WIN A GPU with GPUcs!!!  http://www.gpucoinforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2750

Yes, you can win a 280x GPU just by mining or entering to win!

I'm absolutely thrilled to see these ideas.  To help support, first 20 people that post in the thread will get sponsored by me with a free entry "10k"

First! (okay - a bit over-anxious, I admit)  Smiley

too late?

Too late for what?
No offence, i am getting confused with what comp is what. Rediculous. I hate forums..

Hi guys,

My name is Nikolay and I have been chosen for markeing department of the GPU coin project from the CEO Jaymes Rayley.

I just want to tell you that we are shortly starting a massive marketing campaign on bitcointalk, litecointalk and social media. Marketing acitvities will include some surprises as you will get the chance to take part of contests and win video cards!

I will not reveal much inormation as I want to keep it as a surprise but you will see it all in the next few days when it will go live. However, the only thing I can say to you now as a super insider tip is:

Prepare your tickets and get on the train, either with mining or buying, because it is shortly leavning the station and you better get it NOW, instead of looking like this guy below:

STAY TUNED!!!

What Guy.. You would benefit from a spelling lesson first..

Q. Am i right in calculating that you would need 2260000.00000000 coins to get one gpu for $390 at the current buy price of 0.00000031

Ok, so if the price rises to a high of 0.00000150 you will only need 467000.00000000 gpu coins approx give or take a few hundred coins here.

If the price reaches 0.00000500 then you will only need 140000.00000000 gpu coins (GPUC) for a price of $390

So it seems to me my previous theory was slightly out. Because as the price rises people will need less coins.

OK. Now it seems to me that the best results for everyone is a high price including the buyers. Why, if we all push the price up, we will need less coins to buy.,. so everyone is a winner, even the buyers on the exchange as the price would BENEFIT from a higher price they only need a small amount of coins to buy GPUs from the store and gain from the increasing price rises as this will always go up, always.. Now as long as the store does not change their prices to counteract this climb, then we are all in a win win situation here.

CEO, do you plan to increase the prices as the exchange prices rise. No, i would say as they can also sell their coins at the higher prices so dont need to make a fortune, if they tried that this coin will fall flat on its face. so its down to your desicion making that can change this coin for the good or bad.., But we need to know what your plans are as this is a major factor that can influence the coins future and your own business. If you only fluctuate according to your purchase prices then we are all good to go. then i know what i will be doing and that is grabbing what ever coins i can now...

Now if thousands of people get just a few thousand coins they could find that this is all that is needed to buy a GPU.. Think about it.. See you on the exchange.. lol

Lets just watch the demand grow from today. Currently at Total Volume   44,155,940.0351   5.5848

266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | GPU Store Front Opening Sunday on: March 21, 2014, 10:56:47 PM
I finally found some items I wanted in stock at my distributor, ordered them, paid in full on the 18th from a warehouse only 500 miles away and awaited the tracking info.  I got an e-mail the following day saying they couldn't find the items in their warehouse but said they had all of the cards in another location and would be shipping them out shortly, to which I told them all they needed to do was make sure the items would be here by this weekend, to which they promised me no worries.  I checked my e-mail yesterday and was met with some bad news; they shipped all of the items from California via UPS ground.  I tried giving UPS a call, but all of the boxes were already on a truck and traveling cross country so they couldn't help.

So, to alleviate any worries I am letting all the good people know that the store front will be open on Sunday like planned, but any orders will be shipped out on Thursday when all the stock arrives(check out tracking at the bottom).  GPUC from sales will NOT be dumped on the market place all at once but will instead be spread out as much as is feasibly possible to keep the market stable.

Selling prices are as follows, given in USD but will be selling for the equivalent of GPUC:
Sapphire Toxic R9 280X : $390 + shipping
Sapphire R7 240 : $27 + shipping
Gigabyte R9 270 : $190 + shipping

My invoice from the distributor:

Thanks for the update CEO

BTC at one time was mined with gpu's then the asic's came and they moved to LTC....now the asic's are coming for scrypt and the move to -n begins.
Agree. Scrypt asics are only going do to plain scrypt coins what SHA256 asics did to bitcoin. They'll drive the difficulty off the charts and move the GPU miners who don't have or want to spend $1000s on them somewhere else. IMHO you'll only have a handful of plain scrypt coins left and the difficulty will make them less and less desirable to mine and once that happens they'll be plenty of people stuck with scrypt asic miner they can't sell for anywhere near what they paid for them if they can sell them at all since they have no other use other than mining. On the other hand GPUs will always have a resale value.

