261  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitLasers.com - Handheld Lasers and accessories on: October 28, 2013, 03:28:47 AM
Hi, just want to inform that Bitlasers will be participating in Bitcoin Friday 2013, just like last year Smiley

I forgot about Bitcoin Friday. I'm looking forward to it.

Woohoo!
262  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on [BTC-TC] on: October 27, 2013, 08:25:56 PM
supposed to be some dividends today to one of my addresses right?

Last Cognitive div I got was on 10/06, so tomorrow looks like the day for those.

Are we going to be getting the previous two weeks' then as well though?

The dividends for the past month will go out the same day we are moved to the new exchange, which has asked me not to disclose any information (even their name) until everything is finalized. This will probably be this week, but if not, I will send out dividends manually on Saturday (six days from this post) manually, just as a backup plan.

Rest assured things are indeed progressing and we are well on our way to becoming an actively traded asset again.

Cheers,
Garrett
263  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [BFL CHIPS] Group-Purchase :: 100 Chips ordered 6.16.2013 on: October 27, 2013, 08:23:44 PM
Hi,

I have called BFL, and BFL assures me that the chips shipped on Friday. This is very shady of them because they told me the chips shipped about two weeks ago. I will call them tomorrow morning and request that they be refunded. I agree that this has taken them a ridiculous amount of time and I don't want to take delivery on the chips that I bought for myself either.

I will post back here tomorrow.

I got a tracking # from BFL a few weeks ago but have not received anything yet. I will call them tomorrow and post back here when I have info.

Hey Garr, any news on when the rest of the refunds will be processed? It has been two weeks since my request.

Thanks

I have processed all refund requests submitted to me. Please make sure you typed the address correctly and send it again. If I still don't get it just PM me here and I will get you taken care of.

Cheers,
Garrett

Thanks for the input all, and the insight Carnth.

I believe giving PT holders actual shares will be the best option here, but I will still want to hold a vote so the decision will ultimately be made by Cognitive shareholders.

Best,
Garrett
267  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on [BTC-TC] on: October 24, 2013, 05:59:52 AM
What is to become of the Cognitive-PT security on litecoinglobal?

+1, I am also interested in this answer.

Sorry for not being able to tell you instantly. The choices are to either convert the PT shares (which didn't actually entitle one to a Cognitive share) to actual Cognitive shares, or to refund all shares at the final trade price of 3.041 litecoins.

Most likely we will raise a motion so Cognitive shareholders can decide between those two options.

I think you forgot scam between the laugh and the fight in your signature.

BadBear, shut the fuck up, papa. Now im not reposting deleted posts cause I added some stuffs. Oh wait, are you also a garrscam shill!?

I report stuff like this and get told back I am wrong for reporting it. I send it anyway. The mods do see it. Don;t forget guys, ModsRGodz lulz,.

Kakobrekla is the slanderous soul that I haven't ignored because I have to report so many of his posts. Now that this thread is turning against him he (or a mod, as usual) deleted these later posts, he should stop with the rambling because nobody listens to him.

Let us just look forward I suppose, we have bigger fish to fry Smiley

269  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: HashFast -- $5500 November Sierra! MPP included! on: October 22, 2013, 08:16:17 PM
Hi all,

This weekend I flew to San Francisco and negotiated the deal for inau. He has ordered more than enough units to cover the sale specified on this thread, all scheduled to arrive in November.

Additionally, I will be providing free BTC and USD escrow for the first 20 orders from inau, then I will charge a nominal 1% fee per transaction. Standard transfer fees will apply if you choose to go the USD route.

Cheers,
Garrett
270  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on [BTC-TC] on: October 21, 2013, 07:25:04 PM
Hey all,

Dividends will be going out this Saturday directly to your bitcoin addresses. I apologize for the delayed payments here. Rest assured they will start coming as usual this Saturday, the 26th.

Beyond that, I am at work to finish up moving our assets by the end of the month. An update will come when it's all in place!

Best,
Garrett

Just out of curiosity. Is that wallet paying for your trip?

Nope, HashFast paid for the flight, and I paid for the hotel.

Hello Garr,
why are the Avelon Chips still listed as expense? What happened to the refund?
And could please post a little more details:

Income statements should separate like you did it before.

I will fix those accounting issues when I get home tomorrow. Sorry for the confusion there.

Edit: Flights changed so the site will not be updated until Sunday.

I see last dividend at 7th of october, then nothing  Huh

Same here.

I am also curious to know where the dividends are going right now? Still through btct or should we be getting them directly to our bitcoin address?
Well at the moment right into Garr's pocket

The dividends are going to a wallet dedicated to Cognitive, separate from my personal funds, so that statement is false.

Dividends are being held until the announcement at the end of October, which will then be distributed to the Bitcoin/Litecoin address you have submitted.

Right now I am on my way to San Francisco to negotiate a deal with Hashfast. It has always been my philosophy to diversify in mining hardware, so as to minimize potential loss (in the event of a non-delivery).

I'll post back in ~30 hours describing how this goes!

Cheers,
Garrett

Any news about witch exchange will be used?

That will be coming in the update at the end of the month.

Cheers,
Garrett

Hello everyone,

As someone holding FIMB shares on BTCT.CO I thought of coming here and ask why no dividends have been paid in October. Has Garrett made any announcement regarding this issue?

So there is no answer to this? I see it a rather serious situation as technically Garrett is on default and investors don't seem to care. Even if you don't have FIMB shares but are holding Cognitive shares this should be of concern to you.

Garrett, can you give some explanation please?

Hey,

Now that trading is halted, dividends will be paid manually to those who have submitted their BTC address to BTC-TC. If you have not done this, I have sent you an email stating that dividends will go out only to those who have submitted an address started November 1, and October divs are being delayed until the 15th to allow fair time to submit BTC addresses, so as to ensure no btc are stuck in BTC-TC after the closure.

I am currently working on a plan to migrate seamlessly to another trading platform. There should be very little grief involved in the process.

Cheers,
Garrett

Hi, are dividends coming today? Will you make an announcement regarding this?

Yes FIMB will be paid out today.
278  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bye bye bitcoin on: October 14, 2013, 08:04:06 PM
I'm (hopefully quite clearly) a huge advocate of bitcoin, so keep that into account. I believe one is extremely foolish to have a zero balance in any currency which has the potential at being the most valuable one in existence. I personally, while most of my wealth in in BTC, try to deversify as much as it makes sense to (this is different for everyone) into other currencies, such as Swiss, Japanese, Canadian, Norwegian, and even the Euro (which like the dollar is "too big to fail").

Hey all,

I'm actively working on a plan to move all assets to a platform we can all trade freely on. Rest assured I'm still alive and at work!

Details will come toward the end of October.

Cheers,
Garrett
