261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo vs Jacobs on: April 26, 2019, 11:22:37 AM
I stopped watching boxing after Gennady Golovkin was cheated of a victory not once, but twice against Canelo Alvarez. What is the point in watching these matches if the best fighter is not the one who is going to win? The jury will select the winner, no matter whether he performs well or not. Hopefully the jury will be neutral this time, as Jacobs is American.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: April 26, 2019, 11:17:52 AM
Any result can happen but if we want some quality game then I am waiting for LFC vs Ajax because both teams full of talented and they can give some shock opponents so my these both teams for final.

My prediction for the final is Tottenham vs Barcelona. Liverpool vs Barcelona is very difficult to predict but I think that Barca will scrape through. Most of the betting sites are favoring Barca and Messi is in good form right now. Also, I think Messi has an excellent chance for his 6th Ballon D’or.  Regarding the second semi-final, Ajax has been very lucky in the tournament till now. But their luck will run out next week against Tottenham.
263  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to trading? Learn to be an emotionless trading machine on: April 26, 2019, 11:07:30 AM
Whatever the OP has written is 100% correct and my own trading experience during the last 7 years prove it. Whenever I maintained strict targets for profit booking and stop loss, I ended up with nice profit. But when I allowed emotions to overcame me (or perhaps greed got in to my mind), some of my trades gave me very heavy losses.
264  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HODL IS THE BEST OPTION FOR ME NOW on: April 26, 2019, 10:56:31 AM
HODL doesn't mean that you need to hold your coins in the cold storage for 25 years. The crypto-market will be having its ups and downs. In case you want  to profit out of crypto, then you need to buy your coins when the prices are low and sell them when the prices are high. There is no point in holding on to the volatile and unstable altcoins for many years.
That is ridiculous to see a person who can manage to hold for that long. What probably his plan? x1million? Just a year of holding might be enough to know if that certain coin have its better future or not. We don't need to spend for that long with nothing assurance in returns. Why not to have a trade into other coins which we look that it there is a profit could be generated and holding for a long time is just a waste of time.

There are some basic rules that I follow while participating in the bounty campaigns. I normally sell 40% of the bounty as soon as I get the tokens in my wallets. I sell the remaining 40% within the next two to four weeks and keep the remaining 20% for long term. I have done this for more than 50 bounty campaigns, and I have to say that not a single one out of these 50 tokens gave me good returns in the long term.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Red Trusted Managers Don't Accept Red Trusted Participants on: April 26, 2019, 10:54:07 AM
Isn't it unfair?

Most of the bounty managers has red trust but they never accept red trusted participants mostly on their signature campaign. If ico making this decision so why are they hiring a red trusted manager?
This might occur due to an agreement from the manager and the ico team. but indeed things like this cannot be protested too far because we are only participants. if indeed you cannot follow these rules then you can leave the projeck.

This is the basic problem with bounty campaigns. There are too many bounty hunters around and they have hardly any bargaining power. The team can change the rules whenever they want and no one is going to say anything. If they are not interested in hiring a good bounty manager, then that is the first sign that something shady is present.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Spirit of Bounty Hunting on: April 26, 2019, 10:51:41 AM
One of the most important things when choosing a bonus is that you have to research the project before joining the bonus. You should research the project about product goals, routes, groups and mentors.

That is not going to help you, in case the team becomes dormant after the ICO. And this has happened a lot many times. Once the team is able to dump their tokens and pocket the cash, there is no incentive to work on the project any further. In such cases, both the bounty hunters and the individuals who had made investments during the ICO are going to suffer.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any idea about cryptopia on: April 26, 2019, 10:49:09 AM
Cryptopia was hacked like not so long time ago and unfortunately as far as I know almost all funds were stolen. They are trying to fix this issue and to find the hackers for about the last several months, but without success till now.

Nope. According to them, less than 10% of the funds were stolen and the team was able to secure the remaining funds to cold storage. Now I can't confirm the accuracy of their claim, but at this point I believe them. Finding the hackers is like searching for a needle in the haystack. It is going to take a lot of time and manpower, and there is even a chance that this hacker will never be find.
268  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks $5,600 As New Highs Are Achieved For 2019 on: April 26, 2019, 10:44:13 AM
It looks like Bitcoin is struggling to breach $5.5K. The current scenario looks very different from what we had in 2017. Back then, there was strong demand which was neutralized by strong supply. But now, both the supply and demand looks weak and the overall trade volumes are down. So there is a chance that any upcoming rally will be more mild and moderate.

In fact, it wouldn't even have been a struggle if sellers had actually tried to put up resistance but they're not. Just check out the volumes, so thin, so unconvincing, which tells me, sellers are just waiting for that to go higher and happy to just let the weak walls fall down on their own once buyers run out of steam.

It's very strange to see this though, very strange. But importantly, nowhere like the 2017 scenario.

The 2017 scenario was very different. At first we had a lot of positive coverage from the mainstream media. Encouraged by these reports a lot of middle-class individuals jumped the ship hoping that they'll become super-rich overnight, although many of them didn't had any basic understanding of Bitcoin. These people have learnt their lesson and are not going to commit the same mistake again.
269  Economy / Economics / Re: KYC for penny money? on: April 26, 2019, 10:41:28 AM
Doing this is absurd, selling your identity documents for such a meager amount of money would do you know good people. Have some dignity, work and you will be paid to have a very comfortable living.

A lot of people here are living in extreme poverty so they don't have much to lose by selling their personal information.  ten dollars can go a long way in countries such as Venezuela and Indonesia.