Not being funny but i am waiting for my own Asic miner to come and looking to order another once i am happy. I cant see a problem with having both asic and gpu as i will be keeping my gpu miner as well as the asic running 24/7

There will always be coins created from both corners, GPUcoin just makes it easier for the people to keep mining with their gpus. which is great.. But they will never be able to rule the coins, however hard people try..
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | GPU Store Front Opening Sunday on: March 21, 2014, 10:33:00 AM
Come on everyone lets get together and push this coin onwards and upwards. If you have a twitter account or facebook account. Then push a message out there that #GPUcoin is about to roll out their gpus in exchange for #GPUcoin.. Visit the exchange to purchase your coins now before Sunday launch.

Or something like:

Want to get into cryptocoins, then there couldn't be a smarter move than buying gpucoins, purchase a GPU at below market value with #gpucoin

Or if anyone else has any phrases we can all use, then pass on your thoughts, you could even add that to the competitions, for the best phrases..
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | GPU Store Front Opening Sunday on: March 20, 2014, 09:22:47 PM
Means they are not sleeping much, cause they are working their asses off, trying to meet the deadline for the store opening. So, I haven't bugged them trying to get details about things that may change between now and then anyways. Still, with opening of the store imminent, difficulty is rising, price is rising, and interest is rising. All without a working block explorer at the moment, keeping the coin from its true place on coinmarketcap.com.

The block explorer has been fixed, I already sent Gliss a PM with the updated link for total GPUC supply.

Sorry to everyone who wants more input from myself into the thread, but between meeting with lawyers, my CPA, dealing with stocking cards in a market that is completely sold out and other miscellaneous items, my hands are pretty full on this end.  I do plenty of cards that were shipped out today so they will arrive just in time.  I will post a nice picture once they all arrive.

I'm just elated that there is such a forgiving community that saw this coin through the rough start and continue to offer support, I can't say thanks enough.  Here's looking forward to Sunday~

No worries, you carry on fella. Thanks to the dev and other team members for the update from all of you at the same time. This is all people ask for not a long conversation.

But he is not getting the stock at bulk price, as he has pointed out, so the question is: Can he still beat other retailers' price without lowering below his actual cost??
If he can, still I doubt it, we can go back to the first paragraph.
If he can't, well, he is gonna have to, assuming he still wants to keep evolving his business.
Or after some effort, but not working, he just quit but keep the store open with the GPU as before, so not to be called a scammer. Remember, he got 70BTC IPO, which is enough for not to invest a dime himself to start this and getting the initial stock, which worth a lot and nobody is buying.

I wouldn't be too concerned. It this doesn't work there is always a backup plan. Me... lol.. I will assist and get this moving, i have ideas that will move the coin in the upward direction. I am sure the CEO has already thought of it, but i will wait and see. There are lots of combinations to evolve this business.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | GPU Store Front Opening Sunday on: March 20, 2014, 05:09:30 PM
Its all rumours at the moment, once Sunday comes, we will finally see how they plan on selling the Gpus. Looking forward to it, thats how sad my life is getting. lol..

Not sure if the devs know, but spoke to coinmarketcap and they said the issue with the GPU coin on their site is:

'The coins's block explorer is malfunctioning': http://explorer2.sancrypto.info/chain/GPUCoin/q/totalbc
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Store Opening Sunday on: March 20, 2014, 01:21:46 PM
now that newegg is selling 280x's for $300 and 290 tri-X's for $500 will the gpus at the webstore be any cheaper than they are in the op?

Exactly, but i hope i am wrong about my thoughts and GPU coins does something completely different.

Exciting times.

Keep up the good work GPUcoin Team.. I will still be here all the way with you.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | Store Opening Sunday on: March 20, 2014, 10:43:49 AM
Just thought I would post this calculation to show why I believe GPUC will be a success and will be used by people who haven't even mined any.

I pulled all the figures off crypto-rush exchange about 20 mins ago.

So lets say you have only just heard of GPUC and your balance is at 0

Current BTC price is around $600

According to the front page the selling price of a R9 280x will be $480 which is 0.8 BTC

At the current price of 0.00000029 you will need 2,758,620 GPUC to purchase a 280x

As the price is going to be directly linked to the exchange, as the price in GPUC/BTC goes up the amount of GPUC you will need comes down.

