hahah no problem. No reason to supply us with 100k for something that should take a day at most I know you are busy but could you make a decision on https://github.com/mastercoin-MSC/spec/pull/1 ? It doesn't matter either way but a decision needs to be made so we can move on. I'm kinda waiting on the outcome at the moment Actually, we're taking this very seriously, because we don't want to be seen as going back on what we said. We may actually still do it at that higher price, which would be a HUGE payday for you guys, and would make us all very happy. Sorry for the uncertainty. This is still being hashed out and not everybody on the board has weighed in yet. Regarding the pull request, sorry - I need to figure out how to turn on email notifications for github discussions. I'm sure it's trivial. I've read through the discussion, and I'm going to merge this pull request once I figure out how to deal with the conflicts.

Sending dev MSC to you guys is a bit controversial at the previously quoted number. The board is currently discussing this, since at current prices the 1500 MSC we discussed sending earlier would be worth ~$100k, which is stupidly out of proportion with the amount of work involved with recognizing dev MSC.
I really need to get out of the habit of quoting prices in MSC. I'm guessing the actual send will be closer to the value it had when I first mentioned this. Something like $10k worth of MSC, if I recall correctly. This is currently under discussion.
I hope you guys weren't spending money in anticipation of a windfall!
This change is my fault (for quoting prices in MSC), and I apologize.

Sweet mother of mercy.
I feel kind of responsible for all the money you guys are investing in this idea. Makes me a bit queezy. Doesn't help me sleep at night, either.
Lishbtc your payment should get done today. Hopefully soon.

Did you guys notice that the massive sell order from buymastercoin.com at ~0.28 magically disappeared?
buymastercoin.com handles large orders from people who wish to buy or sell anonymously.
And that's all I'll say about that.

I haven't touched that code since I first published it! I probably won't touch it again unless something major comes up, but thanks for pointing that out. You can do a pull request against my repo if you're feeling ambitious Note that the spec treats a message sending more than your current balance as sending your entire balance, so that should work for anybody looking to transfer their entire balance.

First set of cold-storage addresses for project funds: All coins are already stored offline. This is just moving some of them even MORE offline (paper wallets). I plan to split 1000BTC among these ten addresses (100 BTC each address). More addresses will be posted soon once people get them to me. The board knows the identity of everyone entrusted with these funds, and if any of this money ever disappears, we'll let you know who was in charge of it. Thanks

but the 0.15 offer still stands (for you/the project only), Cheers. What? - are you Santa Clause? you are giving this stuff away? I'll take 300 at .15 if you've got them. Please note this is a special price for JR only. It's not the first time I've allowed the project to buy under market, it's my way of giving a little back. Oh, and I need a BTC address from you lishbtc. Thanks!

I'm trading at 0.22 at the mo but the 0.15 offer still stands (for you/the project only), Cheers.
OK - I apologize for being slow to pay on this. I have a bunch of other stuff to pay from 1Exodus, which I'll probably do by Friday at the latest. I'd like to pay for these when I do that, if that is ok by you. I'll post this in the thread too, since I promised to, but I really doubt anybody will try to beat your offer unless the price crashes for some reason lishbtc , the actual purchase (according to the current BTC/USD exchange rate) will be 3.15 BTC for 21 MSC if I'm doing my math right. Is that ok by you? edit: As mentioned earlier this thread, Stas told me his MSC address is 12D1x4kUAej19N2EAPzyhuimxh7XV6UqN3

Buying 400 MSC @ 0.125. lol Hey Pouncer - can you put me down for buying 5000 MSC @ .01? I'd like the original price please. Stop this please! Right - the going price today is .2 (as you clearly understand) and the guy bids .125? That's worth having a laugh about. Lighten up Francis. besides, if you don't like my garbage - just use the mechanical ignore feature if your brain is too feeble to handle that function automatically like most people. Sigh. Sadly, I did not make this a self-moderated thread. Soon, we'll have the distributed exchange and I'll lock this thing forever It's important to have some buy orders available for people who decide they want to sell. This gives us some resistance to sudden downward moves. I hope none of you are operating under the assumption that MSC values will only ever go up. I don't think anybody is more bullish than me, but I won't be surprised to see 90% pullbacks on the way up, like when bitcoin crashed from over $30 to $2 in 2011. That kind of price action shakes out the weak hands, but you have to have a strong stomach to hold your coins through something like that (I did). Everybody can see now that holding (or better still, buying) in that crash would have been an amazing investment. It wasn't so clear when it happened though. It went down, and it stayed down for a long time. If you don't think something like that can happen to Mastercoin, you're fooling yourself. (I don't intend to crash the market, but I can't control other people).

Bitoy sent his address via PM: Hi dacoinminster, Here is my msc address 1Fq37GNfyxSvnmye3QdxH6GpPAQ3enarfs Thank you for including mymastercoins It may be a couple of days yet before I send the MSC. I've got a ton of other stuff to catch up on.

Bitoy, can I have a MSC address for you please? I think you should be included when I send the devs some MSC from the Exodus Address.
I was going to send 1500 between you all, and it seems that I had better get a move on before that becomes worth more than our current contest!
(This is a fun little incentive I mentioned before to make sure all our web clients recognize dev Mastercoins)

None of the websites recognize those coins yet. Don't worry, they will. I'm planning on sending some of those MSC to each of the website owners. I hate to distract them from what they are doing now though. Also, we're bullish on MSC here at the Mastercoin Foundation. So we'd much rather buy them than spend the ones we have Mymastercoins.com will recognize coins dev coins. They must come from the exodus address and are within the spending parameters. That reminds me - I think I need to get an address from you as well. I have one for the other three guys, and I keep meaning to ask you for yours. I'll post a request on the coding contest thread. Thanks!

With the last warning maybe you should gpg sign or something if you ask for a deal ? Good point. I don't mind escrowing with Maxmint or Pouncer for people who are concerned about that. I've also asked the recipient to post here, confirming his address. Other people, including Ron, can confirm this is real. My warning was actually more about somebody hacking my account and pretending to be me SELLING a bunch of MSC, which would be the attack vector most people would try. I guess some hackers might try buying, but that seems way less likely to me. Also, if I were a hacker, I'd be shooting for a heck of a lot more than a lousy 3 BTC score Also, a hacker would be in a big fat hurry to complete the transaction before I noticed my account was stolen. This transaction will probably take a couple days as I make sure that Stas is getting the best available price.

The fact that you perceive my occasional polite and objective comments as "mud slinging" says more about you than about me.
I know for a fact that both Ron and I think Meni is a walking brain and we respect his opinion very much, even when we disagree with him. But, this is the internet, and I guess nobody is immune to getting flames directed at them. I know I get my share

No replies on my market order yet. I PM'd StarenseN and SyRenity just now. I feel confident that somebody will eventually sell if I keep making my way up the list

I'm not even sure I'm 100% behind it, but it would make parsing much more straight forward. The thing I might not have explained enough is that I think this artificial lag should be protocol wide if we would even consider doing it. This would mean that Simple Sends that receive and send coins in the same block would also be invalid if the proper amount of the outgoing coins was not sufficient before this block, etc. Grazcoin, Zathras, Bitboy could you please join the discussion on PR #1 here https://github.com/mastercoin-MSC/spec/pull/1 I replied on that pull request thread (After some thought, I support the pull request for reasons detailed in the discussion thread there, although I don't feel strongly about it).