If someone can afford broadband internet and smartphone then I would not say that that particular individual is living in "extreme" poverty. And take my word. No matter how poor someone is, he is not going to give you the scanned copy of his passport for just $10. Even stolen passports can cost upwards of $1,000 on various dark markets.
270  Economy / Economics / Re: What currency shall human use when colonizing Mars on: April 26, 2019, 10:38:15 AM
I'm sure that the people living in mars will be homesick eventually and start to trade in memorabilia items. They might even use US dollars just to remind them of earth

US Dollar can be used in Mars, as long as physical cash is the format. I don't think that we'll be able to use online modes such as Paypal and Visa anytime soon due to data transfer issues. That said, there is a strong chance that any upcoming colonies in Mars will be much tempted to print their own currency rather than depending on the currencies that are being used here. Gold is another asset that can be used as cash.
271  Economy / Economics / Re: What currency shall human use when colonizing Mars on: April 25, 2019, 03:00:17 AM
The colonization of Mars should begin in 2025. This year, the necessary cargo will be sent to Mars, which will fly to Mars for about a year. As soon as the cargo is delivered, the first colonizers of Mars will fly out. They will fly at a speed of 7.9 kilometers per second for about a year. Take with them supplies for two years, until the next delivery of products. Water will be extracted on site. Colonization will take about 20 years. So everything is absolutely real.
At first there will be no money, everyone will work together for survival. In the future, everything will depend on the effectiveness of colonization. I think that first there will be barter, then there will most likely be your money. Cryptocurrencies there in the next few decades will not be accurate.

I agree with some of your points. During the initial stages, they might have to depend upon barter. Later on, once the infrastructure is established, they can create cryptos which will be used only in Mars. I don't think they can use the same cryptos which are in use here, since the data transmission issues will be present.
272  Economy / Economics / Re: KYC for penny money? on: April 25, 2019, 02:55:18 AM
I will give you one very good example of how KYC is used as an excuse to cheat the bounty hunters of their reward.

Check the SELFLLERY bounty campaign here in Bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2760236.0

It started more than one year back and by then they were talking about it running for one month. Now more than 16 months have passed and the bounty campaign is still ongoing. The spreadsheets were last updated 7-8 months back and only a few participants are now active.

Earlier, there was no KYC requirement. But now they have added it. If you don't do KYC, then you will not receive your rewards.

A lot had change, we are seeing a different approach this year but it's still good to see it rise.
The big difference now IMO is that only bitcoin is rising, altcoins are still in bear mode and therefore they could not contribute to the total volume.
However, looking on the comparison from last 2017 and today's trading volume, I can say there's also an improvement because volume now is $54 billion
according to https://coinmarketcap.com/,

Alts have gone down during the last 2-3 days. Initially, they were also in the bull mode. Bitcoin dominance is now inching closer to the 55% mark, and I think if the trend continues then it may even rise to 65% or 70% by the end of this year. A part of the lag with regards to the alts may be due to the negative incidents surrounding BSV.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any idea about cryptopia on: April 25, 2019, 02:22:29 AM

275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Spirit of Bounty Hunting on: April 25, 2019, 02:15:40 AM
That is precisely what today from the bounty hunters there is nothing more than just a spirit. Since today probably only 2% of people from all bounty hunters really earn something. Let's see what we get in the end.

All hard work for no reward. I would say the percentage of bounty hunters who actually manage to earn a good reward is somewhere around your prediction (2%). Good bounty campaigns are extremely rare nowadays, and they occur once in a blue moon. Social media bounty is profitable only if you are using dozens of alts and automated bots. Honest users can never get anything out of it.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Spirit of Bounty Hunting on: April 24, 2019, 02:44:28 PM
Of course you will need patience , the bounty when the Manager tells you that the payments are cut 10 or 20 times. In such situations, only have that to endure. On the other hand, the participants of the bounty only lose your time, not money . So there is nothing surprising in this . Suffer. Wink

I fully agree with you. Once I was enrolled to a bounty which was supposed to run for 1 month. After this period, the manager extended it to another two months (the bounty pool remained the same). And then once again, it was extended for 3 more months. And after 6 months, there was no information from anyone and I just left the campaign.

I was holding some good amount of token and ethereum in cryptopia still we couldn’t able to withdraw from exchange hope it will be sort out and we will get our fund back . If anybody having insight any genuine please let us know in this thread.

First of all, this is the official thread for the post-hack Cryptopia events:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5097601.0

And for your information, withdrawals have been enabled for BTC/LTC and DOGE. But there is a very long queue and it may take 2-3 days to get your withdrawal request to be processed. Other withdrawals may be enabled pretty soon.

Isn't it unfair?

Most of the bounty managers has red trust but they never accept red trusted participants mostly on their signature campaign. If ico making this decision so why are they hiring a red trusted manager?

Nowadays it has become very common for the bounty managers to get red trust pasted on them by the DT members. Most of the times it is due to their own fault. After starting the campaign, many of these managers go AWOL for many weeks without any prior intimation. Sometimes they keep the spreadsheets not updated for long durations. Because of these factors, it is very difficult to find a campaign manager who has neutral trust.

There are some with green trust (such as yahoo62278), but they are expensive. And since the ICOs basically want the services from bounty hunters and bounty managers for free, they may not be interested in paying such managers.

280  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What coins do you like to trade the most? on: April 24, 2019, 02:15:38 PM
For the last 7 years, these are the coins that I have used most often for trading (in descending order):

1. Litecoin
2. Ethereum
3. Bitcoin Cash
4. Monero
5. Stellar
6. Deep Onion
7. Bitsend
8. Byteball
9. Tether
10. Denarius

I have placed LTC on the top because I used to trade a lot during 2013/14 and most of the time I was doing BTC/LTC trades.