Buy 323,814.75 GPUC at 0.00000029 = 0.09390268 BTC
Buy 137,152     GPUC at 0.00000030 = 0.04114560 BTC
Buy 50,000       GPUC at 0.00000031 = 0.01550000 BTC
Buy 30,000       GPUC at 0.00000033 = 0.00990000 BTC
Buy 100,964.12 GPUC at 0.00000034 = 0.03432780 BTC
Buy 502,354.18 GPUC at 0.00000035 = 0.17582397 BTC
Buy 667,799.73 GPUC at 0.00000036 = 0.24.4.790 BTC
Buy 25,820.54  GPUC at 0.00000037 = 0.00955360 BTC
Buy 35,000      GPUC at 0.00000038 = 0.01330000 BTC
Buy 58,240      GPUC at 0.00000039 = 0.002271393 BTC

Now as you have pushed the price up to 0.00000039 you will only need a total of 2,000,000 GPUC at 0.00000040 to purchase a 280x

Buy 68,853.85 GPU at 0.00000040 = 0.02754154 BTC

So you now have a total of 2,000,000 GPUC enough to purchase your 280x

Where this gets interesting is when you add up how much it has cost you in BTC to purchase those 2,000,000

you will need to spend 0.6636 BTC which is roughly $398 that's $82 cheaper than if you bought from the store directly in $

This is only an example, and once things get up and running properly, there will be more volume on the exchange, and you may only push the price from say 0.00000029 up to 0.00000034
to get you desired amount of GPUC but the same principle applies.

There is a flaw, in that the price will only go up to a level that is equal to the price of a gpu or less. otherwise people will just go and pay for one with cash.. So the price can only go so high any more and people will be throwing away money..

I'm not sure exactly what you mean.

Surely the price of GPUC can go to whatever the market pushes it to.

If in the unlikely event it went up to say 0.001 BTC you would then need only 800 GPUC to purchase a 280x using the above figures.

800 x 0.001 = 0.8 BTC you would never pay more than what the graphics card is worth BTC/GPUC/$ value

Ok, look at it like this. Why buy gpucoin? to get a gpu, am i right.. or am i wrong.. If i am wrong and the people buy just because they want to make money on the coin, buying and selling the coins, then we will could still see a steep rise. But i have doubts, because if people know what the coin is being used for purchasing the gpu's then they would not buy coins that work out more expensive than buying one in a store..

Where are you getting more expensive than in a store from?

As I posted in the calculation using those figures (which may not be accurate as far as the $ sale price of a 280x) You are getting a $480 graphics card for $398

If when the shop front opens the sale price in $ of a 280x has come down to say $400 then you would get one for about $320

Your missing the point, you are looking at this from a sellers perspective and as a miner and not a buyers perspective, which is important as this will determine the price not the sellers.. As i said before the price on the exchange is only governed by what people will pay, Yes.. Then why would the price rise any higher than what it costs me to buy one in the shops with cash. Meaning why waste my time buying GPU coins that will be the same price as they are to purchase a gpu in the shops. Whatever gpu coin sells their gpus for, this makes no difference unless someone can buy the coins when the price is low and sell high. etc.. The price of gpucoin will be going up and down all day long.. But will never go any higher than the price of a gpu in the stores. As people will simply spend their money on one from a store or from gpucoin themselves. The price is irrelevant cancels itself out.. Unless they have something else of a higher value than the gpus. Price has just risen to 0.00000044 by the way.

In fact as the coins become harder to mine, less people will want to bother. And the whole idea will just fizzle out.

Now, i could be completely off track here and would like someone to correct me where possible if they think i am incorrect.

I wish GPU coin every success as i am an IPO member myself i want to gain from this coin. But when you mentioned the price structure above, something made me realise they MAY have problems as it currently stands.

Does  anyone know why GPUC  is still on the bottom of the  low volume list on coinmarket cap?

Probably because people are not buying and selling. Wait until the store front is launched then watch it rise..
any current updates on this part of the project ?

As far as i know it was originally Sunday for the grand opening, but i have since read that it has changed to Monday. Need some clarification from the dev or CEO on this would be a nice.

Thought i would try a simple survey about cryptos in general. would be nice if you could provide some feedback and mayebe let me know if there is any questions missing that you think should be included or removed from the survey.

Don't worry no personal details are exposed. Its just a straight forward survey about cryptos.
