261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BON] Bon PeKaO - The Digital Currency on: June 14, 2016, 04:16:00 AM
I think the bon died a long time ago, does it really need to come back as a crypto now?

everyone is entitled to their own opinion
and i am sure you have heard the old saying about people and their oppinions

Amore Jaz

I just might, but I don't think its a needed coin. But I like to diversify so I may get a few BON for the collection.

263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a long-term strategy to deal with "lost" bitcoins? on: June 14, 2016, 03:41:59 AM
Remember though, if your worried about a diminishing money supply, you can always go out to more than 8 decimal places with bitcoin, which in theory, could create unlimited amounts of coins.

Not unlimited amounts of coins, unlimited amounts of satoshis.

Sounds like its actually a good idea to open up some sort of business helping people with lost passwords ect. You could charge a fortune but is it even possible. How long can it take to try and crack the wallet.

If it's a good password and the original password setter can't provide input about possible characters, it's pretty much impossible to crack with today's technology. If parts of the password are known, a custom word list could be created and a brute force crack could be attempted.

When quantum computing is more widely available, all bets are off.

yeah, once quantum computing comes out its a whole different ball game, but when I made my post I was assuming that the people with the lost passwords would have some idea of what it could be. Otherwise there would e no point.

Zombies zombies everywhere.

Please stop necroing threads from 2014 :S
The OP came in here and posted an update. Don't be such a grump LOL it was a huge news story at the time as the first house sold for Bitcoin. Can you think of a more legitimate use for Bitcoin THAN BUYING A HOUSE?!

I remember when this was all over the news. I'm glad to see the op coming back and updating us.
OP, are you planning on holding them all or do you have plans to lock in some of your profit.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Krypton KR - Smart Contracts, DAPPs Development for Business Systems & IoT on: June 14, 2016, 01:31:00 AM
Hoovering up some cheap coins while everyone gets exited about BTC.

Same here my friend  Wink

I'm taking some of the Bitcoin profits and putting into a few cryptos but I put 50% into KR and split the other 50% up into 3 to 4 other coins.

I think KR is a smart investment but now I'm curious to know what other coins you invested in.
269  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stop giving your cheap btc to whales thanks to Wyckoff ! on: June 13, 2016, 09:03:06 PM
This thread should be in purple with a sticker. Lots of good info to gather from here, not saying the op is 100% accurate but some good reads on this thread that most traders should read.

Not too much to this announcement. Seems to be the rage these days, release an announcement with nothing in it.

Russian, Filipino, French reserved. Mgrover, what Indian language do you mean because they're plenty of Indian languages in India.
For everyone else. We hope to have the full announcement launched some time tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a pretty subjective term. Tomorrow for you is not the same as it is for millions of other people. Can you please try to set a time zone next time you make an update.

Tomorrow is now today for me. I hope you'll have the announcement up before I need to go to sleep. because I'm really excited about what this could be.
Watching.
274  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before and After the Halving. on: June 13, 2016, 08:34:49 AM
Based on what I read , mostly said that bitcoin halving will have a positive effect to us. Maybe holding your bitcoin is really the best thing to do.

of course its the best thing to do. Bitcoin is going to go parabolic and we are all in for the ride.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just another example of Martingale lose on: June 13, 2016, 07:23:03 AM
Martingale works, his bets were just too big for his bankroll. You need to have enough to take 10 losses at least before you win one.
You are half right.  He was betting far too big for his bank, so the inevitable big loss came quicker than should have been the case.

Even if he had bet small or had a massive bank, he would lose it all eventually. Martingale is just pushing the losses back, until eventually the odds catch up with you and you lose it all!

Well not even martingale can save you from that. When you are up you need to walk away and add to you bankroll so you can continue to see another day. But yeah, way too big bets for such a tiny bankroll.
