision making, which means it's already part of the life to make decisions in every scenario we're taking. So I prefer to call myself a decision-maker or risk-taker than a gambler since both are facing risk and should be solved quickly.

Gambler is risking something, that's the money. While in life, you're not risking something 'cause every decision you're making, it automatically creates a path for your future.
